A FRENCH GOLD AND ENAMELED CUT CORNERED RECTANGULAR SNUFF BOXBy Christian Petschler, the central panels with engine turned decoration, the blue enameled borders decorated with floral and foliate sprays and with urn form motifs. Detailed ABATE. Size 8.5cm x 5.5cm x 1.8cm, gross weight 144 gms.Condition Report: There are one or two tiny marks to the enamel, visible under strong magnification, these do not go down to the gold. There is one tiny scuff mark to one corner. The hinge closes nice and tightly. Overall lovely quality and good condition.

Some dirt an dust. The dial with variation to the centre, general wear. Movement will need to be inspected and there is no guarantee of its working order. One pedulum. No key.
A LARGE FRENCH EMPIRE BRASS MOUNTED MAHOGANY CHEVAL MIRROROn four downswept supports, 108cm wide; 210cm highCondition report:There are numerous condition issues, please see the additional images on www.bellmans.co.uk. At some point the cheval frame has been repaired and repolished. Reused gilt brass added to the back of the engine milled collars. Reused brass collars - ill-fitting and surrounding the steel rods supporting the mirror. The upright columns slightly differ at the top - one on the right side with an extra ring turned edge. The brass candle sockets at the back off the mirror. Missing one brass cap to the castor. Various knocks, chips and losses to the other feet. Shrinkage split and various veneer tears to the left side of the stretcher and supporting block. Wear and bubbling to the veneer to the stretcher. The mirror is not currently aligned correctly within the frame, hanging closer to the left side. Numerous scuffs, chips, shrinkage cracks and general wear to the frame, commensurate with use and age.Mirror glass with some speckling - minor spots of oxidisation to slivering - towards the edges, dirt and dust, scuffs and mild sratches commensurate with use and age. At one point the reverse of the mirror panels were concealed with fabric.

A GEORGE IV SILVER GILT RECTANGULAR HINGE LIDDED SNUFF BOXThe top decorated with a fox hunting scene in a landscape setting, otherwise engine turned to the sides and to the base, London 1822, 9.3cm x 3.7cm x 3.3cm. Weight 159 gms.Condition Report: The makers mark is 'WE'. The hinge is in good condition. There is slight rubbing to the high points of the lid, particularly to the dogs and the fox. Overall a pleasing piece, in good condition. There are sellotape marks inside the lid.
