1951 Vincent Comet 500cc motorcycle, registration number YVS 445, purchased by the vendor in the 1980s as a project, including Rapide upper frame member, Comet rear frame and Comet engine, the work was completed c1993 and registered for the road. The vendor allowed his father, a lifelong Vincent enthusiast, to enjoy it for a number of years, the bike returning to him around 5 years ago. In the last 5 years it's been ridden but not as much as the vendor would like, hence being offered for auction. He rode it up from near Chepstow and had a very pleasant run up, it sounded very sweet, rode around the car park very nicely and looks a lovely useable example.
