2014 Maserati Quattroporte GTS Transmission: automaticMileage:54369Maserati first introduced its four-door car, the Quattroporte, in 1963. The current car is the sixth generation of the model and arrived at market in early 2013. This new model was designed at a special Maserati only department within the Fiat Group Centro Stile design centre, under the guidance of ex-Pininfarina designer Lorenzo Ramaciotti. The model is offered with several engine and transmission options. The flagship version is the GTS and can be distinguished by its trapezoidal exhaust pipes. This GTS version presents extremely well in Nero Ribelle, which is the manufacturer's name for its striking metallic black paintwork. The interior is trimmed in cream leather. This top of the range Maserati features an engine designed and assembled by Ferrari and is a variant of the F154 engine which it shares with the Ferrari 488. When you are behind the wheel it is easy to believe the manufacturer's claim of 523 horsepower in a car that will transport four people in comfort and pace. Purchased by our vendor, from Historics, in July of 2020 to be his UK car it was driven from the auction to his professional storage where it has remained since, the condition of this GTS was described by its then owner as being as good as when it left the factory, and nothing has changed since. Upon the decision to sell the car our owner has had it fully recommissioned and serviced, therefore is once again offered to auction with a full service history, a V5C registration document and a fresh MoT test certificate. This Italian beauty with that amazing engine is available at a fraction of its original cost.

2006 Jaguar XKR Coupé 4.2-S Transmission: automaticMileage:54990The XK8 is a grand tourer car that was launched in 1996 and was the first generation of a new XK series available in either coupé or convertible body styles and with the new 4.0 litre Jaguar AJ-V8 engine. The 1998 XKR was introduced with a supercharged version of the engine. Both the XK8 and XKR are electronically limited to a maximum of 155mph, the top speed of its predecessor, the XJS V12, being 158mph. A navigation system and self-levelling Xenon headlamps came as standard with the XKR with Jaguar's adaptive cruise control as an optional feature available on both models. Both come with all leather interior, burr walnut trim and side airbags. Jeremy Clarkson, during a Top Gear test-drive, likened the interior of the original XK8 to sitting inside Blenheim Palace.Originally registered on 31st March 2006, this XKR coupé presents beautifully in Satin Silver with Charcoal leather interior. This well appointed Jaguar comes with a good service history, the first part being by a main dealer and latterly servicing work has been carried out by Chelsfield Motor Works Ltd. in Orpington, Kent. Clearly this has been a very well looked after example, the paintwork is unmarked and the interior is also in very good order, with the Recaro seats showing minimal signs of wear. The XK8 was a sensation when it arrived at market in 1996 and the supercharged version was and always has been tremendous to drive. This 4.2-S example is no exception, offering smoothness and comfort when in traffic, yet blistering performance when on the open road. Offered for sale with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 25th January 2024, these supercharged Jaguars are surely a classic car of the future.

1927 MG Morris Oxford 14/40 Super Sports Special Transmission: manualMileage:24249Conceived and built in the truest sense of the classic coachbuilt motorcar, this 1927-vintage model uses the chassis, engine and drivetrain from a Morris Oxford as the genesis and inspiration by the previous owner, Beverley Hicks, to create this Super Sports Special, scaled up from a 1928 M-Type, the genesis MG from the Kimber factory. The initial drawings can still be seen in the comprehensive history file as well as the photographic progress of the build. With a beautifully constructed aluminium bonnet and scuttle and a complementing rear fabric-covered boat tail section which houses a stainless steel fuel tank and a surprisingly spacious luggage compartment, this complexly bespoke motorcar was ready for the road in 2003. The smooth 1.8 Litre engine has a Ricardo-type cylinder head, a lightened flywheel, a dyno-driven magneto and a Kenlowe electric fan, all of which are driven through a Morris four-speed gearbox sourced from an MG P-Type. The engine has been completely rebuilt with bills to go with it and has covered few miles since. The interior is trimmed in red leather with custom-made matching carpets alongside a handy double tonneau cover and hood. This sturdy MG-Morris has taken part in numerous competitions and trials with many photographs, magazine cut-outs and entrance forms accompanying the history file. Two brand-new spare tyres and accompanying inner tubes plus regulatory fire extinguisher etc. to make the car VSCC compliant for speed trial/hill climbs accompany the car as well as a file of original design drawings and circuit diagrams. A totally original copy of 'The Morris Oxford & Cowley Car Manual' from 1927, and 'Morris Bullnose & Flatnose 11.9 & 13.9hp Power Units' by Peter Seymour also come with the car. This reliable and VSCC-eligible MG-Morris Oxford Super Sport Special is ready for anything, whether it be a peaceful cruise around the country roads on the weekend or tackling a sodden assault course on a rainy day!

1970 Jaguar E-Type Series II 2+2 Coupé Transmission: manualMileage:69076The Jaguar E-Type Series II Coupé is a classic sports car that has a timeless look and is still highly sought-after. The E-Type was introduced in 1961 and the Series II Coupé was released in 1968. It features a sleek, aerodynamic design with a long bonnet and short rear end. The interior of the car is also very luxurious with leather seats. The powertrain for the E-Type is a 4.2 litre DOHC six-cylinder engine with triple SU carburettors. This engine produces around 220 horsepower and has a top speed of 150mph. The car also features a four-speed manual transmission and a four-wheel independent suspension system. The E-Type has a classic look that has not aged over the years, making it a great classic sports car. The Jaguar is still highly sought-after by collectors and enthusiasts alike due to its timeless design and performance.Originally registered on 5th June 1970, this is a genuine right hand drive, manual gearbox, U.K. supplied E-Type. Finished in gold with black leather trim, this Jaguar has recently had a new head gasket. The rear brakes have also had work carried out and the rear suspension has had new mountings fitted. Further re-commissioning work is still required, however, this is a great project and is probably best described as a rolling restoration. Estimated at a very attractive figure, this Jaguar E-Type 2+2 Coupé offers plenty of potential for capital growth on your investment.

1983 Mercedes-Benz 500 SL Transmission: automaticMileage:185512The Mercedes-Benz SL is a roadster manufactured since 1954 and the designation SL derives from the German 'Sport Liecht' or 'Sport Light' and was first applied to the 300 SL 'Gullwing' named after the upward-opening doors. The term SL-Class refers to the marketing variations of the vehicle, including the numerous engine configurations spanning five design generations. The Mercedes-Benz R107 and C107 automobiles were produced from 1971 through to 1989, being the second longest single series ever produced by the Mercedes-Benz, after the G-Class. The R107 took the chassis components of the mid-size W114 model and mated them to the larger engines from the S-Class (W116). The SL variant was a two seat convertible/roadster with standard soft top, hardtop and optional foldable seats for the rear bench. Volume production of the first R107 car, the 350 SL, started in April 1971 alongside the last of the W113 cars. This Mercedes-Benz 500 SL is a fine example of a classic sports car. Fitted with the superb five litre V8 engine, we are informed the drive is effortless and listening to the 'purr' of the engine enhances the enjoyment of owning such a vehicle. Finished in light metallic blue with contrasting interior and with the desirable hardtop, this car is supplied with a V5C registration document and MoT test certificate valid until December 2023. This fine example can be enjoyed immediately and is ready for the coming summer months.
