Later transferred into to NCB ownership and used at various locations including Chanters Colliery, Tyldesley; Wheatsheaf Colliery, Pendlebury; Parsonage Colliery, Leigh; Howe Bridge Colliery, Atherton; Gin Railways, Tyldesley; Bedford Colliery, Leigh. It was scrapped on site at Bedford Colliery in 1966. Oval cast brass in as removed condition, measures 11.5in x 8in.

It also saw use at Bickershaw colliery from where it was withdrawn and scrapped in 1981 with some parts saved for use on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway loco REPULSE. Oval cast brass in as removed condition, measures 11.5in x 8in.

Ex Cambrian Railway 15 class 0-6-0 supplied to the Cambrian in June 1919 as BP works number 5947, originally numbered Cambrian Rlys 42 and then GWR 873. Withdrawn from service in March 1954 and scrapped. Oval cast brass in as removed condition rear stamped Tender 873 so maybe used on the tender later or relates to the engine being a tender loco. Measures 9.75in x 5.75in.
BR-W brass cabside naming plaque ON THE 15TH NOVEMBER 1950 IN THE ERECTING SHOP AT SWINDON WORKS H.R.H THE PRINCESS ELIZABETH NAMED THIS ENGINE SWINDON IN HONOUR OF THE JUBILEE OF THE BOROUGH ex Collett Castle 4-6-0 numbered 7037. Allocated to Swindon and 81A Old Oak Common in March 1963 which is where the plate was removed. Scrapped at Cashmores Newport. Rectangular engraved brass measures 8.75in x 3.75in. NOTE This plate was fitted to the left hand side of the cab just above the cabside numberplate. A truly historic piece.
Worksplate THE HUNSLET ENGINE CO LTD LEEDS 12X18 No 1684 1931 ex 0-4-0 T supplied new to Hall & Co and used at Stoats Nest Quarry Redhill, then later moved to Kilmersdon Colliery, near Radstock in Somerset where it worked until the mid 1960's, after which it was preserved at the Bleadon & Uphill station museum. In 1968 it was purchased by the 1968 by the G.W.R. 1338 locomotive Fund, and moved to the Middleton Railway in 2006 and is awaiting restoration. Oval cast brass, face lightly cleaned, measures 11.5in x 8in.

Allocated new to 8B Warrington and withdrawn from 9A Longsight in February 1970 and sold to W. Hesslewood, Attercliffe. Oval cast brass in as removed condition measuring 11in x 6in. A rare plate from a class of 20.
Smokebox numberplate 8468 ex BR-W Hawksworth 0-6-0 PT built by the Yorkshire Engine Co in 1951. Allocated to 84E Tyseley for all its working life and withdrawn from there in 1960. It then appears that the numberplate was painted on the rear 5221 and used on that loco for some time. So two for the price of one!

A Pair of French Silver-Gilt Mounted Glass Scent-Bottles, each with engine-turned cover, in fitted gilt-metal mounted leather covered box, applied with masks and strapwork panels, the box 12cm highCondition report: Bottles with very minute edge chips to the glass and stoppers. The hinges are good. Metal covers with tiny dents. The outer case clasp and hinge functioning with some slight play in the hinge. Some light to moderate wear and scratches mainly on the leather to the edges. Lining with fading and slight wear only.
