A well engineered 5" gauge model of the MLR K Class 2-6-0 locomotive and tender No. 1000. Probably built by C M Rostron, Beckenham, Kent during the 1950's having copper soldered boiler & fittings including water & pressure gauges, safety blower, hand operated brake & blow down valves. Tender details include hand feed pump, hand operated brake gear, water cocks and hand irons. Finished in LNER green livery and lining. Engine 9.5" x 37.5", tender 9.5" x 24" (some blemishes and minor paint loss). Complete with three 8' long pieces of track.
A Victorian silver and glass travelling ink well, the engine turned hinged cover with screw fastening, engraved with initials 1.50 inches diameter, London 1865, an Edward V11 silver stamp case with engine turned sliding cover, 2 X 1.50 inches, Birmingham 1908, a pair of condiments spoons, and three teaspoons, and a white metal egg cup.
