A Japanese produced Saito Y1-1212 twin cylinder steel and brass “Model Steam Engine” (twin vertical steam plant). A unit probably designed to power a steam launch due to its petite size. Two cylinders with connecting rods to single cam, each rod fitted with two brass weights and inlet/exhaust valves. Brass steam pipes fitted to each, both positioned to come from/return to a steam power plant. Single billet flywheel, with power take off to the other end of the cam. All mounted on a brass base with four securing points. Approx 10cm to from top of cylinders to base and overall width 9.5cm including flywheel. VGC probably unused, boxed with Japanese into English instructions.
