Gents 18 carat gold pocket watch, gilt dial with engraved floral and engine turned decoration, gilt Roman numerals with a seconds subsidiary dial (with key) We don’t have a key to wind this watch, not sure if working. Hour hand missing. The dial cover has some surface abrasions andlight scratches. Total weight 120grams there are no dents to the case of the watch, only light surface scratches. Back is not thin. Diameter is 5cm. Total gross weight is 120g.
Victorian silver snuff box with moulded floral edge and engine turned decoration. Assay marked Birmingham 1837 by Edward Smith. Inscription reads: 'Presented to Mr Thomas Robertson as a mark of respect, 1st Jan 1841', 143g The snuff box is in very good condition very minor, indentation to the two front corners, small 'smile' between box and cover
A Large Scale Impressive Live Steam Model of a WW1 Style Gun/Torpedo Boat with Removable Three Funnel Superstructure- Wooden hull with lead keel. Simple vertical single cylinder engine driving single propeller. Boiler present. Printed grey over black with pendant No. 044 (which was a WWI private yacht minesweeper). Overall length 100cm. No paperwork.
Wilesco Ref D-32-EL Stationary Steam Plant, the electrically heated boiler is fitted with a 1500 watt element, the boiler is nickel plated and operates a twin cylinder slide valve engine driving a boiler feed pump and line shaft for running implements, also fitted with additional generator and light unit. A control console contains pressure gauge and tachometer with instructions and in original (poor) box. The model appears to have had little use and in very good (slightly grubby) condition.
A 3½ Inch Gauge Live Steam 2-4-0 Steam Locomotive and Eight Wheel Double Bogie Vanderbilt Style Tender, of The American Civil War Period (1861-1865). The chassis with twin outside cylinders, Stephenson's valve gear, "Cow Catcher" etc - The silver soldered copper boiler with pressure gauge, sight glass etc. The engine whilst currently unsteamed carries a boiler certificate (180 psi) dated 12/98. The eight wheel tender with divet work and hand operated feed pump is finished in U.S.M.R.R blue livery. The loco finished in gunmetal and black. Lengths; Loco 23 inch, Tender 15 inch. *The American Civil War was the first war where railroads were a significant factor in moving troops and supplies, The United States military railroad (or U.S.M.R.R) organisation was established to coordinate this new capability for The Union Army, over time they would capture, build or buy some 420 locomotives. Our model has the straight stack associated with a Union coal burner. (balloon stacks were a feature of wood burners).
A 3½ Inch Gauge Live Steam Old Type 4-4-0 American Locomotive and Eight Wheel/Double Bogie Vanderbilt Style Tender, attributed to L.B.S.C's "Virginia" drawings and castings. The chassis with twin outside cylinders and Stephenson's link gear with side valves. Cab fittings include water sight glass etc, but no pressure gauge. The tender fitted with sprung wheels, steps, grab rails plus hand operated feed pump. The model finished overall in gunmetal and black with number 1578 to tender sides, the engine appears un-steamed and requires some work to finish. An inspection will note small components require fitting plus completion of water supply pipe work etc. *There is no boiler certificate or other paperwork, "Virginia", a "Wood USA Burner" was introduced in answer to requests that L.B.S.C should design a real pioneer days type of locomotive, that would capture images of The Old West and Cowboys/Indians. Length's Loco 26inch, Tender 16inch.
