Super Accessories were one of a number of companies supplying the bodies and other tuning parts to the special building market of the late 1950s. The special building market was at its highest during the 1950s with enthusiasts using both Austin and Ford chassis and engines to create two seater sports cars. This situation came about due to a lack of affordable sporting motoring from the main manufacturers and ready supply of pre-World War II chassis and engines. *** This competitive example has been campaigned by the vendor for the last four years in the Bert Hadley Memorial Championship (not the 750 Motor Club formula events, but it is eligible for this event).) in both hill climbs and sprints all over the UK as far apart as Barbon (not Barton) in the Lake District and Goodwood in Sussex winning many awards, the chassis and engine have been totally rebuilt by an Austin Seven specialist with the car being modified to accommodate the vendor who is 6' tall and 17 stone. The Austin 747cc engine has been completely rebuilt with modified competition pistons, new white metal bearings, new billet crankshaft, high compression head, big valves, double springs, modified camshaft, high capacity oil pump, lightened flywheel, Bosch ignition, SU 1¼" carburettor, four branch special exhaust and manifold, aluminium inlet manifold, four speed straight cut gearbox which was built by Vince Leek, uprated dual circuit hydraulic brakes, London wheels with radial tyres, aluminium fuel tank, electric manual cooling fan and uprated 12 volt electrics. A 1970 Morris Mini Cooper S Mk III, registration number EVG 115H, chassis number X-ADI/150923-A, engine number 12H/397F/348, red. Manufactured between March 1970 and June 1971, the Mk III Cooper S is one of the rarest of all Cooper derivatives, with only 1,570 being manufactured before production ceased. In line with the other Mk III models the body was revised with concealed door hinges, larger rear lights and new front grille. This matching numbers Cooper S is an early example having a build date of June 1970, just 3 months into production. As such it has some of the earlier Mk II's features including toggle dashboard switches and dashboard ignition switch. Having had only two registered keepers from new (both resided in Suffolk), the first owner registered the Mini on his personal registration 30 RHW and kept the car until 1978. On selling the Cooper to its second owner a Mr John Mills from Beccles, he retained his personal registration and the Mini was allocated the period registration EVG 115H. Our vendor purchased the car in 2015 direct from Mr Mills, removing it from Mr Mills's garage where it has been in store since approximately 1990. EVG 115H was then sent to Mini marque specialists, Coopers Garage, Mildenhall for a full restoration retaining as much originality as possible. The restoration took approximately 18 months and was completed in December 2016. During the restoration the shell was stripped back to bare metal and new Heritage panels were let in as necessary, retaining the original body numbers, before a full respray was carried out. The engine which sports a period Osseli special tuning cylinder head was fully rebuilt. The hydro-suspension and all running gear were also fully rebuilt and all bright work was restored to a similar high standard. The original interior has been sympathetically restored to retain as much originality as possible to retain some period charm. The Cooper sits on period Dunlop alloy wheels shod with Dunlop S/P tyres which certainly suit the sporting nature of the Mini. This rare and quite unique Mini is offered with a Heritage Certificate, verifying it's matching number status, a V5 verifying Mr Mills as the second owner, past MOTs and tax discs ***(but no original handbook)***. The vendor who resides in America has taken the reluctant decision to sell his Mini due to a change in plans which now means that he will not be returning to Britain and he does not wish to export the car to the States. This fully restored Cooper S now offers an opportunity to purchase a rare Cooper without all of the inconvenience associated with managing a full restoration. V5, no MOT See illustrations

A 1934 Austin 10/4 Colwyn Cabriolet, registration number RV 4807, chassis number G33986, engine number IG 34094, black with brown accents. Introduced in 1934 to complement the family of 10/4 Austins, the Colwyn was described by The Motor Magazine as a neat occasional four seat Cabriolet, with folding three position hood and rear luggage compartment. Nicknamed Bonnie, this charming Colwyn Cabriolet was originally purchased for £178.00 by a Mr A D Smith, the owner of Farlington Garage, near Portsmouth. On delivery, the odometer had a delivery mileage of 13 miles and five gallons of Shell petrol was put into the tank for just over seven shillings. Bonnie was mainly used for a weekly wage collection and touring holidays, she was subsequently fitted with a tow bar to tow a caravan or trailer and visited amongst other places, Ripon in Yorkshire, Ffestiniog, Snowdonia and Cornwall by way of the infamous Porlock Hill. All these journeys are carefully documented from 12 April 1934 until September 1949, noting average speed and MPG, stops undertaken and time, and whether or not the caravan or trailer accompanied the Austin. The Austin Sports Ace disc wheel trims and spare wheel cover, and all running repairs were recorded during Mr Smith's ownership. When Mr Smith decided to part with the Austin in 1968, 65,182 miles had been covered. Bonnie was then purchased by a Mr John Gates for £75.00, he would then use the car regularly for the next five years before passing custodianship onto his daughter and son-in-law, who enjoyed the Austin on numerous road rallies and runs. A Mr John Harrison was then the next owner who purchased the car for £850.00 in January 1977. In 1982, Bonnie was taken off the road for 16 years for a comprehensive restoration. Mr Harrison restored the car retaining as much originality as possible and carefully used refurbished original parts and repairing the leather interior. The hood was subsequently replaced, but all carpets and running board rubbers were retained. When the restoration was completed, the Austin toured France twice and has won six first place awards at the Austin Ten Drivers Club national rally. Ownership changed hands again in 2015 and was purchased by our vendor in 2016. RV 4807 is presented in excellent condition and is not only an extremely rare model but is offered with a comprehensive and most revealing history detailing its life with the various owners, including six winners rosettes from the ATDC national rally, a Motorine logbook with the aforementioned records dating from 13-3-1934 until 1968 (including petrol consumption at 41 mpg), oil consumption, oil changes, tyre records, chassis lubrication and a schedule of repairs. The history file also contains images of the restoration and photographs of the Austin at various locations with the caravan, handbooks, an original sales leaflet, the warranty, spare parts lists, a Castrol lubrication chart, numerous invoices, previous MOTs, RF60 and RF60A logbooks. With its continuous history from new and being presented in excellent condition this rare Austin is every bit as charming as it was when new, and will be cherished by its new custodian and will be ready to be shown or enjoyed as one wishes. A 1979 Aston Martin V8 Series IV Oscar India, registration number CVT 924T, chassis number V8SOR12082, engine number V/540/2082/S, blue. The Series IV V8 was scheduled to be introduced in October 1978 (code name Oscar India) to replace the outgoing Series III. The most visual difference between the outgoing model and its replacement were the restyled bonnet and flipped lip to the boot, while the interior received a redesigned dashboard and centre console, and the headlining became leather. This particular Oscar India has had six owners from new, with our vendor owning the Aston since 2005. During his ownership, he has had the sills restored, fitted a stainless steel exhaust, resprayed the car in metallic blue, rechromed the bumpers and replaced the veneers and treated the leather. He further advises us that he has enjoyed taking the Aston down to Le Mans on four occasions, having the privilege of exercising the V8's power on parade laps on more than one occasion with the Aston Martin Owners Club (photograph on file). The Aston was last MOT'd in 2013, and has been in dry storage since, so will now require light recommissioning and MOT'ing before taking to the road. This Aston Martin now offers an exciting opportunity for the next owner to purchase a V8 Aston with some room for improvement at a tempting guide price.
