H.R.H. Princess Elizabeth (later H.M. Queen Elizabeth II), collection of 15 photographs of the future Queen serving in the A.T.S. in 1945 where she learnt to drive and repair vehicles. They also show T.M. King George VI and Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margaret paying her a visit when the King famously sabotaged the engine of the car the Princess was working on by pulling off the lead to the distributor to test her knowledge. In addition, there are 5 more photographs of the visit taken from the upstairs window of the base by one of the A.T.S. women serving with the Princess. (20)

Late 19th century French mantel clock by Henri Marc of Paris, the striking movement with silk suspension pendulum, engine turned silvered dial in floral marquetry inlaid rosewood case, with key and pendulum, 24cm high.General overall condition is good, movement is clean and appears to be in working order, although we have not had it running for any period. Silvered dial is dirty and has a black surface mark between II and III.  Case is good, no marquetry missing but some marks and overall surface dirt, LH side panel is slightly warped and has a small gap at bottom right corner. Rear door veneer has a crease from top to bottom and is lifting at the edges. Gilt handle is dirty.
