Ranking alongside the Volkswagen Beetle, Mini and Land Rover as one of the classic mass-produced cars of the post-war era, Citroën's quirky 2CV debuted in 1949. Intended to provide basic transport in a period of post-war austerity, the 2CV outlived its humble beginnings, going on to attain cult status as the favoured car of the environmentally concerned motorist. Although the original 375cc air-cooled flat-twin engine grew, eventually, to 602cc, the 2CV's performance remained modest at around 70mph flat-out, not that that concerned the majority of its devotees for whom the roomy interior, full-length sunroof and frugal fuel consumption were of far greater importance. By the time production ceased in 1990 more than 5 million 2CVs of all types had been made.This delightful example was registered in 1987 and presents well in gleaming white coachwork with Bentley style quilted seats. This iconic French car benefitted from restoration in 2019.You cannot help but smile as you drive a 2CV and everyone tends to smile back at you. This is an inexpensive opportunity to own one of the most recognisable classic cars in the world. Consigned by Dominic Lake. RESTORED IN 2019LIMITED 'DOLLY' MODEL

Bruce Meyers is quoted as saying, “I'm an artist and I wanted to bring a sense of movement and gesture to the Manx. Dune buggies have a message, fun. They’re playful to drive and should look like it. Nothing did at the time.” Sure enough, using a basic Volkswagen chassis and engine, this radical design concept proved an instant hit both in the US and then, later, in Europe.This short wheel base Meyer Manx Evocation is presented in a stunning gold fleck with black leather bucket seats with matching carpets and sitting on American Racing wheels. Boasting a newly rebuild 1641cc twinport engine this left hand drive example was imported from the USA in 2023 and registered in the UK as an historic vehicle. Perfect for the UK summers this example also offers a full wet weather gear with removable hood so you do not get caught in those august showers! Specification on this buggy includes Powerspark electronic ignition distributor, twin cannon exhausts, Scat crank pulley, alternator conversion, US specification lights, Empi gear shifter, deep dish steering wheel, roll over bar, cassette player and speakers and footwell courtesy light. The Triumph TR6 was manufactured for seven years, starting in 1969, and by the time production came to an end in July 1976, it was the best-seller of the TR range. The bodywork closely resembled that of the previous model, the Triumph TR5, but the front and rear were squared off and all TR6s featured inline six-cylinder engines. For the US market, the engine was fitted with carburettors whilst, for other world markets including the UK, the TR6 was fitted with fuel-injection. It featured a four-speed manual gearbox, independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, 15" wheels and tyres, pile carpet on the floors and boot, bucket seats and a full complement of instruments. In total, 94,619 TR6s were built of which 86,249 were sold overseas and only 8,370 were sold in the UK.This TR6 is one of the early, more powerful, ‘CP’ models, and has been built to a fast road specification at great expense. Our vendor purchased this car in 1984 and used it as her main form of transport for many years. In 2006 the car was sent to Racetorations for over £26,000 worth of work including a full engine rebuild with oversized pistons to 2700cc, big valve head, fast road camshaft, lightened flywheel and triple Weber 40DCOE carburettors, the power output is estimated to be in the region of 180bhp. An uprated gearbox, uprated front and rear suspension, Quaife limited slip differential, four pot front calipers and a whole host of other modifications were fitted, including chassis strengthening. The result is a car which is said to drive superbly, perfect for fast road driving or track days and also would be suitable for long distance touring. The car is now being sold due to a house move, thus loss of storage space and it is ready to be enjoyed as intended. Supplied to auction with a substantial history file and current V5C registration document. Consigned by Fraser SmithGuide price: £12,000-£17,000

The original 911ST has an interesting history, probably more so due to its genuine competition lineage. During the era of early 911 production, Porsche were continuously developing their road cars for competition, and with great success. Keen to see customers using their cars in the same manner, they created a series of performance accessories that could be ordered directly from the factory to upgrade a standard car either after, or during production. In 1969 a race-oriented version of the 911 was launched known internally as the ST (the name stood for Sport Touring). The original was based on the 911 T with a 2.3 litre engine, whilst the later 2.5 was usually based on the 911S and internally known as the SR, however, most are referred to as a 2.5 ST today.Interestingly, unlike the ‘73 RS that followed, there is no particular defining characteristic for an S/T, each could be made with different combinations of racing components offered by Porsche to suit the intended use. Whether it was for rally or race, your new 911 could be equipped accordingly.S cams would usually be preferred for rallying, whilst peaky 906 cams could be specified for the most powerful short-stroke, twin-plug, fuel-injected 2.5 motors, often producing circa 270BHP+ at 8000 rpm depending on spec and application (track vs rally for example). Impressive stuff for the early Seventies. There were also a number of gearbox options with ratios for different scenarios, as well as plastic and steel fuel tanks, and a host of different other upgrades for racers around the world, and all were detailed together with setup guides for the 911 in the `Sports Purposes` booklet. Sometimes these special components were installed by the factory, and in other cases, they were installed retrospectively by dealers or racing teams. By the early 70s, this allowed privateer teams to compete with effectively works specification cars. Some early examples could be seen sporting Minilite rear wheels instead of the classic 911 Fuchs alloys, and most S/Ts featured a number of thinner steel, aluminium or fibreglass parts to keep weight down, often in different widths and profiles too.That’s what makes it so hard to define an S/T. It’s not a specific set of components, rather a combination of special components. These were race cars that were extensively modified and rebuilt in period without any thought toward their status as future collectables and as such each car is unique. Originally supplied by AFN in the UK, this matching numbers 1971 911T remained in largely original specification but for a restoration in the late 90s, sold to specialist Dave Dennett of DSD Motorwerks in 2010 for conversion into a period specification ST. During the build, any modifications he made were period correct, his aim being to acquire FIA competition papers when completed. This included the steel arches being replicated from period photographs, hand beaten to accommodate 7” x 15” front and 9” x 15” rear wheels, and a lightweight interior being fitted. The original matching numbers engine was retained, however currently fitted, is another engine built from a genuine un- numbered 7R magnesium case. This engine was fully built around these cases to short stroke ST specification. This included the following: Cases shuffle pinned and gas flowed, 2.2 crank 66mm, Porsche S nitride rods, JE pistons, Mahle barrels, twin plug heads with new guides 3 angle valve seat and enlarged ports, titanium valve springs, new race valves, ST twin plug distributor, S specification cams, uprated and rebuilt MFI pump, uprated oil pump, 1”5/8 race headers and lightweight aluminium flywheel. The brakes were upgraded with aluminium RS spec callipers and vented discs all round and period Koni adjustable dampers and uprated roll bars were fitted in addition to the rebuilt suspension. A lightweight clutch was fitted and a Tuthill adjustable pedal box. Wheels are 7×15” refurbished Fuchs on the front and 9”x15” Minilites were fitted on the rear. Also fitted were upgraded Bosch twin fuel pumps, plumbed in fire suppression system and Schroth 5 point harnesses.As is often the case with these projects, it was sold before being totally finished to our vendor in 2019, who has now continued the journey of personalisation to the tune of an additional £150,000, a car than now ‘owes him’ £275,000 and as he states to create this car would be in excess of £350,000 and involve a 2-4 year wait given the names involved in the build.Offered with a history file detailing the build with photographs and documents in a box file full of provenance of the car now and back to the 80’s. The matching numbers 2.2 engine is stored and this and the fibreglass bumper for FIA papers comes with the car, the new owner will need to collect or delivery can be arranged at their cost.The modified Porsche scene is dominated by Singer with its reimagined ST built on a later 964, Tuthill with their interpretation the 911K, in an area that ever popular, enhancing original cars to a period upgraded specification this example sits neatly offering a buyer the opportunity to rub shoulders with the bespoke ‘resto mods’ like Singer. If you are looking for a genuine period car with period `Sports Purposes` upgrades, together with a nicer interior than a stripped-out racer, then this car certainly has a good deal more kudos than a backdated example. If you want to take things a bit more seriously remove the niceties, put the fibreglass panels back on, install a pair of current FIA seats and this car will be ready for the Tour Auto or Modena Cento Ore without the three to four year wait for the build of a car and the expense of over £300k to build the car today. AMG, which is now the official performance division of Mercedes-Benz, has a long history of producing high-performance derivatives of Mercedes' standard production vehicles. With the introduction of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG in 2010, the Affalterbach-based firm took a significant step forward. First seen at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and acknowledged as a tribute to the legendary 300 SL 'Gullwing' coupé of the 1950s – arguably the world's first supercar – the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG was notable as the first car to be designed in-house by AMG. A collectors' item from the day it was announced, the newcomer featured 'Gullwing' doors like its illustrious predecessor and succeeded the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren at the top of the German manufacturer's range. Styled by Mercedes-Benz's Mark Fetherston, the SLS AMG received numerous prestigious design awards, and is the only automobile ever to have won the (gold) Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany. Boasting a chassis/body of mainly aluminium construction, the SLS (Sport Licht Super) was powered by a 6.2 litre V8 engine producing 563bhp initially - the most powerful normally aspirated production car engine of its day - while the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission was similarly state-of-the-art. A rear wing, extendable at high speeds, kept the SLS stable at its near-200mph maximum, while its low weight (3,573lbs) helped the car lap the Mercedes-Benz test track quicker than its SLR McLaren predecessor. Not surprisingly, given its pedigree, the SLS AMG proved very popular with racing drivers, Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton among them, while the list of celebrity owners includes Eddie Murphy, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Al Pacino, Roger Federer, Sylvester Stallone and Tom Hanks. Several limited edition versions were introduced, including a GT3 racer, leading up to the SLS AMG GT Final Edition of 2014. Mercedes-AMG CEO Tobias Moers has said that there are no plans for a successor, so for the time being the SLS AMG remains the ultimate expression of the noble 'Gullwing' tradition. This stunning example presented in Fire Opal Red with Black Designo Exclusive Diamond pattern leather and carbon fibre bonnet as per every SLS Final Edition has covered a mere 4,500 miles from new. Originally registered 19th June 2014, this example was owned for several years by the first owner before being sold by Romans International to its second owner who kept it for a year before Romans were again commissioned to sell it to our vendor in 2023. Limited to only 350 models worldwide, this is the last ever version of the iconic Gullwing Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. The Final Edition is based on the SLS AMG GT, the later version which has a 20bhp power boost over the standard SLS and features a remapped double clutch seven-speed gearbox with upgraded suspension improving the car's performance and handling considerably. Final Editions such as this have some unique touches to make them it that extra bit special including a carbon fibre bonnet with a central air outlet, carbon fibre splitter on the front apron, a fixed carbon fibre rear wing from the SLS Black Series plus a set of forged light alloys and finally a diamond patterned exclusive leather interior. Of the 350 SLS Final Editions made worldwide which is a combination of both coupés and roadsters, it is believed only six were UK supplied Gullwing coupés with this example being one them and one of the rarest cars you'll ever find on the UK market.We believe the SLS to be a modern day classic which will be one of the most remembered and desirable Mercedes in years to come, a great investment opportunity as proven by the 300 SL Gullwing that the SLS was based on. Last serviced at 4,400 miles in December of 2023, this car boasts a main dealer service history and the car has also recently been treated to PPF on the front and carbon interior. With one of the last 6.2 litre naturally-aspirated V8 engines Mercedes will ever make it is of no surprise that we are seeing many collectors buying up the best examples, with the AMG Black SLS now fetching in excess of £700,000 and SLR’s values increasing year on year. Keeping an eye on its future value is certainly worthwhile but meanwhile own one of the design icons of the modern era harking back to the design icon of the 50’s.. The Chevrolet Task Force was Chevrolet's successor to the Advance Design series. The Task Force series ran from late 1955 (second series) through 1959. At GMC dealers, it was called the Blue Chip series. The 1955 second series offered standard options and add-ons such as 12-volt electrical systems, Chevrolet’s first V8 engine since 1915 (265 cubic inches), and Fleetside beds in 1958. Commercial trucks and various other heavy-duty models were available.This stunning customised ‘flatbed’ truck has undergone a detailed and expensive £50,000 restoration by the renown specialists, Adam Redding Classic Cars in South Buckinghamshire in 2018 (photos of restoration can be seen in the history file). The body was taken right back to bare metal and resprayed and looks fabulous. The interior is new, as are the dashboard and door cards. It is based on a RV chassis and is powered by a big block Ford 460, 7.3 litre V8, mated to an automatic gearbox with Hurst shifter, which sounds fantastic via its mighty looking twin chrome exhausts which tower above the truck behind the cab. This versatile semi-commercial truck can be driven on a standard driving license and is fitted with an electric winch which could be used to haul up your classic vehicle to take to shows or to be utilised for commercial use, depending on reason to purchase. This vehicle is tax and MoT exempt, looks stunning, sounds stunning and has great performance to match its looks. Consigned by Dominic Lake

The Ford Mustang was the brainchild of Lee Iacocca and was branded as the first 'Pony Car', it was born out of a need to compete with the flood of European sports cars coming into the USA in the sixties. The first production Mustang rolled off the assembly line in Dearborn, Michigan on March 9th 1964 and was introduced to the public at the New York World's Fair on April 17th 1964. The Mustang was only available as a hardtop coupé and convertible until September 1964, it was the fastback that drew the interest of Carroll Shelby which extended the iconic reach of the Ford Mustang and firmly put it into the category of motoring legends. The Mustang sold over one million units in its first 18 months on the market and became a popular car to customise, from engine upgrades to racing stripes, no two Mustangs are often found the same. Ford kept the Mustang relatively cheap with a list price of $2,368, making the car extremely popular.This example has been restored in the style of a Shelby GT350, believed to be less than 1000 miles ago, but likely around 10 years ago. It is understood the specification of the engine was a rebuilt 302cui, bored .30 over and fitted with GT40 heads and mild camshafts. The interior was also refinished at the time, along with virtually everything else… The bodywork does now need some attention, photos are available of the car when it was imported into the UK by our vendor in 2016, it looked absolutely superb at the time and was clearly a fresh restoration, but after seven years in storage, it would benefit from some tidying up. The same can be said for the engine, some surface corrosion has appeared on the surfaces and some detailing and recommissioning would bring it up in excellent order again.This Mustang will make a very worthy project, most of the heavy lifting has already been carried out previously and with a refresh, it will be an excellent example once again. The fastback Mustangs are for many, the ones to have, and this example looks to be very good value indeed. Consigned by Fraser Smith

Mercedes-Benz first introduced an SL model in 1954 following an original idea by American importer Max Hoffman who foresaw a market for a car tailored to affluent Americans in the booming post war United States. It has remained in production, in various guises and model years in the seven decades since then making the SL the second longest single series ever produced by the German manufacturer.This stylish looking Mercedes started life as a 380SL in 1983 when it was purchased from Mayfair Mercedes on Park Lane. The car was used as a daily driver by its first owner for the next fifteen years. Around the year 2011 it was decided to treat this convertible to a bare metal restoration. During this process a 5.0 litre engine was fitted. Only 60,000 mils have been covered with this engine.The car benefits from the rear seat option, a factory hardtop and featured in a 2012 edition of Mercedes Enthusiast Magazine. Our vendor is only the third owner of this luxurious convertible and tells us that it is a joy to drive. These fabulous and popular little cars were designed in 1959 and were heralded as a new concept in car design. Little did they know or envisage what would become of these great models. With a monocoque shell, transversely mounted engine and front wheel drive, the new 'Mini' soon became popular across the world and to all types of individuals, well healed or not! The potential for competition use was soon seen by John Cooper; he eventually persuaded BMC and the two worked together culminating in the birth of the Austin Mini Cooper and the Morris Mini Cooper in 1961. Victories in the 1964, 1965 and 1967 Monte-Carlo Rallies set the Mini on the road to fame but probably the greatest publicity was gained from their somewhat unfair, disqualification for lighting irregularities in the 1966 event after coming in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. A more powerful Mini Cooper, dubbed the 'S', was developed in tandem and released in 1963.First registered on 26th August 1964, this fantastic FIA rally specification Cooper S has been cherished by the vendor for the past twenty-three years. Wanting for nothing, this car has enjoyed three major refreshes during his ownership with respected preparers Richard Higgs, NVJ Developments and most recently this year with ATA Classics. Whilst it has been built into an FIA specification rally car, due to work commitments, the car has hardly seen any competition. A Longman cylinder head, rally camshaft, competition pistons, uprated gearbox and differential all make this car a potent and quick example. Safety features include; foam filled fuel tanks, fire extinguisher and six-point roll cage. The vendor reports the car to run and drive extremely well and is only selling due to continuing work commitments meaning he’ll unlikely have any time to compete with it anytime soon.Supplied with a V5C registration document, FIA papers and lots of invoices. The Speed Six variant of the TVR Tuscan, which debuted in 1999, was powered by a naturally aspirated four litre straight-six engine, which gave the car its name. This engine was developed in-house by TVR and was renowned for its power and distinctive sound. Producing around 360bhp, the Speed Six engine enabled the Tuscan to deliver blistering performance, with a 0-60 mph time of just over four seconds and a top speed exceeding 180 mph. One of the most distinctive features of the Tuscan Speed Six was its bold and aggressive styling. With its low-slung profile, muscular curves, and distinctive headlight design, the Tuscan stood out from the crowd and captured the imagination of automotive enthusiasts.This example looks superb in its oh-so TVR colour, a light Alpine green with a darker Lagoon interior and is said to be an absolute joy to drive, truly one of the last real analogue sportscars. The car has always been particularly well maintained, with many invoices for servicing throughout the years. There is a note on an earlier invoice to say the engine was rebuilt at 9,500 miles, but there is no documentation to support this. In more recent years, the car was given a new clutch in 2017, only around 5,000 miles ago, along with many new bushes and seals at the same time. In August 2021, the car went to Python Racing Ltd, who balanced the throttle bodies. The car is now being sold mainly due to lack of use, the vendor feels now is the right time for the next owner to fully enjoy the car as intended. Designed by Giovanni Micheloti, famed for the creation of many Italian exotics such as Ferrari and Maserati. The styling of the car was met with great reviews. Triumph decided to revisit the GT4 idea and in replacing the under-powered Spitfire 4 engine with the more powerful Triumph Vitesse two-litre, six-cylinder engine, the GT6 was born and production of the Mk. I GT6 commenced in July 1966. During the course of the next four years the GT6 received a number of styling changes and mechanical developments, dramatically improving the handling and in October 1970 the GT6 Mk. III was introduced with a total of 13,042 units being built before the end of production in December 1973.This delightful Mk. III example is possibly the finest we have seen. Originally registered in March 1972 this GT6 was purchased by the previous owner in 1977 and used as his daily driver until 1984 when it started to require attention. The car was placed in his garage and stayed there for the next 37 years!! Upon his retirement it was decided to bring the car back to its former glory. This fantastic Triumph has benefitted from a no expense spared, nut and bolt restoration that cost an astounding £56,000. This GT6 now presents better than new in gleaming red coachwork with a contrasting black interior. An extremely high standard has been maintained throughout the works undertaken by restoration expert Justin Simmons of Maidenhead. Works which included an engine rebuild, a refurbished gearbox and new clutch, a complete new brake system, an all new exhaust system and an overhaul of the suspension system. The chassis received a complete refurbishment including powder coating. All of the chromework was either replaced or re-chromed, the wheels were refurbished, and all the rubber seals replaced. The works were completed over a 3 year period and the owner completed 1000 miles before an unexpected illness and unfortunately passing away in 2021. The 996 model is a superb car; quick, reliable, well-made and represented the birth of the water-cooled 911. With a wide range of models on offer, the most iconic is, of course, the Turbo. Featuring four-wheel drive and a 3.6 litre, intercooled engine derived from the 1998 Le Mans winning GT-1 car pushing out 420bhp and hitting 60mph in a whisker over four seconds, this is genuine supercar territory. The 996 was seen as a more relaxed and usable 911; however, in Turbo guise, the driver would get the best of both worlds; a luxury leather interior with every creature comfort combined with the ability to drop the hammer and reach a top speed of a claimed 190mph. In 2002, the X50 package was offered as an option on the Turbo that included larger K24 turbochargers and intercoolers, a revised ECU and quad-pipe exhaust which raised power output to 450bhp, however in 2005, Porsche introduced the Turbo S model available as either a coupé or cabriolet. The Turbo S was essentially a 996 turbo with the X50 option but also included PCCB, 6-disc CD changer and aluminium-faced instruments. Originally registered on 25th July 2005 this one owner Porsche Turbo S presents in beautiful condition. The Morris Minor was a British economy car that debuted at the Earls Court Motor Show on 20th September 1948. Designed under the leadership of Alec Issigonis, over 1.3 million examples were manufactured from 1948-1971. Initially available as a two-door saloon and convertible, the range was subsequently expanded to include a four-door saloon in 1950 and wood-framed estate, The Traveller, plus the panel van and pick-up truck variants in 1952. The Minor was manufactured in three series; Series I, Series II (1952) and finally the 1000 series such as the car offered today. These 1000 series cars benefitted from an engine which was increased in capacity to 948cc and are differentiated from earlier examples of the marque by their curved one-piece windscreen replacing the two-piece split windscreen and an enlarged rear window. Other modifications specific to this car is a new dashboard layout including a lidded glove box on both the driver and passenger side of the dashboard.Originally registered on 9th August 1960 this delightful Morris Minor has been owned by the vendor since February 2018. The Triumph Spitfire 4, retrospectively known as the Triumph Spitfire 4 Mk. With a top speed of 283kph, this Ferrari was truly one of the fastest sportscars on the market during the 1980s and combined with such advanced technology as air conditioning and central locking as standard, the overall package had it all. Launched during the 1981's Paris Salon, Ferrari's 512i Berlinetta Boxer most notably marked the arrival of fuel injection on Ferrari's flat-12 engine replacing the familiar Weber carburettor setup. Fuel injection not only improved an engine's flexibility but made it much easier to maintain as well as prolonging the lifetime of the engine and remained in production for almost three years. With just 48 righthand drive examples ever built, this made it the rarest variation of all rhd Boxers. This is a particularly special car as it was used as the demonstrator for Maranello Concessionaires and indeed one of the very last 10 UK Boxers as the Testarossa was introduced later that year.It was delivered in May 1984 to the dealer in Egham in classic Rosso Corsa with contrasting tan leather seats with Daytona pattern inserts. It was then sold and exported to Jersey where the car was used sparingly before being re-imported in 1998 by previous concours winner Michael Clarke having covered just 8,800 miles. The engine bay area was then detailed and minor paint rectification was carried out. In 1999, with 10,227 miles recorded, the car was transported to the workshops of multi-course winner Nigel Chilton Hunt and Neil Cornes of CCH where it underwent initial an inspection to decide what was required to make this a concourse winning car. It was initially sent to the paint shop where minor paint rectification took place. The bodywork was initially machined polished followed by a hard wax polish applied by hand.It was then returned to the workshops and lifted for the suspension and brakes to be removed, everything was bead-blasted to ASI Grade 2, cleaned, inspected and refinished. The engine & gearbox assembly was then removed where it was cleaned and all ancillary components were removed and inspected the cost of which totalled in excess of £30,000. The cylinder heads were re-torqued and the valve clearances reset with new camshaft and ancillary drive belts installed. The engine was refinished in a low machine heat resistant paint and the rear engine frame cleaned and re-finished in satin black. The wheel spinners were re-chromed and the shock-absorbers were overhauled with an invoice at the end of May for just over £9,000. The radiator was then removed for cleaning and refinished in black with cooling fans removed cleaned and refitted.New front wheel bearings, new tires and newly refinished wheels were all installed with new brake hoses, re-built brake calipers and re-finished fuel tanks in silver with oil tanks in semi-matte black.The road springs and anti-roll we refinished in the correct black paint and all finally refitted and adjustments made totalling £14,200. Final finishing detailing and refitting completed eventually in July 1999 adding a further £5,300 whereupon it was dually entered into the Ferrari Owners Club Concourse d’Elegance where, unsurprisingly, it won first in class and featured in the Autumn 1999 addition of the FOC magazine. Subsequent works have been carried out by Nigel Hudson formally of Emblem Sports Cars/Nigel Mansell Sportscars of Westovers in Dorset. At the time, this was thought to be one of the finest examples of the 42 512BBi’s imported to the UK.The current owner purchased the car in 2006 with 16,500 miles covered and it remains in exceptional and original condition having driven just 16,706 miles from new and finished in its original paint and trim. Believed to have had only three private owners from new. The car was supplied with a comprehensive cam belt service (2013) by Ferrari specialist’s specialists DK Engineering and a more recent service at Bell Classics in St. Albans in 2018 to the tune of just over £2,500. Supplied with a fresh 12-month MoT tests as well as a new cambelt service, an important factor when dealing with 12-cylinder cars, it also benefits from its original Ferrari owners books, wallet and history folder. With very few miles driven in recent years, this near-faultless Boxer represents not only handsome investment potential but also one of the most stunning designs to leave the gates at Maranello. The Ford Mustang 351 Cobra Jet holds a special place in the 60 year history of the Ford Mustang. Introduced in 1969 as a high-performance option, with its sleek design and formidable power, the Mustang 351 Cobra Jet quickly gained a reputation as a street racer's dream. Underneath the bonnet laid a potent 351cui Cleveland V8 engine, tuned to deliver an impressive output of over 300bhp. This robust powertrain, combined with other performance enhancements such as upgraded suspension and Ram-Air, made the 351 Cobra Jet a force to be reckoned with on both the drag strip and the open road.The car we have here is an extremely well specified Q-code example fitted with the top of the range four valve Cleveland V8 and optional ‘Ram Air Cobra jet’, a rare option which forces cold air into the engine at high revs and increases the power produced. It is also a rare factory fitted Hurst four-speed manual car with optional 3.50 Traction-Lok differential. Other optional equipment includes power steering, power front disc brakes, Mach 1 sports interior, triple sports dial console, foldable sports deck rear seats and Magnum 500 chrome wheels. A Marti report accompanies the car, confirming the original specification as Bright Red with black vinyl bucket seats, four-speed manual, as we see it today.The car was imported into the UK in 2011 by a Mr Wessell, at which point the mileage was around 34,000, which is understood to have been the genuine mileage. Many upgrades were fitted during Mr Wessells ownership including a Centreforce clutch, KYB sports adjustable shocks, performance rear leaf springs, uprated rear sway bar, MSD electronic ignition, K&N air filter and many other small upgrades. The car was then sold to a Mustang enthusiast in 2013 who would go on to keep the car until 2020. During this tenure, a further £11,932 was spent further upgrading the car, an FST 750 carburettor was fitted, the engine was removed and inspected by Williams Bros Racing who confirmed the engine had previously been rebuilt with an upgraded camshaft, Harland Sharp rockers, new lifters and pushrods. A stainless steel exhaust was fabricated with Sanderson shorty headers, 2.5” straight pipes through to 24” Cherry Bomb back boxes, which provides an absolutely incredible soundtrack. A new heater core was also fitted, a gearbox refresh was undertaken, new rear Koni shocks, a reversing camera fitted and many other smaller jobs. The car was then fully detailed and ceramic coated and now looks excellent.The car now presents in excellent order, there are a handful of paint chips here and there and a small piece of corrosion on the right side outer sill, just in front of the rear wheel area, but overall the car is truly an excellent example and ticks many boxes.The car is supplied to auction with a comprehensive history file containing the original owners manual and a copy of the original purchase invoice, a RetroFord magazine feature on the car and a V5C registration document. Successor to the R-Type, the Bentley S1 was introduced in 1955 with a whole new chassis; the car's wheelbase had been extended 3" to 123", and the luggage compartment was expanded. The S1 had softer suspension than the R-Type, with electrically controlled rear shock absorbers. Brakes had been improved, and the steering was lighter. This model marked the final integration of Bentley with Rolls-Royce - the standard saloons were now entirely alike, but for grilles and badging. The engine was Rolls' 4887cc F-head six, in its final configuration before the introduction of V8 power in 1959. Manual gearboxes were supplied only to special order. The British Magazine, the Motor reported a top speed of 103 mph and 0-60 acceleration of 13.1 seconds from a short-wheelbase S1 in 1957.This S1 Bentley has previously been restored with huge amounts of money spent. It left the factory in May 1956 and was sold to its first owner via the Bristol Motor Company, to a Lt Col Stewart Pitman on 14th June 1956. It has been the subject of a bare metal repaint in its original and very attractive Velvet Green which looks superb, and the interior has been lavished with superb new Beige leather upholstery with matching piping, new Thorn Herd cloth headlining and carpets. Its walnut woodwork, all having been beautifully restored, looks very well as does all of the brightwork, every piece of which has been re-chromed much as one would expect for a restoration project. There is a photographic history of its body off restoration showing every step of the work carried out. Since the restoration the Bentley has been dry stored in a bespoke storage facility and used sparingly ever since. As such, any prospective buyer should factor in some general recommissioning before use. We believe the Bentley S1 is one of the best-looking models produced by the British motor company, having only had six owners from new and being a matching numbers example, this Bentley is an opportunity not to be missed. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage was first introduced in 2005 as a successor to the DB7. It features a sleek and aerodynamic design, with a powerful V8 engine and a six-speed manual transmission. Under the bonnet, the Vantage is powered by a 4.3-litre V8 engine that produces 380bhp and 302 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of around 175mph. The exterior of the Vantage is characterised by its low, wide stance and classic Aston Martin design elements, including the signature front grille and distinctively shaped headlights.This particular example was purchased new by our vendor in 2007 and was very tastefully specified in California Sage with an attractive dark green leather interior. The car has been used sparingly, having covered only 13,500 miles in the last 17 years. The car has always been particularly well maintained, with 12 main dealer service stamps and a further two from Bamford Rose, an independent Aston Martin specialist. Given the particularly low mileage and single enthusiast ownership from new, the overall condition of the car is understandably particularly impressive. Supplied to the auction with a large history file, MoT test certificate valid until April 2025, a V5C registration document and including the cherished registration number, this Aston Martin is one for the collector or discerning enthusiast who wants something a little different to the regular grey or black cars we so often see. The first Porsche 911 was introduced in 1963 as the replacement for the much-loved Porsche 356. It has a distinctive design; rear-engined and with independent rear suspension, an evolution of the swing axle on the Porsche 356. The engine was also air-cooled until the introduction of the Type 996 in 1998. Since its introduction in 1963, it has undergone continual development, although the basic concept has remained little changed. In 1973, the Carrera name was re-introduced from the 356 Carrera which had itself been named after Porsche's class victories in the Carrera Panamericana races in Mexico in the 1950’s. The most notable advances in 1984 were the introduction of the 3.2-litre engine. Although it remained an air-cooled 'flat-six', the '3.2' was 80% new and incorporated an effective cam chain tensioner and associated lubrication system that at last addressed a perennial 911 shortcoming. With 231bhp on tap, the new 'boxer' motor endowed the Carrera with a level of performance approaching that of the original 911 Turbo of 1974, the bald statistics being a 0-60mph time of 5.3 seconds and a top speed of 152mph.This example was registered in the UK in 1987 although it was manufactured in 1984 as confirmed by the Certificate of Authenticity. A full body restoration has been carried out, with photographic evidence. We are advised this 911 drives well with no known faults, the 3.2 litre engine reported to running well. The blue coachwork is in good order with some minor age-related marks. For a decade from 1958, the Caravelle was made for the English-speaking market by Renault. In France, the model was named the Floride and the idea was conceived really as a competitor to the successful Volkswagen models of the era. The engine was to the rear and in 1964, power was upgraded to 1108cc with a top speed of 89mph, and the Caravelle became a contemporary to the Triumph Spitfire. The Renault is now of course the rarer of the two sports cars, possibly due to the occurrence of the dreaded tin worm, but the retro Gallic styling is as attractive now as it was in the Sixties.This wonderful example is presented in blue coachwork with a brown interior and was registered new to the UK on 2nd May 1968. Previously restored, the Caravelle has also been treated to a recent refresh to the tune of circa £20,000! Reported to be in very good order throughout this Caravelle drives as it should and is also fitted with disc brakes all round. The Bentley Mulsanne is named after the Mulsanne Straight of the Le Mans racing circuit, Bentley cars having won six victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the past. Bentley brought back the Mulsanne nameplate that was last used in 1992; this model replaces the hugely successful Arnage and was unveiled at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August 2009. In keeping with the Arnage, the Mulsanne retained the 6750cc, V8 power unit, the engine was lighter and featured cylinder de-activation and variable cam phasing to improve fuel efficiency. It was the first flagship car to be independently designed by Bentley Motors in nearly 80 years; the last being W.O. Bentley's 8 litre model in 1930. Originally registered on 30th September 2011 this Bentley is finished in the desirable colour combination of Dark Sapphire blue over a linen leather interior. A very well-appointed car, this example is offered directly from a private collection and comes with a sizeable history file including a comprehensive service record from main dealer and Bentley specialists detailing 12 services in total, the last of which was undertaken by Herne Motors Bentley specialist in April 2023. The BMW M635CSi was the brainchild of BMW’s Motorsport department and arrived to the market in 1984. Karmann manufactured the early 6 Series BMWs from launch in 1976 before BMW took production in-house. The engine was a development of the M1 supercar's 3453cc, 24 valve, six-cylinder unit producing 286bhp, the increased power necessitating chassis improvements which included altered weight distribution, revised suspension, larger brakes and a limited slip differential. There was also a close ratio five-speed gearbox and a more luxurious interior, while outwardly this ultimate 6 Series model was readily distinguishable by virtue of its 'M Technic' body kit. Performance was impressive with the M635CSi capable of reaching 0-62mph in around six seconds on its way to a top speed in excess of 155mph. Originally registered on 23rd August 1985 this BMW presents beautifully with gleaming red coachwork and black leather interior. Forming part of a private collection this example has been garaged and dry stored in recent times. We are advised by the knowledgeable and fastidious vendor that this M635 drives with no known faults. The six-cylinder engine runs well and has power that can only be described as adequate by any standards, road holding is also impressive. Established as a buggy company before the Civil War, Studebaker entered the automotive business in 1904, building bodies for chassis supplied by Garford of Elyria, Ohio. By 1913, the company was building its own cars, beginning a tradition of well-built automobiles from South Bend, Indiana, that would continue for the next 51 years. By the time Studebaker moved to Canada in 1964, it was the country’s oldest automobile manufacturer and among the longest surviving car manufacturers in the world. The Light Six was in production for seven years, with modern bodywork and styling making this a highly desirable vehicle to own. More than 200,000 were manufactured by Studebaker.This interesting Studebaker was stripped down to the bare chassis by a father and son. It was then fully rebuilt to a very good standard using either new or remanufactured parts. At the same time, a Morris Minor 1000 A-series engine was fitted together with an alternator. This modification means this Studebaker is very reliable and fun to drive. She has been wrapped in blue as the car was required for some film work; underneath the wrapping the colour is white. The blue wrap can easily be removed and the car could be a great addition to a wedding car company, particularly in view of the engine modification. Designed by Alex Issigonis in 1959, a new concept in car design was born. With a monocoque shell, transversely mounted engine and front wheel drive, the new 'Mini', as it was commonly known, soon became popular across a broad spectrum of the population. The potential for competition use was soon seen by John Cooper and although Alex Issigonis was less keen, BMC were finally persuaded by John Cooper and the two worked together in culminating the birth of the Austin Mini Cooper and the Morris Mini Cooper in 1961. Victories in the 1964, 1965 and 1967 Monte Carlo Rallies set the Mini on the road to fame but probably the greatest publicity was gained from their (somewhat unfair) disqualification for lighting irregularities in the 1966 event after coming in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. A more powerful Mini Cooper, dubbed the 'S', was developed in tandem and released in 1963. Featuring a 1071cc engine and larger servo-assisted disc brakes, 4,030 Cooper S cars were produced and sold until the model was updated in August 1964. Cooper also produced two S models specifically for circuit racing in the under 1,000 cc and under 1,300 cc classes respectively, rated at 970cc and a 1,275cc. The smaller-engine model was not well received, and only 963 had been built when the model was discontinued in 1965. The 1,275 cc Cooper S models continued in production until 1971.Delivered new to sunny Florida in 1966 this beautiful Island Blue with Old English white roof Mk. I 1275cc Mini Cooper S was repatriated into the United Kingdom in 2017 having also spent time in Japan. On its arrival the car was then subject to a no expense spared nut and bolt rebuild over a two year period at which time it was converted to right hand drive of which much is catalogued. The end result speaks for itself presented with a huge file of expenditure to back up the no nonsense approach to the restoration. Characteristically, the car features concealed headlamps, designed in conjunction with Carello, mounted beneath a clamshell bonnet with illumination port-holes. The Mercedes-Benz 190SL is a two-door grand touring convertible with a removable hardtop that was produced between May 1955 and February 1963 with a prototype first shown at the 1954 New York Motorshow. It was sold alongside the faster, more expensive Mercedes-Benz 300SL which it closely resembled both in its styling, engineering, detailing and fully independent suspension. However, the 190SL did not use the 300SL's purpose-built tubular spaceframe W198 platform but was built on a shortened monocoque R121 unit. The 190SL was powered by a new 1.9 litre straight-four SOHC engine that developed 104bhp and was later also used in the W120, 180 and W121, 190 models. The four-cylinder engine block of the 190SL was based on the six- cylinder engine of the 300SL.This left hand drive Mercedes-Benz was imported into the UK from the US in 2021 with registration at the DVLA on October of the same year. The Jaguar Mk. II perhaps needs very little introduction, especially to the Jaguar enthusiast or follower. Introduced in 1959 in 2.4 litre form, the Mk. II Saloon was somewhat underpowered and soon gained the larger 3.4 litre unit. As if this was not enough, the engine further gained capacity with growth to 3.8 litres that produced a healthy 220bhp. These 3.8 litre models are now the most sought after of the range and especially when they are fitted with the manual overdrive gearbox option.Presented in Opalescent Silver and beautiful contrasting red leather interior, this 3.8 litre Jaguar started life in March 1968 as a 3.4 litre, 340 saloon with the benefit of the manual overdrive gearbox. It was first registered in Ireland before being repatriated and registered in the UK in September 1974. In 1987, it underwent an extensive rebuild by specialists in Germany and since then has had little use, with only 10,000 miles being covered since that restoration. At some time, prior to 2002, it gained a 3.8 litre engine and the larger Mk. II bumpers. Since 2015, it has also benefitted from a rebuilt cylinder head, new oil filter spin off, new clutch and slave cylinder, new water pump, fan and a rebuilt radiator.Favoured by racing drivers of the day and getaway drivers alike, the Jaguar Mk. Together with the 300 SL, the Mercedes-Benz 190 SL made history at the New York International Motor Sports Show in February 1954 by being the first new production Mercedes-Benz to be unveiled outside of Germany. The striking impression given by the 190 SL, sitting alongside the bigger 300 SL, was neat, sporty and with dashing lines - signatures of Mercedes-Benz designers Karl Wilfret and Walter Hacket. And between May 1955 and February 1963, 25,881 of these cars were produced, a huge success for Mercedes-Benz. Its engine boasted four inline cylinders with a chain driven overhead camshaft and two carburettors delivering a respectable 108bhp for that era, and still providing an exhilarating drive today. The body was a monocoque design, welded to the shortened chassis of the type 180 saloon. A racing version with aluminium doors and a small windscreen was never officially produced although, these parts could be ordered from the factory for weekend racing.This charming left hand drive 190 SL was built in the fourth year of production in 1957 and registered new in 1958. It was more recently imported and first registered in the UK on 12th January 2016 and is finished in cream with a contrasting red interior and black soft top. The coachwork is in good condition showing light patina, as too, the interior and engine bay. Recent maintenance work has been completed by PKF Engineering, in Salisbury with maintenance invoices shown in the history file. Volkswagen's decision not to proceed with their designed-by-Porsche 914 replacement led to the latter taking on the project themselves. Launched in November 1975, the resulting 924 drew heavily on Volkswagen/Audi components: the 2-litre, four-cylinder, overhead-camshaft engine being a development of the Audi 100's, and the four-speed transaxle a VW unit. A five-speed Porsche-designed gearbox and improvements to the suspension were early developments, and in 1978 came the first truly high-performance 924 - the Turbo. The latter's extra 45bhp raised top speed to around 150mph, and this figure would be further improved upon by the 924 Carrera GT. A road model with competition potential, the luxuriously equipped Carrera GT was launched at the 1979 Frankfurt Show. Easily distinguishable from lesser 924s by virtue of its bonnet air intake and widened wheelarches, the Carrera GT was built in limited numbers - only 406 were made - 400 cars being the minimum requirement to gain homologation for rallying and Group 4 events. The standard version came with 210bhp but this could be boosted to well over 300bhp for racing. Three cars were entered by the works in the 1980 Le Mans 24-Hour Race, finishing 6th, 12th and 13th.This excellent Porsche 924 S2 Turbo was delivered to it’s first owner in February 1982. This rare right hand drive is from the final batch of 943 cars produced for the 1982 model year. Having led a relatively sheltered life, and being completely rust free it was chosen by a Porsche fanatic and collector to create a near perfect copy of the Carrera GT. The look is courtesy of Pro-9 light weight front wings, front apron, and rear wheel arches. The front wings have the correct 928 repeaters installed, the rear wheel arches are correctly tubbed and sculptured to fit and a functional Carrera GT air scoop was let into the bonnet. The Spax suspension is adjustable, properly set up and corner weighted. The 7” front and 8” rear x 15” Fuchs style wheels are by Design 911 and shod with Toyo Protex tyres. Inside the car it has the correct Carrera GT Recaro seats and the interior has all been re-trimmed in the correct, unique Carrera GT upholstery. A retro-style Blaupunkt radio with Bluetooth is fitted. Under the bonnet lies the very rare and bespoke Langerer & Reich intercooler, fed by the GT bonnet scoop. Subtly, the digital ignition, and timing control has been replaced with ECU Master engine management system by Northampton Motorsport. This includes 21st century sensors, ignition system and boost control which brings better reliability, better economy and easy driveability. After been on their rolling road, Northampton Motorsport have created a car with a second map that outperforms the original Carrera GT, a flick of a hidden switch takes you from 180bhp/200Ib-ft to 211bhp/242Ib-ft torque. Finished in Guards Red this lovely 924 Turbo is registered as a Historic Vehicle and comes with an extensive documented history.Consigned by John Tomlin NEAR PERFECT COPY OF THE CARRERA GT FITTED WITH THE RARE LANGERER & REICH INTERCOOLERMODERN RACING CAR IGNITIONJ AND MAPPING SYSTEM WITH TWO SETTINGSBETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL AT HALF THE PRICE

The Land Rover was launched in 1948 and, incredibly, production only finished in January 2016 after a continuous run of 67 years. Outwardly, there is little to distinguish the post-1983 vehicles from the Series III Land Rover. A full-length bonnet, revised grille, plus the fitting of wheel arch extensions to cover wider-track axles are the most noticeable changes. Internally, coil springs offered a more comfortable ride and a permanent four-wheel drive system derived from the Range Rover featuring a two-speed transfer gearbox with a lockable centre differential. A modernised interior and a new series of progressively more powerful and modern engine characterised things under the skin.Our vendor purchased this Defender brand new from Urban Truck in 2013, also known as Nurburg Ltd. The intention was to keep the Defender forever, but it isn’t getting used as much these days and he has decided to now replace it with something else. The engine was fully replaced with a brand new unit less than 1000 miles ago after turbo failure caused the engine to fail and the replacement was covered under warranty. The suspension was upgraded to a Bilstein system, which can be adjusted by a phone app to change the firmness of the ride and the result is a Defender which truly handles. The firm setting eliminates much of the body roll and the softer settings allow for excellent ride quality. An underside sump protector has been fitted and larger wheels which look very attractive. In keeping with modern times, USB ports have been fitted in the front and rear to allow for phone charging too. The Defender is supplied to auction with its comprehensive service history, V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until March 2025. Consigned by Fraser Smith

The XJ series of motorcars were the mainstay of Jaguar cars since 1968 and, in fact, was the last motorcar to have any input by Sir William Lyons, its founder. After the series I and II, a relatively short run of two-door XJ coupés with a pillarless hardtop body called the XJ-C were built between 1975 and 1978. The car was actually launched at the London Motor Show in October 1973, but it subsequently became clear that it was not ready for production, the economic troubles unfolding in the western world at this time seem to further reduced any sense of urgency about producing and selling the cars. They finally started to emerge from Jaguar showrooms only some two years later. These were priced higher than the four-door car so were immediately relatively exclusive.The profile of this pillarless coupe is both attractive and elegant. Presented in good order throughout the body is straight and the door shuts are good. The British Racing Green paintwork is generally in good order and the black trim shows little signs of wear. This Jaguar Coupe is fitted with a 5 speed Getrag manual gearbox. The gearbox and the V12 engine are well mated and on a recent test drive the car fired up on request and performed exhilaratingly well. During his tenure this enthusiast owned example has benefited from dry storage. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and a file containing various bills and receipts this stunning Jaguar is ready for a new custodian. Consigned by Dominic Lake.

Introduced to the UK in November 1958, Volvo's highly successful 120-series 'Amazon' was built around a steel-fabricated monocoque. Equipped with independent coil and wishbone front suspension and a Panhard rod located rear axle, it quickly acquired a reputation for toughness, longevity, and reliability. Powered by a choice of torquey four-cylinder engines, the 'Amazon' proved a formidable competitor on both rally stages and racetracks alike.This example was originally registered on 1st October 1966 and has had two former keepers from new. Having covered a mere 17,150 miles this is a very original example indeed and is presented in very good order throughout. The paintwork is excellent, and the interior and engine bay present very well. The car of choice in the early 1930s, with money no object, was probably the Bentley built by Rolls-Royce. However, this was, at least, double the price of a Lagonda which had far more attractive open touring coachwork. Especially if it carried the powerful 4½ litre Meadows engine, tried and tested in the Invicta. Even Sir Malcolm Campbell had one, pale blue naturally. Unfortunately, poor sales forced them into receivership in June 1933 although two years later, as luck would have it, a Lagonda won Le Mans securing their reputation within the motorsport arena. As we all know, success on the track usually meant good sales from the high-street showrooms. The reinvigorated Lagonda company was then sold in 1935 to a consortium led by Alan Good with Dick Watney as Managing Director and W.O. Bentley as Technical Director. Refinanced and restructured, the new company wanted to capitalise on the victory at La Sarthe. The straight six, 4½ Litre Meadows unit was re-engineered by Lagonda’s Technical Director (W. O. himself) who had the incentive and finance required to translate that engine into the LG45 model with performance and reliability improvements.  Deliveries commenced in the spring of 1936 with the new big Lagonda more refined; gaining synchromesh gears, flexible engine mounts and centralised chassis lubrication among many other improvements. Endowed with such a pedigree, the 4½-litre Lagonda quickly established itself as a favourite among the wealthy sporting motorists of its day. The power was transmitted through a four-speed gearbox with synchromesh on second, third and top. By 1936, Harry Westlake had been employed to improve the cylinder head which lead to the ‘Sanction 3’ (simply translated as improvement) engine with twin spark plugs and twin Scintilla Vertex magnetos producing circa 130bhp.  FPK 696 is probably one of the best developed LG45s around. A product of the Northern Lagonda Factory ( a phrase coined by Denis Jenkinson to describe Alan Brown and David Hine in Lancashire). David Hine is chairman of the Lagonda Owners Club and is one of the most knowledgeable authorities on Lagondas and a superb engineer to boot. In 1995, he built this LG45 for his son, Nick, essentially to race. Alan Brown designed and made the body along the lines of a Fox & Nicholls team car but with more of a Rapide boot and light-weight construction. David developed the ‘Sanction 3’ engine over a number of years to give 170bhp at the wheels (around 200bhp at the flywheel). Combined with its massive Rapide brakes, this turned out to be a very competitive car, certainly quicker than a 4½ litre Bentley Although designed as a racer, the current owner has primarily used it as fast-road car. With gearing of 3.33:1 providing a cruising speed of 80mph at under 3,000rpm, it made the last European trip of some 2,000 miles faultlessly. The owner has undertaken general oil,  greasing and mechanical servicing as well as having had the magnetos rebuilt in 2023. The FIA papers are through to 2027. There is also a there is a VSCC buff logbook giving the any new owner access to events such as the Le Mans Classic, Miglia Mille , Goodwood and the Vernasca Silver Flag.  In terms of mechanical specification, there are extensive details to note that can all be viewed in the history folder that accompanies the car. If reading this in the Historic catalogue, you may like to refer to the online version for a more in-depth analysis;

The first XJ was launched in 1968 and the designation has been used for successive Jaguar flagship models since then. The original model was the last Jaguar saloon to have had the input of Sir William Lyons, the company's founder. A number of incarnations of this extremely robust and admired saloon appeared over the years finishing up in September 1997 with the X300 XJ, revised for a final time, and this time the car (known as X308) had changed more over the X300 than the X300 had done over the XJ40. The exterior styling which won the award of ‘L'Automobile piu Bella del Mondo’ with only real notable changes being new, shallower grille, bumpers incorporating oval front indicators. The passenger compartment was further strengthened by use of ultra-high strength boron steel and the high-speed crash survivability was further improved by incorporation of a unique ‘swans neck’ design into the crumple zones. More obvious changes lay under the bonnet and inside. An all-new, and hugely praised, V8 engine was introduced and was available in 3.2, 4.0 and 4.0 litre supercharged versions. The interior was changed greatly, featuring an all-new ‘oval design’ with matching door veneers. with the abundance of wood, chrome and leather that is a British luxury car trademark.This delightful Jaguar XJR was first registered on 28th May 2004 and has clearly been well cared for. The grey coachwork is in good order as is the interior. The V8 supercharged engine runs well and offers performance that is impressive by any standard. The gearbox operates smoothly and the ancillaries operate as they should. These aluminium bodied Jaguars are fabulous to drive and this one is no exception. TVR was an independent British manufacturer of sports cars and until 2006 was based in the seaside town of Blackpool. The company manufactured lightweight sports cars with powerful engines and was, at one stage, the third largest specialised sports car manufacturer in the world offering a diverse range of coupés and convertibles. TVR's are composed of tubular steel frames, cloaked in fibreglass bodywork. The two arms of the company were TVR Engineering, which manufactured sports cars, and TVR Power, their powertrain division. The company has regrettably had a turbulent recent history and has not made any new cars since 2006. In July 2012, owner Nikolay Smolensky announced that despite analysing various potential plans to create a new car, building a new TVR model was not going to be financially viable, despite promising to do so when buying the company, and thus TVR's existence as a car manufacturer was ended. The Chimaera was intended to be the long-distance tourer of the range and as such was longer, more spacious and had slightly softer suspension than its sister car.This lovely example has covered 33,950 miles from new, and comes complete with air conditioning and has been very well looked after throughout its life. The first owner was TVR who used it as a demonstration car. In 2009 the body was removed and the outriggers on the chassis replaced. Finished in Halcyon Atlantis with Pibrock Spinnaker full leather interior, grey carpets and the lovely grey effect wooden dashboard with matching steering wheel. This TVR Chimaera is supplied with a V5 registration document, a fresh MoT test certificate and a file containing invoices including details of the £3,000 spent in the last 2 years by the vendor. The Arnage T laid claim to the title of world's fastest saloon in 2002, propelling the driver, in total luxury to a top speed of 170mph. Powered by a 6.75 litre twin turbo version of the Rolls-Royce, V8 engine, the nearly three-ton car could accelerate from 0-60mph in just 5.5 seconds. The engine was treated to what Bentley described as 'the most thorough re-engineering of its life’ producing 451bhp and 645lb/ft of torque. Other changes included the adoption of a 'drive-by-wire' throttle to go hand-in-glove with Bosch's Electronic Stability Program which replaced the Red Label's traction control, but what really gives this nearly three-ton car its immense poise is a revised suspension that features 57% more roll stiffness than the Red Label. The car's basic structure is also 10% stiffer which means there are no creaks and squeaks of the sort that distinguished previous generations of Bentleys.This is a beautifully specified example in Midnight Emerald with Spruce hide, rear mini fridge with picnic tables and glasses and it presents in very impressive condition throughout. The car was specified by and originally registered to Bentley Motors, wearing the registration ’20 TU’, it is believed to have been used by senior management and for press duties at the time. The car has been in current ownership since 2011 and comes with a comprehensive service history, with a record of 15 services in total at main agents and specialists. It is fair to say that Lancia is best known for its motorsport prowess, both on the circuit from the LC2 Group C cars all the way through to the rally stages of Europe starring the 037, Stratos and Delta Integrales. Going back a bit though, the Fulvia was the headline act and the independent suspension, all-round disc brakes and narrow angled, V4 engine that powered this example. Indeed, the ‘Sport’ variation was commissioned by Lancia to Zagato as more aerodynamic and sportier version of the coupé and which could also be used in both road and track competitions.The vendor acquired this rare and fast appreciating right hand drive Zagato-bodied Fulvia some 20 years ago. Synonymous with the swinging ‘60’s and the hit TV series, Inspector Morse, the Jaguar Mk. II Saloon has been used as a vehicle to transport everyone from dignitaries and politicians to bank robbers and the criminal select. Desirable due to being a well-balanced saloon car with space for four adults and a good size boot, it also boasted engine options including the mighty Jaguar 3.8 litre power unit; small wonder it became popular as a getaway vehicle. When released, traditional Jaguar buyers had no need to feel alienated by the new offering from Coventry as the interior was up to their usual standards with leather and walnut being the order of the day. The Mk. II 3.8 litre is a quick car even by today's standards, the engine produced 220bhp and could accelerate from 0-60 mph in 8.5 seconds reaching a top speed of 125mph.This Mk. II 3.8 Litre was manufactured on 26th February 1960 and dispatched to Jaguar Cars in New York, it was repatriated to the UK in 1994. Circa 30 years ago it was converted to right hand drive and it also has a high-torque starter motor, an alloy radiator and an additional electric fan. Finished in Signal Red with grey interior this Jaguar runs and drives although it will require some attention. There is an oil leak from the engine and a bearing noise from the rear when driving. This is generally a sound car although there is scope for improvement from a new owner. Purchased from ourselves in 2021 this Jaguar Mk. The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow was a luxury saloon car built from 1965 through to 1980 and was the first Rolls-Royce to be constructed using a monocoque chassis and, to date, has the largest production volume of any Rolls-Royce. The original Shadow was 3½ inches narrower and seven inches shorter than its predecessor, the Silver Cloud, but managed to offer increased passenger and luggage space thanks to more efficient packaging. Aside from a more modern appearance and construction, the Silver Shadow introduced many new features such as disc brakes replacing drum brakes and independent rear suspension rather than the ageing live axle design of previous models. It featured a 189bhp 6.75 litre V8 engine from 1970 onwards, mated to a Turbo Hydromantic 400 transmission supplied by General Motors. The superb ride quality achieved in the Shadow was thanks to the innovative high-pressure hydraulic system with dual circuit braking and hydraulic self-levelling suspension.Having purchased this Rolls-Royce in 2019 the vendor then spent over £14,000 on the mechanics, ensuring longevity and reliability. The owner before the current vendor owned the car for 30 years and clearly enjoyed the comfort and prestige of such a handsome example. These iconic Rolls-Royce’s are delightful to look at and even better to drive. Start the engine and the first thing that is apparent is both the smoothness and quietness of the 6750cc V8. description to followIntroduced in 1993 to the public, the handsome new DB7 was Aston Martin's first six-cylinder model since production of the DB6 Mk. II had finished in 1971. Styled by Ian Callum, its lines were evocative of earlier Aston Martin models and elements of the DB4/5/6 could be seen in its design. Arguably one of the most attractive looking cars ever produced by Aston Martin, the DB7 was well received and attracted new customers worldwide with its traditional layout of the curvaceous two-door coupé body and powerful six-cylinder engine.Power was supplied by an all alloy double overhead camshaft supercharged 24 valve inline six-cylinder engine which produced 335bhp @ 5750rpm. The supercharger was supplied by Eaton who also provided blowers for the mighty eight-cylinder Vantage that was produced at Newport Pagnell at the same time as the DB7 at Bloxham. Regarded by many as the purest modern Aston Martin, the DB7 will undoubtedly be a collectable car for years to come and is equally at home in the city or out on the open road.Originally registered on 17th May 1995 this manual transmission Aston Martin presents very well. The Silver coachwork is virtually unmarked and the grey leather interior has obviously been well cared for. The vendor is a fastidious collector and looked long and hard for a manual transmission example that was in the right condition for him. The Lotus Carlton was a Vauxhall Carlton upgraded by Lotus Cars to be a 177mph sports saloon with acceleration equal to contemporary supercars. When released, it was the fastest four-door saloon car in the world. The external differences were minimal with the addition of a rear spoiler, air intakes on the bonnet, Lotus badges on the front wings and bootlid, a bodykit and considerably wider wheel arches. The car was only sold in one colour, a shade of British Racing Green called Imperial Green, a very dark green that in anything but direct light appears black.Lotus re-worked the 2969cc, 24V straight six used in the Carlton GSi and bored it out to 3615cc. In addition, twin Garrett T25 turbochargers were attached resulting in 377bhp and torque at 419lb/ft. Power was transmitted through a six-speed ZF manual gearbox and power was driven to the rear wheels via a limited-slip differential. The brakes were supplied by AP with 330mm ventilated discs all round and racing calipers.This stunning example of the iconic super saloon is presented in near unmarked Imperial Green coach work with the luxurious full black leather. More recently the car was found by a gentleman who discovered the car in a barn having been stored between 2006 when it had covered 59,614 and 2020. Our vendor seeing the potential in what is a low mileage example, purchased and embarked on what became a three years restoration program. The restoration included a full glass out repaint after any necessary welding had been completed, the underside was fully refurbished, engine removed, rebuilt and Turbos refurbished and indeed still under warranty before the entire interior and wheels were refurbished. A significant amount has been spent, £20,000 with a Lotus specialist and an estimated £60,000 of restoration costs alone. The history file has been sourced from new until 2006 when the car was taken off the road and a photographic history of the restoration since is accompanying the car as is the original build number 0214G. The 308 GTB was launched at the Paris Motor Show in 1975 and was built alongside the 308 GT4, contrived as a replacement for the 246 Dino. Designed by Leonardo Fiorvanti, the man who styled some of the most iconic Ferraris including the Daytona, the new 308 was a rakish and attractive body which fused classic elements of Ferrari styling with a thoroughly modern design. For the first two years of production, the body of the 308 was produced in fibreglass after which steel was used. The 308 shared a similar tube frame chassis as the original Dino and 308 GT4 with four-wheel double wishbone independent suspension. The engine was a V8 unit which was positioned behind the driver; it was transversely mounted with double overhead camshafts and four 40DCNF Weber carburettors, latterly replaced with Bosch K Jetronic mechanical fuel injection.This lovely privately owned and entered 308 GTS was built by Ferrari in Marinello December 1979 as can be found by the original order and correspondence with Ferrari aficionado Tony Willis. Delivered to the UK on 25th April 1980 to Mr Wozniak, a dentist, via HR Owen Ferrari London. The original order shows that car was specified in Rosso Chiaro with Nero black hide, with matching carpets, air conditioning, wider wheels, front spoiler and fog lamps with flashing facility all of which can be seen in the history file. In 1989 the car had been purchased by a Mr Baughn, printed correspondence with Marinello Concessionaires Ltd shows that he was unhappy with his bodywork and commissioned Maranello’s to fully bare metal repaint the car at a cost of £18,000 before he had the car fully retrimmed two years later, owning the car until 1998.In the tenure of owner number three, whilst being thoroughly enjoyed and very well maintained, the car had its first dealing with Kent High Performance Centre, this a relationship with the car that has lasted up until recently with Kent High Performance performing the latest Cam Belt service for our owner in 2022 at 61,299 miles. The History file is extensive, almost all MoT certificates are present as is what appears to be every bill and piece of correspondence with the car, our vendor purchased the car from Kent High Performance/The Ferrari Centre in 2018 and has frequented shows and meets always gaining compliments about his GTS.Importantly, this is a UK supplied right hand drive early (1979 production) example, seen as more desirable than the fuel injected cars that followed and sits correctly on the original wheels with good tyres all round. The Chevrolet Suburban is a full-size SUV from Chevrolet and the name started in 1934 for the 1935 U.S. model year, making it the longest continuously used automobile nameplate in production. It has traditionally been one of General Motors' most profitable vehicles. The 1935 first generation Carryall Suburban was one of the first production all-metal bodied station wagons. It now comes with three engine options: a 5.3 litre V8, 6.2 litre V8 or a 3.0 litre Inline-6 turbo diesel. The GMT400-based Suburban’s were introduced in December 1991 for the 1992 model year. The similar pick-up truck models had switched to the newer platforms in the 1988 model year. Both two wheel and four-wheel drive models, designated ‘C’ and ‘K’, were offered, as well as half ton and three quarter ton (‘1500’ and ‘2500’) models. Trim options included a base-level version, the LS, and the LT. Interior seating arrangements allowed for either bucket or bench seating in the first row and optional third row bench. The vehicle could be configured from two to nine passenger seating. Transmissions included the 4L60 four-speed automatic in the 1500 series, and the heavier duty 4L80 four-speed automatic in the 2500.This Chevrolet has been owned in the same family from new and presents in delightful condition. The black coachwork is in very good order as is the interior. As well as being extremely well-appointed vehicles there is ample room for passengers in these supremely comfortable vehicles. The 5.3 litre V8 engine, mated to an automatic transmission offers smoothness and performance if need. This low mileage example is being sold with a V5 registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 14th August 2024. Offered at a very sensible reserve these are fabulous vehicles and are extremely practical family SUV’s with substantial interior space for people and luggage, this must be one of the finest available of this marque. The Focus is a compact car designed under Alex Trotman's Ford 2000 plan, which aimed to globalize model development and sell one compact vehicle worldwide. The Focus was primarily designed by Ford of Europe’s German and British teams. The second generation Focus RS is the Focus that Ford originally claimed was unlikely to manufacture, however they did and the latest ‘hot hatch’ was born. One of the most controversial aspects of the car was its drivetrain, which remained front, not four-wheel drive. After awarding the car five stars, this is what the team at Auto Express had to say about the new Ford Focus RS when launched: “The engineers have done an amazing job. It’s got storming performance, amazing handling and grip, but also real character thanks to that charismatic five-cylinder engine.”The car we have here was first registered on 30th April 2010 and has had just three owners in total, having covered an exceptionally low mileage of just 16,978 (atoc). The car is presented in fabulous condition in gleaming Frozen White with optional black Recaro CS ‘Dynamica’ seats. The car has an excellent service history, with the most recent service having been carried out in July 2023 by Sytner BMW Tamworth less than 200 miles ago. The car is fitted with optional Sony Bluetooth connectivity and air conditioning. Supplied to auction with a V5C registration document, MoT test certificate valid until September 2024 and a comprehensive history file. Consigned by Fraser Smith

The Fiat 500 was produced by the Italian car makers between 1957 and 1975 with limited production of the Fiat 500K estate continuing until 1977. It was designed by Dante Giacosa and, despite its diminutive size, the 500 proved to be an enormously practical and popular vehicle throughout Europe capturing the hearts and minds of the public. Launched as the Nuova (new) 500, it was marketed as a cheap and practical town car. Measuring only three metres long and originally powered by a tiny 479cc two-cylinder, air-cooled engine, the 500 redefined the term 'small car' and is considered one of the first city cars.This delightful Fiat 500L is offered in gleaming cream coachwork with retrimmed chocolate Brown contrasting trim. Presented as an older restored example our vendor purchased the car as part of a Fiat collection which has been housed in Italy. We are advised she starts 'on the button' and has recently had the carburettors rebuilt, cylinder head cleaned and the fuel tank and lines cleaned after a period in storage. Clearly the restorer was familiar with these great cars and the work appears to have been carried out to a good standard. On 5 November 2009, Porsche officially announced a new variant of the Boxster, which was officially unveiled at the 2009 Los Angeles Motor Show. Positioned above the Boxster S, the Boxster Spyder was the lightest Porsche on the market at the time, weighing 1,275 kg, 80 kg lighter than a Boxster S. This was achieved through the elimination of the conventional soft top's operating mechanism, the radio/PCM unit, door handles, air conditioning, storage compartments, cup holders and large LED light modules on the front fascia, although some of these could be re-added to the car in the form of options. Weight saving was also gained using aluminium doors, an aluminium rear deck and the lightest 19-inch wheels in the Porsche pallet. The Spyder has a firmer suspension set-up than the other Boxster models and is almost one inch lower in order to have improved handling. A manually operated canvas top, carbon fibre sports bucket seats and two signature humps running along the back of the vehicle provide characteristic design elements. Powered by a six-cylinder boxer engine rated at 320 bhp and 273 lb ft of torque, a 10 hp increase in power over the Boxster S and the related Cayman S. The Boxster Spyder came with a six-speed manual transmission as standard and had Porsche's seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox available as an option. This stunning example of the very collectable Porsche Spyder is presented in Glacier White with carbon seats trimmed in Alcantara and black hood. Originally registered on 11th May 2011 a car that defies the 13 years the car has been on UK roads. Boasting under 20,000 miles the car has been cared for very well and presents almost as well as when it was purchased new from Porsche with the original launch book even included. The E60 M5 was introduced in 2005, with a V10 engine and seven-speed transmission linking the car with the BMW Sauber Formula One program. The E60 M5 was the world's first production saloon to use a V10 petrol engine. The E63/E64 M6 coupé and convertible are based on a shortened version of the M5 chassis and largely use the same mechanical components. The official 0 to 62 mph acceleration figure is 4.7 seconds, however magazine tests have recorded figures down to 4.1 seconds. The E60 M5 was the fastest four-door saloon available at the time of its introduction with the top speed electronically restricted to 155 mph but could be raised to 190 mph with the optional M-driver's package. To cap off a stunning entry into the sports saloon market the M5 recorded a Nürburgring lap time of an impressive 8:13 and with just 1,776 UK examples produced is very well thought of amongst collectors and enthusiasts.This wonderful E60 BMW was registered new on 28th June 2007 and is fitted with the powerful 5 litre V10. This M5 has had five former keepers from new and presents very well throughout. Offered in Silverstone blue paintwork with full Silverstone black leather interior both presenting in very good condition throughout. Converted to a manual, six-speed M3 gearbox with a higher ratio differential by Everything M Power in Banbury, the UK’s leading M specialist. Other works completed include the replacement of the con-rods and bearings in 2023 and a comprehensive service history. This is an excellent low mileage example in fantastic condition. The Lancia Flavia was launched with an overhead-valve, horizontally opposed four-cylinder aluminium engine which was mounted ahead of the front wheels providing a drive with plenty of torque. Combined with the independent front suspension and beam axle at the rear, great road holding was achieved while the dual-circuit, servo assisted all-round disc brakes gave the Lancia Flavia exceptional braking combined with front wheel drive performance making it a very advanced vehicle from its time.This beautiful example is a very rare right hand drive UK supplied example and is finished in blue coachwork.. Offered with an extensive history file including its original buff log book, original handbooks, brochures, old MoT records, invoices from Lancia specialists including the renowned Omicron Engineering who have carried out thousands of pounds of refurbishment over the years making this example beautiful and very useable! The 996 model is a superb car; quick, reliable, well-made and representing the birth of the water-cooled 911. In 2002, the X50 package was offered as an option on the Turbo that included larger K24 turbochargers and intercoolers, a revised ECU and quad-pipe exhaust which raised power output to 444bhp, however in 2005, Porsche introduced the Turbo S model available as either a coupé or cabriolet. The Turbo S was essentially a 996 turbo with the X50 option but also included PCCB, six-disc CD changer and aluminium-faced instruments. Worldwide production for the 996 Turbo S (including both Coupé and Cabriolet) was 1,563 cars. This makes this model very limited in numbers.A collectable and rare example of the 911 presented in Artic Silver with contrasting black leather trim, this example of the iconic Turbo S was first registered on 4th October 2004. Originally a Porsche Press car and featured in magazines including Autocar, Evo magazine, Porsche 911 World and 911 Magazine, copies of which can be found in the history file. Costing when new a shade under £100,000, this example has covered a mere 61,900. Importantly, a manual example of the ultimate incarnation of the 996 Turbo, this is one of just 1,563 units produced of a desirable Turbo S boasting the X50 engine and believed to be one of less than 60 UK manual cars. Upon inspection it was advised the car would benefit from new tyres and a wheel refurbishment, but our vendor has sensibly taken this into account when pricing the car allowing a new owner to adorn the Turbo S with their own choice. The bodywork and trim are all in good order and the car has an MoT test certificate which is valid until July 2024 with the only advisories regarding tyre wear. The car boasts just six former keepers in its 19 years along with the original magazine from its use a press car and a large folder of paperwork and invoices.We are informed the car drives well and is still eye wateringly fast as it should and, as a flagship Turbo S made at the end of the 996 generation’s life, comes with the X50 option pack as factory standard. This includes larger turbochargers and intercoolers that propel the car to 60mph in four seconds and combined with Porsche’s excellent stability control, makes for a sensational and satisfying drive. This stunning example is an ideal usable modern classic investment that can be fully enjoyed at a fraction of the original cost and boasts ‘Press car’ provenance. The origins of the Corniche came from the continuation of the 1965 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow fixedhead coupé and 1967 drophead coupé, constructed by the famed coachbuilder Mulliner Park Ward in London. The car was named after the stunning roads along the Côte d'Azur in France and was an elegant two-door design available with either a coupé or convertible body. By 1982, the coupé had ceased production, but convertibles continued to be built until 1996. The first Rolls-Royce to wear the Corniche name was a 1939 prototype based on the Bentley Mk. V, although this was never produced due to the onset of World War II. The car used the standard Rolls-Royce 6750cc V8 engine as fitted to the Silver Shadow and had an aluminium-silicon alloy block and aluminium cylinder heads with cast iron wet cylinder liners. The fuel system was in the form of twin SU carburettors which were later replaced with Bosch fuel injection from 1980 onwards.Finished in white with magnolia hide, this Corniche was first registered in June 1987. This is the later derivative of the Corniche which included body-coloured bumpers amongst many other upgrades. Previously owned by Lord Sainsbury this car has been well maintained throughout its life including time spent as a highly desirable wedding car. With a powered hood, in its day the Corniche convertible was the pinnacle of open top luxury motoring and was driven by rockstars and royalty alike. This car comes with a current V5C registration document and will be presented for an MoT prior to the auction.
