An Art Deco 9 carat gold compendium by Alfred Dunhill, hallmarks for London 1931, the canted rectangular case decorated with engine turned bands and plain bevelled edges engraved one side with a centimeter rule (12) the other with inches (4 1/2), with two central hinged covers revealing a cigarette case and an ivory aide memoire, the top right corner with a hinged compartment with a propelling pencil (by S. Mordan & Co., London 1931) and a gold mounted steel folding pen-knife; the top left hand side with a watch, the silvered dial with raised gilt Arabic numerals and a Swiss 17 jewel canted-rectangular movement (the watch housing only with import hallmarks for London 1931 and numbered 22648), the watch within a hinged compartment enclosing a spring loaded twin section stamp holder; the bottom left with a hinged compartment housing a lighter, 12cm x 8cm x 1cm overall.
