1999 Quantum H4 Convertible Make: Quantum Model: H4 Convertible Year: 1999 Colour: Blue Mileage: Registration: H390 NJT Engine Number: LB18969 Chassis Number: H40100597KJT10350 Driving Side: RHS Transmission: Correctly registered as a Quantum on the V5C, this example utilises running gear from an early 90’s Ford Fiesta XR2i. Considerably lighter than the donor vehicle, this M4 proved to be extremely nippy on a brief test drive. Running, driving and perfectly usable as is with a current MOT until 18th January 2023. The private vendor has asked us to describe the car as a straightforward project, just because an amount of refinishing and detailing is required, also this vehicle has seen little use in recent years. Wrapped in its current dark blue hue at some point, the Quantum comes complete with a boot full of spare parts, various Club magazines, current MOT certificates, information on the company and a folder of past invoices.

Los 10

1994 Toyota MR2 2.0 GT 16v Make: Model: Year: 1994 Colour: Mileage: 76,000 Registration: L616 AOG Engine Number: Chassis Number: Driving Side: RHS Transmission: This UK specification.2.0 GT 16v has had just one former registered keeper from new. Purchased as a wedding anniversary gift for the second lady owner who, in reality, didn’t like driving the car, finding it a little too sporty for her tastes. Since purchase in February 1999, she covered less than 10,000 miles. Current mileage stands at 76,000 miles with 8 Toyota service stamps up to 53k in the fully complete book pack. Since purchase all servicing was carried out by her engineer husband. Described by the vendor as immaculate throughout, retaining both keys and the very rare inner sunroof cover.

1953 Ford Prefect E493A Make: Ford Model: Prefect E493A Year: 1953 Colour: Canterbury Green Mileage: 67,247 Registration: TPA 719 Engine Number: R18427/c Chassis Number: C716001 Driving Side: RHS Transmission: Manual I cannot take credit, unlike me really, for the information contained within this description as the owner provided us with so much! Hint, hint to other vendors...One of the last 200 E493A’s to roll off the production line in June 1953 and unsold until approximately 4 months making it one of the very last, if not the last, Prefect’s to be UK registered. Unusually finished in Canterbury Green, normally a Zephyr/Zodiac colour. Believed to have never been fully restored, rather maintained and repaired as and when required. Briefly appearing in the film “Nowhere Man”, a biopic of the early life of John Lennon. A DVD copy of the movie is included in the sale along with many other items appertaining to the Car.

Los 15

Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 1975 One of just two UK RHD 365 GT4/2+2 models to be finished in Black with red leather interior. This entry has formed part of a twenty strong collection based on Orkney. Little use in recent years, the car runs and drives well (see video’s and further images on our Facebook page and bidding platforms). The interior presents well, nicely worn in without any major damage or wear. Cosmetically, the car could be improved but is perfectly usable as is. Comes complete with complete leather book wallet including service booklet, service manual and Tool box and jack. Probably the most cost effective way to get yourself sat behind that glorious quad cam V12 engine. The exhaust system and manifolds have recently been replaced.

Los 16

1959 BSA Road Rocket Make: BSA Model: Year: 1959 Colour: Black and Red Mileage: Registration: YUK 357 Engine Number: CA10R10582 Chassis Number: FA715777 Driving Side: Transmission: I’m a car person so can’t claim to know much about motorcycles, I’m afraid. I can tell you that this twin cylinder 650cc Road Rocket is in apparently lovely condition and is said to ride as it should. MOT exempt. V5c present showing 5 former keepers since first registration on 04/07/1959. Complete with period BSA instruction book, Haynes manual and various copies of the Star, the BSA club magazine.

Los 18

1979 Mini 95 pickup Registration XCE 172T, Engine Number 85h791p-159264, Chassis Number XKU1-563911A With restoration beginning 20 years ago, other commitments took over and this restoration was left in the corner of the professional painter/vendor's workshop. Nearing retirement age he has realised that this is one project too many. All metal work has been completed with just preparation painting and build up to complete. Original front panel and four ten inch wheels are included within the sale. Front disc brake conversion has been carried out and an MG Metro sunroof has been fitted. A very straight forward project and how cool would it look in old English white with a black roof?

1920's Ruggles Flatbed Truck Make: Model: Year: 1924 Colour: Mileage: Registration: Engine Number: Chassis Number: Driving Side: RHS Transmission: Built by the Ruggles Motor Truck Co. of Saginaw, Michigan, in 1924, this Flatbed was discovered in Rosewood by L&M Nixon Transport of Ipswich in the 1960s where it was driving a saw bench. Following its acquisition from Nixons it was restored in 1990 and is now presented in burgundy livery. Unusual in the UK, it would make an ideal exhibit or show vehicle and is offered from long-term family ownership. Due to size, weight and the sheer impracticality of driving the bl##dy thing, a video and extensive images will be available on the day with the vehicle needing collection from the Kettering area.

1992 Mercedes Benz 300 GD W463 G-Wagen Make: Mercedes Model: 300 GD W463 G-Wagen Year: 1992 Colour: Green Mileage: 175,977 Registration: J245 UHN Engine Number: 60393120001636 Chassis Number: WDB46332827077059 Driving Side: RHS Transmission: Manual One of the first W463 variants, this G-Wagen has covered a touch over 175k miles in its 31 years. Hardly used in recent times, this example is unrestored and in remarkably good order with apparently none of the usual G rust issues even in the known problem areas. 9 seats with only the drivers lower bolster showing signs of wear. Believed to have been a demonstrator when new, the car has had just 2 registered owners since, the current owner, and vendor, having owned the car since 2004. Only offered for sale due to lack of use having covered just 600 miles since 2018. Regularly serviced locally and complete with service manual. Current MOT until June 2023.

Los 25

2003 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Spec C Limited Prototype/Press car Make: Model: Year: 2003 Colour: Red Mileage: 92,800 Registration: VX53 OJJ Engine Number: Chassis Number: Driving Side: RHS Transmission: The Prototype/Press car developed to type 2S spec by Ian Litchfield of Litchfield imports. Used in many magazine articles, where it normally came out on top, even outscoring a BMW M3 CSL in one magazine. Given dash plaque number 000, all magazine road tests were completed on the original engine and copies of the articles can be found amongst the photographs supplied. At approximately 8,000 miles a 2S short block engine was fitted, mainly for development and the personal use of Ian Litchfield. After approximately 4500 miles, the original engine was reinstalled. All of this information is contained within the detailed letter of provenance from Ian Litchfield himself. A copy of which is contained within the history folder which also includes, Japanese paperwork, V5C, a letter from the current private owner, who has owned the car since 2011, who has covered less than 15,000 miles in 11 years. Current milage at 92,800 with, as previously stated, 4500 of those on the 2S short block. Little use in recent years, the car would benefit from a good service and check over, but according to vendor runs and drives well.

Los 26

1971 Jensen Interceptor II LHD Make: Jensen Model: CP Year: 1971 Colour: Yellow Mileage: Registration: Engine Number: J2098125GG383 Chassis Number: 125/5278 Driving Side: LHS Transmission: Automatic One of 432 LHD Interceptor II’s manufactured, it is believed that this example was delivered new to California and first registered in late November 1971 although service bills lead us to believe the car spent time in Georgia in the 2010’s. Described by the vendor as being in excellent, mainly unrestored, order throughout. Complete with original tool roll, handbook (with supplement) and service book. Currently undergoing UK registration.

Los 27

1986 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth 3dr Make: Ford Model: Year: 1986 Colour: Mileage: 32,700 Registration: D170 DAD Engine Number: Chassis Number: Driving Side: Transmission: 1986 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth 3dr Dry, but draughty, stored since 1991 this 19/11/86 registered 3dr RS Cosworth has quite an interesting story to tell. The vendor’s father, who purchased the car new in 1986 from the then main Ford dealer in Kings Lynn and covered just 32,000 miles in the following 4 years. He was a local business (and ladies) man based on the Norfolk/Cambridgeshire borders and used the car daily. In fact, his daughter Luci remembers regular lifts to school as a youngster in the car which must have caused quite a stir at the time. Luci will be attending our auction on September 3rd and will attempt to answer any questions potential buyers may have concerning that early period. Back to the story, which has gained almost mythical status locally. In the late summer of 1991, an attempt was made to steal the car. During this break-in, the RS was started, moved and damaged within minutes of the attempted theft. Luci’s father lost heart despite only relatively minor damage and drove it into the barn where it remained untouched until today, August 20th 2022 when we pushed it around its resting place in order to photograph. At no point has an insurance claim been made and the car remains completely hpi clear. Many parts were purchased in order to effect repair and will be included within the sale. A portfolio of over 75 photographs of all aspects of the RS are available upon request. The car has not been started for many years and this will remain as such whilst in our care. We can confirm that the engine turns and compression seems good. Everything appears factory standard and the front wings bear week 38, 1986 stamps which ties in well with a November first registration. No apparent damage to chassis leg, just a crumpled section of the horizontal section of the drivers side inner wing. Both front wings require minor repair. The bumper, we believe, is a factory replacement. The original grille is with the car along with a factory replacement. This is, in our opinion, a very straightforward repair Comes complete with V5c, old style V5 and complete book pack including service booklet Now this is a barn find. Totally HPI clear.

Los 28

1973 Jaguar E Type SIII V12 Coupe Make: Jaguar Model: E Type Year: 1973 Colour: Blue Mileage: 49,359 Registration: GEF 200 Engine Number: 75102305B Chassis Number: 1S51637BW Driving Side: RHS Transmission: Supplied new by Henley’s of London on the 13th of February 1973, this Azure blue automatic example has covered just over 50,000 miles with expired MOT certificates to authenticate. Owned by a private vendor since 2012, the V5C displays 6 former keepers. Largely original, the car benefitted from a new Heritage bonnet and a bare metal respray in 2013-14. Complete with photographic history of repaint, Heritage certificate, photocopy of original buff log book, current MOT until 2023 and 22 expired MOT certificates. Registration number to be retained by vendor. Probably the nicest Series III E Type we have seen in almost 20 years of auctions.

Los 3

1979 MG Midget 1500 Make: MG Model: Midget 1500 Year: 1979 Colour: Blue Mileage: 24,500 Registration: LKJ 93V Engine Number: 68755 Chassis Number: GAN Driving Side: RHS Transmission: Manual Purchased by the vendor in 2015 he has now switched camps and decided to purchase a Triumph! Much expenditure during his ownership including unleaded head conversion, alloy cam cover, removable roll bar and minilite style wheels. Recent mechanical works have included new wheel cylinders, radiator, electronic ignition and core plugs. Comes with a large folder of invoices, tax discs and expired MOT certificates to back up the indicated 24500 miles which the vendor believes to be correct.

Los 30

1966 MGB Roadster Make: MG Model: B Year: 1966 Colour: Black Mileage: Registration: DGL 461D Engine Number: 56194 Chassis Number: GHN3103822 Driving Side: RHS Transmission: Supplied new by Bath Garages, Bath in October 1966, this UK market ‘B’, according to its BMIHT Heritage certificate, was originally black with red interior as it remains today although the car has been retrimmed in leather, piped black, at some point. Extra’s when new included wire wheels, heater, Dunlop SP tyres, hard top (no longer with car) and anti roll bar. Comes with a very good history file with invoices dating back to the early nineties along with expired MOT certificates and tax discs. Offered on behalf of the late owners family, this appears to be a lovely little early roadster that is ready to be enjoyed.

Los 31

2002 BMW 745Li LWB 19k from new Make: BMW Model: 745 LI Auto Year: 2002 Colour: Green Mileage: Registration: HF52 EAM Engine Number: 51972822 Chassis Number: WBAGN62020DE55750 Driving Side: RHS Transmission: This LWB 740Li was first registered on the 1st of September 2002 and has covered just 19000 miles in its 20 year lifespan. Registered to the first owner then subsequently changed into his company name and upon his passing, gifted to a close member of staff. Complete with full handbook pack and although only 2 services are noted within the service booklet, an A4 file of main dealer service, etc, invoices comes with the car. All usual 745 extras are included along with, most unusually, full dark blue cloth interior, a special order item that will have cost a fortune when now. The car drove superbly during our photograph session, just as you would expect a 19k miles 7 series to.

Sunbeam Alpine GT 1960's Year: 1967 Colour: Blue Mileage: Registration: EPV 584D Engine Number: 395006855 Chassis Number: 395006855HR0 Driving Side: RHS Transmission: Manual 4 speed plus overdrive in 3rd and 4th Sunbeam Alpine GT 1967 Lady owned and cherished for some years, this 1725cc Series V GT offers room for some improvement but is perfectly usable as is.

Los 36

1930's Wolseley 14/56 Make: Model: Year: 1930 Colour: Mileage: Registration: DLX 992 Engine Number: Chassis Number: Driving Side: RHS Transmission: A well known local car, this Wolseley is offered on behalf of the executors. Although running and driving well, we actually drove the car to Weeting and back for display at our annual steam rally auction, the brakes will require slight attention. The car is pulling to the left and the pedal is quite hard. Although restored some years ago, this 14 appears to remain in fine fettle bar the odd minor area of light microblistering. Although not wishing to give the game away as to the deceased owner, the interior is superb, including the roof lining. Not used for at least 3 years, some clean fuel and a charge of the 12 volt converted electrical system and she was away without missing a beat on a very warm 35 mile return journey to Suffolk. Utterly charming in every way with a surprising turn of speed. No wonder these cars were so popular with police forces throughout the country

Los 37

2000 Saab Viggen Convertible Make: Model: Year: 2000 Colour: Mileage: Registration: Engine Number: Chassis Number: Driving Side: RHS Transmission: Certain people deride these later Saabs as little more than rebodied GM products. How wrong they are. The engineers at Saab changed virtually everything culminating in this, possibly the most desirable Saab drop top of all. “Our” car has been cherished all its life having covered just 106k miles in the hands of its 5 owners. 20, yes twenty, stamps of service history, 17 of which are Saab main dealer, the rest being specialist. Last serviced in November 20, less than a thousand miles has been covered since. The car comes complete with both keys, all books and a huge file of expenditure, even down to a fluid change for the hydraulics in the soft top. Completely standard and, in the words of the vendor, totally immaculate some very minor bubbling on the lip of the drivers rear wheel arch. He also confirms that absolutely everything works correctly, even the air-con. A real find for the Saab enthusiast.

1973 Range Rover “Suffix B” Make: Model: Year: 1973 Colour: Mileage: 70,997 Registration: 0FK 70M Engine Number: 35514040B Chassis Number: 35507572B Driving Side: RHD Transmission: Manual Only produced for approximately 10 months, this “Suffix B” was farmer owned for many years and during his period of ownership the engine was changed to a 4 litre Ford “A” series diesel but the original engine is included in the sale. Interestingly, specially fabricated gearbox mounting plates and engine mounts were produced allowing the utilisation of original bolt holes in the chassis and negating the need to cut either bulkhead or chassis. In fact, it appears that refitting the original 3.5 litre V8 looks to be a straightforward procedure. Running and driving but requiring a fair degree of renovation. MOT exempt. Odometer reads 70,997 miles.

Los 5

1934-35 Standard R16 deluxe saloon (project) Make: Model: Year: 1934 Colour: Mileage: Registration: Engine Number: Chassis Number: Driving Side: RHS Transmission: We have neither registration number or any form of registration paperwork so the new owner will need to consult with the club in order to effect registration. Chassis plate visible. It is clearly apparent that the car has had both the coachwork and interior restored. Chrome and interior require refinishing. Condition of running gear is unknown but it is clear that the majority of the hard work has been completed to a very good standard. No doubt some minor parts are missing or require attention. Most notably, the sunroof is missing as are the bumpers. No Reserve.

1967 Jaguar 420 Saloon Make: Jaguar Model: 420 Year: 1967 Colour: Maroon Mileage: Registration: LFL 663F Engine Number: 7F54728 Chassis Number: PF3544DW Driving Side: Transmission: Often overlooked in favour of it’s glamourous siblings, the MKII and S-Type, these 420’s really are a delight to drive. In essence a series 1 XJ6 prototype, the two models shared suspension, engine and basic dimensions so the driving experience is basically the same. Only in production for 2 years, just 10,236 examples were manufactured. Finished in metallic maroon with light stone leather interior, “our” example comes with current V5c which states 3 former keepers, operating handbook, buff log book, expired MOT certificates and many invoices detailing works carried out including one for a full engine rebuild carried out by a respected Jaguar specialist
