Both complete with detachable chimneys. Appear to be in WO. GC to VGC some wear, cleaning required.
A German produced Wilesco live steam single cylinder vertical engine D455 with a polished brass boiler with diecast light green engine frame for single cylinder unit, mounted on a brick wall style base and blue plinth, fitted to a wood platform with 6 power take off tools; together with a Mamod steam car, complete, a hand made Rolls Royce Silver Ghost; a few Meccano parts, Conrod with fitted barometer; and sundry other items. QGC to VGC some age wear.
A well made up steam plant, comprising Stuart mill engine S50, 5/8" bore and 10188" stroke on an 8?" bed, driving a Stuart dynamo 4 volt lamp; coal fired horizontal boiler of centre and cross tube design, steel firebox with integral lagging, removable grate, wood lagged, 13?" long x 3?" diameter with pressure and water gauges, blower to base of chimney and steam control valves, side water tank with hand pump and coal bunker and shovel; together with a part built central/cross tube boiler 7?" x 3" diameter for gas firing, wood lagged with pressure gauge and side feed water tank, plus a number of various parts/ fittings etc. QGC to GC (some restoration and finishing required)
A made up steam plant, comprising Stuart Mill engine S50, 5/8" bore x 1?" stroke on an 8?" bed, and a vertical Stuart No 10 of ?" bore and stroke, connected independently to a home produced copper soldered and rivetted horizontal 31/8" diameter, 6" long, mounted on a folded metal base, pressure gauge and water gauges and safety valve/filler, no burner. All mounted on chequer plate and folded metal base, 17?" x 12". GC some ageing
A steam plant, made up from a Stuart double 10 engine ? x ? bore and stroke driving feed water pump and dynamo, vertical centre flue with cross tube boiler, 6?" tall x 27/8" diameter, overall 14?" to top of chimney, no burner; and lattice tower water tank on base board 16" x 11"; plus an unused Stuart 504 boiler and chimney, no burner, and a few other pieces together with some literature. GC (some wear to finishes)
A German produced Wilesco Old Smokey steam roller and water trailer, (D365) engine in green and red livery, complete with polished brass boiler, smoke stack and canopy, requires cleaning, also looks to be in WO; together with 4 ERTL Vintage Engines Series stationary steam engines, McCormick-Deering, 2 John Deere including Waterloo Boy and an IHC Famous Engine, all boxed.. A well executed model of the Model Engineer Beam Engine from castings etc, 2?" stroke and approx 1?" bore wood clad cylinder, parralel motion to beam head held in U shape at head of single beam support column, crank rod to crank shaft driving eccentric to valve gear, bevel gears to twin ball governor, spurgears to output pulley and 9" diameter 6 spoke flywheel, machined cast bed plate with detailed edging. A third rod from the beam drives a small pump, 1" stroke and ?" bore. The bed plate is mounted on a wooden hollow simulated brick platform through which the flywheel and crank pass, good railings to 3 sides with steps all finished light grey and engine is black with red detailing and oiled polished steel. A well made model of the popular Stuart beam engine, of 1" bore and 2" stroke, 7" diameter flywheel on a jointed milled pillar block with an outside grooved pulley wheel, wood strip lagged cylinder with drain cocks, eccentric drive valve gear, parallel motion from beam end to piston rod with all transfer rods finely barreled, displacement steam lubicator on steam inlet. Finished in bright yellow with oiled polished steel parts and mounted on solid polished wood stand. 16?" long, 8?" wide and 12?" high to top of beam. VGC few minor marks. Plate 1
A heavy cast metal working model of a Grasshopper type beam engine a factory produced example (c 1980), overall sizes 15" length, 6?" width, 13" height, 8?" diameter flywheel, steam or air operation, 1" bore cylinder with a 2" stroke, 60lbs PSI working pressure, called the Beam Andy and produced by Adaptors Eng. Ltd London. Painted in dark green livery with red spokes to flywheel. GC cleaning required. Plate 1
A scarce very well engineered model of the Stuart triple expansion marine engine, HP ?, Intermediate 1? and LP 1?" cylinders all with 1" stroke, full screw shaft reversing via side mounted handwheel, double eccentric drive to valve gear via curved expansion link, drain cocks to cylinders, lagged piping; cast cylinders and bed plate with steel pillar supports, counter balanced crank shaft with red painted weights, heavy disc flywheel. Grey painted bed plate and cylinder lagging plates, most parts polished steel./gunmetal and oiled. Mounted on polished mahogany plinth boards and an ash base 11?" x 7?" height, overall 8?". VGC to Mint. Plate 2
An unusual well built steam plant, Stuart No 10 engine, vertical flue superheater coil gas fired, exhaust steam is passed through a condenser coil into a tank and via hand pump can be fed back to boiler; boiler 4?" diameter over wood lagging and 17" overall to top of chimney, condenser cylinder wood lagged 3?" x 2", all mounted on a wood plinth 26" x 8?" x 3" high. Well finished and painted. VGC (minor wear) Plate 2
An unusual well built model of a Shand Mason steam pumping engine, twin cylinder, with 2 hose outlets as might have been fitted to an early fire appliance, approx 1" stroke and ?" bore with displacement oiler to each cylinder, eccentric driven valve gear light crankshaft with sliding big end drive, steam and water inlet pipes with small accumulator for smooth pump delivery. Oil feeds to main bearings, finish is plain brass but with traces of red paint (stripped and reassembled?), a few steam cylinder cover nuts missing, otherwise VGC, complete with loose wood base, overall size 7?" high, 4?" wide, 3?" deep. A nicely made model of the Stuart No 9 horizontal engine, 1?" bore and 1?" stroke with an overall length of 11", crankshaft carries eccentric valve drive pulley and belt drive to steam regulating twin ball governor, feed water pump and 5" diameter heavy spoked flywheel. Displacement oiler steam and exhaust pipework, pipework from pump ending in 3 bolt flanges, coupled drain cocks to cylinders, finished in black and bright green on a bevelled wood base 11?" x 4?". VGC (minor adjustment required to governor slip ring) Plate 2
A well made Stuart Compound twin cylinder launch engine, 1?" x 1?" bore cylinders and 11/8" stroke, full screw shaft reversing via side mounted hand wheel, Stephenson's link with curved expansion link, air and feed water pumps, disc flywheel 2?" diameter marine propeller, the whole is rigidly mounted on a built up plate sledge, probably as a marine model demonstration. Appears to be low and medium pressure cylinders of a Stuart marine triple? GC to VGC cosmetic work to paint finish required. Plate 2
A fine quality 3?" gauge Caledonian Railway 0-6-0 tank engine, built c 1985 and featured on the front cover of the Cherrys catalogue from where it was purchased, the loco has only been test fired and is complete with length of show track. Copper boiler twin superheaters, twin Ross Pip safety valves, fittings include turret with whistle valve, pressure gauge, regulator, twin water feed clocks, blowdown, lever and quadrant reverse, blowdown valve and cylinder drains; twin outside cylinders with full Stephenson's link inside valve gear, coupling and connecting rods flutes and fitted with oil cups. Screw down break, water pump and lubricator driven from right and left hand crossheads respectively, back plate and half cab roof removeable for driving. Finished in royal blue with red and white lining, tanks lettered CR with crest. VGC to Mint, few small marks. Plate 3
