DUNHILL; a Dunhill 70 gold plated cigarette lighter and another both with textured detail to body, both in original branded boxes, the former with instruction booklet, and a further Dunhill silver plated light patent No.466087 with engine turned detail and inscribed initials 'ML' within flag device to the lid (3).Additional InformationThe second lighter has had an owners label glued to it leaving the label and glue residue to the body. Rubbing to corners and edges, general surface wear, not tested, no guarantee of working order, boxes with general surface wear with fading and rubbing to the gilt lettering.

Luca Papaluca (1890-1934) The Steam Ship SS Endymion sailing off Naples with a smouldering Mount Vesuvius in the background, flying a merchant navy ensign and Royal Dart Yacht Club pennant, signed, bodycolour, 38x60cm. The SS Endymion was a British Cargo Steamer of 887 tons built in 1909 by John Fullerton & Company, Paisley, Yard No 207 for J. & P. Hutchison, Glasgow. She was powered by a steam triple expansion engine. In 1934 she was purchased by Moss Hutchison Line, Glasgow and in 1934 by Verano S.S Co , Gibraltar. On the 21st January 1938 she was torpedoed and sunk by the Spanish nationalist submarine General Sanjurjo when 16nm S of Cabo Tiñoso when on passage from Newport for Cartagena with a cargo of coke.
A Holland & Holland 12-bore hammer action shotgun, with 28" inch side-by-side Damascus barrels, finely foliate-engraved locks, hammers and trigger guard, nicely figured engine-turned walnut stock, numbered '6876', Serial No.29226 marked on action and between barrels, bores measure approximately 0.740 left and 0.708 right as you look down them. walls approximately 0.029 – 0.039 inches, the other measures from approximately 0.054 – 0.059. In Holland and Holland fitted brown leather case with original oil bottle. Condition: the stock has some knocks and scuffs, the barrels are free from pitting with mirror finish inside, when hung the barrels emit a nice tonal ring. (A Valid shotgun certificate must be provided to handle or purchase this shotgun)

Rosemary Rees MBE (1906-1995) A set of six pilot's log books dating between June 25th 1933: (Trial Lesson in a Club Cadet) to 23rd June 1947, together with a leather flying helmet, leather gloves, two photograph albums, photographs of Ms Rees as a dancer and related ephemera and books on flying.*Notes Daughter of Sir John Rees, Rosemary began her early career as a dancer travelling around the world and performing in Ceylon, China and America. After her trial lesson in 1933 she gained her full licence after only six hours of flying time. By the time she joined the ATA she had obtained her instructors licence and over 600 hours flying time. As one of the first eight female pilots of the ATA she began to fly a wide range of aircraft including Spitfires, Hurricanes and Mosquitos as well as larger four engine aircraft. In 1941 she became deputy to Margot Gore at the all female ferry pool at Hamble-on-Solent eventually flying 91 different types of aircraft. In 1946 she began her own charter company called 'Sky Taxi'

More expensive and less adaptable than the Land Rover the contract was amended and only 11,000 were eventually supplied to the British Army.
