Ordered via Atelier Ferrari, this well-specified V12 flagship GT comes with a full service history and just 28,500 miles. The F12 Berlinetta was Ferrari's replacement for the 599 GTB and the company threw everything at it to ensure it was considerably quicker than its seminal predecessor, but also that it was more enjoyable at low speeds. It is able to be both GT and supercar, mixing front-engined packaging and civility with exotic, F1-inspired dynamic ability.Let's start with its seminal V12 engine, an EVO magazine review in 2014 stated 'Ferrari should be honoured for building arguably the greatest road-car engine of all time. The powertrain is surely the most remarkable, exciting and addictive of any car on sale today. It isn't just the power, staggering as that is, but the manner of its delivery. The final 2,000 revs to the red-line and the speed of the shift to the next gear are truly breath-taking. Similar in size to the Ferrari FF's engine but significantly re-engineered to produce more power, rev higher and ensure much quicker throttle response. It produces an almost unbelievable 730bhp at 8,250rpm (it revs to 8,700rpm) and 509lb/ft at 6,000rpm. All that power is smoothly transmitted to the 315-section rear tyres through a 7-speed dual clutch transaxle and Ferraris E-Diff. The results are startling: 0-62mph in 3.1-seconds, 0-124mph in 8.5-seconds and a top speed of over 211mph. Those acceleration figures put it ahead of a McLaren F1. Around Fiorano, its faster than an Enzo or even the ultra-extreme 599 GTO.'The F12 was also fitted with the latest evolution of Ferraris adaptive magnetorheological dampers (SCM-E), which react much more quickly, improved carbon-ceramic brakes and as ever, the relentless evolution of the many traction and stability systems sees huge gains in control and speed. Then there's the famous aero-bridge - ducts set into the front wings - which reduce drag and improve downforce, plus active brake cooling ducts that only open when the discs are getting really hot, to reduce drag. The list of technical highlights is almost endless! Ferrari retained an aluminium chassis for the F12 but new materials increase stiffness and reduce weight. The car presented here is a UK-supplied, right-hand drive, 2013 Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, supplied new by Carrs Ferrari of Exeter in August 2013. The original owner chose carefully from Atelier Ferrari to include Rosso Scuderia exterior paint with Scuderia Ferrari Shields, 20'' Anthracite alloy wheels, yellow brake calipers, advanced front-lighting system (AFS) and a reversing camera. In addition to the normal luxuries, the interior benefits from having Charcoal Grey seating with Cavallino Rampante stitching on the headrests and a satellite navigation system.Ferrari Main dealer service history:January 2014 - 3,705 miles at Carrs Ferrari, Exeter September 2015 - 4,110 miles at JCT 600 Ferrari, Leeds August 2016 - 9,928 miles at HR Owen, LondonNovember 2017 - 14,238 miles at HR Owen, LondonJanuary 2019 - 16,406 miles at HR Owen, LondonJanuary 2020 - 18,869 miles at HR Owen, LondonFebruary 2021 - 21,210 miles at Jardine Ferrari, ColchesterOctober 2022 - 24,819 miles at Carrs Ferrari, ExeterNovember 2023 - 27,655 miles at Carrs Ferrari, ExeterThe current indicated mileage is a little under 28,500 and the car will retain the desirable registration number 'F12 ALO'.This formidable V12 Ferrari is the complete package and represents tempting value. Its appeal, design, technological advances and performance are all still hugely relevant today and in such pristine condition, it really is very special. Saleroom Notice - Please note the base car was placed on an insurance loss register in 2003. Offered without Reserve from the Recreation Collection, professionally converted in 2006 and registered with the DVLA as a Banham, this pretty little Speedster is worthy of attention. The Recreation Collection was assembled by a gentleman, now deceased, who had a passion for cars, owning at one stage some 38 vehicles. A particular enthusiasm of his was for replicas of the rarest and therefore most expensive examples. Judging by the receipts on file and the high prices paid in period, he could’ve bought at least one real example for the price he paid for the others! These are special cars and worthy of serious consideration, offered, tantalisingly as they are without Reserve.A very smart example of Porsche’s iconic speedster, which was built by Rutland Performance Ltd. using a Banham kit based on a 1995 Rover 100 and the V5C lists the car as a Banham two-door convertible. Finished in gleaming black and powered by a1.4-litre petrol engine. The history file is detailed with historical receipts, Rutland build invoices, past MOTs, the most current of which is valid until 30th September 2025.Presented to auction with a smidge under 7,000 miles and a great opportunity without Reserve.SpecificationMake: ROVERModel: 100Year: 1995Chassis Number: SAXXPHWWDBD063449 Registration Number: RTX 545Transmission: ManualEngine Number: 14K2DK38180791 Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 6691 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: BlackClick here for more details and images
Charming AVJ Royal Mail van sympathetically restored and returned to service. Succeeding the popular AVH, the Austin AVJ Van arrived in 1935 and featured Girling brakes, a three-bearing engine and a redesigned flatter roofline. They were the last vans to be made before the more rounded, Ruby-style vans appeared in 1937.On offer here is #AVJ1814, first registered on 24th September 1936 and originally finished in blue. Little is known of DGH 327 until it’s recorded as being purchased by the Post Office-owned Bamber Bridge Central Workshops in 1981 prior to its restoration.Between 1981 and 1982, DGH was recreated as a 1936 Royal Mail postal delivery van with particular attention to detail including the complex interior letter racking which suggests that the work was carried out by Post Office fitters such is the level of accuracy. The little van was allocated its own fleet number, 00-00-01, and entered service from 1982 onwards to be used as a promotion vehicle at a time when postcodes had just arrived and very few people used them. With the vehicle is a copy of a theatrically staged postcard in Toad Lane with a friendly postman leaning out the window of DGH and a request for your ‘postcode’ support on the back. We understand that it remained on the Royal Mail ‘fleet’ until its purchase by the previous owner in 2004 and was used sparingly attending shows etc., until his passing in 2022 when it became part of a private Collection. It's still delightfully presented in Royal Mail livery and colours, finished in Post Office Red with painted Royal Mail logos, black wheel arches and black painted wire wheels. The inside appears period correct in black vinyl, cream paint and black carpets in the front.A rare sight on the roads today and with a fascinating history, we believe this charismatic little Austin would be a welcome addition to any Collection.Specification Make: AUSTIN Model: SEVEN VAN Year: 1936 Chassis Number: 249377 Registration Number: DGH 327 Transmission: Manual Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Make: RHDClick here for more details and images
A most elegant Derby Bentley, sporting Vanden Plas coachwork and propelled by the divine 4¼-litre engine, ideal for pre-war rallies and events and offered without Reserve. After a period of reflection and prevarication, Rolls-Royce decided that a sportier version of its 20/25 model could establish a niche for itself in the marketplace as a luxury sports tourer. Having explored various options, it was decided to power the new sporting Bentley with a more highly tuned version of the 20/25 unit - a six-cylinder, pushrod engine fitted with twin S/U carburettors, increased compression, improved con rods and modified cam profiles, with a capacity of 3,669cc. Built at Derby alongside Rolls-Royce and launched in September as, unsurprisingly, ‘the 3½-Litre’, the new model possessed excellent handling characteristics and could achieve a top speed of 97mph when fitted with lightweight bodywork.Polite muttering amongst Bentley aficionados that the 3½-litre was, perhaps, a little underpowered was addressed in 1936 when Rolls-Royce introduced the enlarged 4,255cc engine, with the new car naturally being entitled the 4¼-Litre.Over the years, Derby cars were fitted with a wide range of body styles by a number of established coachbuilders, clearly illustrated in 2023 when 60 Derby Bentleys returned to Crewe to celebrate the 90th Anniversary and between the cars, there were 40 coachwork styles showcasing the bespoke bodywork for the model in the 1930s. Included within those coachbuilding companies was London-based Vanden Plas who had forged its not inconsiderable reputation by a most fortuitous alliance with Bentley, bodying some c.700 of the latter's chassis during the 1920s, including the Le Mans team cars. With its 4¼-Litre engine and versatile Drophead Coupé body by Vanden Plas, B-199-LE is a particularly fine example of a late Derby Bentley and we understand that it was restored by respected French restorers, Le Coq, in the 1970s and since then has benefited from major work over the years by LMB in Belgium and Fiennes Engineering in Clanfield leaving the car in tip-top condition. It was treated to a very expensive repaint in April 2023 in Midnight Blue and still displays a remarkable depth of shine with even panelwork and good shut lines. The Dove Grey leather is generally very good as is the dashboard and woodwork, however the silver grey carpets would probably benefit from a clean. The engine bay is simply splendid, nicely detailed and a source of pride. According to our vendor 'The navy blue mohair roof folds easily down and may be raised and lowered by just one person' and additionally 'the engine runs in silence and is both strong and powerful, starting readily'. The car’s history file contains a number of invoices for maintenance, repair and restoration over the years and makes fascinating reading. It's worth noting that this car is fitted with the optional 3.64:1 rear axle ration which is almost identical to the MR & MX 'overdrive' series of cars and consequently is very long legged and relaxed at speed. Overall, this is a very handsome Vanden Plas Derby and being offered without Reserve, we imagine will attract considerable interest.Professional images to follow.Specification Make: BENTLEY Model: 4 1/4-LITRE Year: 1938 Chassis Number: B-199-LE Registration Number: FGW 263 Transmission: Manual Engine Number: A6BN Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Make: RHD Interior Colour: Dove Grey LeatherClick here for more details and images
An extraordinarily low-mileage and high specification example of one of Crewe’s rarest long wheelbase, turbocharged limousines. Introduced as a limited edition model of the Silver Spur III for the 1995 model year, the Rolls-Royce Flying Spur was the first Rolls to be fitted with a turbocharged engine and naturally, the chosen powerplant was Bentley's well established 6.75-litre turbocharged V8, as found in their much admired Turbo R. Performance was more than adequate, especially considering the Spur's substantial 2,387kg, with the Bentley's 385bhp whistling its cossetted occupants up to 60mph in around seven seconds and onwards to a less than respectable 150mph. The Turbo R’s settings for its adaptive damping and self-levelling suspension were also borrowed for the new car meaning the Flying Spur was as enjoyable to drive as it was to be driven in.The Silver Spur III's exemplary standards of equipment and finish were not just maintained in the new model but enhanced, the most noticeable change being the adoption of separate rear seats and the reinstatement of folding picnic tables. Often hailed as the last of the 'old school' Rolls-Royce that started with the Silver Shadow of 1965 and aimed at the owner-driver, but with rear passenger refinement unparalleled when compared with contemporary rivals.Interest was strong and it quickly became clear that there was enough demand for more than the 50 cars Rolls-Royce initially intended to build. By the time production concluded, 134 Flying Spurs had left the factory with, we understand, only 43 in right-hand drive. This beautiful example appears to have been the 23rd built with assembly commencing on October 5th 1994. Ordered in the fabulous deep and velvety hue of Wildberry with Sandstone hides piped in Wildberry, very few boxes were left unticked on the order sheet with the car benefitting from matching lambswool rugs, silk privacy curtains, figured Walnut veneers, twin cocktail cabinets, a Sony VCR system with headrest mounted screens, electric sunroof, rear blind and the automatically retractable Spirit of Ecstasy atop that exquisite chromed grille. A further addition was the Mulliner Park Ward Hooper limousine rear window, a rare and expensive option. When complete, the car was delivered to HR Owen in London on 25th January 1995 prior to being shipped to a wealthy industrialist in, what was then, the British province of Hong Kong. It remained there, in the care of, we believe, a single owner until 2022 when it was brought home and extensively recommissioned before becoming the property of its first UK custodian. To date, the car has covered a mere 19,537 miles and is supplied with its original book pack, bespoke toolkit and its current MOT valid until 28th July 2025. As can be seen from our images, it remains in simply exceptional condition, a credit to its keepers. If you have reached a point in your life where you feel that you deserve a bit of a reward without being too extravagant, then this gloriously presented and rather rare Flying Spur may well be the answer.Specification Make: ROLLS-ROYCE Model: FLYING SPUR Year: TBA Chassis Number: SCAZG03C3SCH55292 Registration Number: M122 LYU Transmission: TBA Engine Number: 81754L410M/TKR Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 19537 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Sandstone LeatherClick here for more details and images
From a renowned Private Collection, an astonishing Escort RS Cosworth Lux with just 2,221 miles and only two owners from new. Iconic Auctioneers are renowned worldwide for offering the best Performance Fords on the market at auction and occasionally we are offered what can only be described as 'unrepeatable' cars. We have little doubt that this remarkable Escort RS Cosworth is unlikely to be matched in terms of its originality and 'as new' condition for some time to come.Just like the Lancia Integrale and Subaru Impreza, the Escort Cosworth was a 'Group A' rally car for the road - pure and simple. It was actually underpinned by a shortened version of the Sierra RS Cosworth's platform and powered by the same 2-litre turbocharged, longitudinally-mounted, Cosworth-developed engine driving all four wheels. The car was designed and engineered in Boreham, styled by noted designer Stephen Harper and ended up being assembled by Karmann in Germany. The Escort RS Cosworth was an 'homologation special' and its only role was to incorporate parts that Ford planned to use in their rally cars to ensure success in International Rallying. That success duly followed between 1993 and 1998 in the World Rally Championship for Manufacturers, but the road cars were very rare - with just 2,500 of these very focussed motor cars being built, becoming known as 'big-turbo cars', all capable of 150mph and easily identified by the aptly named 'Whale Tail' rear spoiler. This particular example is a stunning, UK-supplied, right-hand drive car finished in Diamond White with the desirable Lux-specification which included full leather, an electric sunroof, electric heated mirrors, heated windscreen, heated washer jets, leather steering wheel, electric windows and carpeted door bins. It has been a cherished part of the significant Collection from which it is offered and having been acquired almost 30 years ago, the car has been cosseted by both its first keeper, from whom it was purchased with just over 2,000 miles indicated and our late vendor who, it would appear, has added minimal mileage in the intervening years. We understand that it was regularly taken to shows in the 1990s, presumably by trailer and featured at an Autoglym Invitation Concours in 2009 where it sat alongside a Shelby Cobra belonging to the renowned petrol head and celebrity chef, James Martin. The odometer currently displays a remarkable 2,221 miles, supported by the car's first two MOT Certificates from 1995 and 1996 showing 2,217 and 2,218 miles respectively, providing evidence of how little the car has been used. In between its trailered outings, it has been part of the family living in our vendor's house in recent times.Given the lack of use in recent years, it has been decided to bring the car to sale following a thorough pre-auction preparation by the respected Tremona Garage of Southampton. The car will arrive at the NEC in a 'ready to drive' condition, although it won't be put through an MOT (it's a bit academic considering it's only covered three miles since the last one) and given that it doesn't currently sit on the DVLA system and may well become part of another Collection where daily use is not a factor.Once an integral part of one man's Collection of all the very best that Ford had to offer, we are sure that this 'as new' Escort RS Cosworth will find another home where it is equally treasured.Professional images to follow. An incredible time-warp single owner Deux Chevaux with just over 550 miles from new and offered without Reserve. The Citroën 2CV is unquestionably one of the most enduring archetypes of global car culture. It helped put the French working class on wheels, especially important after the ravages of WWII and offered basic transportation, a boon to the French economy both from a transportation and a manufacturing standpoint. There are a number of ‘urban myths’ concerning head of Citroën, Pierre-Jules Boulanger’s 1930s vision for the future but, allegedly, the new car had to be able to 'transport four peasants with 100kg of farm produce to market at 50kph in clogs and across muddy unpaved roads if necessary. The roof had to be high enough, enabling driver and passengers to ride whilst wearing their Sunday hats to church, the car’s fuel consumption would need to average 90-95mpg, it should be able to drive across a ploughed field without breaking the eggs it was carrying and above all, it had to stay within the ‘two horsepower’ fiscal bracket to remain affordable'.We doubt whether any of that (apart from the 2CV bit) was in Boulanger's original design brief but what was actually required included a small, economical engine that could be easily fixed, a modular panel construction that was easy to screw back together, long travel suspension that offered an easy ride over everything from ploughed fields to rutted lanes and of course a rag-topped aspect that eschewed security and luxury for the most down to earth motoring experience. The aesthetic appearance was secondary, with functionality the only consideration. It was a transport solution that could replace the traditional pony and trap – and it had a roof! There are many stories about the origins of the Citroën 2CV. In fact, most of its early history appears to be anecdotal, however, it doesn’t really matter as all those stories, tall or otherwise, simply add to the little car’s charm. One story that's definitely not anecdotal is the remarkable tale of this 602cc, Vallelunga Red, 2CV6 Spéciale. French production having finished in 1988, this example was built in Portugal and rolled off the line on 12th June 1990, the final cars doing so just weeks later on 27th July. It was registered by the supplying dealer in Somerset on 9th August which is presumably when our vendor's father took delivery. He took a shine to the car looking lonely in the corner of the dealer's showroom and was, perhaps, also aware that final-editions of iconic models often increased in value over the years if used sparingly. Our vendor, a former international athlete and now an acclaimed sports journalist, was only six-years old when the Citroen arrived home and, naturally, enjoyed a ride in dad's funny little French car. Over the years, when she returned home, she was aware that the car was still there, " wrapped in cotton wool", but it came as a total surprise when it was gifted to her on her 21st Birthday, something that Dad had been planning for years. What a lovely story.Despite not being used during that period, we understand that it was regularly started and maintained as required. Fitted with electronic ignition, the only modification we understand from when it left the factory, it still bears many of the quality inspection stickers that would have been present when it rolled off the production line. She has enjoyed the car occasionally when at home, with the odometer now displaying the grand total of 557 miles from new, however, the loss of its storage space now gives us the opportunity to bring it to sale.Rarely does a car of this age with just one registered keeper come to light, even less so when it is a model with such cult status, and offered as it is at No Reserve, we anticipate that collectors will abound. An iconic car at an 'Iconic' sale - absolutely appropriate. UK-supplied, right-hand drive E46 M3 in Titanium Silver, 6-speed manual gearbox and just over 34,000 miles. BMW’s third-generation M3, the E46, took the hearts of real sports car fans by storm when it was launched in 2000. With a lightweight construction and its high-revving, in-line six-cylinder engine, it embodied, for many, a return to the virtues of the legendary first-generation cars, the E30. Priced on a par with the Porsche Boxster S, the E46 M3 was streets ahead in performance, challenging the much pricier 911 and Audi RS4. Stiffened, wider-tracked with big wheel arches and a massive front spoiler, it packed a 343bhp 3.2-litre ‘S54’ straight-six engine substantially re-engineered by the 'M' division. All cars were officially limited to 155mph, although Autocar’s test model happily topped 170mph.The pre-delivery inspection for this manual-gearbox Titanium Silver Metallic M3 was carried out by BMW main dealer, Wellways of Bath, on 27th December 2001 for delivery to its first owner in the New Year 2002 and consequently it's regarded as a 2002 model. The service book contains a further seven stamps, corroborating the remarkably low mileage of just over 34,000 and the current MOT is valid until June 2025.Probably the last of the true analogue M3s with the harmonious S54 3.2 engines, these high quality build Coupés can only appreciate and still represent incredible value as a true 175mph super handling offering from Bavaria.Specification Make: BMW Model: M3 Year: 2002 Chassis Number: WBSBL920X0JR01610 Registration Number: TBA Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 60962671 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 34164 Miles Interior Colour: Titanium SilverClick here for more details and images
Just 40,600 miles backed up by an extensive history file. A stunning example of one of Crewe’s biggest hits. From the time it was introduced in 1966 until its final year in 1980, the Silver Shadow was the mainstay of the Rolls-Royce brand. Offering a stylish and more practical alternative to the Silver Cloud it replaced, with unibody construction, hydraulically actuated four-wheel disc brakes and four-wheel independent suspension, it was infinitely more modern and directly appealed to the new class of owner-driver.One of the few features carried over from the earlier car was the overhead-valve V8 engine, which displaced 6,230cc until 1970 when it was increased to 6,750cc. The engine's power output was generally considered to be around 200bhp but, 'like a gentleman', Rolls-Royce never told - a myth that added a certain cachet to Shadow ownership, only spoilt when it became a requirement of certain European registration authorities for outputs to be declared and there it was, 189bhp. Although never considered a fast car, with the help of a General Motors 3-speed automatic transmission, the Silver Shadow was very smooth, quiet and capable of rapid and comfortable cruising. This stunning example was supplied new to the Collier family in London in 1975 by Jack Barclay specified in Caribbean Blue with a Light Blue interior. It was chauffeur-driven from day one under the Collier family and it stayed that way until 1992, when it was acquired by the Maxwell family of Hampstead who kept the car for 17 years until 2009. The car has been garaged and maintained regardless of cost throughout its life, evident in its bright chrome and the paintwork's deep and even shine in a colourway that's uplifting even on a dull day. The extraordinary mileage of 40,600 is supported by extensive paperwork, including every MOT back to 1980. Factory air-conditioning is a wonderful touch, as is the presence of the original toolkit. A large history file is present which contains the ownership timeline, the current MOT and the original book pack which includes the instructions for the original Blaupunkt stereo. An extraordinary example. The Silver Shadow is rightly coming of age as an eminently drivable car with stylish good looks and great road presence. Over the years, it's moved from being an 'old Rolls-Royce' to a seriously cool classic, becoming attractive to a much younger demographic. To find a Shadow with just over 40,000 miles and low ownership is rare and we encourage your inspection of this pretty Caribbean Blue example at our NEC sale. One of 108 original right-hand drive examples of the rare MkV Drophead in superb condition. The Jaguar MkV was officially unveiled on 30th September 1948 and launched at the London Motor Show a month later, sharing stand space with the XK120. Whilst the XK120 stole the show, the MkV vastly outsold it by roughly 3,000 cars per year. The MkV retained the Standard Swallow (SS) drivetrain including the overhead-valve pushrod straight-six 2½ and 3½-litre engines, the 3,485cc six being rated at 126bhp. The chassis was new, introducing independent front suspension with double wishbones and torsion bars, a feature of many future offerings from Jaguar and it also had hydraulic brakes and an all-pressed steel body. The standard saloon was attractive, but the three-position Drophead Coupe was truly magnificent. The lovely canvas top had working Landau irons and could be fully fastened, folded half way back to give a Sedanca appearance, or lowered into a full convertible position. When open, it was easy to see the opulent leather and wood interior. Just 108 right-hand drive 3½-litre Drophead Coupes were produced, as most were built for the left-hand drive export market.Built in 1950, this rare Australian-supplied 3½-litre example spent the vast majority of its life down under, benefitting from a Concours-level restoration by renowned restorer Peter Leach in the 1990s. Upon completion, the car was traded between collectors within Australia until it was repatriated in 2021. Finished in its original colours of Royal Blue with a cream leather interior, we understand that it retains its original engine and four-speed manual gearbox.SXS 806 presents well in its original colours of Royal Blue with a cream leather interior and the Australian climate has been kind to the underside which is impressive. Since its arrival back in the UK, it's been looked after by marque specialist and SS gurus, Davenport Cars.Supplied with a large history file, this is a rare opportunity to purchase one of the most beautiful 3.5-litre, MkV Dropheads, one of just 108 built. A late production example, this XK has been beautifully restored by Jaguar specialists, CMC. A car-starved Britain, still trundling around in perpendicular pre-war hangover vehicles, glimpsed the future in October 1948 with the launch of the Jaguar XK120 at the Earls Court Motor Show. Production commenced in 1949 in Coventry, and the XK's swoopy shape and stylish occupants would become a common sight on British roads over the next 15 years. It heralded the arrival of Jaguar's famous 3.4-litre twin overhead camshaft XK engine, (the basis of all their engines for the next 25 years) with an alloy cylinder head and twin side-draught SU carburettors producing nearly 160bhp. The '120' referred to the car's top speed which, at the time, made it the fastest production car in the world. Jaguar seems to have always had a flair for marketing and to illustrate that the car's top speed was not a figment of a publicist's imagination, in May 1949, on the Jabbeke to Aeltre autoroute, an XK120 with its hood and side screens in place recorded a speed of 126mph, and no less than 132mph with the hood and windscreen detached and an undertray fitted. The car was in almost instant demand and went on to spawn the famous XK lineage of fast and elegant sports cars. This particular XK120 Coupé was originally built in left-hand drive during December 1953 and dispatched to New York prior to being registered there early in 1954. Returning to these shores in the late 1990s, it was converted to right-hand drive and fully restored. Invoices and photographs in the comprehensive history file and records on XK Data show that the work was carried out by Roger Austin Learmonth and subsequently featured in his book Petrolhead. Upgrades at the time included the fitting of a 4.2-litre XK power unit and period bucket seats to enhance legroom. Now finished in beautiful Opalescent Blue with a red leather upholstery, the car was further updated with a louvered bonnet with straps and wire wheels, all designed to make it ideal for European touring. It was re-registered in the UK during July 2003 and used extensively until being sold to our late vendor (a characterful bon viveur and friend of Iconic Auctioneers owner, Nick Whale) in 2016. It was bought for some £115,000 at the time as probably the very best example of an upgraded model available. However, our late vendor was particularly fastidious and wanted the very best car available to enjoy and with which to tour Europe. Consequently the services of renowned specialists, CMC of Bridgnorth, were employed and between March 2017 and December 2019 the history file illustrates that some £88,824 plus VAT was invested in rebuilding this car for a second time and the results are really impressive. Naturally, this work was recorded and fully detailed in a selection of invoices which need to be studied in order to understand the sheer level of detail applied to every aspect of this rebuild to, what can only be described as, the ultimate standard. Shortly after all this work was completed, our vendor got to enjoy his 'pride and joy' on a trip to Le Mans during which the Jaguar performed faultlessly, however, a little later, he sadly fell ill and was not able to spend much more time in his beloved XK. So today, this is a remarkable opportunity for someone to own a very special motor car that has had all the money spent in the right areas, and with the best people, and take WAS 210 on to the next stage of its journey. We invite and encourage your close inspection of this stunning motor car and its fascinating history file in order to fully appreciate the quality on offer and be pleasantly surprised by the very realistic guide price.Specification Make: JAGUAR Model: XK120 Year: 1953 Chassis Number: 681302 Registration Number: WAS 210 Transmission: Manual Engine Number: F1430-8 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 4673 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Red LeatherClick here for more details and images
Rare UK-supplied WRX-STi Type UK. Collector's quality modern classic with just one owner from new. The 2002 Impreza WRX STi Prodrive-style Type-UK was a second generation, four-door saloon, built for the UK-market between October 2001 and February 2002. Available in WRC Blue Mica or Midnight Black they were powered by the traditional 1,994cc, DOHC flat-four generating 265bhp fed to the road through full-time four-wheel drive with viscous limited-slip centre differential (VCD-F4WD).Differences to the regular WRX include special gold-coloured spoked alloy wheels, colour-keyed sill spoilers and an interior featuring blue suede-effect seats with STi logos and red stitching for the steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake lever. Inside - and sure to please enthusiasts - is a switch to spray the intercooler with water. Another device allows the driver to pre-set a warning buzzer and light to guard against over-revving the engine. On opening the bonnet, the engine compartment greets owners with a dramatic mixture of colours and detailing. The intake manifold, for example, is painted in red and the enlarged aluminium intercooler emblazoned with STi lettering. In addition, the STi Prodrive style features a massive high-riding boot spoiler, newly designed sill spoilers and a deeper, squarer front bumper all designed to resemble the WRC rally car. Interior enhancements over the standard STi include dark blue-coloured instruments with red needles. This smart Midnight Black example was first registered on 17th July 2002 and has been enjoyed by one lady owner since then. It was fitted with a Prodrive performance pack in 2003 by the SubaruWelch Group at a cost of £2,000 with the invoice on file. The current indicated mileage is 44,743, corroborated by the service book containing eight stamps, the last @ 43,859 miles on 5th July 2023 and every MOT from new. It's also accompanied by its current and two previous V5Cs, the service pack and user manuals, both keys and two fobs.In production for only a few months and with a specification designed to suit UK-buyers, it's not surprising that the Type-UK has consistently remained in demand. A fine example of pure, post-war, space-age influenced Americana, superbly restored and subtly upgraded. The start of things to come. No one would have guessed that the low-key arrival in the US of a number of ex-POW German rocket scientists during late 1946 would influence the direction of automotive design for a decade in the 1950s and 1960s. These men were undoubtedly the world’s leading experts on rocketry and rocket propulsion and their knowledge turned the long-established American dream of space travel from a fantasy into a possibility.Although modern historians consider Sputnik’s launch in 1957 as the start of the Space Age, its aesthetic can be traced back to at least a decade earlier when rocket ships, spaceflight and nuclear energy entered the public consciousness. Dream cars designed by Ford’s Advanced Styling Studio and others were never actually built, but they included several of the era’s most distinctive design characteristics - aerodynamic tailfins, sleek silhouettes, curved edges and missile-shaped ‘hood ornaments’ that could probably impale you. However, some eight years earlier, Oldsmobile replaced their flathead straight-six with a 303ci, 135bhp V8 entitled 'Rocket' that kicked off a generation of horsepower wars, spaceship-inspired designs and elaborate mid-century details. The Oldsmobile logo of a globe surrounded by rings was selected to convey the 'universal' appeal of the brand, and the Olds steering wheel centre features the Saturn-like representation of our world on a background of jet-age stars. For 1948, and carrying into 1949, Oldsmobile gave its flagship 98 Series a freshened look that drew heavily from the marque’s Futuramic styling concept. That year, Futuramic design language was applied to four 98 body types on the 125" wheelbase chassis including the convertible. In period advertising, Oldsmobile promised that the 1949 Futuramic offered 'the dramatic design of the future — the finest of functional modern design in any field'. While the styling of the Futuramic was a great success, perhaps the bigger news was the 303in3 Rocket V8 engine for 1949. By any definition, the Futuramic was a luxurious cruiser born to 'rocket' down the road in comfort and style. This particular example has clearly being restored to a superb level with subtle upgrades to enhance not only performance, but also the style and driving enjoyment that only a piece of 1950s Americana can provide. The external styling alone turns heads whenever out on the open road, underlined by the 'bookie's cap' windscreen visor and typical space age adornments through to the Cadillac hubcaps, all enhanced by acres of chrome. It's been mechanically upgraded with a slightly later 1955 Rocket engine fuelled through a four-barrel Edlebrock carburettor and turning a mild cam to produce, we understand, around 300bhp fed through the 4-speed Hydromatic automatic gearbox. Internally, the style and luxury continues with typical period details and chrome highlights including subtly fitted air conditioning all adding to the overall feel of the superbly trimmed interior. With post-war American vehicles currently enjoying a surge of popularity, this glorious Rocket 88 can be used and enjoyed to the maximum, be that out on the open road or on the show field. Your early inspection is welcomed and encouraged to fully appreciate this very early 'space-age', trend-setting, Oldsmobile rocket-ship.Specification Make: OLDSMOBILE Model: ROCKET 88 Year: 1950 Chassis Number: 508C24414 Registration Number: 136 XUT Transmission: Automatic Engine Number: TBA Drive Side: Left-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 55641 Miles Make: LHD Interior Colour: Red / Magnolia ClothClick here for more details and images
The Property of a Gentleman, a C16 UK car supplied to Jersey and showing just 16,300 miles from new with an incredibly detailed history file, reams of main dealer receipts and original service book. The 996 is the internal designation for the Porsche 911 model manufactured and sold between 1998 and 2005. On its debut, the 996 featured the most significant changes to the Carrera model since its 1963 introduction, namely the water-cooled engine replacing the previously air-cooled unit. Progressively stringent noise regulations, environmental concerns, a higher expectation for refinement and a high-performance, four-valve per cylinder engine made the switch necessary. Other changes included a sleeker body with a more steeply raked windshield and a redesigned interior. The performance characteristics remained superb with reliability at its core. The Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2001 bought the most significant changes to the 996. In addition to a more powerful 3.6 litre-engine and styling changes to the existing model range, there were two new models – the C4S and Targa. Visually, the main change to the Carrera 2 and 4 was to the front wings and lights, incorporating those from the Turbo model which was introduced in 2001. This gave it a noticeably different front-end look to the Boxster, as it was a common comment that they looked too similar. The front and rear bumpers were modified to give a ‘skirt’ effect around the bottom edges, giving them a slightly more aggressive appearance. Engine capacity was enlarged from 3,387cc to 3,596cc and there was a resulting power increase from 300bhp to 320bhp at 6800rpm. Maximum torque was up from 258ft/lb at 4,600 to 273 ft/lb at 4,250rpm.This, C16 UK-supplied Carrera 4 Tipronic S Cabriolet with just 16,300 miles from new has one of the most detailed main dealer and marque specialist service historys of any modern low mileage sports car. Very well known multi Championship-winning Twin-Cam now returned to pristine condition, with a remarkable restoration. By the time the Escort first came out in 1968, Ford were already firmly wedded to the marketing strategy of 'win on Sunday, sell on Monday' and were keenly aware that they would need a race/rally version to take over from where the mighty Lotus Cortina had left off. To this end, Ford’s Boreham-based competition department had been quietly beavering away on a Lotus-powered Escort that was ready to roll as soon as the standard models hit the showrooms. Called the 'Twin Cam', the hot new Escort immediately excelled on the international race and rally circuits, winning countless events and securing Ford the coveted World Rally Championship manufacturer’s trophy in its first year of production, a feat which it also repeated the following year.Introduced in 1968 in very limited numbers for homologation purposes, the Escort Twin-Cam is now one of Ford's most revered cars and still regarded as a formidable road car. Based on a reinforced Type 49 body shell with wider wheel arches, quarter bumpers, uprated suspension and front disc brakes as standard, it was powered by a Lotus-designed, 8-valve twin camshaft head mated to Ford’s 1.5-litre pre-crossflow block bored out to 1,558cc offering 110bhp and 115mph. Only 883 Twin-Cam models were made before production ended in 1970 to make way for the BDA-powered RS1600. The car presented here is a very special Twin Cam - NBH 769H was an early production example, bought brand new from the Aylesbury Motor Company in 1969 by Mick Briant – the hugely successful British rally driver who won the Motoring News Championship three times, the BTRDA and the Welsh Championship. Mick has documented his illustrious history in British National Rallying in three books in which NBH 769H features. Mick recounts his exploits in the car with much enthusiasm: 'I don’t recall my actual first outing (in NBH 769H), but my first National event was the January 1970 Rally Bristowe, with Mick Mancy navigating (numerous photos of the pair appear in one of Mick’s book, 'Do you have to drive like that?'), we managed eighth overall out of 150 starters'.Mick went on to endow NBH 769H with an upgraded engine, courtesy of Racing Services of Twickenham, stroking and boring the original block and taking it out to 1,860cc. The engine was dry-sumped, had a steel crank and rods, Cosworth pistons and L1 cams, big valves and some other 'trick' bits. Mick states: 'I don’t recall the actual power output, but it was the best engine possible until the 2-litre alloy-blocked Cosworth BDA become an option'. Mick recalls that NBH 76DH went onto receive the de-rigueur big arches of the time and a colour change to orange (which coined the car the nickname 'The Orange Box').He did several rounds in the prestigious Motoring News Championship in NBH 769H, always finishing in the top ten and in 1971 Mick won the London Counties Rally Championship in NBH 769H, with Donald Close navigating. The car was renewed in-period and returned to white bodywork with a black bonnet that displayed the ‘Go Perrys’ livery (the Ford dealer in Aylesbury). NBH 769H is listed as 'Escort 1860' (car #40) on the entry list of the 1971 Jim Clark Memorial Rally, in which Mick drove (with Peter Robinson navigating), and of which a photo exists of the car on the start line.In 2017, our vendor (a rally enthusiast, driver and car collector) acquired NBH 769H and entrusted it to master engineer, Andrew Stapley of ASM Classics in Kent, who specialise in restoring some of the best classic Fords in the UK. Over some four years, our vendor has invested c.£65,000 in bringing this venerable rally car up to a remarkable standard. So much so, it was invited to be displayed at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2021, where after nearly 50 years apart, Mick Briant and Peter Robinson were reunited with the car, plus some of its navigators, all autographing the inside of the doors (captured in photos and video).ASM's expert attention included a full renewal of the Twin-Cam signature paint colour, Ermine White (with black bonnet and in period livery), its big-arch Type 49 shell, its revered Lotus Twin-Cam engine (with associated dyno readings), its DCOE Weber carbs, 4-speed gearbox, competition clutch and pressure plate, English axle (with 4.7 diff ratio & LSD), coil sprung front Bilstein suspension, leaf sprung rear, plus the addition of Cibie spotlights and a whole host of mods to make this into a formidable period rally/fast-road car.NBH 769H has only been used sparingly since its complete restoration, residing in our vendor’s private Collection, but notably, it was driven ‘up the hill’ at Shelsley Walsh by our vendor and indeed, one Mick Briant – again, all captured for posterity and provenance. MOT'd and 'match-fit', this is a turn-key classic performance Ford. This really is a special car and deserves to be fully appreciated and enjoyed by a similar enthusiast. Now US-eligible, this sensibly guided Bayside Blue Series I might be the final opportunity to own an R34 GT-R at a reasonable budget. Whilst many of the PlayStation generation will have first experienced the drama of the R34 GT-R V-Spec through Gran Turismo, it was an appearance in The Fast and the Furious franchise that led to an explosion in global popularity for the R34 GT-R. Indeed, the late Paul Walker drove an R34 GT-R in 2 Fast 2 Furious, enhancing its almost cult status. But it was in the 'real' world where the R34 GT-R would cement its reputation. Described by Evo magazine as 'a warrior-class performer' in its 2007 road test, where a standard R34 GT-R was pitted against the likes of a McLaren F1, Pagani Zonda, Ferrari F40 and Bugatti Veyron, the GT-R's reputation as a class-act remained intact. It may not be able to claim the original 'Godzilla' moniker as that remains with the R32 GT-R, but the newcomer definitely carried the torch and arguably the R34 GT-R has become the most recognised car ever to emerge from Japan in their late-1990s golden era. Synonymous with the late Paul Walker who had a true passion for the R34, managing to own two of the 14 examples to have been federalized in the early 2000s. As soon as the The Fast and The Furious franchise used the GT-R as the hero car in their series, the popularity of the R34 surged worldwide and continues to remain on that upward trajectory to this day.The R33 GT-R was a good car, but many found it to be too bulky in design and too heavy to be a worthy successor to the R32 GT-R, which the R34 sought to rectify and did so with flying colours. Released with a shorter, sharper design and the performance to match, it’s safe to say the bite truly matches the bark. For a car released in 1999, the R34 came crammed full of technology including a 5.8" LCD multifunction display in the dashboard showing seven different live readings of engine and vehicle statistics such as boost pressure, oil/water temperature and throttle percentage among others. It arrived with aggressive new styling, a stiffer bodyshell and a reworked version of the bulletproof and highly modifiable RB26DETT twin-turbo, inline-six mated to an all-new Getrag 6-speed gearbox and transfer case. The electronically controlled Super HICAS rear-wheel steering system was retained. Unlike some other performance cars of the 1990s, Nissan did not neglect the braking system and fitted Brembo brakes with 300mm vented discs. This Bayside Blue (TV2) R34 GT-R Series I presents in good condition and with the exception of the larger exhaust system, remains in almost totally standard guise, seldom seen on these JDM machines. According to the R34 'bible', the GT-R Registry, the car was produced in May 1999 and spent the vast majority of its life in Japan until being imported to the UK in 2022. As a Series I JDM-delivered example, it's one of just 2,709 out of a production run of 11,578 cars. As is common with JDM imports, there is minimal Japanese history with the car but the history file does contain the original Skyline handbook and service book with the first two inspections completed, both housed in the original Nissan wallet.Upon its arrival in the UK in 2022, the car was registered and MOT’d, showing 93,098km (57,848 miles) at the time and upon completion, it lived a pampered life seldom emerging from its garage-stored hibernation. In 2024, the car was sent to Nissan gurus, Litchfield Motors, for a full service and remedial works to sort a few minor issues and to bring it up to standard once again, at a cost of £4,244.67. It has subsequently been MOT’d and now displays 93,891km (58,341 miles), showing it has covered just 500 miles on UK roads. Crucially, being an early production car, it is now eligible for US-import, an itch that many will have to scratch, having surpassed the obligatory 25-year import rule. With the way R34 GT-R prices have skyrocketed so easily into six-figures in recent years, this cherished example is surely the last chance to acquire such a desirable car for a reasonable outlay, especially considering the 25-year import rule legalising these cars in the US means that values may well move on even further.Specification Make: NISSAN Model: SKYLINE R34 GT-R Year: 1999 Chassis Number: BNR34004259 Registration Number: T897 YDC Transmission: Manual Engine Number: RB26 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 60000 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Grey ClothClick here for more details and images
As a right-hand drive, UK-market 3.0 Carrera, this car is rare and special enough, but factor in a full restoration by a renowned Porsche specialist and you have a seriously desirable 1970s 911. Introduced in September 1975 for the 1976 model-year with production only running until 1977, the interesting Carrera 3.0 is rightly regarded as somewhat of a special and rare model amongst the impact-bumper era 911 model range.Following on after the MFI-engined Carrera 2.7, the 3.0 Carrera heralded the adoption of the newly developed Bosch K-Jetronic CIS fuel-injection engine. This torque-rich, smooth and free-revving 3-litre engine with a distinctive ‘cam' effect from 4,000rpm produced 200bhp and was effectively a naturally aspirated version of the 930 Turbo's drivetrain.During its short two year life span, only 3,687 cars were built - a tiny amount compared to nearly 58,000 911 SCs and 76,500 3.2 Carreras produced. Of these, 2,564 were Coupés and 1,123 were Targas with only around 1,064 Coupés being manufactured in right-hand drive. Very few right-hand drive cars reached the UK and with just a two-year production run, only 121 Carrera 3.0 Coupés are verified by their chassis numbers with Porsche Club GB - and this is one of them. The car presented here is a 1975 (1976 M-Y) Porsche 911 3.0 Carrera Coupé and as confirmed by its chassis number, #9116600249, it is an early-production example of the highly-revered 3.0 Carrera. We know some of its early history; it was first registered in the UK on 13th November 1975, wearing registration RWS 113 (which it wore for 11 years). By 2007, its registration was MHR 570, it was Midnight Blue and it was not adorned with a rear spoiler, having covered 88,508 miles (according to an old MOT Certificate). At this time, according to the DVLA, it was exported out of the UK. In 2015, it was specially sourced by classic Porsche specialist Jon Miller of ‘Classic Carreras’ in Limerick, a business so well known and respected that Porsche Club Ireland members used to make an annual pilgrimage to it! Jon imported the car into the Republic of Ireland, selecting it for his own Collection/potential future project and by 2022 it was indeed the subject of a ground-up, nut and bolt restoration to the exacting standards expected of Classic Carreras (see images of it attached in their workshop).Towards the end of the restoration process, our vendor – himself a collector of best of breed classic cars – approached Jon with the intention of buying the car. A deal was struck and our vendor has enjoyed the car for the last few years, using it sparingly on dry days only around roads of County Clare. It has not disappointed, being a proper driving machine and turning heads wherever it goes. It is now being offered for sale at a tempting auction estimate, considerably less that it would cost to source and restore such a desirable 1970s Porsche. As one of the rarest UK-market production 911s, and considered perhaps the most ‘en-vogue’ model of the marque’s back-catalogue, this fully restored example represents good value against the 930 Turbo and is the smart choice for those who respect history and rarity. Please note VAT will be due on this lot at a rate of 5% on the hammer price and buyer's premium plus the prevailing rate on the buyer's premium if the car is to stay in the UK.Specification Make: PORSCHE Model: 911 3.0 CARRERA COUPE Year: 1975 Chassis Number: 9116600249 Registration Number: TBA Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 6669074 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Make: RHD Interior Colour: Tartan / BlackClick here for more details and images
Very well specified, 992.1 GT3 Touring in Gentian Blue with a bespoke interior and just over 2,200 miles. For over 20 years, Porsche’s GT3 has cemented its legend within the 911 dynasty, one which enhances the 911’s natural penchant for performance with additional flair and emotion. Powered by a high-revving, naturally aspirated flat-six linked to the rear wheels by – ideally - a manual gearbox, the GT3 is the purist’s 911.In February 2021, Porsche introduced the GT3 version of the eighth-generation 911, the 992. The numbers were very impressive; 3,996cc, 24v, naturally aspirated flat-six, 503bhp @ 8,400rpm, 347lb/ft @ 6,100rpm, 6-speed manual gearbox, rear-wheel drive, 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds, 199mph and 22mpg, however, it’s not simply numbers that separate it from its predecessor, the much revered 991. A new front suspension design utilised a double wishbone set-up rather than MacPherson struts and rose-joints allowing Porsche’s engineers to increase camber stiffness, and give the front tyres a far more consistent surface contact patch. In order to maximise the benefit of the performance from the double-wishbone set-up at the front, the multi-link rear suspension was also totally revised. Weight was saved in a number of areas including lightweight glass, new front wheels, new rear fascia, stainless exhaust and a carbon rear lid resulting in the new car weighing the same as the 991 GT3 even though it's physically larger. In 2017 the ‘Touring Package’ was introduced giving a new focus to the GT3’s capabilities. It's brief, to refine the magic of the Motorsport department and make this 911 more suited to the road. Still retaining the winged GT3’s explosive 500bhp engine, the Touring’s more subtle styling proved captivating. The most obvious difference is the omission of the standard car's distinctive swan-neck fixed rear wing replaced by an automatically extending rear spoiler which generates downforce at high speeds whilst maintaining the classic 'flatback' 911 profile. In the case of the 992 GT3 there are only a few aesthetic details that distinguish the Touring from its be-winged sibling including painted front bumper inserts, aluminium window trim (rather than black anodised) and more interior surfaces trimmed in perforated leather and brushed aluminium.Supplied new by Porsche Centre Swindon and first registered on 30th May 2022, this right-hand drive, 4-litre 992 GT3 Touring was ordered in Gentian Blue Metallic with an Exclusive Manufacture Mojave Beige interior.Obviously no expense was spared when it came to ticking the option list which includes; 7-speed PDK, Touring Package Exterior in Black, PPF, Exterior Mirror Upper Trims Carbon, Lightweight Roof Carbon, Exclusive Design Taillights, LED Matric Main Headlights, Lifting System Front Axle, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB), Exclusive Manufacture Mojave Beige Interior, Adaptive Sports Seats Plus 18 Way with Carbon back insert, Seat heating, Chrono Package, White Rev Dial, Steering Column Casing Leather, Bose Surround Sound System, Park Assist Rear including Reversing Camera and a Spare Key.It's been with its current owner for 18 months and has two former registered keepers. Beautiful coachwork finished in Nero Daytona complemented by Crema leather, 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds and just 29,353 miles from new. The Ferrari 599 succeeded its predecessor, the 575, in the summer of 2006 and brought the front-engined V12 Grand Tourer into the modern age. Whereas the 550 and 575, even at their introduction, always felt like modern classics, the 599 was every inch a new-age Ferrari. The all-aluminium chassis, F1 SuperFast gearbox, F1-Trac stability and traction control, magnetic semi-active dampers and carbon-ceramic brakes, all wrapped in aggressive, aero-optimised bodywork with minimal overhangs and maximum presence was a mission statement. Top billing, though, went to the engine - a lightly modified version of the Enzo's 6-litre V12 with a mighty 611bhp at 7,600rpm, endowing Ferrari's new series-production flagship with truly sensational performance with 0-62 in 3.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 205mph. Of the 3,500 Ferrari 599 GTB F1 Fioranos produced globally, the United Kingdom’s share, as is the norm with right-hand drive Ferraris, amounted to under 10% of the total production. Online resources confirm that there are currently 301 examples registered in the UK.This delightful 599 GTB Fiorano F1 was supplied new in the UK on 1st December 2006 with few option boxes left unticked. The well chosen combination of Nero Daytona with recessed Scuderia Ferrari shields complements the Crema trimmed carbon fibre bucket seats, black top roll and matching carpets, highlighted by carbon fibre and aluminium inserts. The factory-fitted equipment includes dual-zone climate-control, electrically adjustable seats with driver memory function, electric windows, rear parking sensors, a carbon fibre-trimmed steering wheel with LED shift lights, an electrochromic rear-view mirror, leather headlining, a Giallo tachometer and a premium Bose sound system, enhanced by a more modern Pioneer unit with Bluetooth connectivity.Sitting four-square on 20" ‘Monolithic’ alloy wheels, housing Rosso callipers with carbon-ceramic brake discs and shod with Pirelli P Zero tyres, the 599 is perhaps the most handsome V12 GT Ferrari since the Daytona, designed, as they were, to be both beautiful and monstrously capable. A true GT car should raise the odd eyebrow when first introduced and then age gracefully, they should never be vulgar and we wonder how the aggressive coachwork of the 599’s successors will look in time. This glorious 599 is presented to auction freshly serviced with some 29,353 miles, its dealer handbooks, a well stamped service book and advisory free MOT Certificate valid until May 2025. It's also accompanied by the original toolkit in its tan leather case, a car cover and we are pleased to confirm the Cherished Registration Number V12 FSH is generously included in the sale.Specification Make: FERRARI Model: 599 GTB FIORANO Year: 2006 Chassis Number: ZFFFD60C000149552 Registration Number: V12 FSH Transmission: Automatic Engine Number: 109009 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 28000 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Crema LeatherClick here for more details and images
A time warp example, with just 11,846 miles from new and showing zero former keepers, this is a fabulous little rarity. The Dolomite Sprint was launched at the 1973 Earls Court Motor Show as the sporty variant of Triumph’s ever popular Dolomite. While the standard Dolomite and the Sprint shared the same platform, the upgrades were plentiful with the Sprint. Mechanically, it benefited from a overhead camshaft (SOHC) 2-litre engine now producing 127bhp, a near 30bhp uplift over the standard 1.8-litre Dolomite allowing 0-60mph in 8.5s! The handling was more performance orientated with independent front suspension and a tweaked live rear axle. Aesthetically, the Sprint had a sportier look with a more aggressive stance and the all-important ‘Sprint’ badging. In the seven year production run between 1973-1980, according to the records there were 22,941 Sprints produced, with a worryingly large number of those cars now being laid to rest in the great scrapyard in the sky due to chronic rust issues. To find an untouched example in lovely condition these days is a hard task, but that is exactly what is on offer here. The story behind this 1975 Dolomite Sprint is wonderful. It was bought new, enjoyed, then parked up in the owner's garage and left untouched for decades. The original owners were certainly perfectionists as the car still retains its original plastic interior door card covers.Since its discovery, it's been entrusted to marque expert, Ken Clarke Motorsport, for a full mechanical recommissioning with the emphasis on maintaining originality and that has undoubtedly been achieved. The car now runs and drives beautifully, whilst retaining all its original features, paintwork and chromework. It's accompanied by invoices, bills and paperwork that corroborate the remarkable indicated mileage of 11,846.The Dolly Sprint was rightfully lauded in period as it was an approachable and affordable way into a sporty small saloon. Rear-wheel drive, powerful revvy engine, competition pedigree and all in a 1970s saloon with not a Blue Oval badge in sight. They sold like 'hot cakes' and, in common with 'hot cakes', there aren't many left. The words ‘time warp’ and ‘barn find’ are thrown around a lot in today’s classic car market, however to find a car that is unequivocally a 'time warp barn find' yet functions exactly the way it should is very special. The words ‘find another’ couldn’t be more prominent with the Dolomite, and what a fabulous example this is.Specification Make: TRIUMPH Model: DOLOMITE SPRINT Year: 1974 Chassis Number: VA6143DL Registration Number: GDE 707N Transmission: Manual Engine Number: VA006056HE Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 11846 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Blue VinylClick here for more details and images
Offered without Reserve and from the Grand Tourers Collection with an odometer reading of 25,706 miles offering great value great value. The Grand Tourers Collection was curated by a now deceased gentleman, who amassed some 38 cars at one stage. Each car stands on its own merits, and represents an era of stylish roadsters and hand-built coupes. Offered without Reserve, the cars are worthy of serious attention.Series 2 E-Types were produced from 1969 to 1971 and can be identified by their open headlights (no longer with glass covers), a wrap-around rear bumper with the taillights now underneath and the front indicators were larger and similarly repositioned below the slightly heavier front bumpers. The cooling was much improved helped by the enlarged 'mouth' and the later cars featured twin electric fans and uprated brakes. The engine is easily identified visually by the change from smooth polished cam-covers to a ribbed appearance and for US-spec cars, twin Stromberg carburettors were used. The interior and dashboard were also redesigned, with flick switches being substituted by rocker switches to meet US-regulations.This charming left-hand drive Series 2 E-Type left the factory with arguably the best combination of a 4.2-litre engine and a 5-speed manual gearbox in April 1970. Destined for the United States, the history file shows registration documents for a Mr Mark Davies of Pearland, Texas. The car was repatriated to the UK on 1st November 2015 according to the accompanying V5C. Presented with a history file with the aforementioned Texan Title documents, maintenance and parts receipts and an advisory-free MOT valid until the 25th September 2025.Estimated keenly and offered without Reserve this car deserves serious consideration with an odometer reading of 25,706 miles.Specification Make: JAGUAR Model: E-TYPE Year: 1970 Chassis Number: P1R44015 Registration Number: EGU 848H Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 7R40031-9 Drive Side: Left-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 25705 Miles Make: LHD Interior Colour: RedClick here for more details and images
A stunning and incredibly rare 'Rouse Sport' Sierra Sapphire Cosworth R-304 with just 2,882 miles and two recorded keepers from new. Iconic Auctioneers are widely recognised for bringing the very best examples of all things Performance Ford to the market and this superb example epitomises that standard completely. The Ford Sierra Cosworth needs no introduction. The RS500 has long been seen to be the epitome of the range, but occasionally a car emerges that is so rare that maybe, just maybe, there may be a new challenger for the crown.Ford launched the Sierra Sapphire Cosworth in 1988 to such acclaim, a four-door equivalent of the renowned three-door with just a little more ability to satisfy the family when needed, but still delivering almost supercar performance. Given the undoubted success of all things Ford with an RS badge, the decision was made to produce a limited run of just 200 in conjunction with Andy Rouse, four-time Touring Car Champion, which would feature a number of slight design tweaks on the already successful formula. It was originally planned to build 100 of each in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive format and they would be offered at a premium of around £4,500 over the standard Cosworth model. Upgrades included a bespoke body kit/aero pack with a body-coloured 'C' pillar, a smaller Garrett T25 Turbo and remapped ECU providing a further 40bhp, plus slightly larger tyres and an upgraded interior including model-specific Rouse seats and door cards with optional mahogany accents. In truth, the timing of the launch, the additional cost for the upgrades and the already successful standard car meant that Ford were never destined to make the full 200 cars planned. Dealers understood that the majority of buyers wanted the four-wheel drive cars and consequently it appears that the total numbers of Rouse Sport Sapphires may have only been around 100, with the majority, 78, being the 304-R.With just 2,882 warranted miles, the car we present here is almost certainly the lowest mileage and most original example of the model in existence and stored sympathetically with its original wheels and tyres removed, it still retains that indefinable 'new car smell'. This astonishing car is accompanied by correspondence from Andy Rouse to all buyers explaining how every car was hand-built by his team, personally checked and road-tested by him and asking buyers 'to respect their name and use it in a responsible manner'. It's supplied with the complete owners book pack, three MOT Certificates, various other marketing leaflets and paperwork relating to various car shows etc.The car is currently being fully recommissioned prior to the sale by the respected Tremona Garage and will be refreshed and running well at our NEC Sale. #23, with less than 3,000 miles covered during its 34 years existence, is sure to be in demand amongst collectors of rare, low-mileage, high performance Classic Fords and the premium of £4,500 over the standard Sapphire Cosworth paid back in 1990 may well have proved a sensible investment.Specification Make: FORD Model: SIERRA SAPPHIRE COSWORTH ROUSE SPORT 304-R Year: 1990 Chassis Number: WF0FXXGBBFLM68299 Registration Number: H304 HPD Transmission: Manual Engine Number: LM68299 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 2881 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Black LeatherClick here for more details and images
Late production 2CV fully restored and attractively presented as a 'Michelin Pneus' Fourgonette. Offered without Reserve. The 2CV Van was launched in 1950 as the AU. In 1954 the engine was uprated from 375cc to 425cc and the model renamed AZU. It was to remain in production until 1972, with many detail changes over the years and was the last A-Series to keep 'old-style' mechanicals, with 425 engine and chassis-mounted pedal gear. In 1972 the AZU 250 saw the coachwork changed from 'small-ripple to large ripple' and the installation of the 435cc engine, first seen in the Dyane 4 in 1968 and the 2CV4 in 1970. With a few mechanical changes, it became the AZU 250 GA (Grandes Administrations) in 1975, and production ceased in 1978.On offer here is an interesting 2CV AZU 250 that is excitingly offered without Reserve. Looking like a 1950's support vehicle from the Tour de France, this Citroën was restored by Pete Abbot of Deux Chevaux in Lincs, one of the UK’s most respected 2CV specialists. The van features 1950s style genuine Citroën ripple bodywork and is not to be confused with fibreglass replicas. Sitting on a galvanised Citroën chassis, it's powered by a later 602cc unit fitted with 123 electronic ignition making it an eager starter and very economical. Disc brakes assist retardation when fully loaded and the van sits on nearly new Michelins. The easily removable large wooden roof rack can carry 8 x 4 sheets and this, combined with the large van rear, makes this a really effective load carrier (within reason!). It's very well presented in the iconic Gris Clair colour scheme with attractive 'Michelin Pneus' graphics. The 2CV is accompanied by a big box of spares containing belts, starter motor, indicator lenses, LHM fluid, gaiters etc. There is also a good history file with restoration photos, UK V5C etc. Excitingly offered without Reserve, this could make a great light commercial vehicle or just a genuinely fun item to use and enjoy.Specification Make: CITROËN Model: 2CV Year: 1978 Chassis Number: AKAP01AP9445 Registration Number: CFE 854S Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 0483083214 Drive Side: Left-hand DriveClick here for more details and images
Now with something of a 'cult-following', these supremely well engineered 'super-saloons' are highly coveted. From long and dedicated ownership, this is very fine example. The legendary Lotus Carlton is the kind of car that comes along once in a generation. At a time when really fast four-door saloons were the preserve of BMW and Mercedes, this Vauxhall (the Opel-badged LHD derivative was the Lotus Omega) derived 'super-saloon' arrived on the scene, demolishing the opposition. Oddly, it wasn't its huge performance or masculine good looks that created the most fuss, but the fact that the Daily Mail was so outraged by its stated top speed of 176mph that it declared it too fast for British roads. Of course, the Lotus Carlton - or Type 104 to Lotus aficionados - was nothing of the sort and although it shared its major components with a mainstream executive car, its level of development across every aspect of automotive dynamics had resulted in a truly special performance car.Production of the Lotus Carlton began in 1990, four years after the original Carlton/Omega went on sale. Vauxhall/Opel had hoped to build 1,100 cars in total, but owing to the recession of the early 1990s, the Lotus Carlton, priced at £48,000, was not selling as well as anticipated, and production at Lotus was halted in December 1992. Only 950 cars were completed: 320 Carltons and 630 Omegas, 150 short of the original target. It was powered by a twin-turbo version of the venerable straight-six used in the range-topping Senator, which developed a remarkable 377bhp. To achieve that figure, Lotus had put a lot of work into the 3.6-litre power unit, uprating and strengthening the bottom end, porting the 24-valve cylinder head (from the Carlton GSI), and fitting forged 'slipper' pistons made by MAHLE atop new Lotus-designed connecting rods tied to a counterweighted, forged steel crankshaft. The gearbox was the same 6-speed used in the Corvette ZR-1, the only transmission in GM's parts bin, capable of handling the car's monster torque. AP 'Group C' derived brakes - 4-pot calipers with 330mm ventilated discs at the front and 2-pot at the rear - sat behind specially developed Goodyear tyres. Performance was brisk, to say the least. 0-60mph came up in five seconds, 0-100mph was dispatched in 11.1 seconds and in 1992, Autocar magazine recorded a time of 17 seconds for their 0-100-0 challenge, second best behind an F40, however it's the car's maximum speed of 176mph that will always be quoted by its fans. The car presented here is a 1993 Vauxhall Lotus Carlton #809 (denoted by a unique plaque) of the 950 produced, first registered on 8th March 1993, making it late-production example. According to our vendor, who acquired the car in May 2011 (covering only c4.000 miles since then), some of the car’s early life involved a ten-year stint in storage due to it not being required as a daily-driver. Our vendor, an engineer and Lotus Carlton aficionado, has overseen a significant amount of work to the car, including an engine-out rebuild, a new clutch, timing chain, valve guides, water pump, injectors, whilst the twin turbo unit was overhauled. It also benefits from a new fuel tank and stainless-steel exhaust.Likewise, the exterior has seen the body-kit professionally removed and painted, whilst the bonnet has also been painted to tidy up the stone chips. The interior, although still all original (Grundig in-car entertainment system as fitted to the later cars, rather than the earlier Blaupunkt system) does, in some minor places, look a little worn; the seats and headlining are in very good order though. The car is accompanied by its original model-specific book pack, original tool roll, two keys and its original OEM spec exhaust system.Reports do vary, but the usually reliable ones suggest there are only around 70 Lotus Carltons taxed in the UK – a rather exclusive club!'Sledgehammer' was the word often used to describe the performance of these saloons, but Vauxhall footnoted promotional content with the words 'Very few will be made, very few will understand or appreciate it fully'. More than 30 years later, it's fair to say that we do understand and with climbing values, it's undoubtedly fully appreciated.Specification Make: VAUXHALL Model: LOTUS CARLTON Year: 1993 Chassis Number: SCC000019N1232428 Registration Number: K781 APD Transmission: Manaul Engine Number: 30N60858 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 92500 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Black leatherClick here for more details and images
This low-mileage family-friendly 456 offers a sensibly guided entry into the addictive world of Ferrari V12 GTs. Produced from 1992 until 2003, the Ferrari 456 and later 456 M are front-engined Grand Tourers in true Ferrari tradition and were an overdue replacement for the outdated, front-engined 412 which had been the company's premium four-seat V12 car for many years. The name 456 refers to the fact that each cylinder displaces 456cm3 and this was the last Ferrari to use this naming convention. Despite its supercar performance, 436bhp, 0-60mph in 5.2 seconds, and a top speed of 188mph, the 456 has a relatively unstressed engine which has proven to be a very reliable unit. Its looks are smooth and understated and distinctive external features include a small grille with fog lights on the outside, bonnet-mounted air scoops (removed on the 456M) and pop-up headlights, making this the last Ferrari to do so. The model was warmly received by press and enthusiasts alike and although not produced in large numbers, was always gently in demand by 'silver-haired' Ferrari owners before the 456M was eventually replaced in 2004 by the 612 Scaglietti.Finished in gleaming Blu Le Mans with a natural tan interior, this 456 GTA was delivered new to Hong Kong in 1997. Within the history file there are service receipts from Auto Italia in Hong Kong. We understand that the Ferrari has had one former UK-keeper prior to our vendor and the odometer currently reads 37,551km (23,333 miles). Attention in the UK includes the window upgrade, a cambelt service by Keys Motorsport in March last year (£3,600), a replacement immobiliser in Feb 2024 (£600) and a further service in March 2024 by Migliore Cars (£6,060). The car is accompanied by multiple service invoices and a 456 Owners Manual.Good looking and practical, Ferrari 456 GT four-seaters are now getting the attention they have so long deserved, with the inevitable upward movement in values so, as they say in Italian, 'Battere il ferro quando egrave caldo' (Strike whilst the iron is hot).Specification Make: FERRARI Model: 456 GTA Year: 1997 Chassis Number: 107464 Registration Number: P841 GPE Transmission: Auto Engine Number: 44771 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 37500 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Cream leather interiorClick here for more details and images
UK-supplied, rare and collectible two-keeper 260Z with just 29,600 miles and sensibly estimated. As emission controls increasingly diluted the 240Z's performance, Nissan sought to restore some of that lost power by stroking the engine out to 2,565cc from 2,393cc, boosting output to 162bhp. It retained the classic good looks of its smaller engined predecessor and the model's appeal was broadened with the addition of automatic transmission and a 2+2 model based on a longer wheelbase platform with a higher roofline to increase cabin space. This exceptional example is finished in the rarely seen Wine Red Metallic (611) with a black cloth interior. It was supplied new by C. Ward Garages Ltd, the Datsun main dealer in Stevenage, on 24th August 1978 to its first of only two keepers, a Mr Donald Stewart of Palace Place Mansions, Kensington and pleasingly, the original Bill of Sale for £6,263 less a trade-in allowance for a Triumph TR7 remains in the car's history file. The file also contains the V5C, eight old MOT Certificates, an invoice for the first service by C. Ward with a matching stamp in the book, the original service book with four stamps, the last at 24,191 miles in October 1992, a copy of the original enquiry for a 260Z responded to by Datsun of Baker Street dated July 1978 and an original sales brochure with this car believed to be on the front coverThe second custodian acquired this special 'Z' car in 2015 and commenced a sympathetic recommissioning, returning the car to top form. The file contains numerous receipts for parts etc. including a bespoke stainless steel exhaust built by him to finish it off. This 260Z represents a rare opportunity to own one of these iconic Japanese sports cars in a rare colour with just 29,600 miles from new. One of only 295 right-hand drive UK-cars, this 20-valve RR is on offer from long term ownership after much recent expenditure. The Audi Quattro may not have been the first four-wheel drive production car (that honour belongs to the 1966 Jensen Interceptor FF), but its place in history is assured. Thanks in no small part to its enormous rallying success, the Quattro popularized all-wheel drive and is now regarded as one of the most influential and important sports cars of the 1980s. By the time the 20V (RR) arrived in 1990, the crude cable-operated 50:50 split differential had been replaced with a much more advanced Torsen (torque sensing) diff and the engine had been uprated with double overhead camshafts and a larger 2,226cc capacity, upping power to 217bhp.Supplied new by Audi Main Dealer Keith Garages of Aylesbury on 28th October 1991, this Crystal Silver Audi Quattro 20V (RR) has only had two previous owners and has been with our vendor for ten years. Purchased by him in 2014 after an exhausting search to find the best and most original in the market place, as he started to build a Collection of 1990s icons. The comprehensive history file contains multiple invoices from Audi specialists, the original sales invoice to the second owner in 1992 and many stamps in the original service book. In November 2021, it was subject to extensive mechanical work by SJH Motorsport Ltd to ensure it remained mechanically sound. The work included a full engine service including cambelt and pulley, water pump, alternator and power steering belts, new radiator core, rocker cover gasket, plugs, rotor arm, distributer cap, powder coat boost pipes, new manifold gaskets, water rail gaskets, fuel filter, clean injectors and flow test, powder coat fuel rail. Both front and rear subframes were removed and painted and old bushes replaced. The front wishbones were refurbished and new ball joints fitted. All roll-bars and links were fitted with new bushes and new Koni dampers were fitted. New wheel bearings were fitted and new top mounts. All new bumps stops and drive shaft gaiters were fitted and the springs were repainted. The rear diff mountings were renewed together with the rear wishbones and ball joints. All differentials fluids were drained and refilled. All the discs, pads and master cylinder were renewed, a new clutch fluid reservoir was fitted, the repainted sub-frames were Waxoyled, four-wheel alignment was checked and finally, all work was signed-off with a road test. The Audi Quattro 20V (RR) continues to be regarded as one of the most desirable modern classics and, with the vast expenditure lavished most recently on this cared-for example, it certainly warrants consideration. Every 'proper' car Collection should contain a US Military Jeep; highly collectible and this is a very good example of the more sought after Ford GPW derivative. Today, Jeep stands alone as a brand in its own right, however, for the first three decades of the marque’s life it was known, formally and informally, as Willys Jeep. That’s ironic, as Willys-Overland did not actually ‘invent’ the Jeep - that feat is attributed to engineer Karl Probst, working at the American Bantam Car Company in Butler, Pennsylvania. Created to respond to a World War II Quartermaster Corps RFP for a light 4x4 vehicle, Bantam’s entry met the specification requirements but was underpowered compared to the competitor from Willys, which turned out to be too heavy. Ford’s Pygmy was praised for its agility, but its tractor engine was also underpowered. In the final accounting, the Willys was judged best value. Bantam, moreover, lacked the capacity to produce the quantity that the Army needed, so Willys was contracted as the principal supplier in July 1941 (Bantam got a contract for utility trailers as a consolation prize). As the War outside the US continued, a second supplier with deep resources was called for, so Ford, runner-up in the RFP evaluation, joined the march to war in October 1941. Since standardisation was paramount in military logistics, the Ford Jeeps were all but identical to the Willys MB models. This meant using a clone of the 134 cubic inch L-head Willys four and interchangeable running gear. Production of the Ford GPW began in January 1942 and by war’s end, nearly 278,000 had been delivered, second to Willys’ 362,800, but not by much.Ford-manufactured Jeeps are recognisable by their pressed-steel grilles as opposed to the Willys' slat grille style. The Ford GPW Jeeps are, so say, more sought after than the Willys as the Ford GPW was only manufactured during WWII, so by default it must be an original wartime vehicle. Willys, however, continued with Jeep production after WWII so unfortunately there are many non-WWII vehicles masquerading as original wartime vehicles. The vehicle presented here is a 1943 Ford GPW 'Willys' Jeep (chassis #GPW-154249); despite their disposable nature, in is little known that the U.S. Army’s Ordnance Department created special facilities to rebuild Jeeps (and other vehicles). Facilities were located both in the U.S. and abroad. One of the companies contracted to do this reconditioning work was ‘Higgins Industries’, a company based in New Orleans which was primarily employed to build amphibious landing craft referred to as LCVP (landing craft, vehicles, personnel), which were used extensively in Allied forces’ D-Day Invasion of Normandy; these landing craft vessels are commonly referred to as a ‘Higgins Boat’.See image attached of Jeeps on a raised inspection station at the Higgins Michoud Plant, Louisiana in July 1942 being cleaned with steam and water; they were overhauled and reconstructed before being returned to the US Army. In total, the companies reconditioned a total of 16,176 Jeeps in the United States according to Charlie Weaver via Jim Allen’s book ‘Jeep’. There are examples of the data plates applied to the dashboards of jeeps by the various companies. This particular Jeep is one of 1,850 examples reconditioned by Higgins Industries – as illustrated by the plaque in its cockpit, dated November 1944 - which is fascinating, making it a real survivor.Always in the hands of enthusiasts, it was registered in UK on 1st October 1970 (as a historic vehicle). It was fully restored with help from ‘Dallas Auto’, the WW2 Jeep, MS01 and Dodge Specialists of Berkshire, with invoices totalling over £8,000. It comes adorned with ‘authentic’ bullet holes which definitely adds a sense of theatre. Described as being in ‘excellent working order’, this is as good as you’d want your Jeep. Now arguably more iconic than a Sherman Tank or P-51 Mustang, the Jeep is for many the definitive WWII vehicle and the perfect Goodwood Revival accessory. The subject of a superb, bare-metal, restoration a few years ago and in a private 'Blue Oval' Collection ever since. It seems likely that Ford already had plans to produce a high-performance Escort to fit in the range between the 1300GT and the Twin-Cam/RS1600, and their victory in Mexico provided an ideal platform to launch such a model. The engineers at the newly formed AVO (Advanced Vehicles Operations) quickly developed the Mexico, marrying the stronger Type 49 bodyshell (as used in the more expensive Twin-Cam and RS1600), which aided the car's sporty, rear-wheel drive character, with the reliable and responsive Kent crossflow engine and 2000E gearbox. So effectively the Mexico was a re-engined Twin-Cam/RS1600 and the model was built from 1970 to 1974 at the AVO plant. The Mexico was the most successful and numerous of the 'Rally Sport Escorts' and was an instant sales hit, with buyers loving its wide-wheeled stance, bold graphics and rally-inspired DNA. It had a number of advantages on the road, in that it had decent performance, was easy to maintain, relatively easy to insure and above all, it was great fun to drive with a sharp throttle response, precise controls and a raspy exhaust note all adding to the drama.Finished in Daytona Yellow, this outstanding Mk1 Escort Mexico has clearly been the subject of an intense, ground-up restoration from its original Type 49 bodyshell to the superb engine bay and onwards into the excellent interior. First registered on 23rd February 1973, it remains in its original colour combination and interestingly was in constant use until 2014 at which time the decision was taken that a timetable of rectification was required to remedy the ravages of time. This work was entrusted to the experienced hands of Tony Collins at Classic Car Restorations in Kent who, after a long and protracted period of time returned the bodywork to its former glory. Restoration of the classic Mexico interior was the responsibility of Kent Car Upholstery and as is obvious from our images, the results are impressive. The engine rebuild was completed by ‘Bailey & Liddle’ of Faversham utilising an A2 cam, steel rocker-posts, an HD oil pump, and unleaded valves, with the engine bay fully detailed as you would expect resulting in, what we suggest, is one of the finest Mk1 Mexicos available today.Completed some years ago, the Escort has formed part of a private 'Blue Oval' Collection since, with little use but constant and continual care as and when required. Interest in Performance Fords from the 1970s and 1980s shows no signs of abating and this remarkable Daytona Yellow Mexico would be an asset to any enthusiast of these era-defining, characterful, sporting Fords.Specification Make: FORD Model: ESCORT MEXICO Year: 1973 Chassis Number: BFATNJ00402 Registration Number: NEU 99L Transmission: Manual Engine Number: TBA Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 3889 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Black ClothClick here for more details and images
Originally a Bentley Motors Ltd management car, this elegant Continental T is fresh to market from 25 years of caring ownership. Introduced in June 1996, the Continental T was a short-wheelbase version of the Continental R, some 4" being taken out of the chassis aft of the doors. With 400bhp at its disposal and crouching aggressively on 18" wheels, the low-slung Continental T looked every inch the thoroughbred Bentley sports car, the cockpit with its engine-turned dashboard and engine start button recalling the heroic exploits of classic Bentley racers. The luxuriously appointed Continental T was certainly no slouch, arriving at 60mph in a remarkable 5.8 seconds on its way to a (limited) top speed of 156mph. Equally eye-watering was the price - £220,312 at the time of launch - making the Continental T Bentley's fastest and most expensive model. In total, just 322 examples were built, with only 104 of these built to right-hand drive specifications. On offer here is one of those 104 right-hand drive examples which was first registered on 30th May 1997. It’s finished in Sapphire Blue with a classic Bentley interior in Parchment hide piped in Royal Blue with a Royal Blue top roll and matching carpets piped in Parchment. For the first two months of this car’s life, it wore the well known registration number, 1 Y, as it was retained by Bentley Motors of Crewe and used by senior management until 1999 when it was purchased by the current owner. The car's V5C, however, shows three former keepers as he originally had the car registered to his company and more recently, to him personally.During this period, it’s been serviced by Bentley Birmingham and subsequently by Bentley specialists, RR and B of Bromsgrove and M Hibberd of Langley, with invoices and details in the accompanying history file. The indicated mileage at the time of cataloguing was 48,700 and the MOT is valid until 15th August 2025.The Continental T was among the last and rarest analogue Bentleys and remains highly desirable today. This particular low-mileage example, fresh to market after 25 years of caring ownership, seems to offer incredible value for money and we welcome and encourage your inspection at the NEC.Specification Make: BENTLEY Model: CONTINENTAL T Year: 1997 Chassis Number: SCBZU23C8VCH53400 Registration Number: P21 PLM Transmission: Automatic Engine Number: 88140L410M/T1TS Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 48700 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Parchment/ Royal BlueClick here for more details and images
Offered from the Property of a Gentleman Collection, an original example with just one previous keeper from new, a superbly curated history file and just 37,254 miles. One of the finest examples we have seen, the term 'time warp' is rightly attributed when describing this car. Purchased new through Datsun Broadwater Limited on 1st August 1976 by its one and only keeper, a Mr M Willis of Burgess Hill, West Sussex, this wonderfully original, right-hand drive, UK supplied Datsun 260Z is offered to the market for the first time since new! Following the owner's purchase, the Datsun was driven back to Sussex where it was to reside. Dry stored in a small private Collection, the Datsun was enjoyed as intended until c.1990 where it was used less regularly and in 2022 the decision was made to recommission the 260Z ready for further road use.Undertaken by Datsun specialists, Fourways Engineering, Kent, the comprehensive recommissioning included renewal of the brakes, a major service, rebuild carburettors, remove and machine the cylinder head, replace inlet valves and valve guides, replace various bushes and bearings and prepare for an MOT, the final cost totalling £10,381.35. Since then, the Datsun has been treated to further maintenance by Fourways including a service in 2022 at a cost of £368, and further work in January 2024 costing £532.Offered in its original colour combination of silver paintwork over a black interior, the Datsun remains extremely original having covered a mere 37,231 miles from new. The paintwork is generally very good with a few minor blemishes and the interior and engine bay are in very good order. The underside is also in very good condition having received a full 'Zeibart’ from new, as the original sales invoice confirms. The history file that accompanies the car includes the original warranty and service booklet, the original owners manual, original Datsun 260Z sales brochures and the original sales invoice from Datsun Broadwater Limited. Also included is the original Datsun toolkit which appears to be unused. Additionally, the history file contains a sizeable MOT record and the most recent MOT certificate is valid until 10th October 2025. Hot and cool at the same time, this fabulous 1965 Notchback now runs a 387 'stroker, Tremec 5-speed, a nailed down rear end and presents superbly in Corris Grey Metallic. From its VIN number, we can establish that this handsome Mustang began life in 1965 at Ford's San Jose plant as a 'notchback' coupe powered by a 289ci, 2-valve, V8. It remained in the US for the first 35 of its life before arriving in the UK in 1998 and is now UK-registered with a current V5C.More recently it was becoming apparent that a schedule of works was required to return the Mustang back to top form and the decision was taken not to restore it in to original form but to modify it and upgrade it both cosmetically and mechanically. The bodywork was fully stripped and refinished in a very cool shade of Corris Dark Grey metallic enhanced with black Le Mans stripes and further lifted by a full de-chrome and colour-coded wheels. Internally a full retrim was undertaken and TMI Sports seats fitted not only to the front but the rear also, with steering duties taken care of by the Mustang-style wood-rimmed steering wheel.Clearly, with these aesthetic modifications, the mechanical aspects of the vehicle had to be addressed as well, with motivation now provided by a 347ci 'stroker' V8 delivering power through the Tremec high-torque, 5-speed manual transmission to the upgraded drive-train that now consists of a Currie Enterprises rear axle with Posi-Trac Gear Booster LSD, a Wilwood full disc brake conversion and adjustable coil-over shock absorbers. Other items worthy of note are an alloy race radiator, bespoke stainless steel dual exhaust system and colour-coded 17" American Racing wheels. With a fully detailed engine bay, impressive interior and period age-defining looks, all wrapped up in a desirable 'Restomod' package, this Mustang has certainly come of age and is ready to be enjoyed once again, be that out on the open road or standing with head held high on the show field.Accompanied by a comprehensive history file ( Specification sheet available upon request ) and full photographic record of the build, your early inspection is welcomed and encouraged to fully appreciate the potential on offer.Specification Make: FORD Model: MUSTANG RESTOMOD Year: 1965 Chassis Number: SR07C191678 Registration Number: ABW 100C Transmission: Manual Engine Number: TBA Drive Side: Left-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 6503 Miles Make: LHD Interior Colour: Black HideClick here for more details and images
Collector quality with a lovely original patina and just 1,798 miles from new. The RS200 was born in the era of 'Group B' rallying, undeniably the most extreme period in rally history with all competing manufacturers turning every dial up to 11. The power was immense, the courses dangerous and no matter how high the level of a driver's skill, it was always outmatched by the sheer bravery required to pilot these machines at full chat. Whilst Ford’s competitors developed their rally cars from suitable models in their road car range, Lancia with their S4 Integrale, Audi with the S1 Quattro and Peugeot with their T16 205, Ford took a more extreme route, building a competitive rally car and then using it as the basis for a well-engineered, road-legal version, purely to tick the homologation boxes.Produced by Ford Motorsport in Boreham from 1984-1986, the plastic-fiberglass composite body was designed by Filippo Sapino of Ghia Design Studio and enclosed a mid-mounted engine, four-wheel drive and a front-mounted gearbox for ideal 50/50 weight distribution. The chassis was designed by Formula 1 designer, Tony Southgate, in conjunction with Formula 1 engineer, John Wheeler, so the car had real potential for greatness.Motivation was provided by an 1,803cc Ford-Cosworth BDT engine fitted with a Garett T03/04 turbocharger which produced 250bhp in standard road-going trim although, as production progressed, more power became available. At the time, 'Group B' regulations required manufacturers to assemble 200 road-going versions of their race-bred competition cars, however with the passing of time, it's become clear that Ford did not manage to sell 200, with Justin Smith, the Ford RS200 authority, believing as few as 147 were actually sold.Presented here is certainly one of the best examples of the Ford RS200 we have offered for sale and with an exceptionally low mileage of 1,798. It was sold new on 14th April 1989 by Charles King Motors, the Ford Main Dealer in Bedford, and apparently was the 100th car finished, bearing the chassis no. SFACXXBJ2CGL00100. It's supplied with Ford Motorsport decals and a leather interior which makes it a rare specification. There have been four owners prior to our vendor with all the timeline details in the history file and it's evident from the car's overall immaculate condition that they took their ownership seriously. Early in its life, it was returned to Tickford for a service and more recently, in December 2022 but only a few miles ago, it was treated to fresh fluids and new hoses by specialists, Viking Motorsport. It still sports its original Pirelli P6000 tyres and spare and comes complete with its original complete pristine toolkit and its Ford Boreham leather-bound manual. Collector quality with a lovely original patina and exceptionally low mileage, this impressive 'Group B' rally car, from the rallying colossus that was Ford in the 1980s, is almost certainly unrepeatable.Specification Make: FORD Model: RS200 Year: 1989 Chassis Number: SFACXXBJ2CGL00100 Registration Number: F500 BRP Transmission: MANUAL Engine Number: GL00100 Odometer Reading: 1798 Miles Make: Click here for more details and images
A very special TR6, one of the original Factory Press Department Road Test Cars. Sharp, clean and ruggedly handsome, the TR6 looked far more modern than TR roadsters of old and proved a huge hit with the sporting driver of the early 1970s. Restyled in 1969 by Karmann of Osnabruck, it gained a full width nose and a squared-off tail, however under its new 'party frock', the chassis remained basically the same as its independently-rear-suspended TR5 predecessor. Handling was improved courtesy of wider wheels and a front anti-roll bar and the 6 was a little more refined than its predecessors featuring pile carpets, plush looking bucket seats, a traditional wooden dashboard and a full complement of instrumentation. The 150bhp 2.5-litre Lucas fuel-injected straight-six power unit was initially unchanged but was detuned to 125bhp for the US-market and subsequently for the UK-market from 1973 onwards to meet stricter emissions regulations. Even in the later detuned specification, it could still hit 60mph in just 9.5 seconds with a top speed of 116mph. This is an original home-market, UK-supplied, right-hand drive car and according to its Heritage Certificate, was built on 29th January 1974, fitted with overdrive and finished in Mimosa with a black interior, a colour scheme that it proudly displays to this day. However, instead of being sold through the normal dealer network, RDU 998M was seconded by the factory Press and Publicity Department to be used as a Road Test car, offered on short term loan to prominent motoring journalists in the hope of attracting lots of favourable publicity. This was certainly the case and the car regularly appeared in magazine features and newspaper articles. Thoroughbred and Classic Cars magazine ran a feature on RDU in their January 1975 issue and pleasingly, there is a copy of this in the Owners File. Naturally, during the period when it was being presented to the press, it was washed, polished and maintained on a daily basis in order to create the most favourable impression. Our vendor has owned this car since 2019 and covered a mere 132 miles in that time. In his own words - 'I have proudly displayed it at local classic car shows as it still presents really well today with good shut lines, excellent paintwork, well cared for interior, a tidy engine bay,and a smart black hood. I have had the brake system overhauled including fitting a new brake servo and master cylinder. Prior to my ownership, this lovely TR was family-owned for 15 years. A regular at Owners Club events, RDU 998M is well known and well regarded within the Triumph community. The current indicated mileage is 42,629 and, as you might expect from an enthusiast owned car, it's accompanied by lots of unique history, period brochures, Press Pack, original documents, manuals, the Heritage Certificate, old tax discs, and previous MOT Certificates'. Sensibly estimated, this is a very special TR6, part of Triumph's history and would be very welcome at any gathering of Triumph enthusiasts. A fully restored example of the military-grade 'Lightweight' Land Rover, finished in a beautiful colour combination. Rover bosses, the Wilks brothers, saw the need for a tough, four-wheel drive utility vehicle to serve the needs of the agricultural community in the immediate post-war years. Given that its inspiration had been the wartime Jeep, it cannot have surprised Rover when their versatile vehicle also turned out to be of interest to the British Army, which began taking deliveries a year or two after the start of production in 1948. Supremely adaptable for military purposes, the Land Rover has fulfilled any number of differing military roles, from fighting vehicle to ambulance and been exported to countless countries worldwide. The smallest Land Rover on the market at the time was a Series IIA 88" which was too heavy for most military applications. In order to deal with this, a major modification to the basic Series IIA was devised, making many body components easily detachable and removing many non-essential items. The result was the Land Rover Half-Ton, known widely as the Lightweight or Air Portable. In practice, to reduce weight sufficiently for the helicopters of the day to lift them in combat conditions, the tilt and sticks, the upper parts of the body, the doors and windscreen were removed, all to be refitted later. The most significant change however was a reduction in width of 4", by redesigning the standard Series IIA axles and fitting shorter half-shafts, which meant it would fit on a standard pallet. Complete, the Lightweight IIA weighed 1,202kg, over the specified weight and heavier, in fact, than a 'standard' Land Rover. The term Lightweight was therefore confusing. However, with the removable body panels taken off it was below the limit. Since improvements to the helicopters meant more lift was available, the Ministry of Defence accepted it for use with production continuing until 1984.Purchased by our vendor in 2020, this example immediately underwent a full and meticulous restoration including a new galvanised chassis, a bikini soft top and a considerable amount of time and effort going in to ensure the body was as perfect as the rest of the car. Since completion, it has covered just 300 miles, the main enjoyment to our vendor being the rebuild and perfecting process. The history file includes two large files documenting the restoration process with photos and invoices along every step of the way, as well as some older MOTs.Ready and set for someone to enjoy in whatever format that may be, whether it’s going to shows or using it as intended, this Air Portable is ready for whatever that challenge could be.Specification Make: LAND ROVER Model: 88" LIGHTWEIGHT AIR PORTABLE Year: 1982 Chassis Number: SALLBBAH1AA172964 Registration Number: JUG 910Y Transmission: Manual Engine Number: TBC Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 11988 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: BlackClick here for more details and images
An incredibly well restored Land Rover Series I, a multiple show-winning car, hard to imagine that a better one exists anywhere. As an engineering marvel, the Land Rover can still outstrip its modern counterparts and the Series I rightly belongs in the Motoring Hall of Fame. Hugely successful globally, improvements were made throughout its long lifespan. In 1950, the lights were moved from a position behind the grille to protrude through the mesh and in 1952 a larger 2-litre petrol engine replaced the original 1.6-litre. The wheelbase was extended to 86" in 1955 to give the vehicle more stability and greater load capacity and the stronger, more reliable 2-litre petrol engine was standard until 1957.Over the years, here at Iconic Auctioneers, in conjunction with Classic Car Auctions, we have been pleased to offer over 150 Land Rovers, including a good number of early vehicles, but it's a long time (if ever) since we have seen such an impressively restored example as the 1956 Series I on offer today.Acquired from friends, where it had been languishing on their farm for almost 40 years, our vendors set about creating, quite simply, the very best Series I that they could and since the completion of its meticulous restoration, it has won award after award, show upon show. The full list of work carried out is too long to detail here but, in addition to an engine rebuild at a cost of £6,670 by Cox and Turner, the Landy has been fully restored cosmetically, with a new tub seats, new tilt and canvas roof and sundries galore removed, restored, or if beyond repair then replaced with the very best options available. Our meticulous vendor has kept a list of the costs involved in the restoration and when we say a list, it is unlike anything we have ever seen before. Laid out on an Excel spreadsheet, it runs to 286 lines and totals £32,960.90 including dozens of entries for less than £10, every nut, bolt, grommet and bracket is listed and costed. Uniquely, there are 31 'credit' entries relating to surplus, replaced, items sold and totalling £1,236.52 so the real cost of the restoration was £34,197.42.We have to draw the conclusion that anyone so incredibly fastidious as to list and cost everything in detail would be equally fastidious about the quality of work during the car’s restoration. A glance at our images and ideally the car itself will confirm that this Series I is undoubtedly better today than when it left the factory almost 70 years ago. It's believed that our clients are only its second keepers, so this is put simply a ‘one former keeper’ car and we invite and encourage your close inspection of this remarkable Land Rover.Specification Make: LAND ROVER Model: SERIES 1 Year: 1956 Chassis Number: 170603168 Registration Number: MBL 974 Transmission: Manual Engine Number: S10782010 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 39699 Miles Make: RHDClick here for more details and images
Offered without Reserve from The Recreation Collection, this very pretty car has many period parts such as Borrani wire wheels and a £4,000 stainless steel exhaust system. These are special cars and worthy of serious consideration, offered, tantalisingly as they are, without Reserve. We understand that this fabulous right-hand drive tribute car was the dream of an Italian gentleman, a former Chairman of two Italian sports car clubs. Based on a UK-supplied 1997 BMW Z3 M Sport, itself a highly desirable car and one that is the identical size, wheel-to-wheel to the original, the recreation was a labour of love that offers the attention-gathering beauty and appeal of the original combined with the benefits of modern motoring technology and German engineering.Every item on the car, from the body panels to the seats, has either been bespoke manufactured or purchased from Ferrari or GTO Engineering. Original Ferrari parts include the indicator stalks, installed at a cost of €1,800, grille, window winders, door handles, badging, headlamps and rear view mirror. Even the ashtray is an original Ferrari item, bought from GTO Engineering for £400. To acquire one correct Nardi steering wheel as sported by the orignal, the owner actually had to buy four of them. The car runs on the original size Pirelli tyres, wrapped around an €8,000 set of Borrani wheels. The £4,000 stainless steel exhaust features a resonator box and sounds not dissimilar to a V12 on carburettors. To create the bumpers, the previous owner had a mould made and the bumpers were then cast in stainless steel, at a cost of £3,000. The engine is a 325bhp BMW M3 E36 unit. Beneath the period radio sits a speaker with a difference. Entirely in keeping with the original styling, this was made specially in Germany by Becker. It pulls down to reveal the air conditioning controls hidden behind. The original BMW Z3M sustained repairable damage on the 25th May 2000 and was subject to an insurance Category D marker. Given the car’s new lease of life in 2017, it was subsequently registered at the time as a Black California Spyder, we welcome close inspection of this special vehicle.Presented to auction with its V5C, historic bills, brochure and previous MOT Certificates, the most recent of which is valid until 24th September 2025.Specification Make: BMW Model: Z3 ROADSTER Year: 1997 Chassis Number: WBSCK91050LD20287 Registration Number: BPR 726A Transmission: Manual Engine Number: TBA Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 1462 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: BlackClick here for more details and images
Superb example of the ever popular R107 500SL, beautifully presented with just 13,000 miles. It really is hard to believe that the R107 Mercedes SL is now over 50 years old, yet in 1971 this new chapter in the history of the SL sports car began. It was the first SL with a V8 engine, it had a thoroughly modern new design. It was a self-confident motor car - sporty yet luxurious and quick yet comfortable. In many ways it was and remains the perfect convertible. As is the way with all thing Mercedes-Benz, the new SL featured a number of safety-related technical innovations during its development such as defined crumple zones, high-strength steels in the A-pillars, a windscreen frame with bonded glass, padded surfaces and deformable elements in the interior. From March 1980, ABS was available and from January 1982, a driver’s airbag and belt tensioners. The ultimate engine choice in Europe was to be found with the all-alloy overhead-camshaft V8 500SL of 1980, with 240bhp available (bearing in mind a Porsche 911 offered a ‘mere’ 204bhp at the time). Over time, the interiors became even more luxurious, the car’s weight was reduced with new alloy bonnets and boot lids and the suspension and brakes continued to be developed until it was replaced by the R129 in 1989. The 'R107' SL was a classic almost as soon as it ended its 18 year production run and today they make perfectly usable daily drivers, especially when, as with this example, they come with a factory hardtop.Finished in Smoke Silver with an Anthracite leather interior and a black mohair soft top, this extremely low-mileage example displays just over 13,000 miles from new. Understood to have been originally ordered for the UK market, the car was actually supplied new to Japan, from whence it returned in 2015. In 2020, it underwent a workshop inspection which included an engine compression test and full service. Our vendor, having acquired the car around three years ago, commenced a recommissioning which included a comprehensive oil and filter service, belts, water pump, gearbox oil and filter, front shaft and pump seals and a complete replacement stainless steel exhaust system. He also chose to replace the boot lid, preferring the simple lines without the spoiler fitted upon purchase, though the original is available to the next keeper if they wish. A period-style Blaupunkt Stereo has been fitted along with replacement dash and centre console trim as the car had been retro-fitted with a poor AC system that he has sensibly removed. The car’s new build record lists that it was supplied with a number of options including a limited-slip differential and anti-lock braking system. Our vendor confidently states that this is a car in which he could happily trust to jump in and set off on a journey of hundreds of miles tomorrow. The car is accompanied by its matching hardtop, a number of invoices and old MOTs, various Japanese service records, an original sales brochure and a book on the SL 107 series cars. This is an SL that could easily fit within any Collection or equally be enjoyed on the show field or international touring.Specification Make: MERCEDES Model: R107 500SL Year: 1986 Chassis Number: WDB1070462A021658 Registration Number: C554 CTR Transmission: Automatic Engine Number: 117962-22004967 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 13000 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Anthracite LeatherClick here for more details and images
Offered to market from its first and only keeper, having covered a mere 2,200 miles from new, this 4/4 is surely the best one of its kind. The Morgan 4/4 was first introduced in 1936 and remained in production for 83 years until 2019, making it one of the longest running production models in automotive history earning both the model and the manufacturer a spot in the Guinness Book of Records. The 4/4 maintained Morgan’s ethos by being traditional, lightweight and dynamic with a box-section ladder-frame chassis mated to a traditional body construction with an aluminium skin over an ash wood frame. In 1993 the 4/4 was offered with Ford’s 1800 Zetec engine which was faster, cleaner and more frugal than its predecessors. With a kerb weight of just 868kg, a revvy DOHC engine and rear-wheel drive, this British built sports car was everything Morgan wanted it to be.Finished in Indigo Blue over Stone leather, this delightful 4/4 presents in exceptional condition, commensurate with its warranted ultra-low mileage of just 2,200 miles from new. Additionally, it is a one-owner vehicle, still showcasing the factory chalk marks on the hood. The vendor had to wait nearly ten years after submitting the initial order form to receive the car due to high demand and the hand-built nature of Morgan. It comes with the original order form from Mike Duncan Morgan agents, confirming that P522 NOE was specifically ordered in Indigo Blue with Stone trim, complemented by blue piping, blue carpets and stone piping, and a Walnut dashboard. Included with the vehicle are various documents, such as old MOT paperwork, the original order form, the handbook, sales brochure, and the current V5C Registration Document. The vendor personally collected the car from the factory and is now offering it for sale having cherished and evidently adoring the car for 27 years, but due to the impracticalities of a small, low sports cars the car is no longer able to be driven comfortably, so the time to move it on has arrived. With a lovely specification that complements the car well, this 4/4 represents serious value with every collectible box ticked.Specification Make: MORGAN Model: 4/4 Year: 1997 Chassis Number: SA94418004DO9834 Registration Number: P522 NOE Transmission: Manual Engine Number: H6033 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 2500 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: TanClick here for more details and images
A true gentleman’s carriage with an enviable specification and full main dealer history. The Bentley Arnage T laid claim to the title of the world's fastest saloon car in 2002, needing to use all but the last two spots on its 170mph speedometer. Powered by the 6.75 litre Rolls-Royce V8 engine which had been treated to what Bentley described as 'the most thorough re-engineering of its life', the Arnage produced a substantial 450bhp and an amazing 645lbs/ft of torque, in no small part accredited to the twin-Garratt T3 turbochargers (in place of the previous single T4), an improved cylinder head gasket design and Bosch Motronic management system. Other developments included a 'drive-by-wire' throttle to go hand-in-hand with a new electronic stability program and revised suspension. It featured a roll stiffness 57% greater than the Red Label, giving the nearly three-ton car immense poise and when coupled with a structure that was 10% stiffer than the Red Label, this luxury cruiser was transformed into a mile crunching supercar rival, propelling the driver to 60mph in just 5.5 seconds in cushioned luxury.Dating from 2003, this Arnage T is stylishly presented in Tungsten Grey Metallic with Beluga Black, diamond-quilted leather upholstery adorned with silver ‘Winged-B’ motifs, dark wood veneers and engine-turned aluminium inserts to the dashboard and door cappings. Originally supplied by Bentley Manchester, this majestic saloon has patently been cherished regardless of cost with the overall condition reflecting the care and attention that has been lavished upon it confirmed by its comprehensive service record containing 17 main dealer stamps over its 21 years. It has covered a warranted 58,000 miles, a perfect figure for a car like this as the Arnage T is essentially a high performance saloon as opposed to a sedate limousine and they are happiest when they are regularly extended. The most recent service was with Bentley Manchester at 58,508 miles, not long ago but our fastidious vendor owner decided to present it for a dealer health check (fault/recommendation free) prior to sale to ensure that everything meets his exacting standards. The car will be accompanied by its V5C Registration Document, dealer book pack, correspondence/paperwork, maintenance/service invoices and its current MOT valid until July 2025.With a new list price of some £160,000, this car today represents incredible value for money at this mileage and is a rare opportunity to buy one of the last 'proper' Bentleys. Little can compare to a Bentley when it comes to fit and finish and we strongly advise and welcome your early inspection to fully appreciate the opportunity on offer. A smart example, recently serviced and rarely seen in double Nero, offered without Reserve with less than 35,000 miles. The Ferrari 575M Maranello (Type F133) is a two-seat, two-door Grand Tourer launched by Ferrari in 2002 and was essentially an updated 550 Maranello featuring minor styling changes from Pininfarina. Further developments included a redesigned interior and substantial mechanical improvements, including bigger brake discs, a larger and more powerful engine, improved weight distribution, refined aerodynamics and fluid-dynamics along with an adaptive suspension set-up (the four independent suspensions are also controlled by the gearbox, to minimise pitch). Two 6-speed transmissions were available, a conventional manual gearbox and for the first time on a Ferrari V12, Magneti Marelli's 'F1' automated manual gearbox. The 575 model number refers to total engine displacement (5.75-litre), whilst the 'M' is an abbreviation of modificata as featured on the later cars, meaning 'modified' in Italian. This super example was supplied by Maranello Sales Ltd of Egham to a Mr Hynes on 10th October 2004, the first of four former keepers. Finished in Nero Daytona Metallic with black Daytona interior with Bordeaux stitching and matching carpets. One of the defining hot hatches of the 1990s, this remarkably original, first generation Clio Williams has covered just 9,331 miles from new. It’s the early 1990s and the 1.8-litre Clio 16v is locked in combat for hot hatch glory with the ageing Peugeot 205 GTi 1.9. It’s a better car by many objective criteria, but not a convincingly faster one and in the eyes of many, the GTi still holds the crown. It took a truly special car to convincingly wrestle supremacy away from Peugeot, to really bury the old-timer and to refine the class in the process. That car was the Clio Williams.Sold with the compelling marketing strategy of an F1 team association, the Williams was actually an 'homologation special' in the familiar mould. It was built because RenaultSport wanted to go rallying and the class maximum displacement stood at 2-litres. Given this was still the era of homologation into 'Classes' A and 'N', Renault simply had to build 2,500 road cars to qualify, although it would eventually build many more. The initial production run of the Clio Williams was limited to just 5,400 examples, of which only 390 arrived in the UK.The suspension used a reinforced front subframe borrowed from the Clio Cup racer plus uprated springs, dampers, rear torsion arms and thicker anti-roll bars. The track was increased by 34mm and the 7J Speedline alloys were 0.5" wider than the 16v’s and distinctively gold. The gearbox was stronger too, with revised ratios. There was just one exterior colour offered for the first generation of Williams – '449' Metallic Sports Blue – and the cumulative effect of body (already blistered of arch, front, and rear and bulging of bonnet from the 16v), paint and those golden wheels was as close to hot hatch perfection as many felt it was possible to get.Codenamed 'F7R' and developed from the 16v’s 137bhp F7P unit, the new engine featured a longer stroke and bigger bore size and benefitted from a stronger crankshaft plus new pistons, camshafts and conrods with bigger valves and a lightweight exhaust manifold. Output was now 148bhp at 6,100rpm and 126lb/ft at 4,500rpm, not enormous by today's standards but 85% of the torque was available from 2,500rpm and the car only weighed 981kg. The factory specification included central locking, electric windows, and blue-faced instrument dials with three co-ordinating blue auxiliary read-outs atop the centre console displaying the oil level, temperature and pressure – all very purposeful.#0181 is one of the finest Clio Williams to come to the market for a very long time with just 9,331 miles from new and with the original owner for nearly 25 years. Ordered new by him from Arlington Renault of Yeovil in August 1993, it arrived from the factory and was registered in February 1994. Testament to his caring ownership, the Clio is accompanied by the most comprehensive of history files which includes the original sales receipt, a promotional leaflet with a handwritten deposit receipt on it, tax discs and three MOTs over its limited use between dry storage. The inventory includes all driver manuals, two sets of keys and the obligatory Gemini Alarm fobs required in the day to get it insured. The owner also purchased two Williams Renault promotional jackets (M), an F1 RenaultSport World Championship cap and key fob.New tyres were fitted prior to the last MOT test, however the original equipment factory tyres are available should the new owner feel that's important. #0181 still presents as showroom fresh and must be the most original example of the ultimate performance hatchback, a rare opportunity.Specification Make: RENAULT Model: WILLIAMS CLIO Year: 1994 Chassis Number: VF1C57M0510863307 Registration Number: L471 NYD Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 00C5139 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 9331 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: BlueClick here for more details and images
