1958 Austin Nash Metropolitan Series IIIMake: AustinModel: Nash MetropolitanYear: 1958Mileage: 34017VIN: HE6HCS64481Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: 264UXUTransmission: Contact AuctioneerThe Metropolitan was built by Austin at its Longbridge, Birmingham, plant, to be sold by Hudson and Nash in the United States as a small car, at a time when compact vehicles were a rare thing in the USA. From 1956 though, Austin started producing its own version to sell in the UK and other markets where Nash and Hudson didn't have a presence. This very colourful and attractive example was registered in July 1958 (as a UK car) and is now showing 34,017 miles on its odometer. Four previous registered owners are recorded. The vendor believes that the Metropolitan was resprayed between 2015 and 2019, with the front and rear bumpers also rechromed and the car rewired while the vehicle was in storage and not used on the road. Beyond this, the vendor's opinion is that there are no signs of restoration and all the panels are original with no rust evident within the chassis of body panels. The engine is described as 'original' and in 'fine fettle'. The recommissioning work to get the car roadworthy after its period of storage has involved the replacement of the clutch master cylinder as well as other miscellaneous work. A V5C has been applied for, but has not yet arrived from the DVLA. Other paperwork includes the summary of the online MoT history, with the last one expiring in July 2014, plus bills for the 2020 recommissioning work, and a report on the car's general condition.

This mk 4 Cortina is described as a very sound car in unmolested condition. It has an excellent V6 engine which is smooth, rattle and smoke free with great performance. Both the gearbox and drive train are very good as well as the brakes, handling and tyres. The car registers seven owners including the vendor since 2018 and has benefited from expenditure throughout the vendor's ownership. Comes complete with a file invoices dated 2019, MoT history 2016 to 2019 only, original operation and care book and spare keys. The mileage is recorded at 76,500. 1971 Rover P6 2200 TC Make: Contact AuctioneerModel: Rover Year: 1971Mileage: 58260VIN: 44102503AConfiguration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: ABW186KTransmission: ManualAlthough shown on its V5C as with a 2205cc engine model, and now wearing 2200 TC badges, this Mexico Brown Rover P6, with black leather interior, sunroof and boot-mounted spare wheel, started life as a 2000 SC, being registered in August 1971, over two years before the twin-carb 2200 model was launched by Rover. The chassis plate denotes a home market Series 2 car, but the engine number is that of a 2.2-litre unit. It's unknown when any conversion or restoration was carried out, as the vendor purchased the car in 2017 with no history (save for the dealer stating that it had recently had a new clutch, reconditioned starter motor, new gear stick bushes, ignition switch, rear brake calipers and reconditioned main bearings in the gearbox). However, a colour change was recorded in March 2016. The vendor covered approximately 3000 miles in three years with no serious issues, but has not used the car for the last two years and now feels it would benefit from some light recommissioning, including a new bonnet release cable as the current one is broken. However, the vendor believes that the car is 'generally in good condition for its age and a very useable classic'. The P6's odometer shows 58,260 miles, although this isn't warranted. The Rover's last MoT expired in October 2019, although as an historic vehicle, it no longer requires annual testing. The paperwork file contains the V5C, old MoT certificates from 2016 to 2018 and a copy of the purchase invoice from 2018. There's also a Rover 2200 owner's manual.
2002 Alfa Romeo 166 2.5 V6Make: Alfa Romeo Model: 166Year: 2002Mileage: 0VIN: ZAR93600000064571Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: VX02XTFTransmission: manualThe 166 was Alfa Romeo's flagship saloon from 1996 to 2007, with this example, registered in March 2002, being a pre-facelift example in a desirable spec with 190bhp 2.5-litre Busso V6 engine and manual transmission. The car is finished in Rosso Alfa with Nero leather decorated with the Alfa Romeo crest. Its specification includes MOMO electrically-adjustable and heated seats, a wood-rim steering wheels, 17in Teledial alloy wheels, ICS Intelligent Control System with colour screen, CD multichanger, climate control air conditioning, cruise control and electric windows and mirrors. Five former registered keepers are showing on the V5C and there is an MoT until May 2023. The history folder records 10 services between the original service book and supporting invoices. The bills show that four Pirelli Cinturato tyres were fitted in March 2018 and the front and rear brake pads and discs were replaced along with the brake flexi hoses in October 2019. There was a new cambelt, water pump, radiator and oil cooler in December 2019. A suspension refresh was carried out in March 2020 with new front and rear springs, rear shocks, droplinks and rear suspension arms. The MoT certificates on file go back to 2005. There's also the owner's handbook, service book and ICS instructions, along with a spare set of keys. It is, unfortunately, impossible to read the odometer as its display is pixelated - and has been since 2014, when 53,242 miles were recorded). According to the previous owner, the display was intermittent and last mileage noted was 82,123 miles in 2019, when the cambelt was replaced. Not much mileage has been covered since then - as evidenced by the tyres, which were fitted in 2018 as noted above, still have around 7mm of tread remaining. 1966 Ford Cortina 1600 GT MK1Make: Ford Model: Cortina 1600 GT MK1Year: 1966Mileage: 57337VIN: BA78FU34454Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: KOY829DTransmission: ManualThe GT was the mainstream performance version of the MkI Cortina compared to the motorsport-orientated Lotus variant. Launched in spring 1963, GTs had lowered suspension and 78bhp 1498cc engines. This example is fitted with a Lotus Cortina radiator, wheel rims and quarter bumpers. The V5 indicates that a 1.6 litre engine has been fitted. The vendor describes the car as having very good body and paintwork, although the front grille will require some fettling to fit better around the indicators. The car was registered in June 1966 and has five owners registered on its V5C including the vendor. As an historic vehicle, there is no current MoT as the Cortina is now exempt from annual testing. Little is known about the car as there is no paperwork beyond the V5C and hpi sheet. The mileage is recorded at 57,377. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR VIDEO PRODUCED BY ACA OF THIS CAR.

The current MoT is valid until June 2023 and four previous registered keepers are noted on the V5C. The very recent work carried out by the vendor includes dealing with the engine management light, changing the engine and transmission oils, and recharging the air conditioning. 'The car now drives how a well-maintained Mercedes should, and its condition is much admired,' he says.

While the recommissioning emphasis was on originality, the scooter has been upgraded to 12-volt electronics, with a Pinasco 177cc cylinder and lightweight flywheel fitted. The engine and clutch were all reconditioned by DiscoDez in the West Midlands. In the vendor's opinion, the Vespa is now fully ready for road-use. The Douglas was originally registered in September 1962 and is showing 35,286 miles on its odometer, albeit not warranted. The Vespa comes with its V5C, original buff logbook, owner's handbook, spare parts list, old 1969 tax disc, and a photographic record of the restoration. The barrel has been re-bored to over its maximum size, and while the silencer is good, the vendor notes that its chrome is faded and it has some small dents. The seat is worn, but the bike comes with a new cover, which will need fitting. The Bantam's odometer shows 20,429 miles, although this is not warranted. The paperwork file includes the V5C plus a copy of the original green logbook. There's also a copy of the new application for the retention of the original registration number.

1966 Riley Elf MK2Make: Riley Model: Elf Year: 1966Mileage: 22059VIN: RA252860378Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: OPB328DTransmission: manualThe vendor purchased this Riley Elf MkII (an upmarket Mini variant) in 2003 as a first car for his son, but after a year or so, he needed something more modern. So the Elf was pushed into a barn and remained there until this year, with the engine being periodically started. It has recently been cleaned and tidied, with the vendor telling us that the 'engine starts first time and sounds sweet'. However, the clutch and brakes are seized, although the vendor believes that all the electrics work and assumes that, if clutch was freed off, the gears would be okay. The car requires restoration, but is complete and believed original. The car was registered in December 1966 and 22,059 miles are showing on the odometer. Judging by the MoT certificates, this total is actually 122,059 miles. Documentation with the car includes the V5C (showing five previous registered keepers), old V5s and 13 MoT certificates from 1989 to 2003. The original BMC driver's handbook is present along with the BMC Passport to Service book and a selection of old tax discs

Its last MoT expired in November 2008 and, at some point, it has lost its engine and transmission. Thus major recommissioning is required to return it to the road or the track. The car was registered in September 1990. The mileage is unknown, as there is no longer a speedometer. The interior has been stripped out and now has sports seats with harnesses, a roll cage, and fire extinguisher system installed, as well as other competition fitments. The paperwork folder contains just the V5C as well as the RAC competition car log book.

No registration or VIN number can be found and there are no documents with the vehicle - although a numberplate, CVG 627Y, is inside, but it isn't known if it is related to this vehicle. The DVLA records CVG 627Y as belonging to a beige 1982 Mini Mayfair last MoT'd in 2009. The odometer on the Mini reads 40,134 miles.

The car comes with its V5C and a stack of invoices totalling around £7000, mainly from 2013 and 2014, although there are others from before and after this, dating back to the mid-1990s. There are also MoT certificates from 1994 (when the mileage was noted as 26,717) to 1999, 2001 to 2010 and 2013 to 2017

It was also featured in Retro Cars magazine in December 2006. Despite the preparation, the car, now in striking BL Vermilion rather than its original silver, hasn't been raced, according to the vendor who has owned it for nine years. The car was registered in January 1975 and now shows 3785 miles on its odometer. Reference to the online MoT history shows this to be 103,785 miles, with the 100,000-mile mark being passed in 2008. The last MoT expired in September 2017 at 103,705 miles. As an historic vehicle, the MGB is now MoT-exempt. The history folder includes the V5C and old MoTs, bills and service records back to 2012. These seem to suggest the repaint into Vermilion was carried out around February 2020. The Series V continued until January 1968, when production ceased. This example was registered in May 1966 and has had five previous registered keepers, with the last but one keeping it for over 12 years. The car is finished in a non-standard but attractive BMW Avus Blue, with a black leather interior. The vendor admits that while it presents quite well, it would now benefit from some further restoration and detailing. The original GT hard-top is fitted; there is no soft-top available. The recorded mileage is 83,473 miles, and while this can't be warranted, the very extensive history file does suggest this figure is accurate. We're told by the vendor that all the instruments work, and the overdrive operates as it should. The tyres are good, and surround wire wheels fitted with embellishers. A stainless steel exhaust is fitted and the bumpers have been refurbished. While, as an historic vehicle, the Sunbeam is MoT-exempt, a new ticket was put on it in May 2022. There are certificates from 1995 to 2017, when the car was SORNed. It was acquired in 2021 by the vendor, who has partially recommissioned it. The history folder is large and detailed. It features invoices, books, magazines, brochures, catalogues, tax discs, photographs and information/memorabilia from shows that the car has taken part in. Best of all, there is a handwritten log that lists all the work carried out from 1990 to 2015. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR VIDEO PRODUCED 19TH JULY BY ACA OF THIS CAR.
1999 RAM SC AC 427 5.8 V8 Make: RAMModel: SC AC 427Year: 1999Mileage: 2765VIN: SABTVR03599232375Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: BHJ511STransmission: manual While RAM Automotive cars look outwardly similar to other Cobra replicas, they are somewhat different under their double-skinned fibreglass shell. Rather than the usual ladder frame chassis, there's a full spaceframe instead, developed in conjunction with the race car constructors, Reynard, which gives increased rigidity and thus offers handling benefits too, as does the Jaguar XJ6-derived suspension. The steering rack is courtesy of an MGB. While many RAM Cobra replicas were fitted with a mildly-tweaked Rover V8, in some cases a large American V8 unit was used, to give giving similar performance to the original Shelby Cobra. That seems to be the case with this example, which has a 5811cc Ford V8 unit installed. The Scozia Metallic (a Fiat shade) car was built by the vendor in 1999, when it also passed an SVA test. We're told that the car has only had summer use and always been garaged. It was last on the road during 2016; the last MoT expired in June 2016. The odometer shows 2765 miles, which appears to be the total mileage since the RAM was built. The history folder includes the V5C (showing the vehicle as a RAM), which shows no previous owners prior to the vendor. There are also operating instructions on opening the bonnet, starting procedure and engine cooling, plus paperwork and receipts relating to the original build, including the SVA test and registration. The MoT certificates span 2002 to 2015, with the first one - in July 2002 - at 260 miles. The original build manual is enclosed with the paperwork too, as is a 2015 newspaper clipping from a show the RAM appeared at. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR VIDEO PRODUCED 15TH JULY BY ACA OF THIS CAR.
