The model appears in Near Mint condition and comes with its original outer box with storage wear marks, it has its certificate with it but does not have the original display case. MPH Models, Tim Dyke - A boxed MPH Models #1281 Talbot - Lago Le Mans 1952 Pierre Levegh Retired 23rd Hour - Engine. This attractive resin model was produced in December 2000 by Tim Dyke and is number 11 of a Limited Edition run of 25 models, and has 250 special features / modifications. Finished in Talbot blue, the model appears to be in Near Mint condition - there is some crazing to the decals on the bonnet and boot, with a tiny chip on driver side wing (only visible under magnifying glass). The model is mounted on a paved effect resin plinth, which also has an unattached photo etched plaque contained in clear plastic bag, and is housed in Mint plain white cardboard box with MPH branding. A 19th Century French Sienna marble and ormolu portico clock by Vincenti & Cie of Paris. The clock of architectural form with urn to top flanked by griffins. Central enamel and engine turned gilt dial with Roman numeral chapter rings & faceted hands. Two front facing marble columns with ormolu set mounts over a stepped marble plinth raised on turned gilt brass feet. Complete with key and pendulum. An 1830s silver lidded vanity set, all within a fitted walnut case. The box having brass inlay with a blue velvet and tooled leather interior. Each container having a cut glass base with silver hallmarked lids, each having engraved or engine turned detailing. The box having a fitted tray lifting to reveal further storage beneath and a drawer to the bottom. Lids hallmarked for London 1836, makers marks for Thomas Whitehead. The lock marked J. T. Needs 128 Piccadilly, J Bramah 124 Piccadilly. Case measures 18x 35 x 26.6cm.
