An Art Deco silver cigarette case by Deakin & Francis, Birmingham 1932, of rounded rectangular form with engine turned decoration, push button release, gilt interior with elasticated strap, 7.7cm x 8.2cm, together with a George VI square silver compact W H Manton Ltd, Birmingham 1946, 7.8cm x 7.8cm, and a further rectangular silver compact case, 8.2cm x 6.8cm (3)CR; Compact pictured furthest left: Case in good order, no splitting, major denting or signs of repair, moderate scratching and wear commensurate with age and use. Button mechanism in working order, cover is slightly stiff to open, but closes flush. Glass to interior in good order, no splits, cracks or losses. Fabric to powder is split and frayed in several places. Some minor splitting around the hinge, pin in slightly loose. Heavy scratching and wear to interior. Please see additional pictures.Compact pictured centre: Denting/wear to the corners. Moderate scratching and wear to exterior. No signs of splitting or repair. Button mechanism in working order, popping open and closing with a snap, though a slight gap is left around the cover and body. Some small cracks and losses around the edge of the mirror. Fabric to powder compartment is split and frayed in several places. Heavy scratching and wear to interior. Hinge in good order. See additional pictures.Case pictured furthest right: Some light denting. Moderate scratching and wear to exterior, some loss of definition to the engine turned detail. Button mechanism working, popping open and closing with a snap, however to two sides do not sit flush - there is a slight gap, and the cover is slightly lopsided. Moderate scratching and wear to the gilt interior. Elastic is present, showing no splitting or fraying, however has slackened significantly. Hallmarks are crisp.

Interior is good, some tobacco residue inside corners of cover above hinge that may have marked the gilding, inside of cover has some minor marking. Underside of base is scratched.
