Horn of Glasgow, with a `Western Steam` silver soldered copper multi-tube boiler, sight glass, pressure gauge, regulator and usual cab fittings, the over-type engine with trunk guides and associated oilers, solid flywheel, ratchet oiler and safety valves, the chassis channel formed with rivetwork, chain drive to back universal axle, cast metal wheels with polished brass hubs and fitted rubber road tyres, the steering wheel with ackerman steering mechanisum, Stephenson`s reverse gear, hand-operated foot brake, leaf springs and brass tank to rear, painted dark green with polished brightwork, 122cm long, 36cm wide. Boiler History: An original Western Steam Model Engineers Boiler Certificate No 588. Test Pressure 220psi. Working pressure 100/110 psi. Signed by R.H.T. Walker, February 1995.

A well engineered 2 inch scale model of the Fowler showman`s engine `Princess`, built from Plastow castings and designs, the compound engine with cylinders of 1 3/8 inch and 2 inch diameter bores, fitted with drain cocks, the copper boiler with water sight glass, pressure gauge, safety valve, shut-off clack and blow-down valves, and Pickering type governor, with rear wheels brakes, cable drum and fairleads, oil lubricators, cross-head guides, Stephenson`s link reverse, eccentric driven feed pump and by-pass, two road speeds and fitted solid flywheel, the chassis with spoked straked wheels, and worm and roller chain steering with side belly tanks, 118cm long. No boiler history available (the model has not been run recently and requires some restoration. The canopy has been removed from the engine.)
