Stuart Turner model beam engine, having Watts parellel motion, 1 inch bore x 2 inch stroke with 7 inch diameter flywheel, mahogany lagged cylinder outside steam valve, displacement oiler. The model finnished in green paintwork with polished bright work and vertcial boiler. Boiler needs attention.
19th century model of a beam engine, constructed in polished steel work with turned supporting columns, Watts parellel action, eccentric driven steam valve, extended tin cylinder with brass cup oiler, beam linked water pump, steam control lever, pierced brass supports and bushes. The engine is mounted on a pitch pine base with glazed panels and geometrical decoration, width 63cm, height 53cm.
Approximately 1 inch scale scratch built brass agricultural engine, with spoke flywheel, sight glass, pressure gauge, hand feed pump from tender, trunk guide to single cylinder, displacement oiler. The model finished in polish brass work with red strake wheels and black spoke flywheel with water bozer having hand feed pump and drain cocks, total length 60cm.
Markie 1 inch scale model showmans engine, Prince of Wales having spirit fired boiler, boiler test certificate dated May 1981 working pressure 30-50 p.s.i. This model was manufactured by Farnham engineering company and is No. 40 of limited edition of 100. The model is fitted with trunk crosshead guide, eccentric steam valve, steam pressure gauge, regulator brake to rear wheels and has electric generator with lights fitted to canopy supported on brass olivers and having rubber road tyres fitted to wheels, the model is finely finished in black paintwork with Prince of Wales plumes to bellied water tanks.
2 inch scale model of an Articulated Clayton Undertype wagon, built by Mr. M. Olver, with brazed superheated copper boiler with centre fueling shute and fittings including water and pressure gauges, safety, blower, injector, whistle, clack and blowdown valves. Engine details include twin cylinders with enclosed valve gear and cranks, ratchet operated lubricator, eccentric driven feed pump and by pass and single speed chain drive to rear axle. Chassis details include worm and quadrant operated Ackerman steering, rubber tyred wheels with brass hub caps, working leaf springs, rear axle differential unit, water tank with hand feed pump, whistle, canvas covered planked cab roof with removable rear panel and other details. Trailer details include riveted channel section frame, working leaf springs, rubber tyred wheels with brass hub caps and wooden platform sides and bottom, finished in green and red, Southern Federation of model Engineers Test Certificate valid to 31-1-2006, width 14 inches x length 61 inches.
Finely engineered 2 inch scale model of an Agricultural Engine, scratch built and based on a Clayton and Shuttleworth engine built by the late Ted Hopkinson and his son of James Hopkinson and Sons, Agricultural Engineers of Newark. The engine has a brazed copper boiler with thirty-two tubes and fittings including water gauge, pressure gauge, safety valve, blower, water lifter, clack and blowdown valves. Engine details including twin high pressure cylinders 1 1/8 inch bores, drain cocks and pipes, twin ratchet mechanical lubricators, crosshead guides, Stephenson's link reverse, eccentric driven feed pump and bypass, two road speeds, solid flywheel, other details include spoked straked wheels, worm and roller chain steering, cable drum, fairleads, hand brake, wooden foot board with steps, finished in green and red paintwork, 39 inches and 15 1/2 inches (99cm x 39cm), Collection of stainless steel tools, shovel, bottle jacks and strakes. Complete with glazed case on polished mahogany stand.
