HENRY CLIFFORD DAVIS; a George V hallmarked silver engine turned decorated rectangular cigarette case, the enamelled hinged lid painted with a figural scene outside stables, with mountainous landscape in the background, Birmingham 1913, 8 x 5.5cm, approx 3.5ozt.Additional InformationSurface scratches to the enamel including several major examples, tarnish to the inside and outside, residues of cleaning products, general surface wear to the inside rim where the lid overlaps, also the edge with thumb piece is a bit misshapen.
EDWARD SMITH; a Victorian hallmarked silver combination snuff box/vesta case with overall engine turned decoration and shaped vacant cartouche to the larger of two hinged lids, Birmingham 1850, 5 x 3cm, approx 0.8ozt.Additional InformationThe smaller lid springs back slightly when closed leaving a 1mm gap to the front, the larger lid with minor dints and tiny misshapen to the front edge, other minor dints to the body commensurate with age and usage, also some surface wear such as small areas of rubbing to the engine turned decoration, the small vesta compartment has got a striker to underneath of the lid.
EDWIN JONES; a William IV hallmarked silver rectangular snuff box with engine turned decorated base and hinged lid centred with an initialled cartouche, with ribbed sides and cast thumb piece, Birmingham 1835, with engraved dedication to underneath of the lid dated 1851, 7 x 3.5cm, approx 1.5ozt.Additional InformationAreas of rubbing to the engine turned decoration mainly along the edges and areas of corners, the lid does not sit correctly, it springs up and there is an approximately 1mm gap between where the lid overlaps the base, also two edges of the lid are slightly misshapen and one corner has a dint, numerous tiny dints to edges and sides visible after closer examination, two small splits, rubbing to the corners, areas of tarnish mainly to the inside and the upper rim of the base.
FRANCIS CLARK; a William IV hallmarked silver gilt rectangular snuff box with linear decorated base and hinged lid with engraved initials within engine turned border, with cast foliate scroll edges and ribbed sides, Birmingham 1835, 7 x 4cm, approx 2.1ozt.Additional InformationMinor traces of surface commensurate with age and usage, areas of rubbing to the gilt wash particularly to the thumb piece, tarnish mainly to the incised parts and ribbed sides, also a few spots of pitting to the inside and similar pitting along some of the inside edges, minor residues of cleaning products, the edge of the lid below the thumb piece is slightly misshapen (very small gap where it overlaps the base).
A William IV hallmarked silver snuff box of rectangular form with overall engine turned decoration and cast foliate scroll thumb piece, centred with a crested cartouche to the hinged lid, maker's initials TD, London 1831, 10 x 4 x 3cm, approx 3.7ozt.Additional InformationRubbing to the engine turned decoration, areas of tarnish mainly along the edges and incised parts, rubbing to the crest, the shorter sides of the lid are slightly misshapen but the lid still sits correctly but springs back a little bit, a few areas of dints mainly to the edges, minor surface wear.

STOKES & IRELAND LTD; a Victorian hallmarked silver rectangular snuff box with overall engine turned decoration and cast foliate thumb piece, centred with an initialled circular cartouche to the hinged lid, with an applied striker to the back, Chester 1898, 7 x 3.5cm, approx 2.2ozt.Additional InformationTraces of wear commensurate with age and usage, rubbing to some parts of the engine turned decoration mainly to the lid, tarnish particularly close to the edges and the incised areas, also to the corners of the inside with residues of cleaning products, general areas of surface wear, areas of small dints, mainly to the edges. Striker action later, hallmarks clear, no gilding.

NATHANIEL MILLS; a George III hallmarked silver gilt rectangular vinaigrette with overall engine turned decoration, centred with an applied yellow metal initialled cartouche to the hinged lid enclosing gilt washed interior and a foliate scroll pierced grill, Birmingham 1826, 4.5 x 3cm, approx 1ozt.Additional InformationGenerally in good condition apart from some surface wear such as scratches predominantly to underneath of the lid, also areas of tarnish to the inside, the grill with a dent along the hinge and slightly misshapen to one of the corners but it may be a manufacturing imperfection, with numerous vertical dints to the border of the grill, the lid sits correctly but slightly springs back to one side, gilding intact.
HILLIARD & THOMASON; a Victorian hallmarked silver shaped oval vinaigrette overall engraved with foliate scrolls and centred with initialled cartouche to the hinged lid enclosing gilt grill (hinge af), Birmingham 1882, 3.5 x 2.5cm, and an engine turned decorated rectangular example, Birmingham 1866, 0.8ozt (2)Additional InformationBoth with tarnish throughout, the oval vinaigrette with grill hinge af (the grill is detached along the hinge but fully present) with no other major damage apart from tarnish and pitting to underneath, the same vinaigrette with dirt to the inside, the rectangular vinaigrette with areas of dints mainly to the base, lid slightly misshapen and interior with areas of tarnish.
