J Millar of Glasgow; a Victorian hallmarked silver cased open-faced Kew-wind pocket watch, the silvered engine-turned and foliate decorated dial set with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, the fusee movement signed and numbered 33606, case hallmarked for London 1860, diameter 4.5cm, housed in associated base metal outer case. CONDITION REPORT Not tested, no guarantee of working order, visible dirt and marks to dial, general wear and tear throughout.
Silver rectangular cigarette box with hinged cover having engine turned band, two compartments to the interior. Birmingham hallmark, 1924. Provenance as 'presented to the Right Honorable James Ramsay Mcdonald, PC, LLD, MP, on the P & O vessel RMS Maloja, from a few Labour enthusiasts in the catering department' with card marked Colombo January 1926. Together with letter dated July 1938 bequeathing the silver box to a Dr Grant of County Durham. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Very badly tarnished. It has been dropped, one of the corners is misshapen.
