A Massey Ferguson 35 petrol/T.V.O. farm tractor bearing the registration number 627 AAX, Serial Number: SKM 199233 and accordingly understood to date from 1960. The petrol/T.V.O. versions of the M-F 35 were far outnumbered by the diesel engined tractors, which were fitted with the easy-starting and accordingly popular three-cylinder Perkins 3-152 engine. The tractor we have here appears to be the de-luxe model having live P.T.O. with a dual-stage clutch, a revolution counter with hour meter and a cushioned seat. The tractor has; it is understood, always been kept under cover, has excellent solid body-work and presents very well; obviously in the past, having had a decent quality paint job carried out. She had; until the last few days, languished at the back of a building for several years and was delivered to the sale-rooms yesterday (Tuesday 9th November) still not having been started. We flushed through the fuel feed and cleaned and adjusted the points and pretty soon the engine was running and showing very good oil pressure, it is however suspected that a new distributor rotor arm is required as the existing has tape applied to it. She runs, drives and stops pretty much as she should and the hydraulics appear fine. Please note: the lower radiator hose has a small split and it would be prudent to fit new hoses before installing anti-freeze prior to the anticipated cold spell of weather. The rear hydraulic lower arms are present as well as stabiliser bars and a nine-hole draw-bar. No battery is present, thus we used a new, over-size battery from one of the other tractors in the sale, this explaining why the bonnet is not properly seated in the on-line video that can be viewed. Unfortunately no registration documents are to hand, if these are located this fact will be announced at the time of sale. ***N.B. THE BUYERS PREMIUM ON THIS LOT 10% + V.A.T. A very early production New Fordson Major Mark 1 E1A with petrol/T.V.O. engine serial number 1217749 indicating a likely production date of January 1952 and thus only the 649 th off the production line. A very straight tractor ideal for oily-rag preservation rather than renovation, starting very easily, running and driving well at the time of cataloguing. The engine oil has been changed and the tractor is sold with a good quality new battery. Unfortunately no registration documents are to hand.***N.B. THE BUYERS PREMIUM ON THIS LOT 10% + V.A.T. (Total Premium 12%). -- If purchased via the-saleroom.com an additional 5% + V.A.T. will be added (Total 18%)***
A David Brown Cropmaster petrol/T.V.O. tractor fitted with a fore-end loader, a very straight two-seat tractor, starting, running and driving well at the time of cataloguing. Two gear-sticks provide six forward and two reverse gears. The engine oil has been changed and the tractor is sold with a good quality new battery. The dashboard plate does not appear to concur with the tractor as it indicates that it has a diesel engine. This tractor has the 3 hinge-pin type bonnet side panels. A V5C registration document has been found and is present, the registration number being HSJ 304, the fuel is however incorrectly referred to as Diesel. SORN in place. ***N.B. THE BUYERS PREMIUM ON THIS LOT 10% + V.A.T. (Total Premium 12%). -- If purchased via the-saleroom.com an additional 5% + V.A.T. will be added (Total 18%)***
A collectable Fordson Major Diesel farm tractor with KFD 68 orchard conversion by Stormont Engineering. This tractor is based on a New Fordson Major Mark 1 but with a down-swept exhaust, re-designed front axle and running on 28" rear tyres. Started easily, ran and drove normally at the time of cataloguing. The engine oil has been changed and the tractor is sold with a good quality new battery. Engine serial no: 1317727 indicating a likely date of manufacture of November 1954. Unfortunately no registration documents are to hand.***N.B. THE BUYERS PREMIUM ON THIS LOT 10% + V.A.T.
