Tls. Seitenzählung und tls. Blattzählung (Falttafeln = jwls. 1 Seite. BL: S. 389/390 und Bl. 397 mit Ausschnitten. C.I.O.S Number 18 Report No. XXXII-122 Restricted (declassified by USN) Title: The war time activities of Dr. Ing H.C.F. Porsche, K.G. Reported by: Lt. Col. G.C. Reeves (Ministry of Supply) CIOS Target No: 18/73, Armoured Fighting Vehicles Combined Intelligence Objectives Sub-committeeG-2 Division, SHAEF (Reer) 416 (of 424) p. With approx. 100 illustrations, drawings and pictures with an additional 45 large multi-page foldouts (some fold outs are as large as 14 pages). Date of Publication: not stamped but late 1945 Report contains some history of Mr. Porsche and his company but is mostly focused on the super heavy tank design Maus. Most of the fold outs and drawings are related to this armored tank design. There is also some data and discussions related to engine design and the Volkwagen. Helpful Note: Combined Intelligence Objectives Sub-committee (C.I.O.S) are (as summarized by National Archives) a series of over 700 published accounts of specific German scientific, medical, and technological developments during World War II. Most reports are based on detailed interviews with several German scientists, doctors, technicians, or other officials, and they often incorporate copies of photographs, drawings, and German-language documents. The majority of the reports concern industrial processes and technological developments related to the German war effort. The development and production of aluminum, steel, fuels, ordnance, ammunition, tanks and other vehicles, chemical warfare, optical equipment, and pharmaceuticals all provide examples of these subjects. This is one of the largest of the CIOS reports and one of the most difficult to come by. - Pp. 179-182, 236, 250, 383-384 missing. Pagination partly counting pages, partly sheets (folded plates counted as one page). Pp. 389/390 and 397 with flaws.
