Regency gold fob watch by Isaac Pettit, London, the fusee movement with verge escapement, engine turned gold dial in 18ct gold case with cast gold foliate edge, hallmarked London 1822, case 45mm diameter, on an antique 18ct gold curb link watch chain with 1887 gold full sovereign fob.The watch winds smoothly but doesn't appear to run, presumably needs a clean and service. Dial and case in very good condition commensurate with age, the glass is cracked and needs replacing. Watch weighs approximately 70 grams. The chain is in very good condition commensurate with age, each link is individually hallmarked, chain 31cm, weighs approximately 63 grams including the key and sovereign. Total gross weight approximately 135 grams.
William IV 18ct gold pocket watch by John Foster, James St. London, the movement signed snd numbered 19551, with finely engraved engine turned gold disk with applied three-colour gold decoration, cast foliate edging in 18ct gold case with engine turned decoration, hallmarked Chester 1835. Case approximately 50mm.The watch winds and is currently running. Hands adjust correctly. The watch is in very good condition commensurate with age. The cast edge and engine turned decoration is still very crisp. The bow/loop is gilt metal therefore possibly a replacement. A very clean watch. Weighs approximately 92 grams.
