Hemingway Kits compressed air powered 1/12th scale model of the Ransomes and May Mill Engine, built and executed to a very high standard, comprising of single-cylinder with 3/4" bore and 1 1/2" stroke, the engine has a double-acting slide valve with 4 bar guides, a marine style big-end, an eccentric driven feed pump, Watts type governor, and driven by an ordinary chain running in grooved pulleys, this model was made in conjunction with Hemingway Kits and is fully housed on wooden display plinth and is built to an exceptional standard, fitted with on/off switch and speed control, overall an excellent piece of engineering, a working video of this model can be seen on the external combustion section of the Hemingway Kits website

A very well engineered Hemingway Kits B.Hick and Son Crank Overhead Engine, finished in green and fully raised on wooden display plinth, executed to a very high standard, complete with a 7" x 8½" plinth the model is approximately 14" tall propelling a large spoked 7½" flywheel, bore x stroke of ¾" x 1 7/8", the engine is complete with double-acting slide valve, an eccentric driven feed pump, and a Watts type governor, driven directly from the crank with bevel gears, complete with all other specifications. This model can be seen photographed on the external combustion engine page of Hemingway Kits, to be used and run on compressed air

We cannot see any obvious damage or cracks. As we do not possess any drawings we cannot tell if anything is missing. Engine turns over freely.

A very well made Ship Makers display model of the Steam Yacht "Oriental", we believe circa 1890-1900, constructed from various British and exotic woods with metal and brass components, exceptionally well detailed of museum quality with copper plate written plaque to read "Steam Yacht Oriental Designed and Built by A.J Inglis Pointhouse Glasgow, Dimensions Length 182-0, Breadth 22-0, Depth 14-6, Engine Triple Expansion Clys 13 1/2 22 1/2 36, Stroke 2-3", this fantastic model is housed in a purpose-built light oak and fully glazed display case, display case to measure 142cm Length, Depth 30cm and Height 42cm, one small boat has become detached from the original model but is still present in the original case. Little Provenance is known, recently submitted to auction from an Estate in Ipswich.
