A 1979 MG Midget 1500, registration number DDL 536V, chassis number GAN6-224615G, engine number 73702, Vermilion red. With less than 20,000 miles from new, this fabulously original MG Midget has been fastidiously maintained by its five registered keepers. Originally supplied by Wadham Stringer, Newport, Isle of Wight (original bill of sale on file) with the optional extras of a hard top, full tonneau cover and hood cover (all of which it still retains today). The interior is in excellent condition with all original fittings as are the soft top, tonneau and hood cover. The original Rostyle wheels have recently been refitted with their original tyres (?) to replace the bolt on wire wheels (which are supplied with the car) which the MG had been wearing for some time. The MG will be offered for auction with its large history file with previous MOTs confirming the extremely low mileage, the original order form, bill of sale and correspondence between Wadham Stringer and the original owner, receipts, Passport to Service, brochures and heritage certificate. MGs of this originality and low mileage rarely come on to the open market making this a great opportunity not to be missed. V5C, MOT to January 2019 See illustrations
A 1969 Lotus Elan Plus 2 S, registration number YWE 600G, maroon and silver. The Lotus Plus 2 was the start of Colin Chapman's up market push to distance his cars away from the kit car image they had and was the first Lotus not to be offered in kit form. Based on the successful Elan, the Plus 2 had a longer chassis which allowed the fitting of occasional rear seats. The model had several improvements over its production run including increases in power and finally the fitting of a five speed gearbox. The example we have the pleasure in offering for auction has been in storage since its last MOT expired in 2012. The car has benefited from a replacement Spider chassis and suspension undertaken by a previous owner. In the current ownership the engine has recently just been rebuilt (will require running in), with new valves, guides, seats, oil pump, rings, timing chain, gaskets, etc. The Weber twin carburettors have been rebuilt, the clutch has been replaced and the brakes have been overhauled. The Lotus also benefits from a stainless steel exhaust. We are advised that the interior would benefit from some attention to the upholstery and the exterior paint work is presentable but would benefit from a respray. This Lotus now offers an excellent opportunity to acquire a true classic with room for improvement when time and funds allow. V5C, no MOT See illustrations
A 1957 Singer Gazelle Series 1 convertible, chassis number A7603524HSO, engine number 7603503HOO, Pippen red over black. This rare and original Series 1 convertible has only had five registered keepers from new. The first owners were believed to be a father and son (Mr Norman & Mr Stafford Huskinson) who owned the car between 1957 and 1989. The third owner a Mr Pitman owned the car for the next 20 years until it was sold to the previous owner in 2009. When the previous owner acquired the car it was complete and running, he then stripped the car to embark on a rebuild. The engine and interior have been removed from the car to aid access for repairs. The current owner purchased the car from a Charterhouse auction (July 2012) and has since removed the paint and completed localised repairs to the bodywork in readiness for a full respray. The remainder of the car is in a similar state to when purchased with the engine and interior still removed and the soft top requiring replacement. This very original and solid convertible now offers the Rootes Group collector and exciting opportunity to acquire and restore a rare Series 1 car to its former glory. ***There is no V5C with this lot. This new keeper will need to apply for a replacement logbook. *** No MOT See illustration

A 1998 Jaguar XK8, registration number R115 PBV, chassis number SAJJGAED3AR021507, engine number CC9711060147, red. This well maintained 4 litre XK8 was originally supplied to its first lady owner by Jaguar House, 782-790 Queens Drive, Liverpool. There would be two further lady owners before the vendor purchased the car. There is a well documented history to substantiate the recorded mileage of less than 89,000 miles, with receipts and past MOTs and the original owner's wallet containing handbooks. The XK8 has been with the vendor for approximately four years and has been used regularly including two European tours. The previous owner had an uprated water pump and timing chain fitted and the car comes with a stainless steel rear exhaust and new Pirelli tyres. It has also recently had new rear brake discs and pads fitted. The car will be sold with the accompanying history file. V5C, MOT to May 2018 See illustration

A 1965 Jaguar S-Type 3.8 S automatic, registration number RCA 163B, ***chassis number 1B56374/BW (not 1B56574/BW)***, Gun Metal grey. Produced between 1963 and 1968 the Jaguar S-Type offered improved handling over its Mk II sibling incorporating E-Type/Mk X independent rear suspension. Available in both automatic and manual configuration they were powered by the venerable XK Straight 6 engine in 3.4 or 3.8 litre capacity. The interior was improved with greater space and better seating and the body was longer with re-shaped and re-styled front end and longer boot. The S-Type has lived in the shadow of its more illustrious siblings but is now respected for the great car it always was with prices increasing accordingly. This example was an original right hand drive example which was exported to Australia. It returned to these shores a couple of years ago and has had an extensive programme of restoration since. The body work has been stripped to bare metal and fully re-sprayed in the original shade of Gun Metal grey at a cost of £10,000. The engine has seen a similar level of restoration being fully rebuilt at a cost of £5,000. Numerous other items have been replaced including the radiator, chrome work and numerous consumables. The interior, finished in dark red, is mainly original apart from the fitting of new carpets and some woodwork which has been re-polished. The Jaguar will be offered for auction with a history file containing receipts and handbooks. V5C, ***MOT to January 2019*** See illustrations

A 1953 Allard Palm Beach Mk I restoration project, registration number JFY 600, chassis number 21C/5140, engine number BOTTA-RY-387368, green. The alloy bodied Palm Beach had a production run between 1952 and 1958 in both Mk I and II configurations. The Mk I production lasted until 1954 with approximately 74 examples finding new homes. They were all powered by Ford, with the first few examples having pre cross flow 1500 Consul engines (which was found to be underpowered) and the remainder of Mk I production was subsequently fitted with the more powerful 2.3 litre Zephyr 6 engine. 21C/5140 was originally supplied by John Peak & Co Ltd, Wigan with the underpowered Consul engine. The Allard would subsequently be returned to the factory to be up-graded to the Zephyr 6 engine in 1956 (CRF60). In the current ownership (deceased) for over 25 years the Allard has been partially restored and has had another change of engine. This time to a Capri 3 litre V6. During the stalled restoration process the aluminium body has been restored, the front section from the A pillar forward is now finished in primer, the doors are new (original doors supplied) but require final adjustment and the rear section in raw aluminium has been repaired and shaped but requires final fettling and attaching to the restored chassis. The chassis has been re-built and modified to except the Capri V6 engine, gearbox and axle (the Zephyr 6 engine and ancillaries are still available and offered with the car), the majority of the other components including the trim, dashboard, gages, running gear and weather gear still require restoration with the exception of the bumpers, windscreen and windscreen surround which have been restored. This rare and exciting project will be offered for auction with a history file containing photographs, receipts, technical data and some fascinating correspondence between fellow Allard enthusiasts. Once completed this rare Allard will be eligible for some of the most prestigious motoring events and is an opportunity not to be missed. RF60, V5C, MOT and tax exempt See cover and other illustrations
EXTRA LOT: A 1947 Morgan 4/4 restoration project, registration number CFK 552, chassis number 1591, green. In Morgan speak the term 4/4 meant four wheels and four cylinders. The 4/4 was a major departure from Morgan's roots of three wheel twin cylinder sports and utility machines. The WWII F4 formed the basis for the new post WWII 4/4 which was introduced in 1939 with a special Standard 1267cc overhead valve engine which would power the 4/4 until 1950. This example was owned by a previous keeper from circa 1971 until it was purchased by our client until 2016. We understand that the Morgan went into storage in running order in the late 1970s with the intention of restoring the car at a later stage. The Morgan was purchased in a similar state as when laid up in the 1970s, requiring restoration it is felt that the car is a very worthwhile project with an engine that turns freely and once completed should offer exclusive Morgan ownership. RF60, V5, MOT and tax exempt

A 1972 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow Series I, registration number OSV 543, Regency red. The Silver Shadow has had a resurgence of popularity and value of late with enthusiasts coming to appreciate the quality and refinement of these luxury saloons. This example comes direct from a deceased estate and has not been used since its last MOT expired in November 2016 and is currently on SORN. The Silver Shadow has had some recent body repairs and a full respray which appears to have been executed to a good standard. The interior still displays its original PJ Evans dealer plaque to the sills and is trimmed in grey leather with contrasting red carpets. The engine and running gear will require recommissioning and checking through due to its recent lack of use. Unfortunately all history paperwork has been mislaid but a new V5C has been issued. ***V5C*** See illustration
A 1965 MG 1100, registration number ELJ 730C, Arden green, from deceased estate. The luxurious MG 1100 introduced in 1962 remained in production until 1971. Their upmarket interiors featured leather fronted seats, deep pile carpeting and walnut dashboards and they were quite revolutionary in their mechanical specification featuring front disc brakes, hydrolastic suspension and transversely mounted A series engine driving the front wheels. This particular example has been in dry storage since its last MOT expired in 2010. It was restored in our vendor's father's ownership in 1998 at a cost of nearly £13000. After completion the MG was exhibited at the NEC National Classic Car Show on the MG Owners Club stand (copy of photograph on file) where it won a concours award. Still presenting well the MG will now require recommissioning after it's eight year slumber. Unfortunately all paperwork has been mislaid and so the next custodian will have to apply for a new V5C. No accompanying paperwork See illustration
A 1974 Bedford TK 330 lorry, registration number RJB 739M, red and black. This Bedford lorry was originally fitted with a petrol engine but has now been converted to the much more desirable 330 six cylinder diesel with five speed gearbox. Many new parts have been fitted recently including steering box, master cylinder, steering arm and brakes. The vendor advises us that the lorry starts and drives well but unfortunately there is not any supporting history or provenance. V5C See illustration
A 1972 MG B GT automatic restoration project, registration number HHA 500L, chassis number GHD5 302324G, engine number 553, white. One of only a very small number of factory built automatic cars most of which were left hand drive. Just out of long term dry storage and requiring restoration this basically sound MG retains all of its original features including its distinctive registration. Our vendor advises when subject to a fuel supply and charged batteries the engine will run with good oil pressure and no signs of overheating. The gearbox selects both forward and reverse gears. This MG is a worthwhile project of a very rare and different B. V5C, no MOT See illustration
A 1951 Jaguar XK120 roadster, registration number VDR 120, chassis number 660545, engine number W2826-7, bronze. This original right hand drive roadster was originally supplied by Henley's to its original owner a Mr Oswald Salvador with a registration MGT 883. Our vendor purchased the Jaguar in the summer of 1969 at the tender age of 19 for the princely sum of £190. In the intervening 49 years the XK has been used in competition (Wiscombe hill climb with the Aston Martin Owners Club), touring with the Jaguar Owners Club and going to the pub. In 2010 the XK was the subject of a body off restoration. The chassis was hot dipped galvanized, the rear springs are nine leaf alpine items, a thicker anti-roll bar and Mk II steering bushes were fitted, the rear axle was replaced with a Salisbury item, disc brakes were fitted all round and the chassis sits on 16 inch 54 spoke wire wheels. The original 3.4 litre engine block has been bored out to 3.8 litre with 9:1 compression ratio pistons. The head is a later straight port gas flowed item with high lift camshafts and lead free valves and seats (original stud less head is available with the car) and carburation is taking care of with 2 inch SUs. The body was stripped to bare metal and all necessary repairs were carried out before a full respray in the original colour of bronze (during the paint removal several colours were found before the original colour). The interior has been re-trimmed in two tone tan leather with matching carpets (two spare drivers spare carpets come with the car) and the steering wheel is a smaller diameter leather rimmed example to allow the very tall driver access (no original steering wheel available). All of this hard work has resulted in a very driveable XK which the vendor says will be sorely missed. The Jaguar will be offered for auction with a history file containing receipts, service details, MOTs, photographs of the restoration, Heritage certificate and numerous spares. V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustrations
