An unusual late 1950’s Ford “Point of Sale” promotional tinplate tractor. A North American market battery powered toy painted in cream with blue chassis. Fitted with a front bucket and rear pivoted arm with bucket. Action via cord to battery pack hand-held control. Action – forward and reverse, front bucket with up and down action. A Japanese produced Saito Y1-1212 twin cylinder steel and brass “Model Steam Engine” (twin vertical steam plant). A unit probably designed to power a steam launch due to its petite size. Two cylinders with connecting rods to single cam, each rod fitted with two brass weights and inlet/exhaust valves. Brass steam pipes fitted to each, both positioned to come from/return to a steam power plant. Single billet flywheel, with power take off to the other end of the cam. All mounted on a brass base with four securing points. Approx 10cm to from top of cylinders to base and overall width 9.5cm including flywheel. VGC probably unused, boxed with Japanese into English instructions.

An aluminium section from an AC Car. Inscribed “Coachwork by A.C. Cars Ltd Thames Ditton Surrey, England” with the stylised “AC” trade mark to the centre. With 10 counter sunk holes to the perimeter, tapered to a radius end. Overall length 53cm. Possibly designed to be positioned to one side of the engine bay to stop any road debris being thrown up. An early George III gold twin cased openfaced pocket watch, the gilt fusee movement with a verge escapement, scroll pierced and engraved balance cock, detailed to the back plate Jas Rawe, London 3861, the inner case, London 1762, the engine turned gilt dial with gilt Roman numerals and with gilt hands, the unmarked outer gold case repousse decorated with figures within borders of floral scrolls, with a hinged black travelling case. Illustrated.
A French gold cased, key wind openfaced, repeating pocket watch, with an unsigned gilt cylinder movement, the gilt metal inner case detailed Mallet, a Paris No 478, the engine turned silvered dial with black Roman numerals and blued steel hands, the case back engine turned, with a repeat button at the top, with a later key.
A Louis Philippe gilt and patinated bronze mounted Rouge Griotte clock garniture, c.1840, the clock surmounted by a reclining young Bacchus, with engine turned dial and two train movement, flanked by a pair of tazza en suite decorated with fruiting vines, and with different bronze mounts, the clock 51.5cm high (key). Illustrated.
