Assay marked London 1919. 70mm high 45mm long 40mm wide The case of the clock is in very good condition with no repairs, dents or splits to the silver. Handle is intact. Clock face has a hairline to left hand side and rough edge to enamel at very centre of dial. Winder handle is missing its pin but the handle is there. Wheel doesn't appear to be moving so clock isn't currently ticking.

The gold box was a gift to Maugham and was passed to Alan on Maugham's death. My mother kept the box by her at all times in her handbag. The crest is that of Maugham.
