A George III silver curved rectangular snuff box, London 1803, a George IV silver rectangular snuff box, with engine turned decoration, Birmingham 1825, combined weight 147 gms and another rectangular snuff box, probably European with engine turned decoration, (3). Condition Report All boxes show wear to the exteriors, with rubbed engraved decoration, the oval box has a few dents and the crest to the lid is rather worn, the hinges of all boxes are good and the covers close tight.

Condition Report Larger box in good condition, hinged cover closes well, interior gilding good. Smaller box - decoration a little worn, circular plaque to cover is later applied, small dents to the interior.

A silver rectangular notepad holder, with engine turned decoration, detailed 835 SF, weight 207gms, a Dunhill rectangular silver plated gas lighter with engine turned decoration, a foreign silver and leather rectangular case, detailed 935, a Greek enamelled medal detailed 1917, with a case, a brass and enamel small folding icon and an imitation amber cheroot holder (6). Condition Report There is no flint to the lighter, roller bar rotates loosely. Interior a little grubby, exterior no significant dents, knocks or scratches.

A silver rectangular slide action cigarette case, the exterior with engine turned decoration, London 1934, gross weight 187gms and a German rectangular cigarette case, the cover with an applied monogram, otherwise engine turned within a key pattern border, detailed 900, gross weight 144 gms (2).

A Waltham gold cased keyless wind hunting cased centre stop seconds pocket watch, the gilt jeweled lever movement, detailed A.W.Co. Waltham, Mass 2718710, gold inner case detailed 18K and engraved to the exterior, A.B. Leighton 1918, the caseback and front detailed K18, the signed enamelled dial with black Roman hour numerals outer black Arabic numerals to 60, with subsidiary seconds, side set button to the band, the case exterior with engine turned decoration. Condition Report Watch movement working, dial and hands in good condition, dial cover is glass rather than plastic, all case hinges are in good condition. Case diameter 49.5mm. Gross weight of watch 134 gms.

A 9ct gold circular cased ladies wristwatch, the jewelled movement detailed Swiss made, Birmingham 1917, on a sprung bar link bracelet, a plated key wind openfaced ladies fob watch with a cylinder movement, fitted with a T-bar, two gentleman's wristwatches comprising; Ingersoll and Apex Watch, also a ladies Rotary 9ct gold cased wristwatch, on a gilt metal sprung bar link bracelet with an associated Rotary box (5). Condition Report 9ct gold circular cased lady's wristwatch; with enamel dial, small stain at 7 o'clock, but no cracks, balance wheel rotates erratically, watch not currently working, watch case in good condition. Bracelet damage in places, held together with cotton at one place, bracelet marked 9 CT English make, gold springs. Length of watch (note distortion to bracelet) 16.5cm, gross weight 29.6 gms.Plated fob watch; movement working, dial slightly tarnished, case has a few small dents, engine turning a bit rubbed.Lady's Rotary wristwatch; Good condition. Working. Bracelet is detailed 9 CT GOLD METAL CORE. Neither of the gentlemen's wristwatches work.

A gold money clip, designed as an abacus, detailed 14 K, weight 16.5 gms and a gold mounted folding pocket knife cum nail file cum pair of scissors, with engine turned decoration, (2). Condition Report Money clip; good condition, marked 14 K 5, length 5.7cm.Pocket knife/scissors; good condition. no marks to the mount.

Los 1904

A Chinese gold rectangular vinaigrette, the interior with a pierced and engraved grill, the exterior engine turned and with floral and foliate decorated rims, detailed 18K, length 4.7cm, weight 51gms. Condition Report Overall good condition, hinge to grille is a little loose, cover central panel is engraved with monogram L.S, the floral decoration to the borders is well achieved and of good quality. The engine turning is a little crude and of a slightly different style to early 19th century English silversmith's work. Box hinge is of good quality, with not much play, grille pierced and engraved decoration is rather crude. No apparent repair work. Marked within the lid HK (this upside down) 18 K, no apparent marks within the base.The attribution of Chinese is given because the vendor is Chinese.This item appears to be of a modern interpretation of an 1830's design of vinaigrette.

A Dunhill 9ct gold, rectangular cased gas lighter, the exterior engine turned, detailed Dunhill London, London 1964, height 6.5cm, gross weight 105gms. Condition Report The roller bar to the lighter is seized, interior corrosion to the mechanism, lighter edges showing signs of wear and a few dents, particularly to the top and the bottom of the roller bar. Lighter not currently working.

A gold fitting, detailed 750, weight 1.6 gms, another gold fitting, a gold mounted folding pocket knife, detailed 585, two matching gold plated tie slides, with engine turned decoration and another gold plated tie slide, (6).

A gold mounted fountain pen, detailed Swan pen safety screw cap, Mabie, Todd & Co. New York, 18ct, with pierced scrolling decoration, length 11cm, a gilt metal cased propelling fountain pen, with engine turned decoration and a Parker 51 gilt metal mounted, black plastic fountain pen, with a matching propelling pencil with paperwork for both Parker 51 writing implements and Parker 51 case, (4). Condition Report The overlaid decoration on the swan pen, is detailed 18 CT Swan Pen Safety, Mabie, Todd & Co, New York. We cannot see any signs of this wearing down to base metal beneath, when viewed to the high points at either end. The interior of this pen is not properly closed down, possibly restricted by dried ink. There are no personalised engravings to the pens, the Parker 51 pen cap is in good condition as is the interior of this. The ballpoint propelling pencil has some loss of gold plating at the bottom of the cap. The gilt metal cased propelling fountain pen will propel by turning the threaded top, but is rather stiff.

A brass model of a four pillar table engine, 20th century, the single vertical cylinder with valve chest, the crankshaft is supported in main bearings and carries a spoked brass flywheel, four turned entablature columns are fitted to flat brass baseplates, all mounted on a rosewood plinth. The engine is un-painted and finished with patinated brightwork, 14in (35.5cm) high. Condition Report In good condition, with general wear, would benefit from a clean.

An early live steam model of a Pendulous oscillating engine, 20th century, the twin vertical mahogany-lagged oscillating cylinders with piston rods driving the overhead crankshaft, which is supported by a pair of 'lamp-standard' style partly turned brass columns, the centrally-mounted flywheel is grooved for belt-drive, with two further stepped p.t.o. pulleys, finished in patinated brass with red flywheel spokes, flat sheet brass bedplate fixed to a mahogany plinth, 17½in (44cm) wide. Condition Report Good condition, would benefit from a clean.
