1985 Ford Escort XR3i Transmission: manual Mileage: 34599Launched in March 1986, with only a small number of changes over its predecessor, optional new features included a mechanical anti-lock braking system (standard on RS Turbo models), a fuel computer on fuel-injected models and a heated windscreen. These changes were welcome at a time when the Escort was faced with a host of new competitors; General Motors had brought out a new version of the Vauxhall Astra 18 months earlier, shortly after Volkswagen had introduced the Mk. II Golf. As well as an all-new interior, a new derivative of the CVH engine was introduced, as well as numerous suspension tweaks to address the long-standing criticisms of the Escort's handling and ride quality.Originally registered on 1st August 1985 this XR3i is finished in red with grey velour interior. The coachwork is in good order and shows no sign of corrosion. The engine burst into life when requested and we are advised she drives with no known faults. With only two former keepers, the current registered keeper has owned her since March 2008, clearly this has been a well-cared for example throughout its life. The mileage of 34,599 is thought to be correct although not warranted, the condition is certainly commensurate with such a low mileage example. Sitting proud, sounding great and looking superb, this Escort XR3i is supplied with a V5C registration document, a full year’s MoT test certificate, together with some invoices, this is an opportunity to purchase one of Dagenham’s finest models. Interested parties should note that the dashboard on this vehicle has some sun damaged and will require replacing.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1970 Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce Transmission: manual Mileage: 30601The first of Alfa Romeo’s Bertone styled coupés, the 1.6 litre Giulia Sprint GT, was launched in 1963. Mechanically the stylish new 2+2 was much the same as the Giulia TI sports saloon, featuring a five-speed manual gearbox, independent front suspension, coil-spring live rear axle and disc brakes all round. A 1300 model, the GT Junior, arrived in 1966 and the range was further extended the following year by the launch of the 1750 GTV, the latter powered by a 1,799cc, 118bhp version of Alfa’s classic twin-cam, four-cylinder engine, in a four-headlight version of the existing bodyshell running on 14-inch wheels. A short lived but nevertheless popular model, the 1750 GTV underwent a minor mechanical and styling revision part way through production before being replaced by the 2000 version in 1972. More powerful than the 1600 but sweeter running than the 2000, the 1750 is the choice of the Alfa Romeo enthusiast who knows their GTVs. Driver’s cars par excellence in the Alfa tradition, Bertone’s timelessly elegant Giulia coupés are among the most exciting sports saloons of the 1960s and today all versions are highly sought after. This lovely, rare, right hand drive Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce is in very good condition throughout. A condition report written for a previous owner in 1998 tells of the body being restored and new wings fitted. Supplied new with Webasto sunroof with a very rare deflector, a clock and outside temperature gauge. This 1750 GTV has been very well maintained, and no expense spared by the two previous owners over the last 24 years. The car is finished in Biancospino with black interior and comes supplied with a UK V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in December 2021, a large history file containing invoices from Alfa specialist Gran Turismo, Andrew Thorogood and Titus Rowlandson of Victory Garage showing all the work carried out since 1998, old MoT’s dating back to 1996, the early condition report and an article relating to the Alfa GTV. The current owner has just had the Alfa Romeo GT Junior rubber over rugs fitted to protect the carpets, he also reports that everything works on the car. This represents a rare opportunity for an Alfa Romeo enthusiast to own one of these eminently collectible models.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1988 Vegantune Evante Series 1 Transmission: manual Mileage: 33450Renowned worldwide for its successful racing engines, the Spalding-based firm of VeganTune diversified into car making in the early 1980s with the Lotus Elan-inspired Evante, a separate company - Evante Cars Ltd - being set up to handle its manufacture. Although Elan-like in appearance, the glassfibre-bodied Evante employed a stronger, tubular-steel spaceframe chassis rather than the Lotus’s backbone type and was powered by VeganTune’s own Ford-based VTA twin-cam engine. Producing 170bhp and 140lb/ft of torque from its 1.7 litres, this engine, with its belt-driven camshafts and accessible water pump, was reckoned much easier to maintain than the Lotus version. Only produced to individual customer order, the Evante failed to weather the late 1980s recession. After only a limited number had been made, the operation was sold to a consortium of Spalding businessmen, which continued production of the Evante 140TC. In the autumn of 1992, Evante was sold to another specialist vehicle manufacturer – Newark-based Fleur De Lys Automobile Manufacturing Limited – which re-engineered the chassis to accept the 1.8 litre Ford Zetec 16 valve engine. This rare example of this British sports car is presented in Metallic Blue with blue leather interior with attractive Walnut dashboard. The car has had just four owners from new, the last one keeping the car from 1997 to 2021. It was sent back to Vegantune main agent at 20,000 miles and was fully upgraded to Series 2 Sprint specification. This included new upgraded bearings and pistons, reworked big valve head and camshafts, twin 45mm twin choke carburettors, new stainless steel exhaust and upgraded Spax adjustable coil over shock absorbers. The car also benefits from a new hood and comes with its tonneau covers which are in good condition. There are two history folders accompanying the car with specification sheets, old MoTs and receipts for work carried out. It will be fully recommissioned by the present owner prior to auction which will include a full engine service and tune, brakes overhaul and a new MoT test certificate will be supplied. It is powered by the lively and great sounding 1700cc Twin Cam engine which provides exciting performance with great handling to match.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1976 Jaguar XJ6 Series II (3.4 litre) Transmission: automatic Mileage: 45542The first XJ was launched in 1968, a designation which has been used for successive Jaguar flagship models ever since and was also the last Jaguar saloon to have had the input of Sir William Lyons, the company's founder. The XJ6, using 2.8 litre and 4.2 litre straight six-cylinder versions of Jaguar's renowned XK engine, replaced most of Jaguar's saloons which, in the 1960s, had expanded to four separate ranges. Power-assisted steering and leather upholstery were standard on the 2.8 litre De Luxe and 4.2 litre models. An unusual feature, inherited from the Jaguar Mk. X and S-Type, was the provision of twin fuel tanks positioned on each side of the boot and filled using two separately lockable filler caps. This super stylish Jaguar was originally registered on 15th April 1976. The car appears to be in good all round condition showing no real signs of corrosion in all the usual places. As a base model 3.4 litre Jaguar, this car was fitted with automatic transmission as a factory option. The velour trim was standard and indeed shows very little sign of wear. Wind-up windows are still on the car; electric windows were an expensive cost option on this model. We are advised by the vendor she drives well; these Series II examples are full of character and charm. Offered for sale without reserve.Guide price £9,000-£12,000 Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1968 Sunbeam Alpine Series V Transmission: manual Mileage: 129519The Sunbeam Alpine was launched in 1953 as the first vehicle from Sunbeam-Talbot to bear the Sunbeam name alone, since the 1935 takeover of Sunbeam and Talbot by the Rootes Group. Ken Howes and Jeff Crompton were tasked with doing a complete redesign of the Alpine in 1956 with the goal of producing a dedicated sports car aimed principally at the US market. The Series V Alpine was produced from 1965 through to 1968, the final version having a new five-bearing, 1725cc engine with twin Zenith-Stromberg semi-downdraught carburettors producing 93bhp.This particular example is presented in traditional Old English White with a black interior and a black manual folding hood. The car sits on a set of Minilite wheels and the interior enjoys a walnut dashboard, wood steering wheel and its lively 1725cc engine is mated to a four-speed gearbox. This is the last in the series of these highly popular and pretty little British sports cars and are a delight to drive. This example is offered at no reserve and we are sure will be huge amounts of fun for the new owner.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1961 Jaguar Mk. II (2.4 Litre) Transmission: manual Mileage: 63000Synonymous with the swinging ‘60’s and the hit TV series, Inspector Morse, the Jaguar Mk. II saloon has been used as a vehicle to transport everyone from dignitaries and politicians to bank robbers and the criminal select. Desirable due to being a well-balanced saloon car with space for four adults and a good size boot, it also boasted engine options including the mighty Jaguar 3.8 litre power unit; small wonder it became popular as a getaway vehicle. When released, traditional Jaguar buyers had no need to feel alienated by the new offering from Coventry as the interior was up to their usual standards with leather and walnut being the order of the day. With 112bhp available, the 2.4 was not overly burdened with pace so, importantly, coupled to a manual gearbox with overdrive it would be the more frugal of the range but give the driver the ability to utilise the full range of the 2.4 engine.Presented in the splendid colour combination of British Racing Green over a green leather interior, this lovely Mk. II has been part of a private collection for some years. Offered in generally very good order throughout, the paintwork is bright and shows very few blemishes as does the interior, the seats show a light patina and the wood dashboard is well. The history file that accompanies the car includes numerous receipts and MoT test certificates as well as the current V5 registration document and an old style buff logbook. The vendor reports that this smartly presented example runs and drives well and we believe it is offered at a very attractive estimate indeed. Interested parties should note this vehicle is listed on HPI as a category D Insurance loss dated 29th April 2001.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1968 Daimler 250 V8 Saloon Transmission: automatic Mileage: 70358This example of Daimler’s 1960’s line-up utilised the powerful 2.5 litre, V8 engine made famous in the 250SP. This model range, launched in 1962, was effectively a rebadged Mk. II but the engine was a silky-smooth power plant mated to a standard automatic gearbox. It was tested by Britain's Autocar magazine in 1966 having a top speed of 112mph. Other differences include a Daimler fluted grille, rear number plate surround, wheel trims, badges and interior details. In 1967, it was renamed the V8-250 and differed in relatively small details such as sleek, slimline bumpers and overriders, an alternator instead of a dynamo and twin air cleaners; one for each carburettor. Other new features included padding over the instrument panel and reclining split-bench front seats.Originally leaving the Brown’s Lane factory in November 1968 painted in classic Jaguar red, this Daimler was then repainted in 1998 in the current and striking maroon colour you see today. Sitting on original steel wheels, this late model example complete with spats and slim-line chrome bumpers, presents with complementary tan leather interior, and walnut door cappings and dashboard. The chromework requires some attention and viewing is recommended prior to bidding.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1996 Jaguar XJS 4.0 Celebration Coupé Transmission: automatic Mileage: 130540  During this impressive 21 year build run 115,413 units of the impressive XJS were built by the Coventry manufacturer. The longevity of the model is a tribute to its design and performance. 1991 saw some re-engineering to the model which included amendments to the rear window a new 4.0 litre version of the AJ16 engine and more aerodynamic front and rear bumpers. This example was first registered on 4th March 1996. Presented in generally very good condition, this Jaguar has benefitted from various maintenance work in recent times including a diamond cutting refurbishment of the alloy wheels undertaken by Bespoke Auto Developments of Congleton. Other works completed in recent years include new front brake discs and pads, extensive cleaning and refurbishment of the leather upholstery and a fresh exhaust tail pipe finisher. The interior is in good order, the wood veneers remain in good order complementing the tan leather and oatmeal carpets; both the air conditioning and heater appear to work well.Included in the history file is a comprehensive service record with all the original handbooks present, many old MoT test certificates, various sundry invoices, and the V5 registration document. 1966 Mercedes-Benz 250 S Transmission: automatic Mileage: 23622Premiered at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 1965, the initial model lineup of the W108 consisted of the 250 S, 250 SE and 300 SE, as well as a sole W109, the 300 SEL. Engines for the new car were carried over from the previous generation, but enlarged and refined. The 250 S was the entry-level vehicle fitted with a 2496cc straight-six M108 engine, with two dual downdraft carburettors, delivering 130 bhp at 5400 rpm which accelerated the car from standstill to 62 mph in 13 seconds and gave a top speed of 113 mph. Approximately 130,000 of the 250 S/SE models were built during the first two years of the W108/109's existence.Bill Wyman, founder member of The Rolling Stones, purchased this classic 'stacked headlamp' Mercedes-Benz 250 S Saloon and it was delivered to him on Monday 22nd August 1966. This was the first Mercedes with curved black windows. Although Mercedes-Benz had rejected Bill's order for black windows, a company in West London removed the 250's windows, they were curved not flat, took a mould and commissioned Pilkington to make special glass to fit. Then of course I got stopped all the time, Bill recalls. Though the police usually just wanted to see who was in it. Bill used the car frequently until 1969, when The Rolling Stones were not in the studio or touring, to help relax; being a keen photographer he would drive around the country taking photographs. After selling her in 1969 and purchasing a number of other Mercedes-Benz along the way, he purchased the car back in 1991 from a lady in Bury St. Edmunds, sadly the car was in poor condition. Having a real soft spot for this 250 S, Mr. Wyman commissioned a restoration project in 1997 which was undertaken by Tony Davey, a classic car specialist with a good reputation and vast knowledge. After the restoration, KYM 585D was stored as part of Bill Wyman’s private collection and was subsequently sold in June 2015.Still in good order throughout, this Mercedes-Benz benefits from owners that have loved and cherished her. These ‘stacked headlamp’ models are extremely handsome and highly sought after, particularly in this condition and with such an interesting history. Supplied with a V5C registration document, together with confirmation of Bill Wyman’s ownership, this Mercedes-Benz 250 S is offered for sale at a realistic estimate given the restoration cost of such an example.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1983 Porsche 928 S Transmission: automatic Mileage: 71047These fabulous sports cars were unveiled at the Geneva Salon in 1977 and voted Car of the Year for 1978. It was intended as an upmarket replacement for the long-running 911 but in the event Porsche's rear-engined classic would outlive its younger sibling. The front-engined 928's stylish hatchback body featured aluminium doors, bonnet and front wings in the interests of weight saving, while ingenious impact resistant 'bumpers' made of colour matched plastic were incorporated into the nose and tail. A five speed transaxle gearbox or three speed automatic were the transmission options, in 1980 the 928S with its 4.7 litre engine arrived and then in 1986 the model was further revised and restyled, becoming the 928 S4. Its engine producing 320bhp courtesy of twin-cam, 16 valve cylinder heads and enlargement to 4,957cc, the S4 enjoyed a welcome top speed boost to 160mph.The car was originally supplied by Charles Follet Ltd of 18 Berkeley Street, London W1 and registered on 3rd March 1983 to Mr. Peter Bowles of Castlenau, London. This very low mileage automatic transmission example presents well in silver with contrasting blue leather upholstery. The car comes with its original Porsche wallet containing the drivers manual, service guide and the all important maintenance record, which is well stamped with a combination of main agent and specialist services. Offered to auction with a V5c registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until March 2022 viewing of this handsome example is encouraged. The popularity of these Porsches has increased over recent years and rightly so. 2004 Mercedes-Benz E320T V6 Estate Avantgarde Transmission: automatic Mileage: 20300The 2003 E-Class was larger than its predecessors while offering less interior space, particularly in the estate version, than the W210 it replaced. It offered petrol or diesel engines with a choice of rear or 4-wheel drive. The redesigned 2003 model featured electrohydraulic braking system marketed as Sensotronic Brake Control (SBC), which was standard equipment in the E-Class. Options included multicontour front seats and dual control air suspension system marketed as Airmatic DC. The 2003 E-Class was offered in saloon and five door estate car configuration in three trim lines; Classic, Elegance and Avantgarde. The transmission options were five or seven speed automatic or six speed manual. V6, V8, inline four and supercharged inline four cylinder engines were offered. This absolutely superb example is presented in silver with black interior. This Mercedes-Benz comes with air conditioning with climate control, cruise control, electric memory front seats, electric glass sunroof, CD changer and electric folding mirrors. Its meagre mileage from new of 20,300 is guaranteed and its condition is totally commensurate with this. This surely must be one of the best examples of this terrific ‘work horse’ from the German manufacturer and its smooth V6 petrol engine is a joy.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1969 Mercedes-Benz 600 SWB Transmission: automatic Mileage: At one point in time, Mercedes-Benz built, arguably, the finest luxury automobiles in the world. In its post-war recovery, they shifted focus towards more practical family saloons, followed by cars of a more sporting nature. By the early 1960s, however, Rudolf Uhlenhaut felt the time had come for Mercedes-Benz to re-establish itself as a builder of ultra-premium models, ones where, in his words, “costs were of secondary importance.” The impressive Mercedes 600 was born with its unconditional hydraulic system that operated the windows, power seats, sunroof, doors, boot, suspension damping and ventilation system. While lesser vehicles used electric motors to regulate many of these functions, the Mercedes-Benz engineers believed that if cost was not an object, hydraulic systems, would be smoother, quieter and longer-lasting.This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a Mercedes-Benz 600 in need of extensive restoration. Imported from Connecticut USA, this Mercedes comes with a completed NOVA application and UK taxes paid. The bodywork and interior are largely complete and the vendor reports that the engine turns. A solid base for restoration, this 600 comes with many original panels and parts and we are sure would make for a very rewarding project for the new custodian.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1987 Porsche 928 S4 Transmission: automatic Mileage: 113408Originally intended to replace the company's iconic 911, the 928 attempted to combine the power, poise and handling of a sports car with the refinement, comfort and equipment of a luxury saloon. The body, styled by Wolfgang Möbius under guidance of Anatole Lapine, was mainly of galvanised steel but the doors, bonnet and boot were made of aluminium to save weight. Polyurethane elastic bumpers were integrated into the nose and tail and covered in body-coloured plastic; an unusual feature for the time that was intended as both a styling feature and to reduce drag. In 1980, the 928S was introduced with a larger 4.7 litre engine and wider wheels and tyres, whilst in 1987, the engine displacement was further increased to 4957cc with the introduction of the now highly desirable 928 S4.This well presented example showing 113,408 on the odometer is offered in good condition and is one of the most sought after models of this iconic ‘yuppie’ car of the 1980s. Superb to look at from every angle, the howl of its powerful five litre V8 mated to its transmission is a triumph of German engineering and exciting to drive both on country roads and relaxing on longer journeys. Recently the 928 has been serviced and has had an extensive respray and as such looks fantastic. 1959 Austin Healey Sprite Mk. I ‘Frogeye’ Transmission: manual Mileage: 56123The Austin Healey Sprite is a small, open sports car which was announced to the press in Monte Carlo on 20th May 1958, just before the Monaco Grand Prix. It was intended to be a low-cost model that 'a chap could keep in his bike shed' yet be the successor to the sporting versions of the pre-war Austin Seven. The Sprite was designed by the Donald Healey Motor Company which received a royalty payment from the manufacturers, BMC. It first went on sale at a price of £669, using a mildly tuned version of the Austin A-Series engine and many other components from existing cars to keep costs down. The little Sprite quickly became affectionately known as the 'Frogeye'. The 43bhp, 948cc engine was upgraded with twin 1 1/8” SU carburettors. The rear axle was both located and sprung by quarter-elliptic leaf springs, again with lever-arm shock absorbers. There were no exterior door handles; the driver and passenger were required to reach inside to open the door. There was also no boot lid and access to the spare wheel and luggage compartment was achieved by tilting the seat-backs forward and reaching under the rear deck. This superb Sprite has been extensively restored to a good standard and as such presents in fabulous condition. The light blue coachwork is unblemished as is the interior. The hood is new and the car has been very well trimmed inside. Upon turning the key the engine fires up immediately and we are advised this ‘Frogeye’ drives every bit as good as she looks. These fabulous cars are remarkably simple and can be taken care of by any reasonably competent DIY mechanic. Parts are easy to obtain as the cars are well supported by the various owner’s clubs. Always popular when they come to market, examples as good as this will always create additional interest in the auction arena. 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Transmission: automatic Mileage: 136701969 was the benchmark year for Ford Mustang in its proliferation of performance names and engines. No fewer than six factory performance Mustang models were available. Additionally, seven variations of V8s were available in the 1969/1970 models, most of these also available in the new Mach 1. The Mach 1 started with a V8 powered ‘Sportsroof’ body and added numerous visual and performance enhancing items. Standard on Mach 1’s was a fierce but cosmetic hood scoop that had integrated turn-signal lights mounted in the back. A more functional option was the signature ‘shaker hood’, an air scoop mounted directly to the top of the motor, used to collect fresh air and so named for its tendency to ‘shake’ above the rumbling V8 below. The interior came complete with teak wood grain details, full sound deadening material and high-back sport bucket seats. This powerful genuine, 1970 code 05 Mustang Mach 1 351 Cleveland Auto was restored about 15 years ago with a total strip down and repaint in metallic blue over tan interior. The car had benefitted from an engine rebuild a few years earlier and features an Edelbrock alloy inlet. The list of enhancements includes an upgraded exhaust system, power disc brakes, chrome Mach 1 wheels and plenty of polished parts under the bonnet. The interior is in good condition with a sportsdeck folding rear seat, centre console and a wood rimmed steering wheel. When we fired the car up the noise was as impressive as the looks of this car and we are told she is a joy to drive. 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible Transmission: automatic Mileage: 12766The Chevrolet Camaro was General Motors’ response to the highly successful Ford Mustang pony car. The first Camaro that appeared on sale in September 1966 was a 2+2 two door available with a coupé or convertible body, sharing the chassis and many other parts from the Pontiac Firebird. A wide range of engine options included six and eight cylinder derivatives, from the base model 230ci straight six to the 427ci V8 big block. With a staggering fourteen different power plants available, buyers were not short of choice when selecting their engine! The Camaro had sold well after its introduction and by 1969 was extremely popular; with revised styling the car looked meaner than the earlier models with an aggressive grille, slightly squarer body panels, and squared-off rear wheel arches. The nose was restyled utilising the Rally Sport grille package, with partially see through headlight covers that rotated to reveal the headlights whilst the rear of the car used new multi-sectioned tail lights. The interior was similar to the 1967/68 models but featured a new dashboard fitted with square-shaped instruments. The console remained the same as 1968 but it received a redesigned main instrument panel with the two main pods squared off instead of rounded as in earlier models. If a tachometer was purchased separately, the fuel gauge was relocated to the small centre dash pod normally reserved for the clock, the first time this option was available on a Camaro. This Camaro SS convertible is offered in the desirable and rare colour combination of Hugger orange with Opalescent white interior and black carpets and comes with extras including power steering and power brakes. It was imported to the UK in 2015 from Arizona having had various works carried out prior to import. Disc brakes were fitted all round along with adjustable shock absorbers, a full stainless steel exhaust system, Boyd Coddington alloy wheels and a Kicker stereo system with Bluetooth connectivity. The car is fitted with a 12 bolt positraction rear end, the rare tick tock tach and centre console with four dials, and an electric hood. Presented in good order throughout, the paintwork and chromework both retain a deep shine and the interior is just as good. The vendor reports that this Camaro drives well and sounds fantastic when on song, attracting attention wherever it goes. Offered with the owner’s manual, sales brochure and a current UK V5C registration document.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1930 Alvis Silver Eagle Transmission: manual Mileage: Historically, one of Coventry’s finest motor manufacturers, the Alvis Car Company had raced sporadically; first extraordinarily fast side-valve cars at Brooklands then the legendary 12/50 in 1928, the most ambitious eight-cylinder Grand Prix car. But due to ever changing times and circumstances that usually prevail throughout history, no great successes were forthcoming. It’s ironic that in 1927, the six-cylinder Silver Eagle engine had arrived in 1800cc format, an advanced and well-designed unit possessing considerable potential and with the sound principles and approach, the company had always displayed. It is a tragedy that the company weren’t able to grasp and capitalise, on a competition basis, using this most exciting format because the unit was simply fitted into the very lightweight 12/50 platform chassis. With the removable front cross member utilising a fine gearbox and sitting amidships providing favourable weight distribution, like all Alvis’s, the components were beautifully engineered. This delightful example was rescued circa 2005 having been stood since 1967 and, as to be expected, the car was in a pretty poor state. The owner at the time wanted to build a VSCC competition car and chassis number 12898 seemed the ideal project. It took four years to build into the car it is today. When it came to the engine, he enlisted the help of Peter Lings, a well-respected engineer. The original castings and crankshaft were utilised. Internally she was completely rebuilt and a dry oil sump system fitted, the engine has been dyno tested at an impressive 144bhp. Fuel is supplied via three H4 SU carburettors and a four-branch exhaust system was also fitted. The flywheel has been lightened and close ratio gears ensure quicker gear changes. The chassis has been shortened to nine feet, the front axle has been lightened and new king pins were fitted. Clearly this is a very well built example and is competitive within its class. The current vendor has enjoyed many a weekend on the track in this Silver Eagle. Supplied with a V5C registration document this Alvis is road legal and draws admirers wherever she appears.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1965 Ford Mustang GT Fastback Transmission: manual Mileage: 36379The Mustang GT version was introduced as the ‘GT Equipment Package’ and included a V8 engine and included grille-mounted fog lamps, rocker-panel stripes, bumper exit exhausts and disc brakes. In the interior, the GT option added a different instrument panel that included a speedometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge and amp meter in five round dials. A four-barrel carburettor engine was available with any body style. Additionally, reverse lights were an option added to the car from August 1964 production. The Mustang was originally available as either a hardtop or convertible, but during the car's early design phases a fastback model was strongly considered.First registered on 1st January 1965, this early Fastback GT presents beautifully. As a suffix ‘A’ car, it was built in the San Jose, California plant, where it is believed to have spent most of its life. This is certainly very plausible given the incredible condition of the car’s bodywork; it is incredibly solid with no signs of rust or corrosion anywhere. The vendor had the two front floor pans replaced when they first showed the earliest signs of corrosion and also had the fuel tank replaced as a matter of course, all with genuine Ford parts, but otherwise the car hasn’t needed any further attention other than general maintenance. Meticulous in his nature, the vendor was determined to find a correct GT, one that was ordered from new as a manual 289 Windsor V8 and not one that had had a later six-cylinder to V8, or automatic to manual conversion. He subsequently spent two and a half years searching the globe for the right car before settling on this one, then in Mallorca. After some drawn out negotiations, he finally secured the car and brought it back to the UK. He has owned and cherished the car for the past twelve years and is only selling, reluctantly, to fund a house move, despite all his best efforts to not have to! Boasting the rare option of factory fitted air conditioning, this car is a true GT in its original colours of Raven black with black interior, with the only known modifications being a Holley carburettor, Edelbrock intake manifold, American racing alloy wheels, (as seen on many Shelby Mustangs), and a Magnaflow exhaust system.Supplied with its V5C registration document, original Mustang handbook, maintenance manuals and a well presented history file, the car sounds incredible and drives just as well. A rare opportunity to own a rare car that, if it were not for an imminent house purchase, would not be for sale.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2004 BMW M3 Convertible Transmission: manual Mileage: 99807The E46 BMW M3 was previewed at the German Motor Show in 1999 as a concept, although the actual car when manufactured bore a very close resemblance when it was introduced in October 2000. Only available as coupé or convertible the M3 was offered with a five-speed Getrag gearbox or a SMG drive logic transmission. The E46 M3 was full of electronic gadgetry, which included driver aids such as dynamic stability control, cornering brake control and a limited slip differential. With a reported top speed of 155mph and 0-60mph in 5.1 seconds, the M3 certainly lived up to its name and did not disappoint!Originally registered on 25th June 2004 this BMW presents in good order throughout. The silver paintwork is virtually unmarked and the grey leather interior is also in good order. The black hood is new and has hardly been used. The engine started immediately when requested and sounded very much ‘on-song’, clearly this E46 has been very well cared for. Fitted with the desirable manual gearbox, this M3 convertible is a great car to drive. Supplied with a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until 23rd March 2022 and offered without reserve, this high specification BMW could well be one for the future. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1967 Alfa Romeo Spider 1600 Duetto Transmission: manual Mileage: 52747The Alfa Romeo Spider 1600, to give it its official factory name, was manufactured during 1966 and 1967. The name 'Duetto' came about from a competition held by Alfa Romeo to distinguish the car from its Giulia 105 series stable mates, the Coupé and Berlina, and was accepted for its reference to the two-seat layout. The Duetto name only applied to the 1600 model; two later variants, with different engine sizes, were the 1750 Velocé and 1300 Junior. All of the models are commonly known today as roundtail spiders. These advanced motor cars were fitted, as standard, with twin cam engines, five-speed gearboxes and disc brakes on all four wheels.Offered here is a unique opportunity to bring back to its former glory a rare and beautiful genuine 1967 Duetto Spider. First registered on 25th May 1967, the car was fully restored in the mid 70’s by the previous owner Mr. Frank Pollock who, after enjoying the car extensively, sold it on to the vendor in 1988. The car was a concours winner no less than six times between 1981 and 1992 and amazingly, much of its concours documentation remains within the car’s history file including scoring sheets, entries and pictures. Also included in the beautifully presented history file are photos of the bare metal restoration along with virtually all its tax discs and MoT certificates between 1977 and when the car was laid up in 1998. Several publications featuring the car are also supplied with the car, including a copy of Classic and Sports Car magazine from September 1984 with the car on the front cover and included in a five page article on the Spider models. Some may question how such a beautifully presented car, with two such fastidious long term owners, could fall into such disrepair. The story, an all too familiar one, is that the car, was put into the vendor’s garage, along with a Sprint Speciale (also featured in this auction), when he started spending more time working abroad. As his career blossomed, time flew by and unbeknown to him a tree branch fell and broke a hole through his garage’s roof. Further deterioration followed until the cars found themselves in their current state. Upon close inspection however, the cars appear to be in better condition than an initial glance might lead one to believe. The cellulose paint has survived very well overall, with both the boot and engine bay presenting very well. The interior, with some very rare elements, on the whole is salvageable, despite clearly needing a new hood.Supplied with its V5C logbook, original service book, instruction book, toolkit, history file, tax discs, MoT test certificates, magazine articles, restoration photos, concours history and many Alfa Romeo Owners Club magazines. This beautiful and most desirable of Spiders is complete and offers a rare opportunity for someone to put their own stamp on and to extend the previously illustrious life of this lovely little Alfa.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1993 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo 2 Transmission: manual Mileage: 87748The Lancia Delta was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1979 and is best known for its domination of the World Rally Championship in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Constantly being developed, the first 'Evolution' cars were built at the end of 1991 and carried on through 1992; these models were the final homologation cars built for the Lancia Rally Team competing under the Martini Racing banner. In June 1993, the second 'Evolution' version of the Delta HF Integrale featured an updated version of the two litre, 16 valve turbo engine to produce more power and torque, now developing 215 PS (against 210 PS on the earlier un-catalytic version). The 1993 Integrale received a cosmetic and functional facelift that included 16 light alloy rims with 205/45 ZR 16 tyres, body colour roof moulding to underline the connection between the roof and the solar tinted windows, aluminium fuel cap and air-intake grilles on the front mudguards, red colour coded cam cover, leather-covered three-spoke Momo steering wheel and Recaro seats upholstered in tan alcantara with diagonal stitching. With these upgrades, the Evo 2 Integrale is considered by many as the most desirable version to own.We are pleased to offer this splendid 1993 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo 2 presented in Lord Blue with contrasting tan alcantara interior. The striking coachwork is in excellent order throughout whilst on the inside, the quality continues with especially excellent factory high-back seats. The condition supports the recorded mileage as 87,748km, which equates to approximately 54,524 miles. Originally supplied to Japan, this Evo 2 comes with extensive Japanese history up until its importation into the UK in 2011. This fabulous Lancia has been well maintained which is confirmed by the excellent way this motorcar drives and presents itself. The history file is complete with the Japanese records of servicing, UK invoices, a UK V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate which expires in June 2021. Examples such as this beautifully presented and well maintained Lancia Delta Evo 2 are hard to find and we feel that, given these factors, this Lancia is offered with a very keen estimate.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1972 MG B GT Transmission: manual Mileage: 94877The MGB was launched in May 1962 to replace the MGA. Introduced as a four-cylinder roadster, a coupé with 2+2 seating was added in 1965 with production continuing until October 1980. The MGB GT sported a ground-breaking design by Pininfarina with the launch of its sporty 'hatchback' style. By combining the sloping rear window with the rear deck lid, the GT offered the utility of a hatchback while retaining the style and shape of a coupé. Acceleration of the GT was slightly slower than that of the roadster due to its increased weight although top speed was improved by 5mph to 105mph due to better aerodynamics. This example has been subject to an extensive restoration over the past fourteen years. Presented in very good condition the paintwork, interior, and engine bay are all in wonderful order. Benefitting from various desirable upgrades the MG is fitted with a big valve cylinder head and a rare aluminium bonnet and has been subject to an extensive engine rebuild including new piston rings and crankshaft bearings as well as a thorough brake overhaul. The suspension system and wire wheels have also been renewed and a stainless-steel exhaust system, new clutch, and new starter motor were also fitted at this time. The vendor reports that the MG runs and drives very well indeed and sounds superb when on song. Having had just five owners from new the MGB is offered with many invoices and photographs detailing the restoration, previous MoT test certificates, and the current UK registration document. Offered at no reserve we are sure this wonderful example will be huge amounts of fun for its new custodian.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1958 Jaguar XK150 SE Roadster Transmission: manual Mileage: Although having a family resemblance to the XK120 and XK140, the XK150 was radically modernised. A one-piece windscreen replaced the split screen and the wing line no longer dropped as much over the doors. The bonnet was widened, opened down to the wings and on the roadster the bulkhead was moved back four inches to make the bonnet longer. In the interior, the XK140's walnut dashboard was replaced by one trimmed in leather. On the early drophead coupés, an aluminium centre dash panel with an X pattern engraving was fitted which looked similar to the early 3.8 E-Type. It was discontinued after June 1958. Thinner doors gave more interior space. The standard engine, the same as fitted to the XK140, was the 3.4 litre DOHC Jaguar straight-six rated at 180bhp at 5750rpm but most cars were fitted with the SE engine that had a modified cylinder head with larger exhaust valves rated at 210bhp at 5500rpm. Twin 1 ¾ inch SU HD6 carburettors were fitted. Four-wheel Dunlop 12” disc brakes appeared for the first time although it was theoretically possible to order a car with drums. Either wire wheels or disc wheels could be specified. Suspension and chassis were very similar to that on the XK140. These were high performance, well-appointed sports touring cars and could cope with long distances with alacrity. This superb example of the highly desirable SE derivative of this British classic is finished in iconic British Racing Green with green leather interior. The present owner has recently spent between £50,000 and £70,000 on its restoration which includes new leather interior, new hood and carpets to name a few of the extensive list of items which have been restored on this fabulous sports car. Its refreshed 3.4 litre engine is mated to a five-speed Getrag gearbox and performs strongly as expected and indeed as it should. This Jaguar wants for nothing and looks resplendent in its new paint colour. The history file contains photos of its restoration and includes the Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate which confirms that it is a matching numbers car sold by Jaguar Cars, New York in September 1958. A stunning SE Roadster which has just completed a meticulous restoration and really does have to be seen to be appreciated.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1988 Jaguar XJS Convertible Transmission: automatic Mileage: 16404In 1975, the Jaguar E-Type finally gave way to an all new and more efficient Jaguar, the Jaguar XJS. This new luxury grand tourer, although never quite having the same sporting image as the E-Type, was actually more aerodynamic with the final example leaving the production line on 4th April 1996. At that stage, 115,413 units had been manufactured during a 21 year production life. Power came from the Jaguar V12 engine with a choice of a manual or automatic transmission although the manual gearbox was soon dropped. V12 engine cars were unusual at the time with notable exceptions coming from Italian luxury sports car makers Lamborghini and Ferrari. The specifications of the XJS compared well with both Italian cars; it was able to accelerate to 60mph in 7.6 seconds and had a top speed of 143mph.This XJS V12 Convertible is presented in Satin Beige metallic with Barley hide and has incredibly low mileage from new. Also boasting low ownership, the first custodian kept the car until he sadly passed in 1998 when title was transferred to his widow who kept the car in long term storage for sentimental reasons. Old MoT certificates show that in 1996 the car had covered just 11,958 miles and by the time it went into storage a year or so later, the mileage had only increased to 14,214 miles. In June 2007 the car was then sold and recommissioned by the third owner, and an MoT in that year confirms the mileage at 14,813 and by 2008, the odometer reading was still only 15,036. The car was then once again put in long term storage where it remained until it was sold in 2014 and, again, recommissioned and fully serviced with an expenditure of over £7000.  The MoT test from March 2015 states the mileage as 15,163. Later that year, the owner decided to offer the car at an auction at the Car Fest show where our vendor, an avid car collector, purchased the XJS and has since used it sparingly, on high days and holidays, increasing the mileage to just 16,404. With care provided by Jaguar specialists Powerbell, low mileage and in stunning order, this is one of the best examples of the appreciating XJS convertibles on offer on the market today.Guide Price 18,000 - £25,000Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1973 Lancia Fulvia HF (1.6 litre) Transmission: manual Mileage: 62251Vincenzo Lancia was born in a little Italian village near Turin in 1881. He was the youngest of four children. He showed an aptitude for engineering first with bicycles then cars. He founded Lancia & C.Fabbrica Automobili with friend Claudio Fogolin in 1906 and focused on vehicle manufacture and motor racing. Lancia enjoyed a reputation for technical firsts in production innovation – first monocoque chassis, five speed gearbox and the first V6 and V4 engines. His son Gianni took over the company in 1937 and was heavily committed to racing and continuing innovation. His racing obsession was costly and in the 1960’s the company was sold to a private investor before sale to the Agnelli family in 1969.This impressive Lancia was purchased by Mr. Henry Morton of Fowey, Cornwall on 1st February 1973 and uses a shallow V4 engine configuration. At that time these were expensive vehicles, highly engineered and competitive, winning the Italian Rally Championship seven times in eight years. The car was originally presented in Verde, often referred to as Ascot dark green. After three years of ownership the car was transferred to his son John, who owned the car for the next 42 years. During his tenure the colour was changed Rosso Red, a glass sunroof was fitted as were a smart set of Cromodora alloys. The Lancia was purchased by our vendor in 2018, as a non-runner, after a two-year search. It has been the subject of a major and detailed ground up restoration to bring the car to the exceptional standard it is today. Original parts were sourced from across Europe to ensure authenticity throughout the restoration the seats and carburettors being rebuilt in Italy by specialists and original specification period correct new Michelin tyres were fitted. The bodywork, as shown in the photographic history, was undertaken by Cotswold Classic Cars at a cost in excess of £20,000. The fully documented engine and mechanical rebuild was entrusted to marque specialists, Richard Thorne Classic Lancia. The preparation for a European trip and subsequent rallies included a half roll cage, rally harnesses and electric fuelling with a pressure control filter. The fastidious vendor with an eye for detail tells us that he oversaw all works and that the total cost of the restoration was in excess of £60,000. This de-bumpered example is presented to auction with a V5C registration document and is offered as one of the finest examples of a series 2 1600HF available in recent years.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1965 Sunbeam Tiger Transmission: manual Mileage: 25140Inspired by the AC Cobra that was effectively the British AC Ace sports car powered by the large American Ford 4.2 litre, V8, the Sunbeam Tiger first saw the light of day in 1964. Based upon the Rootes Group, Sunbeam Alpine, the Tiger - with the Ford power plant slotted into the engine bay, it became what is surely one of motoring's true 'wolf in sheep's clothing'. Precise handling was retained by keeping the Alpine's rack and pinion steering with stunning performance due not only to the muscle V8 but also due to the lightweight Alpine shell. This very nice example was fully restored in 1984 and is presented in red with a black interior, a new walnut dashboard and has recently had new black carpets fitted. The present owner has looked after this wonderful and powerful British classic since his acquisition in 2015, making sure the oil was changed regularly and in 2016, he renewed the master and slave cylinders as well as having new shock absorbers fitted at the same time. Its black hood is in good condition and as well as coming with a good history file, this Tiger also comes with the all important buff logbook which most say is a classic’s birth certificate! Wonderful exhaust note from its 4.2 litre V8 must surely evoke memories for some and begin a dream for others. 1973 BMW 3.0 CSi Transmission: manual Mileage: 44632 In 1968, BMW introduced a new two-door coupé that was designed and built by Karman. This new model was named internally as the E9 and the first version produced was named the 2800 CS, it featured an increased wheelbase to accommodate a new straight-six engine. The front of the car was restyled to resemble the E3 saloon model otherwise known as the 'shark nose'. Production of the E9 would run until 1975. During this time the 2800 CS was replaced by the 3.0 CS and 3.0 CSi in 1971. Performance of the 3.0 CSi compared well with its contemporaries, such as the E-Type Jaguar and the Ford Capri 3.0 but at over £5,500 it was a third more expensive than the Jaguar. Partly due to this formidable price, only 207 of this model were registered in the UK between November 1973 and November 1975. It was arguably the most advanced car for its time with standard Bosch K Tronic injection supplying fuel to the six-cylinder overhead cam engine, power steering, disc brakes all round and electronic windows front and rear. This stunning example of BMW’s Pillarless Coupé was UK registered on 7th May 1975 and is thought to be one of the first in the UK market. The vendor purchased this car in 2014 and almost immediately set about a considerable restoration project. The works started with an engine rebuild at Cotswold Cars. The car was then handed to restoration specialist, Justin Simmons at Pinkneys Green, Maidenhead for a comprehensive four-year restoration, costing over £100,000. The history file for KKJ 952N contains all invoices for the impressive amount of work undertaken. All the parts and panels used were either purchased from E9 specialists, Jaymic Ltd in the UK or Wallothnesch in Germany for original BMW classic parts. The file also contains a full photographic history of the works completed, from the bare metal respray to the fine example we see today. This fantastic example benefits from the addition of a stainless steel exhaust, a City Pack original spoiler, a Momo black leather steering wheel, new tyres throughout and has recently been retrimmed. 1993 BMW 850Ci Transmission: automatic Mileage: 138216Design of the 8 Series began in 1984 with the final design phase and production development in 1986. It debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in early September 1989 and was designed to move beyond the market of the original 6 Series. The 8 Series however had substantially improved performance as well as a far higher purchase price. Over 1.5 billion Deutsche Marks were spent on development; BMW used CAD tools, still unusual at the time, to design the car's all-new body. Combined with wind tunnel testing, the resulting car had a drag coefficient of 0.29 and offered the first V12 engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox on a road car. It was also one of the first vehicles to be fitted with an electronic 'drive-by-wire' throttle. This BMW 850Ci is a well presented example offered in a desirable colour combination. Both the paintwork and interior are in very good order and the car comes complete with a history file containing the current MoT test certificate and the UK V5C registration document. Recently treated to a an extensive respray the BMW looks wonderful. A commanding 90's sports car representing great value especially with the prices for modern classic V12's ever increasing.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1967 Austin Healey 3000 Mk. III Transmission: manual Mileage: 91373The Austin Healey was one the foundation blocks for one of the 1960s' most charismatic rally cars with the 3000 Mk. I introduced in March 1959. Powered by an enlarged 2,912cc straight-six engine that developed some 124bhp and offered in two-seater (BN7) or 2+2 seater (BT7) configurations, the progressively improved 3000 metamorphosed through Mk. II and Mk. IIa guises before the arrival of the ultimate Mk. III BJ8 in October 1963. After the stratospheric rise in Aston Martin and E-Type prices, the next British Sports car currently seeing early signs of investor interest is the Austin Healey 3000 Mk. III (Phase II). Like its competitors, the 2+2 seater BJ8 proved a comfortable and fast grand tourer but has the benefit of multiple upgrades and the ability to win silverware whenever driven in anger, has elevated it above its rivals. Previously owned for 16 years by an Austin Healey collector who transformed the car into something very special having only travelled 4,000 miles (confirmed by documented MoT test certificates) whilst in his collection. The current owner continued to upgrade and improve with the addition of remotely adjustable 123 ignition system, uprated roll bars, a high efficiency radiator, cast aluminium sump, chrome wire wheels and new tyres. In addition, a new mohair soft top and tonneau were recently fitted by OTC together with a refurbished interior. The chassis has been thoroughly Waxoyled by Rawles Classic Cars who, incidentally, also completed all the mechanical upgrades. The car is stored in an air-conditioned cocoon and the bodywork and interior, like the mechanics, are in excellent condition. The engine has done 4,500 miles since being completely refurbished when a fast road cam and triple Weber carburettors on Denis Welch inlet manifolds were also fitted. An Aluminium ‘Stage 2’ lead-free head was fitted by Bill Rawles just 1,800 miles ago; together with Denis Welch exhaust manifold and system, new clutch, oil cooler and high torque starter motor. Not to be left out, the brakes have been improved with the fitting of vented rear drums. The engine specification, as you may have some inkling, is based on the Healey works cars that Rauno Aaltonen and Timo Makinen had prodigious rally success in driving for the Healey works team in 1964. All bills and MoT test certificates are contained in two comprehensive history files together with a spreadsheet summary (backed up by USB memory stick) of all work, costs and mileage. The quality and integrity of workmanship is impeccable with this superb example presenting in stunning condition. The thought gone into the upgrades are well-considered with no expense spared to workmanship. This now very special, fast-road example benefits from a Heritage Certificate drives beautifully and is, quite simply, one of the finest Austin Healey 3000, we have ever seen.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1999 Porsche 996 Carrera 4 Transmission: manual Mileage: 89283The Porsche 996 is the internal designation for the Porsche 911 model, manufactured and sold between 1998 and 2005. On its debut, the 996 featured the most significant changes to the Carrera model since its 1963 introduction, namely the water-cooled engine replacing the previously air-cooled unit. Progressively stringent noise regulations, environmental concerns, a higher expectation for refinement and a high performance, four-valve-per-cylinder engine made the switch necessary. Other changes included a sleeker body with a more steeply raked windshield and a redesigned interior. The performance characteristics remained superb with reliability at its core. This fine Carrera 4 996 has been cherished during the vendor's ownership and indeed, going further back, the accompanying history file shows various maintenance completed. Recently treated to an extensive respray, full service, new lamber sensors, exhaust hangers and manifolds and a reconditioned gearbox. The history file also includes the most recent MoT test certificate valid until January 2022, the current UK V5C registration document and many other sundry invoices. Enormous fun and well looked after, this Carrera 4 represents great value.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1963 Porsche 356 SC Coupé Transmission: manual Mileage: 1128Introduced in 1948, the 356 was Porsche's first production car. Available in either coupé or open sports versions, the 356 was a lightweight rear engined, rear wheel drive sports car with fine handling characteristics. Production continued until 1965. It became a popular car for converting for racing and rallying and enjoyed much success through the years in many famous racing events. As a Porsche 356 SC, it is the top of the range model in the 356's final incarnation; with disc brakes all round and the 95bhp version of the 1600cc push-rod engine. This delightful Porsche is finished in silver with black interior and is best described as being a lovely genuine example. The interior appears to be completely original, the engine runs well with no adverse noises and we are advised she drives with no known faults. Add in the positive and precise gear change, the superb steering and the result is a real driver’s car. Supplied with a V5C registration document this is a genuine UK supplied right hand drive Porsche 356 SC coupé; this extremely stylish example can be defined as an automotive masterpiece, offering beauty, presence and practicality all in one. Sold under the SL model names, the R107 replaced the W113 SL Class in 1972 which was in turn replaced by the R129 SL Class in 1989. The SL variant was a two-seat convertible/roadster with standard soft top and hardtop and optional folding seats for the rear bench. Volume production of the first SL started in April 1971 alongside the last of the W113 cars. The SL roadster has since become the epitome of what a luxury roadster should look like and can be found from Aberdeen to Antibes and indeed in every corner of the earth and wherever the jet-set congregate. This splendid 280 SL has only had two former private keepers and is showing 134,551 miles on the odometer. 1990 Jaguar XJS Convertible Transmission: automatic Mileage: 52858In 1975, the Jaguar E-Type finally gave way to an all new and more efficient Jaguar, the Jaguar XJS. The specifications of the XJS compared well with both Italian cars; it was able to accelerate to 60mph in 7.6 seconds and had a top speed of 143mph.Finished in metallic silver over a grey leather interior, this Jaguar was originally registered on 31st December 1990. Presented in good order throughout, the paintwork retains a deep shine and is generally very good, although there are some small areas that would benefit from a tidy up. the interior too is also in very good condition. The V12 engine sounds fantastic and the car is reported to be in fine running and driving order. Part of a private collection for some time, this XJS is showing a mere 52,858 miles on the odometer. Offered with a sizeable history file detailing previous maintenance work and toolkit, these low mileage V12’s are becoming increasingly difficult to find and this example we believe is offered with a very attractive reserve price.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1999 Jaguar XJ8 3.2 Executive Transmission: automatic Mileage: 21230Jaguar XJ is the designation used for the series of luxury saloons sold under the British marque. The first XJ was launched in 1968 and the designation has been used for successive Jaguar flagship models ever since. The original model was the last Jaguar saloon to have had the input of Sir William Lyons, the company's founder. With the introduction of the X308 generation in 1997 came a switch from the 'XJ6' nomenclature to 'XJ8', reflecting the fact that the X308 cars were powered by a new V8 engine. The exterior styling of the X308 was like its predecessor the X300, with minor refinements such as a change to oval indicator lenses and round fog lights. The interior was also updated to eliminate the instrument binnacle used on the X300, instead, three large gauges were set into recesses in the walnut faced dashboard in front of the driver. The major mechanical change was the replacement of both the inline-six and V12 engines with new eight-cylinder V8 in either 3.2 litre or 4.0 litre versions. Manual transmission was not available with X308 models only a five-speed automatic gearbox. This superb example is presented in British Racing Green with Oatmeal leather interior and is in immaculate condition throughout. It comes with air conditioning and climate control, heated electric front seats and a CD changer. The car was imported from Japan and, as such, comes with the very reassuring Export Certificate which guarantees the mileage and there are four recent service invoices in the history file. The present owner has carried out its most recent service and the MoT test certificate expires April 2022. A wonderful example of this luxury saloon which has only covered a mere 21,230 miles from new.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1977 Morgan Plus 8 Transmission: manual Mileage: 26298Introduced in 1968, the Plus 8 became such an instant hit and enduring success that it not only provided the bedrock on which Morgan could build for the future, but quite possibly saved the company at a difficult time in its long history. Searching for new engines, Morgan concluded a deal with Rover for supply of its all aluminium 3.5 litre V8, thus creating a car that combined vintage charm with Cobra-like 'grunt' - the Plus 8. Morgan's Plus 4 chassis, strengthened and extended, formed the basis of the new car, while the existing Moss four-speed gearbox was also retained. After a successful debut at the 1968 London Motor Show, production commenced at the rate of around 15 cars per month. While the traditionally styled Morgan's brick-like aerodynamics restricted top speed to around 125mph (more than fast enough for most people driving an open car) the Rover V8's 168bhp made for supercar league performance through the gears. The Morgan Plus 8 was very popular and remained in production for 36 years. Originally registered on 21st March 1977, this Morgan has been owned by the vendor for the last 32 years. In 1987 the car was restored at The Morgan Motor Factory which included a new aluminium body, wings and frame. In 1993 the engine was rebuilt by Techniques Morgan to 4.1 litre ‘blueprint’ fast road specification, an oil cooler and Kenlowe fan were also fitted together with a Harpers SS tuned exhaust system. The brakes have been upgraded as have the shock absorbers, new 15” alloy wheels have been fitted, along with a number of additional subtle improvements. This is a Morgan that certainly travels with alacrity. During his stewardship, the vendor has spent long periods working overseas which accounts for the low mileage; however the car has been professionally stored in his absence. Presenting in very good order, this Morgan is supplied with a hardtop, V5C registration document and a good history folder, together with a number of spare parts and the original 14” wheels and tyres. Without doubt this is an interesting Plus 8 that offers performance and handling second to none. 1977 Morgan Plus 8 FIA Race Car Transmission: manual Mileage: 18000The Morgan Plus 8 was introduced in 1968 in England. Developed by Maurice Owen, it is based on a modified Plus 4 chassis and equipped with a V8 Rover engine attached to the Moss gearbox and a Salisbury axle with limited slip differential. The model gradually evolved until the V8 Rover disappeared in 2003. In 1983, the Plus 8 adopted fuel injection before switching to a 3.9L displacement in 1990. Developing 190 horsepower for a weight of only 940 kilograms, the Morgan Plus 8 went from 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds and reached 200 kilometres per hour in rush hour - a true sports car with a very classic design that delivers a lot of thrills! First registered on 1st December 1977, this 1976 road legal Plus 8 race car comes supplied with FIA papers making it a potential front runner and eligible for a wide range of race series ranging from HSCC Road Sports, 70’s Road Sport, Tour Auto and CSCC. Originally converted in the 1990’s for the Dutch Morgan Championship, it was used throughout Europe, competing no less than twenty-seven times by 2007. The car raced at all the ‘bucket list’ races Europe has to offer with entries at Spa, Nurburgring, Zolder, Hockenheim and Zandvoort amongst others and all documented in the accompanying Wagenpass booklet. Just rebuilt with no expense spared, including an RS Fabrications bespoke roll cage, complete suspension, brake and steering overhaul, as well as boasting a 3900cc John Eales Race Engine, (circa 270BHP), with roller rockers, adjustable pushrods and cylinder heads both just refreshed. Two new Sparco race seats have also been fitted along with new 6 point race harnesses, removeable Spacro steering wheel, extinguisher system, Race Tech gauges, silicone hoses and an aluminium radiator. 2006 Smart Fortwo Convertible Brabus Red Edition Transmission: manual Mileage: 57287The Smart design concept began at Mercedes-Benz in the early 70s and late 80s. After brief backing by Volkswagen, the first model was released by Daimler-Benz in October 1998. Several variants on the original design have been introduced, with the original being the ‘Fortwo’. The car launched successfully in nine European countries. Smart derives from cooperation with Swatch and Mercedes-Benz: Swatch Mercedes ART. The Smart Brabus Edition Red was a limited edition produced in September 2006; of only 50 cars produced, 35 were coupés and 15 were cabriolet versions. The paintwork was especially done in Intense Red and the interior colours were duly matched with usual Brabus upgrades.Designed on the base of the Fortwo Brabus, this limited edition example can be distinguished by its bright Intense Red colour and is powered by a 75bhp, 3-cylinder turbo charged engine, with a top speed of 150km/h, unlike the other Fortwo cars that were traditionally restricted to 135km/h. The passenger compartment has seats and door linings in Alcantara leather and red top stitching, the speedometer, clock and turbo pressure gauge have the same red surrounds and the dashboard is covered in black Alcantara. Other than that, the car shares the major elements of the Brabus versions, such as the twin exhaust, 16” monoblock alloys and various accessories to assist the passengers such as air conditioning and paddle shift steering wheel. This Fortwo Brabus Red Edition has been part of a private collection for some time and is presented in very good condition throughout. Showing a mere 57,287 on the odometer, this Brabus comes with a history file including old MoT test certificates and the current V5 registration document. 1939 Ford V8 Deluxe Transmission: manual Mileage: The sole coupé model was a five-window design, with a single bench seat for three people. This allowed the car to boast two luggage compartments, one reached by raising the boot lid, the other from inside by lifting the seatback. The coupé was available as either a Standard or DeLuxe model, the former with a choice of the small 60bhp V8 or the 221ci 85bhp powerplant. Standard Fords had a variation of the 1938 nose, less exterior trim, and a single taillight. In DeLuxe trim, cars had the new Gregorie front end, two taillights, and came with the 85 horsepower engine as standard equipment. For the first time the headlights were recessed smoothly into the front wings, but for the last time they had free-form lenses, unconstrained by the new round shape of standardised sealed beams. Despite its limited seating, the coupé proved quite popular, with 37,326 manufactured of all types. This placed it third in sales, behind the Tudor and Fordor saloons. This exquisite Ford V8 presents in beautiful condition. Imported into the UK in February 2015 this vehicle has been subject to a no expense spared, frame-up build featuring a modified, professionally built, 359 cubic inch Chevrolet engine fuelled by a Carter 600cfm carburettor with Brodix aluminium cylinder heads, roller rockers and a hydraulic performance camshaft. The distributor is an electronic Igniter ignition and cooling is handled by a Walker radiator with the power conservatively estimated at between an eye watering 350 and 400bhp! The gearbox is a 350 automatic with a Lokar shifter, the front suspension is independent with coilover shocks and heavy duty springs and the steering is rack and pinion. Braking at the front is taken care of by Mustang disc brakes and calipers and the rear axle is a heavy duty 9" Ford unit with drum brakes, all sitting on a powder-coated chassis. The interior of this coupé features new headlining, carpets, seats, door trims and seat belts and the beautifully original woodgrain-look dash gives a fantastically authentic feel. A complete Ron Francis wiring loom is also installed along with new VDU gauges to complement the banjo steering wheel and the front screen winds out just as it should. Presented in Cordoba Tan with chrome wheels housed by new Coker Classic whitewall tyres; 215/75/R15s on the back and 195/75/R15s on the front. The cars were a big hit with the in crowd during the 60s and 70s with the likes of film director Sam Wanamaker, Rod Stewart and many other celebrity's enjoying ownership. The Marcos evolved from the race track and is a true drivers car. The basic design endured for more than three decades and evolved to cope with over 500bhp. The first five years saw the Marcos produced with a wooden chassis after which a more conventional tubular steel space frame was used. Wood was a much misunderstood medium, it is light, simple to repair, very strong and has an important degree of flexibility. The original 1800 and other 1960’s and 1970’s Marcos are still competitive in both FIA and HSCC (UK) historic racing series. The Marcos Cars original sales sheet confirms that chassis 3V5836 was supplied by Hexagon of Highgate, London and delivered to its first owner, Mr. Kaye of Finchley, London. 1992 Mercedes-Benz 600 SEL Transmission: automatic Mileage: 25800The Mercedes-Benz S-Class represented a classification officially introduced in 1972 with the W116. The S-Class has served as the flagship model for Mercedes for over fifty years in its various incarnations debuting many of the company's latest innovations including drive-train technologies, interior features, and safety systems such as the first seatbelt pre-tensioners. The term stems from the German abbreviation 'S-Klasse', for 'Sonderklasse' , meaning 'special class' and in automotive terms refers to 'a specially outfitted car'. In 1991, the W140 series replaced the W126 in the Mercedes-Benz line-up and saw the S-Class grow in its proportions; more technology and features were added due to product evolution and through competition. Innovations were introduced such as double-pane window glazing, self-closing boot lid/doors, electric windows with a jam-protection feature and a heating system which emitted warm air while residual energy was available after the engine was turned off. This absolutely superb example is presented in Metallic Nautical Blue with cream leather interior. This Mercedes-Benz was delivered new to the Embassy of Qatar for the personal use of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamad Al-Thani. Apart from the usual luxury items that the factory bestowed upon such vehicles, this particular car was lavished with electrically operated privacy curtains in the rear of the car, electrically operated picnic tables for the rear passengers and electric rear seats offering more comfort for His Highness. The car comes with two sets of keys, its Mercedes-Benz data card, full book pack, original sales invoice to the Embassy and a letter of provenance showing the name of the first owner. 1969 Ford Escort Mk. I (1600) Transmission: manual Mileage: 68794The Mk. I Ford Escort was introduced in Ireland and the UK at the end of 1967 and made its show debut at the Brussels Motor Show in January 1968. It replaced the successful, long running Ford Anglia. The front suspension and steering gear were differently configured and the brakes were fitted with dual hydraulic circuits; also the wheels fitted on the Genk-built Escorts had wider rims. These models were hailed as an immediate success both domestically on the roads and for motor sport, particularly rallying/rallycross and hill climbing. A higher performance version of this iconic car was produced for rallies and a racing version was available, the Escort Twin-Cam, which were built for Group 2 international rallying. It had an engine with a Lotus-made eight-valve twin camshaft head fitted to the 1.5 litre non-crossflow block, which had a bigger bore than usual to give a capacity of 1,558cc. This engine had originally been developed for the Lotus Elan which had already proven itself in the market place, on the road and on the track. The Mk. I Escorts were incredibly successful and they eventually went on to become one of the most successful rally cars of all time. Only 883 of these rare sports cars were made. This fabulous Ford Escort was painstakingly built as a replica of the famous Mk. I Twin-Cam, thus resulting in the glorious white example we have here. Fitted with a Vulcan engineering built 1600 crossflow engine fed by twin 40’ Weber carburettors and mated to a highly sought after Tran-X straight cut gearbox, bucket seats, an all original shell and panels including flared Mexico arches, and uprated wildwood brakes, this example takes on a familiar guise as the infamous Twin-Cam rallying legend we know so well. The bodywork is in very good condition having been professionally stripped, treated, and resprayed and the paintwork is in excellent order showing very few blemishes throughout. Reported to run very well indeed, the engine sounds fantastic when on song. Offered with a sizeable history file with many invoices and photographs detailing the restoration, many previous MoT test certificates, various sundry invoices and the current V5 registration document. 1990 Jaguar XJS Convertible Transmission: automatic Mileage: 35812In 1975, the Jaguar E-Type finally gave way to an all new and more efficient Jaguar, the Jaguar XJS. This new luxury grand tourer, although never quite having the same sporting image as the E-Type, was actually more aerodynamic with the final example leaving the production line on 4th April 1996; at that stage 115,413 units had been manufactured during a 21 year production life. Power came from the Jaguar V12 engine with a choice of a manual or automatic transmission although the manual gearbox was soon dropped. V12 engine cars were unusual at the time with notable exceptions coming from Italian luxury sports car makers Lamborghini and Ferrari. The specifications of the XJS compared well with both Italian cars; it was able to accelerate to 60mph in 7.6 seconds and had a top speed of 143mph. Originally registered on 3rd August 1990 this XJS Convertible has only had two owners from new and presents in beautiful condition. The Diamond Blue coachwork is unblemished as is the Doeskin leather interior, all of this is complemented by a blue hood. The first owner was a ‘Right Honourable’ gentleman who kept the car for 12 years, after which it was purchased by a very discerning enthusiast who has been equally diligent in the upkeep of this delightful example. Having covered a mere 35,812 miles in its 31 years on British roads this Jaguar is supplied with a V5C registration document, a current MoT test certificate and a history folder. XJS Convertibles have been increasing in value of late, a low ownership example such as this, together with low mileage and in fabulous condition makes this a highly desirable Jaguar. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale by Bertone Transmission: manual Mileage: 61080The stunning Sprint Speciale coupé directly descended from Carrozzeria Bertone’s brilliant Bertone Aerodynamica Technica (BAT) design studies of the mid-1950s. With its extremely low drag coefficient of 0.29, it was aimed at competition, and a limited number were produced to meet FIA homologation rules. The Speciale utilised lightweight construction that had been built on the chassis of the popular Giulietta Spider, and it came with a domed roofline and gracefully peaked wings. The Giulietta’s sturdy 1300cc, all-alloy, four-cylinder engine was fitted with a pair of Weber sidedraught carburettors, and it could produce a healthy 116 hp. This was enough power to push the slippery two-seater to almost 125 mph, considerably faster than its conventionally bodied Giulietta Sprint coupé and spider siblings. The unique plastic air deflector mounted ahead of the windscreen, which was more commonly seen on competition Ferraris of the era, added to the car’s racy flavour. It is estimated that no more than 1366 Sprint Speciales were produced between 1957 and 1962, in both Giulietta and larger-engined Giulia form. The included copy of the Christies catalogue in which this very pretty, early ‘Sprint Speciale’ car was auctioned in 1992 states that it is one of only four that were officially imported into the UK and is believed to have been imported by Colonel Ronnie Hoare of Maranello Concessionaires, the first UK Ferrari importer blessed by the great Enzo Ferrari himself. Famous for running ‘RU’ number plates on cars he imported and raced, this car was initially registered ‘RU 6’ making it highly likely to have been imported by the great Colonel. The car changed hands regularly throughout the 1960’s, having an engine replacement on 3rd June 1970, before being bought by Paul O’Hanlon in 1971, a great Alfa man, racer and later AROC Competition Secretary. Known as a true ‘70’s’ man when ‘sex was safe and racing was dangerous’, he was a much loved and respected member of the racing scene, particularly in Alfa circles. He later sold the car on to Mr. Robin Redcliffe who spent five years on a full restoration, of which there is a photographic record in the history file. When he sold the car, (in the Christies sale previously mentioned), he retained the number plate ‘3 RBJ’ that had been on the car since 1970 and it became ‘VSK 412’ which it wears to this day. The vendor bought the car post auction in 1992 having toyed with the idea of buying it for several years. He went about showing the car and enjoyed good success with it at concours events until it was put into storage around 1998 as his career started to require him to travel much more.Sadly, a tree branch broke a large hole in the double garage where he was storing the car, (along with the Duetto Spider also in this sale), which caused both cars to slowly fall into a state of disrepair. Whilst the paint shows significant blistering, the car is complete and the interior is in remarkably good condition. The bodywork appears to be very solid, the interior is very good and whilst the car requires recommissioning, it suggests a relatively straightforward restoration.Supplied with its V5C logbook, toolkit, original logbooks, history file, MoT test certificates, magazine articles, restoration photos, concours history, trophies and Guilietta Owners Club magazines. The beautifully presented history file shows the love and care that was given to the car and it was a great sadness for the vendor that its condition deteriorated whilst stored. This Alfa represents a very rare opportunity to restore a former concours winner with a fascinating history and is one not to be missed.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1973 Fiat 130 Coupé Auto Transmission: automatic Mileage: 83000Fiat was never really noted for building large luxury cars so the 130 range was quite a departure compared to their wonderful compact cars. The Coupé, based on the same platform as the saloon, was introduced in March 1971 having been designed by Paolo Martin of Pininfarina, who also manufactured the car. With a unique interior design and stunning looks, it was acclaimed by road testers of the day as the enlarged Lampredi designed 3235cc V6 provided very good performance and the handling was excellent. With only 4000 Coupés produced they are very rare cars but the left hand drive examples are especially regarded having generally been owned in hotter climates and therefore avoiding the ravages of the UK roads and weather. This lovely example is presented in silver metallic with very rare, red full leather interior which is in very good condition. The car was imported into the UK in 2011 and then recommissioned with circa £12,000 spent on it. On the road, this Fiat has a real presence being quite a large car and still manages to entertain the driver as only the Italians can do with road-holding years ahead of its time. Its 3.2 litre engine is smooth and provides plenty of performance for good touring or country road driving. This is surely one of the best examples of this rare Italian marque on the market today.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1962 Lancia Flaminia GT Transmission: manual Mileage: 81452Introduced in 1957, the Flaminia was Lancia's flagship model at that time, replacing the Aurelia. It was available throughout its lifetime as saloon, coupé and cabriolet. The Flaminia coupé and convertible were coachbuilt cars with bodies from several prestigious Italian coachbuilders. The aluminium bodied cabriolet and coupés from Touring of Milan were considerably more expensive than the Berlina models but the designs epitomised the style and design flair of the finest motoring designers of their time. A total of 1,550, 2.5 litre, GT coupés were built by Carozzeria Touring between 1957-62, making them somewhat exclusive in their day. With double wishbones, coil springs and shock absorbers featuring on the new model, the cars performance was nimble and the ride comfort was superior to much of the competition. The Flaminia was named after the ‘Via Flaminia’, a road leading from Rome to Ariminum (Rimini). This respected the established Lancia tradition of naming individual models after Roman roads. This stunning example of the Flaminia GT by Carozzeria Touring of Milan was produced on 16th February 1962 as confirmed by the Centro Storico document found within the history file. Presented in Lord Blue with contrasting burnt orange leather hide trim over stone Wilton carpets which have all been beautifully restored. A privately owned example, this was purchased by our vendor and in need of restoration. In 2016, the vendor selected the well-known and respected classic specialist Adam Redding to set about the task of returning this example to its former glory, the result in early 2018 is what can only be described as one of the best examples we have had the pleasure to offer. The original yellow headlights are a nod to its continental roots, but we are informed the clear examples are available should the new buyer wish.We are informed a full matching numbers car, the engine has seen the same attention to detail as the bodywork with the car being described as better than new and a joy to drive. This Flaminia GT has been fabulously well restored and maintained since, it comes with an extensive file of works and parts within the history file. Also included is a UK V5 registration document. Flaunted by the rich and famous during the 1950s and 1960s, these handcrafted grand tourers are still very capable motor cars today. Imagine touring the Côte d’Azur, what a breeze!      Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1986 Lister Coupé (Jaguar XJ-S) ‘Chassis 001’ Press Car Transmission: manual Mileage: 9436Lister is one of the most renowned names in sports car racing history and the Lister-Jaguar, designed by Brian Lister, swept almost all before its first full racing season in 1957. From the early 1980’s the name has also graced some of the world's fastest road cars and in 1989, with the culmination of six years of development work, the Lister Le Mans arrived on the supercar scene. Christened 'Le Mans' to celebrate Jaguar's success there in the late 80's, the Lister totally transformed its Jaguar XJ-S base into a mega powerful 200mph supercar. The bored out 7.0 litre Jaguar engine produced a mighty 600bhp with an identical 600lbft of torque ensuring effortless acceleration in any gear. The name has graced some of the most important and fastest road cars in the world, after an agreement first with BLE Automotive and then WP Automotive saw converted XJ-S models marketed as Lister Jaguars.Offered to the open market for the first time in over three decades, chassis ‘001’ was registered on 28th October 1986 and originally used as Lister’s Press Car, featuring on the cover of Autocar Magazine in November 1986 which heralded ‘The return of the Lister Jaguar’. Originally built using a new seam welded, strengthened, XJ-S bodyshell and finished in grey over a cream leather interior with black carpets, this XJS was powered by a 5.0 litre engine. Lister later upgraded ‘001’ to its current specification which was documented and featured in Jaguar World Monthly. The specification included its Regency Red paintwork and tuned 7.0 litre Jaguar V12 engine with special nitride coated and dynamically balanced crankshafts. Fitted with a five-speed manual gearbox and many of Lister's typical improvements to the bodywork, chassis, suspension, brakes and wheels, the full Mk. III specification listed on file.In very good order throughout, the finish to the paintwork is excellent as you would expect with such a low mileage example. Accompanying the car is a history file detailing its important history which includes many sundry invoices, magazines features, previous MoT test certificates, the UK V5C registration document and a valid MoT test certificate. Offered directly from a private collection, this Lister has been maintained regardless of cost and serviced and exercised occasionally with the last full service, including all 12 spark plugs, undertaken at 8,999 miles. The vendor reports that the Lister will be driven to the sale and as such the mileage reading will differ slightly from the 9,436 showing at time of photography. This is a pure Lister and not to be confused with a Jaguar XJ-S conversion. A very special car indeed the 7.0 litre engine delivers a blistering 600bhp, the noise of which is earth shattering; justification enough to belong in any collection, let alone its rarity and significance as a part of Lister’s extraordinary history. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1985 BMW M635CSi Transmission: manual Mileage: 77849The BMW M635CSi was the brainchild of BMW’s Motorsport department and arrived to the market in 1984. Karmann manufactured the early 6 Series BMWs from launch in 1976 before BMW took production in-house. The engine was a development of the M1 supercar's 3453cc, 24 valve, six cylinder unit producing 286bhp, the increased power necessitating chassis improvements which included altered weight distribution, revised suspension, larger brakes and a limited slip differential. There was also a close ratio five-speed gearbox (or four speed multi-mode auto) and a more luxurious interior, while outwardly this ultimate 6 Series model was readily distinguishable by virtue of its 'M Technic' bodykit. Performance was impressive with the M635CSi capable of reaching 0-62mph in around six seconds on its way to a top speed in excess of 155mph.This fabulous, very rare, early chrome bumper, matching numbers M88 powered manual gearbox 'Shark' comes from a private BMW Car Club member and enthusiast and is a car well known in the Club having been seen at many Club Shows and notably was on the club stand at the NEC Classic Car Show. Presented in probably the best colour combination of Cosmos Blau with Pacific Blue interior with a factory fitted Mtec body kit. In fabulous condition throughout, it sits on period uprated alloy wheels housing uprated 8 Series brakes (original wheels also supplied) and boasting a limited slip differential. Originally registered on 1st August 1985 and delivered locally to Bracknell before selling through BMW Park Lane, this is a highly collectable, excellent example of the rare right hand drive M635 – one of just 524 right hand cars ever produced – and even if you were to buy a poor example, we believe it would cost in excess of £30,000 to reach the quality of this current car. Having purchased the BMW 17 years ago, the owner has amassed an extensive history file detailing the considerable amount of money he has been spent on refurbishing and restoring the car to its current excellent state. In 2009 a full body restoration and repaint was fulfilled by Autospray VSS in Henstridge, Somerset with full photographic evidence of the work included in the history file. In fantastic standard today, it also benefits from an original radio/cassette, Blaupunkt New York SQR83 model and all the electrics are reported to be in working order including sunroof and both front and rear windows. In 2016, with the mileage at 77,470, a full engine rebuild was undertaken by renowned specialists Munich Legends and less than 400 miles has been covered since. Recent works include a new fuel tank and ancillaries in 2019 and clutch and slave cylinder in 2018 together with a recent service this summer coupled to all the brake lines and fuel lines replaced.Garaged and used sparingly, this is a pampered example that we strongly recommend viewing. Accompanying the car is the original owner’s handbook and service book in its original wallet with the latest stamp in 2020 and the original toolkit with history detailing ownership from new. There are also many invoices, a BMW Heritage Certificate, every MoT test certificate going back to 1988 and a current MoT test certificate which expires in March 2022. The car drives extremely well and still feels quick on the open road even by today’s standards and, with just 60 currently registered in the UK and BMW classic prices soaring, this is a fabulous opportunity to snap up a seriously cool BMW M car with a stunning history.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2001 Mercedes-Benz S320 L Transmission: automatic Mileage: 21000The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is a luxury saloon and was officially introduced in 1972 with the W116 S-Class which succeeded previous Mercedes-Benz models dating back to the mid 1950s. As the flagship of the Mercedes-Benz line-up, the S-Class has debuted many of the company's latest innovations, including drivetrain technologies, interior features, and safety systems such as seatbelt pretensioners. The W220 S-Class was completely restyled in 1999 with a body that was slightly smaller and lighter than its predecessor. Production of the W220 S-Class totalled 485,000 units; slightly more than the production totals of its predecessor. As with each new S-Class, the W220 brought in new innovations such as Airmatic air suspension and Active Ventilated Seats which used miniature fans in the seats to move air through perforations. Mercedes-Benz traditionally introduced its safety innovations in the S-Class; for instance, the model was the first car in Europe to incorporate airbags. S-Class safety features included innovations in active safety (accident avoidance) including ABS braking in 1978, traction control and Electronic Stability Program (ESP). Passive safety features included crumple zones in 1957, three-point seatbelts in 1965, collapsible steering column and strengthened occupant cell, resulting in better protection during heavy impacts. This absolutely superb example was delivered new to the late Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamad Al-Thani and is in exemplary condition throughout. It is presented in Obsidian Black with grey leather interior and is left hand drive. Its smooth V6 3.2 litre engine has had a gentle life, only covering a mere 21,000 kms of chauffeured driving! It is laden with all the usual Mercedes-Benz luxuries such as electric seats, walnut wood, centrally mounted analogue television in the rear (currently disconnected), climate control and air conditioning. This fabulous example wants for nothing and comes with a letter of provenance, a V5C registration document, service book (in German) and an owner’s manual. 1930 Nash Ambassador 8 (Four-door saloon) Transmission: manual Mileage: 5293The first use of the name Ambassador by Nash was during the 1927 model year when a specially trimmed four-door, five-passenger club saloon version of the ‘Nash Advanced Six’ (designated model 267) was developed. As the most expensive car in the line, the Ambassador received upgrades in upholstery and other trim items for a base price of $2,090. Exports accounted for almost 11% percent of Nash production in 1927, and the cars were purchased by several royal families. The Ambassador model lost its position as Nash's most expensive car in 1929 with the introduction of seven-passenger sedan and limousine models that were carried through the 1934 model year. The Ambassador remained in the Advanced Six range until 1930 when the model was moved to the ‘Nash Twin Ignition Eight’ series. In 1931, the cumbersome Twin Ignition Eight name was replaced by the simpler ‘Eight-90’ model designation.Imported from the US in 1991 where it had undergone a complete restoration to a very high standard, it is still looking superb for it today. The car has an eight-cylinder OHV engine and a three-speed manual transmission. It has been changed to 12 volt, with both the starter motor and dynamo being rewound; the engine electrics have also been renewed. A new radiator has been fitted and the gearbox has been removed, checked and bearings replaced along with a new clutch. The rear axle has been removed, checked, and bearings replaced. The front axle springs have also been renewed, new wheel bearings were fitted at the same time. This delightfully handsome vehicle has a true feel of being a luxury car even by today’s standard, take into account it is over 90 years old and one can only imagine the status of owning such a vehicle in the 30’s. Supplied with a V5C registration document together with a host of paperwork, viewing is highly recommended to appreciate the quality of this stunning vehicle.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2009 Land Rover Defender SVX 60th Anniversary Limited Edition Transmission: manual Mileage: 24300This special edition of the iconic Land Rover Defender was introduced to celebrate the 60th anniversary of this classic British 4×4 and since 1948, the original Land Rover has come a long way. The limited edition SVX shares its mechanical layout with the standard Defender, including the same, recently revised 2.4 litre, four-cylinder, turbo diesel engine. There are, however, a host of upgrades including a full, front to back, roll cage in contrasting silver to the Santorini black body colour with 60th Anniversary side-panel decals. Weather gear includes a mohair ‘bikini’ hood which goes on quickly or you can opt for the full hood enclosing the rear deck too (both supplied). Additionally, it benefits from big wheels, distinctive brightwork and a silver-coloured grille and headlamp surround with LED units to the rear. It’s also reported to be ‘flatter-riding’ than any previous Defender courtesy of some subtle, SVX-only improvements to the damping making life more comfortable. To the interior, the obvious addition is a large set of Recaro seats with firmer cushioning transforming the driving position from the usual Defender to, it is thought by the motoring press, ‘something close to ideal’. There are also a host of other small but well considered trim changes including an SVX gearstick, an SVX plaque, side steps, iPod connectivity, electric windows, satnav, and air conditioning. These cars perform brilliantly off-road thanks to excellent ground clearance and axle articulation, a locking centre differential and clever traction control. The owner spent some time looking for an SVX and back in 2019, he found one. He has used it sparingly, covering just 700 miles since purchase. During that time, he has replaced the front swivel joints with genuine parts as well as numerous other service items including intercooler hoses. The tyres are in good order and sit on genuine SVX alloys with the spare strapped down in the boot alongside two side-facing jump seats. Complete with owner’s manual and SVX -registration number, these Defenders will have a small and select following among those seeking the ultimate incarnation. All versions of the Defender hold their value well and with only 90 (of 300) SVX soft-tops and station wagons sold in the UK, rarity is assured.Interested parties should note that this vehicle was the subject of light damage early on in its life, a right hand side impact. It was deemed a category D insurance loss, i.e. damaged but repairable. Due to the rarity, it was subsequently rebuilt with no perceptible issues now visible, either internally or externally. Additionally, it has a full MoT test certificate valid until December 2021 and it is worth noting that were this a pristine (non cat-D) vehicle, it would need to be garaged and not be driven in order to maintain its value whereas this can be driven and enjoyed immediately.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1932 Ford Model B Pick-up Transmission: manual Mileage: 995The Ford Model B was introduced in 1932 as a replacement for the Model A and was produced until 1934. It was available in a large variety of body styles including two-door roadster, two-door coupé, four-door sedans, four-door station wagons and also pick-up derivative. The Model B's proved very popular with bootleggers as they were easily modified then used to evade the revenue agents in the prohibition era. During the period after World War II, returning soldiers regularly upgraded Model B’s with larger engines, improved suspension and transmissions. It was common place to fit larger rear wheels to raise gear ratio at high speed, while in the front smaller wheels allowed the car to rake forward for improved aerodynamics. These cars were built to race and became known as 'Hot Rods'.The Ford Model B Pick-up 'Hot Rod' offered here is a highly desirable, all-steel, 1932 HiBoy model. Finished in deep Tartan Blue with tan leather interior, it has covered an indicated 981 miles since the rebuild. This remarkable car has undergone a complete, no expense spared, restoration and you can be left in no doubt it is fabulous throughout. Notable works include new powder coated chassis rails, chromed wishbones, chromed shocks to the front with adjustable coil overs on the rear, polished finned alloy brake covers for the Speedway polished front discs brakes with fully refurbished rear drum brakes. This exceptional pick-up is powered by fully rebuilt (circa 1961) Buick 401 Nailhead V8, 6600cc engine with a .30 though bore which breaths through an Edelbrock carburettor offering circa 400bhp. The powerful engine is mated to a five-speed Tremec 600 manual gearbox which sends power via a new propshaft to a Moser 9 Ford rear axle. Additional mechanical works have included Sanderson chrome lustre block hugger heads, new exhaust system, Pertronix electronic ignition system, new aluminium radiator with electric fan, high torque starter motor, mini high-output alternator and full rewire throughout. 1970 Rolls-Royce Shadow Two-Door Fixed-Head Coupé Transmission: automatic Mileage: 63046The unitary construction Silver Shadow unveiled in 1965 nudged Rolls-Royce into a brand of new generation of luxury motor cars built by Mulliner/Park Ward. Rolls-Royce Motors formed Mulliner/Park Ward in 1961 by the merger of two Rolls-Royce subsidiaries: Park Ward of Willesden, London, a subsidiary since 1939 and H. J. Mulliner & Co. of Chiswick, a subsidiary since 1959. The first of these cars was a development of the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow with the two-door variants of that model marketed as the ‘Silver Shadow Mulliner Park Ward’ two-door fixed-head coupé, the very handsome coachwork design by John Blatchley and his deputy Bill Allen. The model was assembled and finished in London at the Mulliner Park Ward, Willesden factory producing two models - the Drop-head Coupé and the Two-Door Fixed-Head Coupé; the Corniche name was applied from 1971 for all two-door coupés. The early car used the standard Rolls-Royce V8, 6230cc engine mated to a automatic transmission from General Motors. The engine size was increased in 1970 to 6750cc.This excellent Rolls-Royce Shadow Two-Door Fixed-Head Coupé was ordered in August 1969 by Jack Barclay Ltd for their esteemed customer Richard Attenborough, the world-famous actor, filmmaker and entrepreneur. He had it specially commissioned to be finished in ICI special green, non-metallic paintwork and trimmed in beige striped cloth. The order sheet also shows that the car was fitted with Firestone whitewall tyres together with plain sundym glass throughout, full refrigeration, the ashtrays removed, and a special console made to house the electric seat switches; usually fitted to the door cards, as it wasn’t considered to be so easily accessible. Once completed, it was received by Jack Barclay Ltd in Berkeley Square for pre-delivery inspection prior to Christmas 1969 when it was pre-registered with the number OO 3907 for use from January 1st 1970. Mr Attenborough retained the car for many years, mainly chauffeur driven, until in 1984, with only 11,400 miles on the odometer, he replaced it with a Rolls-Royce Corniche Coupé. From 1984 there is an extensive history file showing that it has been kept in superb condition. In 2006/7, bearing the current registration mark, it was owned by a collector of Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars, who had the cloth interior replaced with beige Connolly hide, piped in green, before putting the car up for sale by auction at the RREC annual rally in 2007. It was purchased by a German classic car collector whose collection included Bentley, Jaguar, Austin Healey and Ferrari and, wanting perfection to match his other cars, he had a major restoration carried out on the already great car, resulting in the splendid example of the marque it is today. The current keeper purchased the car in January 2019 and he has maintained it to the same high standards as the previous owners spending £16,000 with marque specialists The Chelsea Workshop. Finished in its original unique colour of green, this fixed-head coupé is supplied with a UK V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in May 2022 and the very large history file which has copies of the chassis cards, MoT certificates going back to 1984 and copious invoices relating to the work carried out.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1965 Jaguar E-Type Series I Roadster (4.2 Litre) Transmission: manual Mileage: 1013The E-Type design owed much to that of the racing D-Type, a monocoque tub forming the main structure while a tubular spaceframe extended forwards to support the engine. Conceived and developed as an open sportscar, the Jaguar E-Type debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1961 in coupé form. The car caused a sensation, spontaneous applause breaking out at the unveiling, with its instantly classic lines and a 140mph plus top speed. In October 1964, the 4.2 litre model was released. The more powerful engine, all-synchromesh gearbox and Lockheed brake servo formed part of the new specification and made for a much more user-friendly car. Apart from '4.2' badging, the car's external appearance was unchanged, but under the skin there were numerous detailed improvements, mainly to the electrical and cooling systems, and to the seating which was upgraded to a more comfortable touring style. Top speed remained unchanged at around 150mph, but the main performance gain from the larger engine was more torque at lower RPM.This wonderful matching numbers example was originally delivered to Jaguar Cars, New York and has more recently been repatriated to the UK in February 2019. Since being imported this E-Type has undergone a comprehensive restoration and as such is offered in superb condition. Finished in British Racing Green with tan interior and green Mohair hood, this E-Type is simply stunning from all angles and it is easy to see where the superlatives emanate from. During the restoration, this E-Type was converted to right hand drive. The body was stripped to bare metal, repaired where necessary and resprayed in the resplendent British Racing Green paintwork it wears today. The engine and gearbox were extensively overhauled by marque specialists, Rushton Engineering at a cost of £14,742. Also present are invoices from E Type specialists totalling circa £30,000. The work undertaken includes a full retrim with new hood and hood frame, re-chroming of the brightwork and the fitting of new wire wheels, amongst various other works.Accompanying the car is a sizeable history file containing many invoices and photographs detailing the restoration, the Jaguar Heritage Certificate, and the current UK V5 registration document. This is a very well-presented car that has done very little mileage since the restoration and is ready to be enjoyed by its new custodian.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1971 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL Pagoda Transmission: automatic Mileage: 67526The Mercedes-Benz W113 roadsters, designed by Paul Bracq, were produced from 1963 through to 1971 and were known as the 'pagoda roof' SL. All models boast an inline six-cylinder engine with multi-port fuel injection. Rear-wheel drive configuration was complemented by independent rear suspension, a feature that greatly improved road handling. The 230 SL made a remarkable debut at the prestigious Geneva Motor Show in March 1963 where the famous German engineer Fritz Nallinger introduced it as follows It was our aim to create a very safe and fast sports car with high performance which, despite its sports characteristics, provides a very high degree of travelling comfort. This late Mercedes-Benz Pagoda example was originally registered in 1971 and is offered from a deceased estate. The beautiful car you see here today is the, nearly finished, culmination of the late owner’s restoration programme undertaken during his 17 year tenure of this stunning car. The recent paintwork is excellent as is the new carpeting and delightful retrimming of the interior. The matching blue hood is new and complements the high quality of the works undertaken. The car is accompanied by an impressive list of parts which we are informed should complete the restoration, this includes front grille, headlights with chrome surrounds, side glass, various rubber trims, badging and chrome work. At some point in the cars history it was fitted with a 2778cc Mercedes-Benz engine, this change is recorded on the V5C registration document which is present. Although the car runs, we are advised that the engine and brakes will need some attention to be fully roadworthy. Viewing is highly recommended; this desirable right hand drive automatic version is offered to auction at what can only be considered an extremely realistic price. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1966 Buick Riviera Transmission: automatic Mileage: 58850The name Riviera, Latin for coastline was deliberately chosen to evoke the allure and affluence of the French Riviera. First entering the Buick line in 1949 as the new, ultra-stylish, two-door pillarless coupé. The Riviera was redesigned for the 1966 model year, retaining its x-frame chassis, powertrain, and brakes, but its curvaceous new body was longer, wider, and unsurprisingly heavier. Headlamps remained concealed, but now pivoted behind the grille when not in use, and they were once again horizontally arranged. The Riviera retained the conventional rear wheel drive format. This second generation Buick is finished in Maroon with white interior and a matching white vinyl roof. These super stylish coupés are synonymous of American cars from the period. The impressive 7.0 litre V8 engine offering a delightfully smooth silky ride, with ample power available if required, this is a superb Riviera and one that is as good mechanically as it is cosmetically. The simple yet very effective dash layout is almost art deco like in its appearance. Equipped with power steering, automatic transmission, air conditioning and electric seat adjustment, it is easy to understand why these cars were in such high demand. This example is offered for sale with a UK registration document.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction.
