1927 AC 6 Aceca Coupé Transmission: manualMileage:77500Although AC’s reputation was established by John Weller’s famous overhead-camshaft six fitted to this example, its early offerings relied on proprietary four-cylinder engines. The AC chassis featured quarter-elliptic springing front and rear, a three-speed gearbox in unit with the rear axle and worm final drive. Front wheel brakes were optional at first, standard issue from 1927. Rated at 12hp for taxation purposes the four-cylinder AC remained in production until 1926, the firm relying exclusively on the Weller 15.7hp six thereafter. This lovely highly original example has been in the same family ownership for over 60 years and is presented in beige/black with brown leather interior, which is pleasantly patinated. In running condition, this wonderful coupé can boast the fact that all its controls and gauges are functioning including the clock, which is rare with cars of this age. Its six cylinder engine is mated to a three speed gearbox integral with the rear axle. The brake system is rod operated with fitted front brakes as an option. It has rear chassis and wing steps which provide the access to the ‘dicky’ seat to the rear, it has wind down side windows, ‘pull over’ hood with easy peg fixings on windscreen top rail (the hood could do with some attention). The car has been re-wired with armour cable incorporating a master battery isolation switch, and its rear mounted fuel tank with gauge, connects to a fuel line filter which in turn connects to a scuttle mounted Autovac. It also comes with an original ‘hints for owners’ handbook in well used condition although the present owner has compiled some technical manuals for ‘power train’, ‘body and chassis’ and ‘general’ which are so useful. A fun classic in original condition.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

1965 Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint Coupé Transmission: manualMileage:68562Introduced in 1962, Alfa Romeo's 106 Series 2600 range was a direct replacement for the preceding 102 Series 2000 cars. The latter's chassis design and body styles were retained, with minor revisions and improvements, but in place of the old, long-stroke, 2.0 litre, four-cylinder engine was a new, 2584cc, twin-cam six clearly descended from the immensely successful Giulietta. A maximum output of 145bhp was claimed for this unit when installed in the Sprint Coupé and Spider, good enough for a top speed of around 200kmh, and Cars Illustrated magazine reckoned this magnificent power unit ‘one of the smoothest, quietest running sixes, irrespective of the speed at which it is running’. Carrozzerias Touring and Bertone were responsible for the 2600 Spider and Sprint Coupé respectively; both of which looked like their 2000 predecessors. First registered on 18th October 1965, this late model 2600 Sprint presents very well in metallic blue. Having benefitted from a photo documented, ground up restoration some years ago, in 2018, the car enjoyed significant expenditure on its mechanics, including a full engine rebuild, an upgrade to triple Weber carburettors, along with a new clutch and radiator. Whilst at Tipton Garage in Devon - who carried out most of the service work in recent years including the engine rebuild - a new set of Michelin X tyres were also fitted to the car. Out of the 6,999 2600 Sprints Alfa Romeo produced, only 596 of them were supplied in right hand drive making this car a rare example. The vendor reports the car to run and drive very well and his love for it can be seen in the history file where, apart from the many receipts for work carried out, photos, brochures etc, the vendor also kept a diary of his usage with notes about the car which he is only selling now due to his age and becoming unable to use it as much.Supplied with its V5C registration document, original brochure, usage diary, impressive history file and photos of the car during its ground up restoration and at shows. Handsome and elegant, these cars were Alfa Romeo’s flagship models in the early 1960’s and still ooze sophistication today.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 2009 Secma F16 Transmission: manualMileage:5853The Secma F16 is a 1598cc rear engine micro sports car which offers exciting driving on the road or on a track. It was unveiled in 2008 at the Paris Motor Show and is powered by a 1.6 four-cylinder Renault engine that propels it to 60 mph in a mere 5.9 seconds. This little ‘pocket rocket’ is rear-wheel drive and features a five-speed manual transmission which is also sourced from Renault. With its open top (with a hood) it provides the occupants with great open motoring and with its weight distribution being 60/40, it feels more like a Porsche on the road. With its design resembling more like a beech buggy, which it couldn’t be further away from; its unique looks and lively engine make this a wonderful fun run-around.This example is presented in red with black interior and is powered by the aforementioned power plant from Renault. With only a few miles on the clock and limited use, this offers great value sports car driving at a fraction of the price of its more expensive rivals.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1995 Ferrari F355 Spider Transmission: manualMileage:41897Manufactured from May 1994 to 1999, the Ferrari F355 was an evolution of the Ferrari 348. It is a mid-engined, rear wheel drive, V8 powered two seat coupé. At launch, two models were available; the coupé Berlinetta and the Targa topped GTS. The Spider (convertible) version was introduced in 1995. One major difference between the longitudinal V8 in the 348 and that in the 355, apart from the displacement increase from 3.4 to 3.5 litres, is that the F355 features a five valve per cylinder head that is considerably more powerful, producing 375bhp. The nomenclature does not follow the formula from the previous decades, i.e. engine capacity plus cylinder number for example, the Ferrari 308 name comes from three litres plus eight cylinders, with the same for the 328, 348, 512 etc. This time, Ferrari used engine capacity plus number of valves per cylinder; proud to boast about this technological advancement, with the name 355 coming from 3.5 litres engine capacity and five valves per cylinder. The F355 has become the most popular model so far with over 11,273 cars produced. This lovely low mileage example presents very well and is finished in the rare coachwork of Swaters Blue complemented by its tan leather interior. The discerning will no doubt note that this has the desirable manual gearbox powered by the 3496cc V8 engine fitted with the Bosch Motronic fuel injection. Reassuringly at 40,073 miles, a cambelt service was carried out. This example is in very good order throughout having been imported from Newport, California at the beginning of 2018 by the current vendor. UK lights have been fitted to conform with UK regulations and the history file includes an original toolkit, service book with many Ferrari main dealer service stamps, and UK V5C registration document. This is a lovely looking Ferrari that will no doubt give a lucky new owner great pleasure and pride of ownership.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1969 Marcos 1600GT Transmission: manualMileage:89131In 1966 the Marcos GT changed from using the expensive Volvo 1800cc unit to more affordable Ford 1500cc and 1600cc ones. The glass fibre bodied Marcos 1800 GT had been a sensation when first shown at the 1964 Racing Car Show. This was to be the design that would become familiar to sports car enthusiasts for more than 30 years, even though the original plywood chassis would later be replaced by a steel chassis and the futuristic scalloped dashboard also vanished after a few years. The plywood chassis was glued together from 386 separate pieces and was not only light and strong, but also required a minimum up front investment to construct. The extremely low Marcos required a nearly supine driving position and fixed seats, mounted lower than the floor of the car. In return, the entire pedal set could be moved fore and aft with a knob on the dashboard.Without a doubt, simply the best 1600GT we have ever seen. The supplied Marcos heritage records and correspondence in the impressive history file shows this beautiful Marcos was first supplied to Franco Paulo Pizzalon Esq. of Mountsorrel, Leicester on Monday 30th December 1968 having been ordered just a couple of months earlier on 5th November 1968. Ordered new in the same colours it still sports of Porsche Orange with black trim, the car was lovingly restored after the vendor acquired the car in 2013. Painted to a high standard, it looks as if the car has been painted much more recently. The interior was also completely retrimmed by Auto Lounge in Buckinghamshire and the car sits on a set of very rare period magnesium Minilites.First registered on 6th January 1969, the car was clearly loved and used a lot. The file shows a record of various maintenance work carried out throughout its early life. At some point between 1972 and 1975 the Ford crossflow unit was swapped for a Lotus Twin cam engine. Indeed, the original advert and the engine’s specification are included in the history file. It shows that the twin cam was built to a high specification with a ported and polished Mk. 2 head, steel main caps, competition bearings, Tufrided crank and flywheel, Powermax pistons and more. A unique period modification which makes perfect sense to the ethos of the Marcos brand. The car truly does present incredibly well and is reported to run and drive just as well. The car is supplied with its UK V5C registration document showing only 3 former keepers -the first two being Mr. Pizzalon and his son and the third, a friend of theirs. The vendor bought the car in 2013 and started the full restoration from there.  The accompanying history file includes the original sales brochure, period Motor Week article, Ford tuning guide, old MoT test certificates and many receipts. A unique example of what must be the best in class of one of the true giant slayers of British 1960’s automotive ingenuity.  Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1966 Jaguar S-Type (3.8 Litre) Transmission: automaticMileage:32279Produced from 1963 to 1968, the Jaguar S-Type was technically a more sophisticated development of the Jaguar Mk. II, offering buyers a more luxurious alternative. It was available with either 3.4 or 3.8 litre XK engines and featured longer rear bodywork among other styling and interior changes. Despite its extra weight, the S-Type's independent rear suspension allowed it to corner faster than the Mk. II, especially on uneven surfaces, providing better traction and a much smoother ride for rear seat passengers with the consensus that the S-Type offered significant improvements over the Mk. II in road holding, safety and ride comfort. It was described as 'a convenient family car, a businessman's express, a sports coupé and a grand tourer.'This well presented example is finished in burgundy coachwork over a beige leather interior and is fitted with the desirable 3.8 litre engine mated to a Borg Warner automatic gearbox. The paintwork is generally very good and retains a deep shine and the interior is very pleasant, the seats and carpets look to have been renewed in more recent times and the wood veneer dashboard is well. Offered with previous MoT test certificates, a leather Jaguar wallet with booklets, the UK V5 registration document and a Jaguar Heritage Dating Certificate.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1989 Porsche 928 GT Transmission: manualMileage:141944Critics immediately recognised the advances inherent in the 928 over the 911 and it was universally praised as one of the greatest GT cars of all time. It handled, it was quick, it looked fantastic, and it was comfortable. With the 928, Porsche created a serious long-distance grand-touring car that could also tackle twisting B roads with ease thanks to super direct steering, fifty-fifty weight distribution and a clever Weissach rear axle that kept the car firmly planted. Many road testers found that their nerve ran out long before the 928’s grip. Porsche continuously developed the 928 throughout its production life, culminating with the launch of the S4 in 1987 which differed slightly from the earlier cars with its smoothed-off front and rear bumpers, larger rear spoiler, more interior equipment, and a five-litre version of the V8 engine developing 316bhp. 1989 saw further development with the launch of the GT model, featuring a more powerful five-litre engine creating 326bhp, but more importantly, the introduction of a five-speed manual gearbox for those who wanted a sportier driving experience. This well-presented example is offered in beautiful Guards Red coachwork and has been maintained to a high standard throughout its life. The vendor reports that the five-litre, 316bhp, engine sounds fantastic when on song while the manual gearbox performs well. Offered with a sizeable history file detailing many old MoT test certificates, sundry invoices, maintenance bills and the current UK V5 registration document. This lovely, rare right hand drive Porsche 928 GT is fitted with the desirable five-speed ‘dog-leg’ manual gearbox and is offered in very good order throughout. It is believed that only 38 right hand drive, manual 928 GTs were supplied to the UK market making this one of the rarest Porsches that any collector or enthusiast could own.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1969 Lotus Elan S4 Drophead Coupé Transmission: manualMileage:46889From a private collectionDesirable S4 Drophead Coupé modelUK Taxes paidThe Lotus Elan was designed in 1962 by the legendary Colin Chapman, whose brilliance at lightweight chassis design produced one of the best handling sports cars ever; a design which is still revered as much today. The previous model, the Lotus Elite, had a fibreglass monocoque bodywork which proved insufficiently rigid. Chapman introduced an effective steel backbone chassis to the Elan whilst still retaining the fibreglass bodywork. So successful was this chassis, that it still forms the basis of Lotus cars today. Only weighing in at 680kgs and with a cleverly designed twin cam 1498cc (and later 1558cc) engine built upon an existing Ford unit, it proved exceptionally nimble on the straights and in the corners showing Chapman's true understanding of suspension dynamics. In March 1968 the final Series 4 was introduced. Benefits included dashboard fresh air vents and improved interior trim and fittings. The fibreglass coachwork was lighter and incorporated flared wheel arches to accommodate the wider wheels; side repeater/indicators and larger Plus 2 rear lights were also added. This example has recently been imported from South Africa where it resided in a private collection. Presented in red coachwork over a black interior, this Elan is fitted with a Lotus Ford eight valve engine and twin Stromberg carburettors developing circa 112bhp. The paintwork is well although there are some age-related blemishes and the interior generally presents in good condition. Fitted with knock off wheels, the Elan comes with UK Taxes paid and the NOVA document, however it will require an MoT before it can be UK Registered. Rarely do Elan S4’s come to the open market without reserve and this example should not be missed.Interested parties should note that this vehicle runs and drives but would benefit from additional fettling before use. Unfortunately the rear bumper has also been damaged and will need to be replaced.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1959 Triumph 3TA Transmission: paddleMileage:30925The Triumph Twenty-One (also known as the 3TA) was the first of the Triumph unit construction twin cylinder motorcycle. Rebranded as the Triumph 3TA in 1959, it continued in production until 1966 when it was survived by the Triumph T90. The engine was a classic Edward Turner with dry sump lubrication and a single Amal Monobloc carburettor. The 'Twenty-One' name spelt out in full chrome on the side panels is thought to either celebrate the twenty-first anniversary of Triumph Engineering Co. Ltd. or the US displacement in cubic inches equating to 350cc.Originally registered on 1st April 1960, this extremely well-prepared Triumph has been restored and presents in very good order. The paintwork is virtually unmarked as is the chromework. Benefitting from being a matching numbers motorcycle and supplied with a V5C registration document, this 350cc 3TA is very collectable and certainly deserves further inspection especially given the popularity of these iconic British motorcycles.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2012 Land Rover Defender 110 XS TD Transmission: manualMileage:1755The Land Rover Defender was launched in 1948 and, incredibly, production only finished in January 2016 after a continuous run of 67 years. Outwardly, there is little to distinguish the post-1983 vehicles from the Series III Land Rover. A full length bonnet, revised grille, plus the fitting of wheel arch extensions to cover wider track axles are the most noticeable changes. Internally, coil springs offered a more comfortable ride and a permanent four-wheel drive system derived from the Range Rover featuring a two speed transfer gearbox with a lockable centre differential. A modernised interior and a new series of progressively more powerful and modern engine characterised things under the skin.Supplied new by Stratstone Land Rover, Mayfair, this one owner from new example was registered new on 15th December 2012 and has covered a mere 1,755 miles. The Indus silver metallic paintwork and leather interior are both in superb condition as you would expect for a car of this mileage. Fitted with various factory options including alloy wheels, seven forward facing seats, checker plating on both front wings and lamp guards. The XS specification also includes heated front seats, air-conditioning, electric front windows, and heated front and rear screens. An Alpine head unit has also been installed with satellite navigation and an Apple Lightning port and Bluetooth connectivity fitted. In excellent condition throughout the Defender is offered with its original owner’s manuals, service book, Clarion remote control and two keys with fobs. The most recent MoT test was on 28th January 2021 at 1,501 miles, which was a first-time pass with no advisories or defects and its most recent scheduled service was in July 2017 at 1,271 miles, where technicians at Stratstone Land Rover Tottenham Service Centre changed the engine oil, filters, brake fluid, transfer case fluid and the front and rear differential oils. This is surely the lowest mileage Defender available today and is an excellent opportunity to acquire what must be the best example on the market.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2006 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Transmission: automaticMileage:25100The Bentley Continental Flying Spur (2006 - 2013) was the second Bentley manufactured since the Volkswagen Group purchased the brand in 1999, after the Continental GT. The Flying Spur is essentially a four-door version of the Continental GT, with a stretched wheelbase and greater length for more spacious rear seating. The two models were similarly priced. The 2013 Spur weighs 5,580lbs and carries the same twin-turbo, 6.0 litre W12 engine used in the Continental GT, for an output of 600 horsepower and 533 pound-feet of torque. It has a 0-60mph time of 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 200mph. The steering column-mounted paddle shifters enable direct access to the six-speed gearbox when the ZF transmission is put into ’S’ or sports mode.Originally registered in 2006, this striking Bentley presents well in two-tone, the lower half of the silver metallic paintwork has been wrapped with a matte purple wrap which works extremely well with the immaculate contrasting cream Connolly leather interior. The records for this Bentley show only three owners and a very low mileage which is borne out by the stunning condition of the vehicle. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and a fresh MoT test certificate, this is a realistically priced opportunity to purchase the ultimate 200mph, luxury Bentley saloon.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1934 MG PA Transmission: manualMileage:893The MG P-Type was manufactured from 1934 to 1936. This two-door sports car used an updated version of the overhead camshaft, crossflow engine used in the 1928 Morris Minor and Wolseley 10 and previously fitted in the J-Type Midget of 1932 to 1934. The chassis was a strengthened and slightly longer version of that used in the J-Type with suspension by half-elliptic springs all round as well as rigid front and rear axles. The most significant improvement, however, was that the crankshaft main bearings were increased from two to three. The top-end was a carry-over with a cross-flow cylinder head and a single overhead camshaft. Most cars were open two-seaters although some streamlined ‘Airline Coupé' bodies were also made. The P-Type was also available as a four-seater, a car that, unfortunately, suffered from a lack of power and poor rear ground clearance. Around 2,000 MG PA’s were produced and in 1935 a new PA open seat tourer cost £222.Manufactured in 1934, this MG PA presents in good order throughout, the car started immediately when requested and the engine ran very smoothly with no adverse rattles or noises. The knowledgeable vendor has fettled this car well to ensure the car is ready to be used and enjoyed by any new owner. These stylish Abingdon built sportscars always cause interest wherever they appear. It is hard to imagine this vehicle is 87 years old, what a great way to enjoy classic car motoring for a relatively modest outlay.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1972 Mercedes-Benz 350SL Transmission: automaticMileage:100558This well-presented example is offered in burgundy metallic coachwork over a beige Tex interior and has been treated to much renovation work with Mercedes-Benz specialists, the cost of which totalling circa £16,000. The works consisted of an extensive brake overhaul, a major service including gearbox, differential and engine oils, a new belt, water pump, starter motor, battery, distributor and a new ECU. Also renewed at this time was the interior wood veneer and central locking system. Dry stored for the past 10 years, this Mercedes has been used occasionally and maintained where necessary. The paintwork retains a deep shine and presents well and the interior is in superb order sporting an upgraded Nardi steering wheel. The vendor reports that the 350SL is a pleasure to drive and runs very well indeed although the interior heater unit will require further attention to bring it back to its best.Showing 100,558 miles on the odometer, this example comes complete with a sizeable history file including photos and invoices detailing its older restoration undertaken in 2003. 1975 Jensen Interceptor Mk. III Transmission: automaticMileage:41319The Jensen Interceptor was launched in 1966 and the all steel bodyshell broke away from the company's traditional method of construction that used GRP (glass reinforced plastic). Designed by Carrozzeria Touring, the early cars were built by Vignale before production eventually was carried out at the Jensen works in West Bromwich. Power was delivered by the Chrysler 6276cc, V8 through a TorqueFlite automatic transmission and final drive being a Salisbury axle with limited slip differential. A manual gearbox was offered as an option. 1968 saw the addition of power steering and, in 1969, the Mk. II was introduced with detail upgrades that included a revised front end and ventilated disc brakes. 1971 saw the introduction of the Mk. III; the engine size was increased to 7212cc and, it was at this time, the most powerful engine Jensen had produced. The imposing presence, power and distinctive shape that included the wrap around glass rear hatch drew the rich and famous to the marque. Production ceased in 1976 with a total of 6408 Interceptors manufactured.Originally registered on 20th February 1975 this delightful Jensen has only covered a mere 41,600 miles from new. Significant sums of money have been spent on this Interceptor over the years, as confirmed by the comprehensive history folder, this includes a large collection of MoT test certificates which confirm the low mileage. Finished in black with black interior , this handsome Jensen is certainly an impressive looking car. On opening the doors you are met not only by the sheer extent of the black leather but also the wonderful aroma it emits. This 7212cc engine is a delight when she bursts into life and is very responsive on the road; it is hard to believe this car is 46 years old. The styling of Interceptors is certainly impressive, borne out by how many admiring glances these cars attract on the open road. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a full year’s MoT test certificate, this is certainly one of the better examples available today.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1990 Mercedes-Benz 280GE Transmission: automaticMileage:110000The Mercedes-Benz G-Class or G-Wagon, short for Geländewagen (cross-country vehicle), is characterised by its boxy styling and body-on-frame construction. It uses three fully locking differentials, one of the few vehicles to have such a feature. The G-Class is still in production and is one of the longest produced Mercedes-Benz vehicles in their history with a span of 32 years. It was developed as a military vehicle from a suggestion by the Shah of Iran and offered as a civilian version in 1979. The first major refinements were introduced in 1981, including an automatic transmission, air conditioning, an auxiliary fuel tank, protective headlamp grilles and a cable winch. Fuel injection became available in 1982 when the 230GE was introduced in Turin, along with more comfortable and supportive front seats, auxiliary heating, wider tyres and wheel arches. For 1985, differential locks, central door locking and a tachometer became standard.First registered on 14th November 1990 and offered in black with the original tartan grey Mercedes trim, this desirable long wheelbase 280GE with the 2.8 litre petrol engine is mated to a recently serviced automatic transmission. This example also boasts a ‘jump seat’ to the rear so in total it has space for six passengers. 2008 Aston Martin DB9 Transmission: automaticMileage:50998The sleek superform aluminium body of the DB9 was initially designed by Ian Callum but had also been significantly influenced by the next director of AM design, Hendrik Fisker. It was powered by a third generation version of the now familiar 6.0 litre, V12 and has a top speed of 186mph. The DB9 was the first of what was to become a long line of production Aston Martins to use VH architecture; using superformed parts in the chassis and footwell as well as the body panels. The individual diecast, extruded or stamped aluminium elements of the VH platform are bonded with strong adhesives and self-piercing rivets to make a lightweight but stiff backbone. The DB9 bodyshell weighed 25% less than that of the DB7 but has double its torsional rigidity. This process also allowed Aston Martin to retain high levels of engineering accuracy in producing a car at a higher volume, ensuring chassis performance to match the engine power. Aston Martins have always made the interior of their cars to be very special places. The fine detail of finishing is typified by the starter button made of glass and sand etched with the Aston Martin wings logo.Originally registered on 9th September 2008, this DB9 is finished in rare Tempest Blue with Phantom Grey and Moonshadow leather interior with Piano Black dashboard. Fitted with cruise control and Bluetooth as an option. A well stamped service book accompanies this Aston Martin with the last service in November of this year with a main dealer. This DB9 is supplied with a V5C registration document and a full years MoT test certificate. This example will give any driver the buzz of Aston Martin pedigree alongside one of the most iconic sounds of any modern car with the glorious V12 engine. 1973 Jaguar E-Type Series III Roadster Transmission: manualMileage:62395The E-Type Series III was introduced in 1971, with a new 5.3 litre, V12 engine, uprated brakes and standard power steering. Optionally, an automatic transmission, wire wheels and air conditioning were available. The brand new V12 engine came with four Zenith carburettors and was claimed to produce 272bhp, more torque, and a 0-60mph acceleration of less than seven seconds, which was phenomenal for the price of the car at that time, considering its competition in the market place. The short wheelbase fixedhead coupé body style was discontinued, with the Series III available only as a convertible and 2+2 coupé. The newly used longer wheelbase now offered significantly more room in all directions. These models were easily identifiable by the large cross-slatted front grille, flared wheel arches, wider tyres, four exhaust tips and a badge on the rear that proclaims it to be a V12. It is thought that only 7,990 convertibles and 7,297 fixedhead cars were produced. This superb right hand drive Jaguar spent many years of its life on Guernsey. The current vendor lived there for a while and brought the car with him when he returned to the mainland. Having owned the car since 1982 and with oceans of family memories, he has decided with a heavy heart that it is time for this E-Type to find a new owner for the first time in nearly forty years. The car was restored in 1985 and again in 2018; the vendor can only be described as fastidious and has always ensured this Series III Roadster is in excellent order. The Primrose coachwork is in superb condition as is all of the brightwork and, with good consistent panel gaps, it is clear the restoration work has been carried out to a high standard. The chrome wire wheels are unmarked and she sits on a very good set of tyres. Fitted with manual transmission we are advised she drives as good as she looks. Supplied with a UK V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate without advisories valid until 3rd June 2022, together with a good history folder. This is a delightful example of an evocative British sportscar and what better way to celebrate 60 years of the Jaguar E-Type launch. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2017 Caterham Seven Spirit Transmission: manualMileage:270The Caterham Seven Sprint is the latest in a long and incredibly varied line of models and was launched at the Goodwood Revival in September 2017. The Sprint is the company’s celebration of their 60th anniversary and, handbuilt at the factory by Caterham, only 60 were produced for the global market with the entire allocation quickly snapped up by enthusiasts. It was available in a limited range of heritage hues for the body and scarlet red Muirhead Scottish leather for the interior seats. With the style of the car reminiscent of the original Lotus 7 models, the engine is the same 80hp three-cylinder turbo-charged 660cc Suzuki engine as fitted to Caterham’s Seven 160, along with its five-speed gearbox, and the drivability and performance are said to be exciting. This particular example is number 27 of 60 factory built cars, registered by Caterham on 5th July 2017 and delivered later in July 2017. A one owner car, the bodywork is painted in Camberwick Green complemented by cream steel wheels with chrome hubcaps, whilst the interior has stunning Muirhead Scottish leather adjustable seats in scarlet red embossed with ‘CATERHAM’ on the backrest. The interior also features a bespoke Moto-Lita wooden rimmed sport steering wheel with engraved aluminium centre embossed with ‘Seven Sprint’. This car comes with optional extras including driver and passenger lowered floors, weather equipment with cream piping, heated windscreen and heater. A real collector's item, this example comes with little over delivery mileage and benefits from a recent service in November this year and a new MoT. This Caterham is as new and is sure to be very popular for those looking for not only a fabulous driver’s car but also an appreciating asset.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2020 Triumph Bonneville T120 ‘Hinckley Spitfire’ Transmission: paddleMileage:0During the Second World War, the skies above Kent buzzed with dog fights; ME109s and Britain’s classic Supermarine Spitfire locked in mortal combat. The Messerschmitt was simply outclassed and hence the Battle of Britain was won by the ground crew and pilots of Fighter Command. The Spitfire has remained in the subconscious and is still remembered as one of the most sublime designs ever penned, its shape and engine note, the most moving of symphonies. These exquisite machines were often paid for by charitable donations and this one was originally funded by the Hinckley Hosiery Company and built as a single seat fighter at the Castle Bromwich factory in 1944. She entered service later that year with 33 Squadron based at Merville, Northern France. Her primary tasking was ground support of offensive operations often engaging in strafing attacks on enemy rail and road forces. The 4th May 1945 was PV202’s last operational flight, taking her total to 96 operational sorties. Post war, she was restored by Steve Atkins to her current twin-seat configuration and is flying passengers at air shows around the UK.It is unsurprising that when the Triumph motorcycle brand was relaunched, the factory should be located in Hinckley as well. This represented then, the Triumph Hinckley Spitfire Bonneville, a tribute to Hinckley, a tribute to the glorious Spitfire and the men who flew them and a tribute to Triumph themselves who built and donated this fabulous machine free of charge, to be auctioned with all proceeds going to charity. It was during the build, in fact, that some aluminium was taken from the Spitfire restoration and used in this Bonneville build. This bespoke T120 motorcycle with a high torque 1200cc engine includes Brembo front calipers and Nissin rears as well as twin rear suspension units with pre-load adjustment. Needless to say, the coachwork is a one-off and reflects the camouflage pattern of the Spitfire with a nod to the roundels of the RAF.The reason for this motorcycle’s appearance however, is not just to show off the creator’s art - although it is not inconsiderable - but to draw attention to a charity called Aerobility. This charity provides access to aviation for anyone with any disability. They do this because taking to the skies and taking the controls of an aircraft provides relief from the restrictions of disability that cannot be achieved any other way. Aerobility takes to the skies with up to 1000 individuals a year, 30% of whom are wounded, injured or sick members of our armed forces. The experience encourages the question ‘if I can fly an aeroplane, what else can I do?’ and it delivers benefits that extend far beyond the airfield. It is fitting that two such British icons of freedom and determination to overcome adversity, will once again, through this auction, continue to inspire hope and provide help to individuals in overcoming their personal challenges. Aerobility helps them into the skies. The motorbike is, of course, great but the pleasure of release from a wheelchair is indescribable.www.aerobility.comRegistered charity number 1149629Photography with grateful thanks to Richard DeakinInterested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1971 Saab 96 V4 Transmission: manualMileage:61323The Saab 96 was manufactured and marketed from 1960 to January 1980, replacing the 93. The 96 featured aerodynamic two-door bodywork, four passenger seating and at first a two-stroke, three cylinder engine, later a four-stroke V4. The front end was lengthened for 1965 models, in preparation for a new engine, and the radiator was placed ahead of the engine rather than above and behind, a leftover from the thermosiphon cooling days. Both front and rear windows were enlarged slightly for 1968 models. The Saab 96 was driven most famously by Erik Carlsson in many international rallies, coming first in the 1960, 1961 and 1962 RAC Rallies and first in the 1962 and 1963 Monte Carlo Rallies. It was these successive, top-level victories that put the Saab 96 'on the map' and established its reputation for reliability and toughness. Carlsson also competed in the East African Safari Rally. Famous rallying names such as Simo Lampinen, Per Eklund, Pat Moss-Carlsson, Tom Trana, Stig Blomqvist and Carl Orrenius have also been connected with the Saab 96.This delightful Saab 96, first registered on 1st July 1971, is presented in red with retrimmed red and black vinyl seats and boasts a modern stereo. Owned and maintained by our enthusiastic vendor, this is a great entry level classic combining rally connotations from the great 96’s driven by Carlsson and Blomqvist with the practicality of four generous seats and a truly unique design. This long nose V4 version with the 1.5 litre 65 bhp engine is a slice of a bygone era and indeed manufacturer, as Saab ceased production altogether in 2014.Guide Price £3,000 - £6,000 Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2000 Bentley Arnage Red Label Transmission: automaticMileage:79890Launched in 1998, the Arnage was manufactured in Crewe from 1998 to 2009 with its Rolls-Royce sibling, the Silver Seraph, introduced in the Spring of 1998. They were the first entirely new designs for the two marques since 1980 when the Silver Spirit and Mulsanne models were introduced. The new Arnage (Green Label) was to be powered by a BMW V8 engine with Cosworth-engineered, twin-turbo chargers and the Seraph was to employ a BMW V12 engine. The Arnage Red Label was launched in October 1999 with the engine reverting back to Bentley power using the traditional V8 engine and a displacement of 6750cc. As part of the modification process, both Red and Green Label cars benefitted from expanded leg room in the cabin, stiffer bodyshells and larger wheels and brakes. This lovely example is presented in metallic Garnet Black with black leather interior and Wildberry piping. It comes with satellite navigation with remote control, Alpine stereo with six CD player and remote control, memory electric heated seats to the front, electric sunroof, electric windows, rear walnut picnic tables, sheepskin rugs to footwells, air conditioning and cruise control. 1951 Kaiser-Frazer Deluxe Custom Coupé Transmission: automaticMileage:99765The Kaiser-Frazer Corporation was the result of a partnership between automobile executive Joseph W. Frazer and industrialist Henry J. Kaiser. In 1947, the company acquired the automotive assets of Graham-Paige, of which Frazer had become president near the end of World War II. Kaiser-Frazer was the only new US automaker to achieve success after World War II, if only for a few years. Joseph W. Frazer left the company in 1949, replaced as president by Henry's son Edgar F. Kaiser.Registered new in 1951 this Kaiser-Fraser Deluxe Custom Coupé is an extremely rare car; the Kaiser Club believe it is one of just 18 Custom Coupés still in existence and it is finished in its original colour of Cape Verde Green with a contrasting cream and green custom made interior. Powered by a 3.8 litre V6 engine mated to a three-speed automatic gearbox the vendor reports that the Kaiser runs and drives very well. The interior presents beautifully and the coachwork retains a deep shine and is complemented by the Coker style white wall wheels and tyres that offer two options of finish, wire or spinner. This Kaiser is a very interesting motorcar that is in very good order throughout and comes complete with a valid MoT test certificate, and the original sales literature and its UK Registration document. This very unique and rare car is a head turner wherever it goes, and we believe it is offered at a very attractive estimate.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo Transmission: automaticMileage:14117Launched in 1989, Nissan’s Z32 300ZX was the fourth generation of the famous Z-car, a completely fresh design featuring an all aluminium 24 valve engine displacing three litres, a decent handling chassis boasting five link independent rear suspension and radical new bodywork that retained the signature Targa roof. The Z32 was packed with technology under the bonnet and a long list of luxury features inside; electronic climate control, air conditioning, central locking, electronic remote control on the mirrors, power windows, halogen headlamps, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, handbrake lever and gear knob gave the car a quality feel in keeping with the hefty price tag.  This UK specification 300 ZX was originally registered in the UK to the The Sultan of Brunei and is identified on his inventory of cars. As with most of his cars, they were purchased to look at and were very rarely used. Supplied in the UK and sent to Brunei, according to the shipping documents this example returned to the UK in 2006 and has been used sparingly by its owners who obviously have an appreciation for classic Japanese styling. To be expected, the V6 engine burst into life when requested and ran smoothly. We are advised H92 XYV drives very well with no known faults, the twin turbo engine produces300bhp and a top speed of 155mph. The traditional front engine and rear wheel drive layout, combined with the twin turbos make this an exciting car to drive. It was last serviced by Powerzed in February 2021 which included a replacement belt and tensioner, together with a new water pump and hoses. New front and rear discs and brake pads were fitted at the same time, the invoice totalled £1,593. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 8th February 2022, this is surely one of the lowest mileage 300ZX’s available anywhere in the world today. Given the eye-watering prices being achieved by the Toyota Supra, this Nissan has strong investment potential.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1966 Ford Mustang Coupé Transmission: automaticMileage:12056When you talk about classic cars and Americana, there is only one brand and model that comes to mind, the Ford Mustang. No other car has been so successful and produced in so many configurations as this car. Used both on the road and track, this was and still is popular with both the youth of the USA as well as some of its more wealthy collectors. This coupé model is designated a ‘Hi-Po’ V8 with a 289ci engine and Cruise-O-Matic, three-speed automatic transmission. It is also worth noting that it is a ‘dry-state’ car coming, as it did, from Arizona. After its original ownership, it passed to the vendor through Fountain Audi in Iver; not a stock car though, the owner’s private classic. Over the ensuing years, the vendor worked around the world, keeping his beloved Mustang with him. He has now returned to the UK and for the last few years, it has been cared for by Auto de-Lux, US car specialists in Surrey and the mechanics are now completely leak-proof. The paint and interior are good, although not perfect, it does benefit however from factory air-conditioning, power steering and a period-style modern radio with subtle Bluetooth connectivity. It starts perfectly and runs very smoothly indeed, a solid example with a full MoT test certificate and offered for sale without reserve. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2009 Mini Cooper S JCW Transmission: manualMileage:109726Introduced in 2001, the hatchback Mini was the first model of the new generation and back then was simply known as Mini. It was available in Cooper, Cooper S and One variations. In many European markets, the Mini One was powered by a 1.4 litre version but all other petrol powered Minis used the 1.6 litre version. The names Cooper and Cooper S, used for the sportier version of the classic Mini, came from the involvement of John Cooper and the Cooper Car Company. The John Cooper Works model was further refined consisting of an uprated induction system, exhaust and ECU remap, which raised power by 17bhp.This John Cooper Works example is in good order throughout and comes complete with an extensive service history. It benefits from having a rebuilt engine which was completed circa 30,000 miles ago along with other works including a new timing chain kit, new water pump and new clutch. Huge amounts of money have been spent on this example which is detailed in the history file. Offered with a sizeable paperwork file including extensive service history, previous MoT test certificate, its UK V5 registration document and a MoT test certificate valid until 1st February 2022. 1985 Porsche 911 Turbo to Flatnose specification Transmission: automaticMileage:101939On 29th August 1974, Louise Piëch, daughter of Ferdinand Porsche and the mother of Ferdinand Piëch, got a very special 70th birthday present, a Porsche 911 in silver metallic. What made this car special, not indistinguishable from a normal 911 at first sight, was the badge ‘Carrera’ at the rear. The body was standard and only the rear wing gave a hint at what was special under the body. In the tail was a 3.0 litre engine with a turbo charger. At that time, nobody imagined that the turbo would be what it is today. In 1986, Porsche finally offered the Flatnose, called ‘Flachbau’ in German, straight from the factory. The official designation in the UK was Turbo SE, also sometimes referred to as the Slantnose. Offered as the ultimate 930 Turbo, this model had an upgraded body and a 330bhp engine. Costing nearly double the standard model, the Flatnose was rarely ordered. Before 1986, Porsche had offered the Flatnose body option from its customer service department known as ‘Sonderwünschen’. These were handmade cars, not limited to just the Turbo, but the Carrera and Carrera SC as well. Despite the panels being slightly heavier, they were modelled after the Porsche 935 race car for top speed. The conversion required extended rocker panels, wider rear flares with scooped vents and flip-up headlights up front with functional louvres. This striking Porsche 911 Turbo is believed to be one of the 58 flatnose cars built without pop-up headlights by Porsches ‘Special Wishes’ department. Previously owned by Sheikh Salman Hethlain, the car now forms part of a deceased estate. Presenting well in Grand Prix White with a white leather interior, the looks are enhanced by a factory fitted sunroof. We are informed that this 911 Turbo fired up when requested however, having stood for over three years we believe that the fuel injection system requires attention, the car will require recommissioning to be fully roadworthy. The comprehensive file for this car contains a V5C registration document, previous MoT test certificates and main dealer receipts for servicing works completed. Also present is a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. This realistically estimated 911 Turbo could prove to be a rewarding project and enjoyable investment. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1969 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow Transmission: automaticMileage:95971When the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow was released to the public in October 1965, the development departments were showing the result of work carried out over a period of some ten years and the largest production volume of any Rolls-Royce. The new models, designed by J.P Blatchley, were technically striking in three ways. A monocoque chassis was used; all wheels were sprung independently and four-wheel disc brakes now ensured stopping power of the sort that had come to be expected in a modern car. Under the bonnet, the V8 engine that had been introduced in the Silver Cloud series was employed. This pleasant example was registered in June 1969 and is presented in Regal Red with a beige leather interior. The enthusiast vendor tells us that this original Silver Shadow was purchased from the well-known specialists, the Christian family in Southport and is a joy to drive, he has enjoyed the car during his four-year tenure. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and without reserve, this MoT exempt Silver Shadow is a fine example of British workmanship and luxury motoring, still oozing class 52 years after its manufacture.      Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1980 Lotus Eleven Replica By Andrew Denton Transmission: manualMileage:302The Eleven was designed by Colin Chapman and fitted with a sleek body designed by aerodynamicist Frank Costin. Its top version, dubbed Le Mans, was generally fitted with a 1100cc Coventry Climax FWA engine and occasionally with a 1500cc. Coventry Climax FWB engine mounted in the front of a tubular space frame and featured a De Dion rear axle and Girling disc brakes. Several cars were fitted with alternative engines by their owners, these included Coventry Climax 1500cc, Maserati 150S 1500cc and 750cc engines. There were two main body styles, one with a headrest and the other with no headrest, just two small fins. Some cars were later fitted with a closed body with gullwing doors to meet GT specifications. This superb looking Lotus Eleven Replica has recently been imported from South Africa where it resided in a private collection. It was professionally built in 1980 by South African coachbuilder Andrew Denton to replicate the original Lotus Eleven that, in 1957, won the Index of Performance for the Le Mans 24hr Race. Fitted with an aluminum body and tubular chassis this Eleven has been built to ‘Club model’ specification which includes a live rear axle. In 2018 and 2019 this Eleven was successfully campaigned by Diane Dugmore at multiple HSSA events such as the South African Historic Grand Prix.In good order throughout this Eleven runs and drives very well. 2013 Lotus Seven Replica By Birkin Racing Transmission: manualMileage:When the Lotus Seven was launched in 1957, designed by the legendary Colin Chapman, it was far ahead of any other sports racing cars of the era. The car was so right first time, it is still in production today, as the Caterham. It is the second most copied car on the planet. Lotus produced the classic Seven through until 1970, the Series 3 benefitting from a strengthened chassis, wider wheels and tyres, slightly wider and strengthened Ford Escort Mexico back axle, exterior fuel filler and even a fuel gauge! This well-presented Lotus Seven replica is based on a Birkin Racing Seven. It has recently been imported from South Africa where it was part of a private collection and raced regularly. Rebuilt to race specification, this Seven is fitted with a black top Toyota 4A-GE 20 valve engine, developing circa 175bhp. Other upgrades include fully rose jointed suspension, uprated wheels and tyres, a safety fuel tank (which sits in the passenger seat), fully independent rear suspension, limited slip differential, upgraded shock absorbers and fully independent rear suspension.Presented in ‘Team Lotus’ livery, this example has previously been a front runner in the Lotus Challenge Series and we are sure it will be a very competitive car for the new custodian. 1993 Mercedes-Benz 300 GEL Transmission: automaticMileage:226000The Mercedes-Benz G-Class or G-Wagon, short for Geländewagen (cross-country vehicle), is characterised by its boxy styling and body-on-frame construction. For 1985, differential locks, central door locking and a tachometer became standard.Originally registered on 30th September 1993, this long wheelbase, petrol engine, G-Wagon defies the mileage as it presents exceedingly well. Clearly a very well looked after example, the black coachwork is virtually unmarked and the grey leather interior shows no significant signs of wear and is unblemished. We are advised she drives as good as she looks and the engine certainly sounds great. This highly desirable Mercedes-Benz is fitted with the additional seats to the rear and benefits from having had a recent full service, including a gearbox service, new front discs and pads and a new exhaust system. Supplied with the original owner’s manual and maintenance booklet, together with two sets of keys, previous service receipts, a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 20th February 2022, this 28 year old utility vehicle is fitted with automatic transmission and offers versatility, reliability and prestige all in one.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2010 Aston Martin DBS Volante Transmission: automaticMileage:8090The Aston Martin DBS was a grand tourer based on the DB9 and replaced the 2004 Vanquish S as the flagship model. The DBS name had been used once before on their 1967-72 grand tourer coupé and the modern car was officially unveiled at the 2007 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on 16th August 2007. The convertible version of the DBS, dubbed the DBS Volante, was unveiled at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, followed this time by the 2009 Concours d'Elegance. The DBS Volante included a motorised retractable fabric roof controlled by a button in the centre console which could fold into the compartment located behind the seats in just 14 seconds. Impressively the roof could also be opened or closed even at speeds up to 30mph. Other features included rear-mounted six-speed manual or optional six-speed ‘Touchtronic 2’ automatic gearbox and a Bang & Olufsen BeoSound DBS in-car entertainment system with 13 speakers. The DBS was selected to be the service issue Aston Martin for the 2006 James Bond movie Quantum of Solace and stared in a record breaking action sequence towards the end of the film and an exhilarating opening scene for Daniel Craig's second outing as Bond. This stunning low mileage DBS Volante offered in Silver is enough to make any Aston enthusiast go weak at the knees the moment the glorious V12 engine roars into life. Benefitting from a full service history, two sets of keys, a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until October 2022, the odometer on this Aston Martin has only just clicked past 8,000 miles. 1972 Jaguar E-Type Series III Fixedhead Coupé Transmission: automaticMileage:71883One consequence of the E-Type’s long process of development had been a gradual increase in weight, but a good measure of the concomitant loss of performance was restored in 1971 with the arrival of the sensational Series III V12. Weighing only 80lb more than the cast-iron-block 4.2 litre that it replaced, the new all-alloy, 5.3 litre, overhead camshaft V12 engine produced 272bhp, an output good enough for a top speed well in excess of 140mph. Further good news was that the 0-100mph time of around 16 seconds made the V12 the fastest accelerating E-Type ever. Other mechanical changes beneath the Series III’s more aggressive looking exterior included ventilated front disc brakes, anti-dive front suspension, Lucas transistorised ignition, and Adwest power-assisted steering, while automatic transmission was one of the more popular options on what was now more of a luxury Grand Tourer than out-and-out sports car. Flared wheel arches, a deeper radiator air intake complete with grille and a four-pipe exhaust system distinguished the Series III from its six-cylinder forbears, plus, of course, that all important V12 boot badge. The interior though, remained traditional Jaguar. Built in two-seat roadster and 2+2 coupé versions, both of which used the long wheelbase floor pan introduced on the Series II 2+2, the Series III E-Type continued the Jaguar tradition of offering a level of performance and luxury unrivalled at the price.Built on 27th April 1972 and shipped to British Leyland New York USA, this left hand drive V12 E-Type was returned to the UK in 2017. A matching numbers example in its original colours of white with a Cinnamon leather interior, it is also fitted with air conditioning. Now UK registered, the car has had just two UK owners and has been well maintained including new rear brakes calipers in 2019 and a stainless steel exhaust and new GAZ shock absorbers in 2020, with approximately £8,000 of expenditure on file. Mechanically the car starts and runs as it should, the automatic gearbox works well and has had a recent oil change. This is a largely original and unrestored car and it presents well although the paintwork is showing some minor signs of age. This is a well presented, useable example showing a modest 71,883 miles on the odometer and is offered with a sizeable history file including a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Dating Certificate and the UK V5 registration document.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1962 Chevrolet Corvette C1 Transmission: manualMileage:52218General Motors designer Harley Earl loved sports cars and was influenced by the GI’s bringing home MGs, Jaguars, Alfa Romeo’s and the like after hostilities ceased in Europe in 1945. Even the small independent carmaker, Nash Motors, began selling a two-seater sports car in 1951. Earl convinced GM that they also needed to build a two-seat sports car. Earl and his 'special projects' crew began working on the new car later that year which was code named 'Opel'. The result was the 1953 Corvette, which took its name from a small, manoeuvrable fighting frigate and was unveiled to the public at that years Motorama Car Show.Presented in iconic red with red inserts, this splendid C1 was fully restored in the US before our enthusiastic owner took delivery in early 2017. This is an Arizona supplied car, as seen by the original US title. The first and only owner in the UK, our vendor, has used the car for trips to the pub and local shows in his five years of ownership, with most journeys being relatively short apart from a recent trip to Cornwall during which he states the car performed excellently both their and back and was a pleasure to drive. Boasting the 327ci V8 engine, recent additions include a new fuel tank and electronic ignition, new water pump, all gearbox and shaft seals replaced on the four-speed manual gearbox and we are informed there are no drips, the Rochester carburettor has been rebuilt and fitted which has made for a great responsive drive.Having always been garaged in an air-conditioned garage, as part of our vendors modest collection, the car never sees the rain and at the time of consignment all gauges were in working order apart from the clock, but one could say time stands still when enjoying a C1 on the road with the top down. This is a very well priced and iconic C1 in what we believe is the best colour combination.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1949 Bentley Mk. VI Special Transmission: Mileage:57889The Bentley Mk. VI was the first post-war luxury car from Bentley, produced from 1946 to 1952. It was also the first car from Rolls-Royce with factory coachwork although chassis were still also supplied to independent coachbuilders. The chassis and engine went on to be used as the basis of those in the Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith of 1946 and Silver Dawn of 1949. The factory bodies were made by Pressed Steel Ltd of Coventry and sent to the Bentley works at Crewe for painting and fitting out with traditional wood and leather.Applying the aeronautical skills he learnt whist working at De Havilland, the well-respected engineer John Anderson built 12 Mk. VI Specials, each one unique in its own way. This 1949 registered Bentley was built by him in 1984 and, after being converted to a ‘Special’, spent most of its life in Australia. When the owner passed away, the car was then sold to Anderson’s son. This Mk. VI Special has been used on a regular basis by the knowledgeable vendor and enjoyed immensely. The 4¼ litre engine starts on the button and runs very well. The gearbox operates as it should and this Bentley offers brisk performance, particularly taking into account it is 72 years old. The green coachwork is in good order as is the aluminium bonnet. The black leather interior presents well and is complemented by the wooden dashboard and easy to read dials. The proportions of this Mk. VI Special are very good making this a very handsome car indeed - it is easy to see why the vendor has enjoyed using this car as his daily driver! Supplied with a UK V5C registration document this Bentley is only being sold due to a change in the vendor’s circumstances. 1990 Volvo 240GL Saloon Transmission: manualMileage:44641You can't fool the general public and with over 2.8 million Volvo 240/260s sold during their lifetime, the message is clear. These cars are well-built; workhorses and they have to be to cope with the long Swedish winters. All panels are fully galvanised and reliability is a given. There is no breaking down when it's 20° below outside. This is the 240 GL, the mid-engined of the range with two litres and four cylinders at your disposal. The GL relates to comfort level and with electric windows, special Volvo snow mats and the elegant charcoal velour interior, it is easy to see why it was so popular in the 70s and 80s.Supplied fully serviced from the vendor’s private collection and complete with a 12-month MoT test certificate, this example stands out not only for its low mileage but as well as its remarkable condition. This represents one of the more versatile models supplied with four doors, a petrol engine and a five-speed manual gearbox. 1964 Piaggio Vespa 150cc Transmission: paddleMileage:45The Vespa has evolved from a single model motor scooter manufactured in 1946 by Piaggio & Co. of Pontedera, Italy. Designed by Renzo Spolti and Vittorio Casini and known as the MP5 (Moto Piaggio no.5). From its inception the Vespa scooter has been known for its painted, pressed steel unibody, which combines a complete cowling for the engine, a flat floorboard and a prominent front fairing. Upon seeing this new design for the first time, Enrico Piaggio exclaimed ‘Sembra una Vespa!’ (It resembles a wasp). The new scooter had been named. This iconic design has featured in displays at the Guggenheim in New York and the Pompidou centre in Paris.A stunning restored 150cc 1964 Vespa in a modern colour scheme of grey with a tan seat, this example, which starts on the button, has been recently serviced with two new tyres fitted and boasts an original maintenance booklet. 2001 Jaguar X-Type Transmission: automaticMileage:22500The X-Type, codenamed X400, was launched in 2001 to compete in the compact executive class dominated by the rear-wheel drive BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-Class despite Jaguar having no directly competitive platform. Instead, the X-Type used a modified version of the front-drive Ford CD132 platform shared with the contemporary Ford Mondeo with the addition of all-wheel drive and handling and steering engineered to minimise front-wheel drive torque-steer. Initially, the X-Type was available only with all wheel drive, using a centre differential with a default split of 60% torque to the rear wheels, 40% to the front wheels. Engines included either of two V6 petrol engines: 2.5 litre or 3.0 litre. In 2002, an entry level 2.1 litre V6 front wheel drive model was added. All three engines were available with either five- speed automatic or five-speed manual gearboxes. This lovely example is presented in metallic blue with cream trim has covered a remarkably low 22,500 miles and has just three previous keepers, the first owner having the car until August 2020. This is an all-wheel drive example with the desirable 3.0 litre petrol engine and is described by our vendor as driving superbly having been garaged most of its life. Within the history file is a service booklet with eight service stamps, receipts and invoices verifying the mileage. An MoT test certificate until September 2022 and the cherished number are included in the sale and we are informed the car is only being sold purely due to loss of covered storage. This is an all wheel drive, low mileage example in stunning condition that combines practicality with Jaguars legendary reputation. Guide Price £5,000 - £7,000Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1959 Mercedes-Benz 220S Ponton Transmission: manualMileage:41584The Mercedes-Benz 220A was succeeded in March 1956 by the 220S saloon which was externally almost identical but had an upgraded version of the six cylinder, 2195cc engine giving 99hp which was later increased to 106hp due to the use of twin carburettors. Introduced in 1956, the 220S saloon was one of a trio of new models featuring unitary construction bodyshells employing large, box-section side members, hence the term 'Ponton'; the others being the 190 and 219. All round coil-sprung independent suspension had long been a fixture of the Mercedes-Benz range and that of the newcomers benefitted from the newly developed single pivot rear swing axle. Short-wheelbase coupé and cabriolet versions of the 220S soon followed. Visually, the 220S featured a new one-piece front bumper instead of the three-piece bumper used on the 220A. Also, the twin chrome and rubber strips running under the doors of the 220A were replaced with solid chrome strips. This delightful 220S Ponton, offered in black with a red leather interior, was delivered originally to South Africa. In right hand drive format, this Mercedes-Benz example was purchased from its original owner and then shipped to Germany in 1990. Whilst in Germany, the Ponton was restored between 1991 and 1992 with the bodyshell coated in zinc prior to painting. Most of the restoration, we are led to believe, was with an ex-Mercedes-Benz engineer; the engine was subsequently overhauled by Mercedes-Benz AG of Neu-Ulm in 1996. Supplied with a V5C registration document, we are advised this Mercedes-Benz 220S Ponton drives as good as she looks.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1959 Jaguar XK150 Roadster (3.4 litre) Transmission: manualMileage:171Spring of 1957 would turn out to be the final glorious incarnation of Jaguar’s fabulous ‘XK’ series of sports cars. The XK150, lightly re styled with its newly fitted Dunlop disc brakes and other minor upgrades. First available only in fixed head and drophead coupé forms, the newcomer retained the same basic chassis, 3.4-litre engine and four-speed Moss transmission of its predecessors but was improved with a restyled, roomier body with a higher front wing line, single-piece wrap-around windscreen, and broader radiator grille. A wider body would also facilitate a single-piece wrap-around windscreen replacing the divided screen. This very well presented example is one of the best we have seen and was delivered new to Jaguar Cars New York in May 1958. More recently been repatriated to the UK where a comprehensive restoration was undertaken. The matching numbers engine was rebuilt and the brightwork has been re-chromed along with a new set of wire wheels. The interior too has been retrimmed to a very high standard in blue, and the body was treated to a bare metal respray in a fabulous shade of ivory. In superb order this XK150 is ready for a new custodian and is offered with many invoices detailing the restoration, which totalled over £50,000, the UK registration document, and the Jaguar Heritage Certificate. 1973 Triumph GT6 Mk. III Transmission: manualMileage:92641he GT6 was launched in 1966 as a fastback version of the popular Spitfire model. Powered by a 2.0 litre engine from the Triumph 2000 the model enjoyed a production run until 1973. This new model, like the Spitfire, inherited what was essentially the Triumph Herald’s chassis and running gear which had already proved capable of handling six-cylinder power when developed for the Vitesse saloon. With brisk performance and stylish looks the GT6 deserved its nickname of the ‘mini E-Type’ and today it is one of the most sought after post-war Triumph sports cars with only 13,042 Mk. 2002 Mercedes-Benz SL500 Transmission: automaticMileage:98265The fifth generation Mercedes SL range was in production between 2001 and 2008 and carried the factory code of R230. The development of the new car had begun in early 1996 with drafts of the new model being submitted by ten designers from three different countries. Hundreds of sketches were submitted that would form the basis for 12 quarter scale models which were digitized for computer manipulation. This processing technology was referred to as Computer Aided Virtual Environment, or CAVE for short. This all new model featured a retractable hardtop, known as a Vario roof and an active body roll system which uses accumulators and hydraulic fluids to regulate the firmness and heights of the suspension balancing comfort and handling. This Mercedes was originally registered in October 2002 and has benefitted from a wide bodykit. 1956 Maserati 450S Recreation Transmission: manualMileage:The Maserati 450S was made for participating in FIA's endurance World Sportscar Championship racing with a total of just nine produced. Development of the 450S started in 1954 under the codename Tipo 54 led by Vittorio Bellentani and Guido Taddeucci. Their intent was to use larger engines than those already in use by Maserati. The initial development began with the engine, which was a 4477cc short-stroke V8 with four 45 IDM Weber carburettors mounted between the Vee rated at 400bhp. The Tipo 54 project was shelved in 1955 after a catastrophic crash at Le Mans. In early 1956, Tony Parravano, a wealthy American housing developer, commissioned Maserati to build a new large-bore V8 engine for use in a Kurtis Indy chassis. The car had an open top body designed by Medardo Fantuzzi resembling the 300S. The 4.5 litre V8 engine of the 450S was the largest racing engine developed by Maserati. The prototype made its racing debut at the 1956 Swedish Grand Prix, with the chassis being renumbered as 4501. The chassis proved unable to handle the power output of the V8 hampering the performance of the car so it was sent back to the factory where a purpose-built chassis having the same number as the prototype was constructed. 4501 was later entered at the 1957 Buenos Aires 1000km driven by Stirling Moss and Juan Manuel Fangio, before being redesigned as a coupé by Frank Costin of England, constructed by Zagato, and raced once again by Moss at Le Mans. The 405S Maserati’s were raced competitively at the world’s most prestigious race events throughout the 1950’s by Fangio, Jean Behra, Moss and Harry Schell to name but a few. This stunning recreation of the iconic 450S is a remarkable, lightweight, aluminium coachbuilt example crafted by Bob Ford and finished in Rosso Red paintwork complemented by black leather trim with a quilted transmission tunnel and door cards. The car has clearly been very well appointed and, boasting a rebuilt 305ci 5.0 litre Chevrolet V8, sounds the part as well, offering up suitable power to propel it swiftly past the legal speed limits while turning heads wherever it goes. The build included work by March Engineering on a donor Daimler chassis in 1984 (the V5C date of registration) and the car has covered less than 4,000 miles since and been in the hands of only a few enthusiastic owners. We are informed it is a beautiful car to drive with balanced handling together with the ample performance. The car is supplied with a history file and UK V5C registration document and has been impeccably cared for with works that have recently included an impressive respray, a new carburettor, a new distributor cap and a new fuel pressure regulator. Replicating the evocative curves of the most iconic race cars from the 1950’s era of motorsport, this fabulous example is enough to make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck and viewing is certainly recommended.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1970 Ford Cortina Mk. II Savage Estate Transmission: manualMileage:42068From the estate of Alan MonkleyBelieved to be owned by Jeff UrenOriginally built to rallycross racing standardThe Cortina Savage was first produced by Race Proved Performance and Racing Equipment Limited in the mid-1960s and came in the form of the MK. II Ford Cortina. It was designed and produced by the 1959 British Saloon Car Champion, Jeff Uren. The most obvious feature of the later Cortina Savage is the optional fiberglass bonnet but this usually not seen until the mk.III. Many other options were also available, such as Mati headers and power pipes, Dunlop wheels, adjustable shocks, and various brake upgrades.Jeff Uren had raced for and managed the Ford Works team before joining the Willment race team, which fielded Ford Falcons, Galaxies, Cobras, GT40s, and, most famously, the humble Cortina Mk. I. Uren was responsible for the development of the Willment Sprint GT Mk. I Cortina. When John Willment gave up racing, Uren set up Race Proved Performance and Racing Equipment Limited as his own company in 1967. The first car to have the Savage treatment (by dropping in a Ford 3.0 litre Essex V6 engine and re-engineering the suspension) was the Mk. II Cortina; this then progressed to Mk. IIIs, Mk. IVs and even a one-off Mk. V Cortina. A review in Autocar, August 1967 of the Mk. II stated ‘it really does hitch its skirts and get moving in the open roads in a manner that will leave practically everything else standing’ while Motorsport Magazine stated ‘the outstanding feature of the Savage is how enjoyable, yet effortless, it is to drive.’ Race Proved linked up with Weslake Engineering who did most of the engine tuning for Jeff Uren. The customers had various tuning choices; the standard Ford Capri-spec 3.0 litre engine with 138bhp and 182 ft-lbs of torque, the 170, 180, 190 and the mighty 218bhp Tecalemit fuel-injected version, which in a 1972 Motorsport Magazine article was timed as fast to 0-60 mph as a Jaguar E-Type V12.First registered in February 1970, this rare example of the Cortina Savage Estate is presented in metallic green with a contrasting black interior with red piping trim and wood veneer dash. We are led to believe that this example was owned by Jeff Uren himself for 21 years and it is thought to be the last one he built, based on a 1600 GT estate but ordered new as a three litre Savage. Found within the history file is history dating back to the order and includes original sales literature from Race Proved Performance Ltd. Alongside countless invoices and receipts there is one from the Savage Register confirming that OBM 307H was of particular interest as was originally prepared for rallycross racing and as a consequence was built to a very high mechanical standard with a racing bottom end, triple carbs, big valve head pushing out a claimed 230bhp and a limited slip differential. Since then, the car has been fully nut and bolt restored and is in show condition. The ownership can be traced with letters, V5 registration documents and magazine entries for the car and as such it is a very well-known and desirable example. In this exquisite condition we strongly advise viewing to both appreciate the quality but also to confirm specification.Interested parties should note that this example has very recently been restored and thus some minor fettling and running in will be expectedInterested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1961 Saab 96 FIA race/rally car Transmission: manualMileage:67060Svenska Aeroplan Aktie Bolaget: the acronym SAAB leaves no doubt about the vocation of the company that, before IKEA, taught us how to appreciate the pragmatic creativity of the Swedes. The Swedish engineers wisely focused on a simple, light, affordable and reliable product: a small vehicle that used a light weight and aerodynamics to make up for the lack of horsepower, built on a simple chassis frame with a two-door body style in which anything superfluous has been eliminated. ‘Lateral thinking’ was also applied to the engine; given that the best car engine was a six-cylinder with medium-high displacement and considering that the SAAB would not have been able to cope with the bulk, weight and cost, the engineers decided to install a two stroke three-cylinder engine!  The greater simplicity and absence of vibration, with the high specific power, made it a perfect alternative for anyone ready to look beyond the conventional.  These characteristics also made it possible to use the 96 in competitions and, above all, in rallies, a specialty long dominated by Scandinavian drivers - the most famous SAAB driver possibly being Erik Carlsson.Originally built in 1960, this Saab 96 wasn’t road registered until 1961. Having spent most of its life as a standard road car, the decision was taken in the early 2000’s to convert it into a Group 2 race car. The accompanying substantial history file shows many pictures, race programs and notes, (in Swedish) from its racing career in Sweden. In 2007 the car was purchased and imported to the UK where it was modified to fit in with the FIA CT1 Competition Touring Car Class. Invoices for various preparation work carried out are included in the file and show several thousand pounds spent with renowned single seater specialist Mark Linstone. Forming part of a large collection of race cars, the vendor has decided to reduce his stable and, despite having just rebuilt the engine to a very high specification, (at a reported cost of £10,000), has decided it is one of the cars that has to go. Indeed, it has only raced once since the engine was rebuilt, with all the safety equipment such as seat, seat belts and fire extinguisher all being in date as well.Supplied with its UK V5C registration document, FIA papers valid through until the end of 2026 and substantial history file. A quirky motorsport legend, this car is eligible to run in most historic touring car series, (having run mainly with Julius Thurgood’s HRDC in the UK) and would potentially be eligible for the Goodwood Revival.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1928 Humber 9/20HP Saloon Transmission: manualMileage:14249Founded as a bicycle maker in 1868, Humber later became associated with Harry Lawson’s British Motor Syndicate, from which it purchased rights to various unlikely automobiles. Freeing itself from Lawson, the reconstituted company commenced motor car production in 1900 with the M D Voiturette, a front wheel drive, rear-wheel steered car. A more conventional range of shaft driven De Dion powered light cars soon followed. Four-cylinder 12hp and 20hp, designed by Louis Coatalen, had been added by 1903 but that year’s most significant introduction was the Humberette, powered by a 5hp single-cylinder engine, it was the first Humber motor car to be produced in significant numbers. 1923 was an important year for Humber, marking as it did the adoption across the range of a new inlet over exhaust engines, replacing the side valve units and the introduction of a new luxury small car, the 985cc 8hp (later called the 8/18hp). Very much a ‘big car in miniature’ and generously equipped by the standards of the day, the latter developed through the 1,056cc, 9/20 to the improved 9/28hp introduced in 1929.This pretty 1928 Humber 9/20HP was purchased by the seller in 1970 and according to the old buff continuation book he is the fourth owner. In the 1980s he set about rebuilding the car as a doctors coupé but on removing the American cloth fabric found the body frame was in poor condition and was not suited for this type of conversion. So, a second decision was made to shorten the rear of the body by 14” and install a boot with a spare wheel. The original short front wings were replaced with a longer design and the brakes were modified to provide four-wheel braking on the foot pedal. After returning to the road in 1993 it was used in a number of navigational rallies and found that it cruises at 40-45mph, gets 30mpg and completes 30 miles in the hour on cross country journeys. Finished in brown fabric with black wings and the original brown interior which is in very good condition, this 9/20HP is supplied with a V5 registration document and a file containing the buff logbook, invoices and manuals.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2020 Ford GT40 Mk. I Evocation by Southern GT Transmission: manualMileage:188The Ford GT40 is synonymous with Le Mans but was first seen at the Nürburgring in May 1964. The Mk. I was the original Ford GT40 but met little success in its initial tune for the 1964 and 1965 Le Mans races. The first success came after their demise at the Nassau Speed Weekend in November 1964 when the racing was handed over to Carrol Shelby. Shelby's team modified the Ford GT40 and the first win at Daytona February 1965 was achieved. 31 Mk. I examples were built at the Slough factory in ‘road’ trim, which differed little from the race versions. Wire wheels, carpet, ruched fabric map pockets in the doors and a cigarette lighter made up most of the changes.Registered new on 1st December 2020, this Superb Mk. I Southern GT has been meticulously constructed in recent years and has covered less than 500 miles since the build. Finished in the classic GT40 livery of Midnight Blue coachwork with white stripes, this example looks superb! The interior too is very well presented and includes Luke five-point harness seatbelts, Smiths Instruments, a 12 Volt socket, air conditioning, immobiliser, and a heated windscreen. Also installed is the correct Mk. I GT40 style right hand gear change and detachable steering wheel. The chassis was professionally powder coated and fitted with a Ford 302 V8 engine stroked to 347 which is mated to a UN1 five-speed manual gearbox. AP Racing brake discs and calipers are fitted all round and are coupled with three spoke knock off spinner alloy wheels. Our vendor reports that the GT40 is exceptionally fast and sounds fantastic when on song. The sizeable history file that accompanies this car includes all invoices from the build, many sundry bills, a spare key and the UK V5 registration document. Fitted with two uprated fuel tanks and new Avon tyres all-round, the GT40 is ready to be enjoyed by its new custodian. Not all GT40 replicas are created equally, this is an outstanding example both mechanically and cosmetically. Built to a very high standard, it is a faithful and accurate recreation that allows for track day and road use.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1992 Mercedes-Benz 200TE Transmission: automaticMileage:87000The Mercedes-Benz 124 series is a range of mid-size cars made from 1984 to 1997. The range included numerous body configurations, and although collectively referred to as the W-124, official internal chassis designations varied by body style; saloon (W 124). From 1993, the 124 series was officially marketed as the E-Class.This automatic example of the W124 200TE is presented in blue coachwork with matching blue trim. It features two-fold-away seats in the boot making this a practical, occasional seven seater. A three-owner example for which the second owner, who’s initials are on the cherished plated which is included with the sale, owned it for over 20 years. The original sales invoice is present in the history file, this is coupled to the original book pack and lots of invoices following a detailed service history which includes 14 main dealer stamps until 2004 and several services invoiced thereafter, this includes a head gasket replacement by Mercedes-Benz in 2008. In 2013 this example was categorised a category D insurance loss due to a repair that the insurer decided not to complete, however the then owner considered the car too good not to repair and return to the road. Since then a new water pump, new brake pipes and engine mounts have all been seen to. The car also benefits from an MoT test certificate valid until September 2022. Space has dictated the need for a new keeper for this lovely example of the fantastically reliable W124 which is equally capable now as it was in 1993.Guide Price £6,000 - £10,000Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1972 Lancia Fulvia Series 2 1.3 S Transmission: manualMileage:60078The Lancia Fulvia was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in 1963 with production running all the way through to 1976. The Fulvia is notable for its role in motor racing history, including winning the International Rally Championship in 1972. On testing it in 1967, Road and Track summed up the Fulvia as ‘a precision motorcar, an engineering tour de force’. The Fulvia Berlina was designed by Antonio Fessia to replace the Lancia Appia with which it shared almost no components. The Appia was a rear wheel drive car, however, the Fulvia moved to front wheel drive like the Flavia. The general engineering design of the Fulvia was identical to that of the Flavia with the major exception of the engine; the Flavia having a four cylinder horizontally opposed engine and the Fulvia a 'narrow angle' vee configuration as featured on most production Lancias. The Fulvia used a longitudinal engine mounted in front of its transaxle. An independent suspension in front, used wishbones and a single leaf spring, while a solid axle with a panhard rod and leaf springs were used in the rear. Four-wheel Dunlop disc brakes were fitted to the first series Fulvia. With the introduction of the second series in 1970, the brakes were uprated with larger Girling calipers all round and a brake servo. This nice example originated in South Africa and was imported to the UK in July 1975 when it shows its first registration on these shores according to the V5C. It is presented in Grigio Patrizi Metallic (grey/silver metallic) with a black interior including HF front seats and interior styling. It sports a wooden HF steering wheel and in 2010 this Lancia was restored by Classic Lancia Restorations to ‘1600 HF specifications’ including 14X6J Cromadora wheels painted in gold which looks stunning. Since the present owner purchased the car in 2011, it has been serviced by Peter Harding Classic Restorations in Hampshire, where general mechanical maintenance work was also carried out (invoices in history file). Its 1.3 engine starts on the button and sounds crisp, providing this Italian classic with spritely performance and is a joy to drive according to the owner. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1988 Mercedes-Benz 280 GE Transmission: automaticMileage:90900The Mercedes-Benz G-Class or G-Wagon, short for Geländewagen, (cross-country vehicle), is characterised by its boxy styling and body-on-frame construction. It uses three fully locking differentials, one of the few vehicles to have such a feature. The G-Class is still in production and is one of the longest produced Mercedes-Benz in Daimler's history with a span of 32 years. The G-class was developed as a military vehicle from a suggestion by the Shah of Iran and offered as a civilian version in 1979. The first major refinements were introduced in 1981, including an automatic transmission, air conditioning, an auxiliary fuel tank, protective headlamp grills and a cable winch. Fuel injection became available in 1982 when the 230GE was introduced in Turin, along with more comfortable and supportive front seats, auxiliary heating, wider tyres, and fender flares. For 1985, differential locks, central door locking, and a tachometer become standard. This very original example is presented in metallic grey with cloth ‘Recaro’ interior and comes with automatic transmission, front grill mounted fog lights and a fitted tow bar. It had a ‘short’ engine replacement at 36,562 which is documented in the history file and the odometer is currently showing a mere 90,900 which is very low for such a vehicle of its age. This iconic 4x4 was last used on the road in 2008 and has been dried stored ever since. The present owner has recently carried out a light recommissioning which entailed new brakes, battery and fuel pump and it will come with a new MoT test certificate. The interior is in nice condition with added benefit of having the extra rear seats, therefore offering the nine-seat option which is extremely useful and electric windows to the front and rear. The vehicle comes with its original booklets, manuals, full set of overmats and a copy of its original data sheet. These 4x4 from Mercedes-Benz have reached ‘cult’ status amongst enthusiasts and this genuine example is devoid of some of those additions which most find unattractive.Interested parties should note that this vehicle was running prior to its delivery but needs re commissioning and cannot be driven away from the auction venue. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1993 Bentley Continental R (special order for Rolex CEO) Transmission: manualMileage:30358Since 1921, the Bentley name has remained synonymous with prestige, performance and luxury. The 'Continental' designation recalls the Bentley Continental of the post-war period. The 'R' resonates to the R-Type Bentleys from the 1950s as well as the Turbo R of the 1980s. Bentley's 1980s resurgence relied exclusively on models whose basic architecture was shared with other Rolls-Royce models however; the Bentley Continental R was unique to the Bentley marque. Despite the need to incorporate non-traditional features such as doors recessed into the roof, the result looked every bit a Bentley, albeit one re-stated for the 1990s. Needless to say, the performance was outstanding, the combination of the Turbo R engine in the new wind-cheating shape cutting the 0-60mph time to under six seconds and boosting a top speed in excess of 150mph.This striking and collectable Continental R was first registered on 1st January 1993 to the CEO of Rolex who special ordered this car with a host of Mulliner upgrades, the most striking of all was the Emerald Green special-order paint, the same colour of the Rolex watch boxes. According to the sales invoice the price when new was £146,000 and K665 MCL is trimmed with Parchment leather and is now showing a warranted mileage of just 30,358. Offered with the build sheets and book pack in a comprehensive history file, we are advised in early 2020 £3,900 was spent on service work with little mileage covered since. The lavish specification includes an up to date satellite navigation system and a £3,000 television to the rear, this is truly a one-off car combining two of the most iconic international brands, special ordered by Rolex and fulfilled by Mulliner for Bentley.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1990 Mercedes-Benz 500 SEC Transmission: automaticMileage:150002The W126 was the flagship series for Mercedes-Benz. Debuted in September 1979 as the successor to the earlier W116 range, the W126 was the second generation to officially bear the S-Class name referring to Sonderklasse or 'special class'. The W126 was initially offered with straight-six, V8, and turbo diesel engine saloon cars but in September 1981, a two-door coupé version of the W126 was introduced. Compared to its predecessor, the W126 was more aerodynamic, fuel efficient, capacious and powerful. The W126 S-Class sported a new Mercedes-Benz design style which was subsequently used on other vehicles in the company's line-up. The W126 line also introduced many Mercedes-Benz safety innovations, including the first airbag supplemental restraint systems, seatbelt pre-tensioners and traction control system.Registered new on 1st August 1990 this 500 SEC is presented in black coachwork and looks superb. The paintwork is good and retains a deep shine and the interior presents very well. Very few examples are offered in black making this a very rare sight indeed. Supplied with old MoT test certificates and the UK V5 registration document the Mercedes is offered without reserve and is a superb opportunity to acquire a nicely presented example.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1969 Ford Cortina Mk. II Savage Transmission: manualMileage:13Fully nut and bolt restoredRic Wood 3.4 litre engineSold from the estate of Alan MonkleyThe Ford Cortina Savage was the incarnation of racing driver Jeff Uren and produced by his own company, Race Proven Limited, who took a Ford Cortina saloon and ‘shoehorned’ the Essex V6 three litre engine into the vehicle. The gearbox was taken from the Ford Corsair 2000E. Weber carburettor, uprated brakes, electric cooling fan, differential, dampers, additional fuel tank and exhaust were all modifications together with the dashboard, alloy wheels and badges made for this unique motor vehicle. Jeff Uren had raced for and managed the Ford Works team before joining the Willment race team, which fielded Ford Falcons, Galaxies, Cobras, GT40s, and, most famously, the humble Cortina Mk. V Cortina. In Graham Robson's ‘The Story of Ford's Best-Seller’, Uren recalled, Walter Hayes (the then head of Ford GB’s PR), wangled quite a lot of 1600E Cortina’s for us to convert although they were very scarce at the time. He approved of the Savage because it put Fords into the hands of a different class of user, older people, quite well-off, who bought them as fun cars. This example of the raucous Savage Cortina is presented in black with matching trim and complementary wood veneer wrapping the 1600 dash. First registered in April 1969, the car has been owned by the vendor since 1989. The car is in stunning fully nut and bolt condition and testament to the skills and persistence of Mr. Monkley whom cherished and restored this car that also boasts a Simpson exhaust. The car has a comprehensive history file and is well known to the Savage register/owner’s club as was Mr. Monkley. The engine is a 3.4 litre Ric Wood Essex engine and was rebuilt in 2009 for which the invoice is found in the history file along with countless invoices and receipts.Interested parties should note that this example has very recently been restored and thus some minor fettling and running in will be expectedInterested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1998 Aston Martin DB7 Volante Transmission: automaticMileage:46763The Aston Martin DB7 was designed by Ian Callum and debuted at the 1993 Geneva Motorshow. Taking many of its design influences from earlier Aston Martin models including the DB4/5/6, it is regarded as one of the most beautiful Aston’s ever built. Production of the latest Aston Martin moved from Aston’s iconic home of Newport Pagnell to a purpose built facility in Bloxham, Oxfordshire. The DB7 was launched with a six-cylinder 3.2 litre supercharged engine which produced 335bhp and boasted a 0-60mph of 5.2 seconds. This powerful engine propelled the DB7 on to a top speed of 157mph. As with the handbuilt Aston Martins, only the finest materials were used including full Bridge of Weir leather for the sumptuous interior, aluminium instrument surrounds and tread plates. This Aston Martin DB7 Volante is finished in Pennine Grey metallic with charcoal full leather interior. This beautiful example has covered a mere 45,270 miles from new. The comprehensive specification includes 18” alloy wheels, CD autochanger, heated seats, air conditioning and heated windscreen. Supplied new by Stratstone Mayfair to Saatchi & Saatchi, this stunning example boasts an impressive service history with 24 service stamps, the last of which was carried out by Aston Service London in April 2019 at 45,260 miles. In March 2021 at 45,994 miles the engine was fully rebuilt by Aston Service London, this included a new set of Ross pistons, the supercharger was also reconditioned at the same time. Prior to completion the car also had a new set of front brake discs and pads fitted, the total invoice cost was £11,353.96. 1961 MG A Coupé (1600) Transmission: manualMileage:When the MGA arrived in 1955, it must have come as quite a shock to MG aficionados who had become accustomed to the pre-war look of the company's sports cars. It was a complete departure in styling and its beautiful, streamlined body was right up to the minute in terms of appearance. It was powered by a new engine; MG had decided that the old XPAG unit had had its day and so introduced a much more modern B Series engine that had made its debut in the recently announced Magnette saloon. The 'A' was officially launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1955. Only 5,869 cars were sold on the home market, giving the MGA the highest export percentage of any British car and was replaced by the MGB in May 1962.This delightful example of the MGA is presented in a modern grey with complementary red trim, it was first registered on 24th April 1961 making this a late car in the production life of the A. The chromework is all in very good order including the optional luggage holder, the interior befits a restored example such as this and is indeed a lovely place to be. The engine bay is simply lovely and upon inspecting this car it certainly gives the impression that it has been a labour of love and is a cherished example. 1997 Mercedes-Benz SL60 AMG Transmission: automaticMileage:78258Launched in 1989, the R129-series continued the SL dynasty from Mercedes-Benz, a 'Sport Lightweight' family which began in 1954 with the legendary 300SL Roadster and 'Gullwing' has survived into its 6th generation with the current R231-series. Traditionally the most sporting model of the MB line-up, the SL was the preserve of the rich and famous when new. From the hypnotic dance of the electric hood mechanism to the rollbar that automatically flips up if the car senses an accident. The SL oozed sophistication with all the latest technology such as adaptive suspension with active damping, airbags, traction control, air conditioning and a superb new five-link rear suspension all as standard. The Mercedes-Benz SL60 was the short-number production AMG variant SL deemed, at the time, to be the flagship of the range. Its enormously powerful and ultra-smooth six-litre V8 engine delivered ferocious performance which could be enjoyed from the luxury cabin which Mercedes-Benz is renowned for. This example is particularly special being one of just 49 right hand drive cars produced. With just 78,258 miles recorded from new, the condition is very good indeed. Offered in Silver with blue leather trim and genuine AMG exhaust tips this facelift model boasts a new soft top and has refurbished wheels, thus is described by the vendor as an exceptionally clean example. Much expenditure has been carried out with one of the country’s leading specialists, the SL Shop, which is documented in the history file. Costing more than £105,000 when new and delivering close to 410bhp with an (unlimited) top speed of more than 185mph and 0-60 in 4.9 seconds, this is a remarkable piece of engineering excellence. To blend such incredible performance with predictable handling and a sumptuous, electronics-packed, leather-bound cabin is a feat that was only achieved by Mercedes-Benz in the nineties. Now revered as a bonafide 'future classic' we believe this car represents a rare opportunity at today's guide price.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2000 Porsche Boxster Transmission: manualMileage:39488The first-generation Boxster (the 986) was introduced in late 1996 and was powered by a 2.5 litre flat, six-cylinder engine. Harm Lagaay's design, inspired by the 356 Speedster and 550 Spyder, stimulated a commercial turnaround for Porsche. Many believe the introduction of the Boxster helped save Porsche from acquisition. It was Porsche's first water-cooled, non-front engine sports car as the Boxster is mid-engine, while in the 911, rear-engine. This layout provided a low centre of gravity, near-perfect weight distribution and good handling. In 2000, the new Boxster S variant was introduced with a larger 3.2 litre engine and the base model received a more powerful 2.7 litre engine. In 2003, styling and engine output was upgraded on both variants. Production of the 986 began at the former Porsche 928 facility in Stuttgart, Germany in 1996. The Boxster was Porsche's biggest volume seller from its introduction in 1996 until the company introduced the Cayenne sport utility vehicle in 2003.This lovely example in dark metallic grey with black leather interior is presented in good condition throughout and comes with air conditioning, electric windows and has a valid MoT test certificate which expires October 2022. It is powered by the smooth 2.7 litre engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. 1953 Land Rover Series I 80" Transmission: manualMileage:103In the aftermath of the Second World War, Rover's chief engineer Maurice Wilks used a ‘demobbed' Willys Jeep around his farm in Anglesey and was impressed with its abilities. Eventually, it wore out and he was keen to replace it with a British vehicle, however, nothing remotely similar was available. Coincidentally, his brother Spencer, who was Managing Director at Rover, had reached the same conclusion as he struggled to get his Rover 10 to reach the more inaccessible parts of his estate on Islay. This is where `The Best 4x4 by Far' started - a utility vehicle devised in 1947, they would have no idea that Maurice's resulting design would become an icon and launch a whole new industry sector. The vehicle appeared as the 'Land Rover' in 1948 and proved so popular with the military and the farming fraternity that demand massively outstripped supply. This Series I Land Rover was supplied new in ‘kit form’ to Australia in 1953, which was common for the era. In 2016 the car was repatriated to the UK and the vendor set about carrying out a total nut and bolt restoration from top to bottom. The bodywork was bare metal stripped and any corrosion cut-out and repaired as necessary. The paint remains in exceptional condition with all the body panels visually straight. Mechanically this Series I has been very well sorted, the engine was stripped, rebored and rebuilt using as many new parts as possible. The axles were overhauled as was the gearbox. A comprehensive selection of photographs depicts the extent of the restoration, the fastidious vendor even made sure he replaced most of the nuts and bolts with the original ones estimating that these alone cost him circa £1,000. Having covered just 103 miles since the restoration and only being sold due to health issues, this Land Rover Series I is a fine example and viewing is highly recommended to appreciate the extent of the rebuild and quality. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1978 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II Transmission: automaticMileage:51945The Silver Shadow broke new ground for the Crewe Company in a number of key areas, from the sophisticated fully independent suspension with an advanced self-levelling system to the four-wheel ventilated disc brakes. The only major components carried over from the Silver Cloud III was the excellent, all aluminium, 6.2 litre V8 and four-speed automatic transmission with fluid flywheel, the latter replaced by GM’s excellent 400 three-speed box in October 1968, while the engine was enlarged to 6.75 litres the following year. Although no power output was ever divulged by the company, merely described as ‘adequate’, the Silver Shadow’s superior aerodynamics meant the car was perfectly happy cruising the motorways. No less than eight individual Connolly hides were used to trim the interior of each car and the standard of finish on the upholstery, rich Wilton carpets and burr walnut veneers was impeccable. Each Silver Shadow employed 20 electric motors, powering everything from the radio antenna to adjusting the individual front seats. Build quality on the Silver Shadow remained unsurpassed, each taking no less than 12 weeks to build from start to finish.Presented in Shell Grey with Charcoal leather trim this left hand drive 1978 Silver Shadow II was repatriated from the US in 2018 and presents very well having been used by our vendor during European trips when travel allowed. Benefitting from works in our vendors tenure include new front calipers, and brake hoses coupled to new front suspension and upper inner mounts. The steering rack has been overhauled and transmission serviced before the carburettors were overhauled. A new battery has been recently fitted along with a new exhaust manifold gasket with new door seals showing a good level of maintenance. Unfortunate lack of storage has led our vendor to look to part with his Shadow but offered without reserve this is a very attractive prospect for a luxury 1970’s Rolls-Royce.Guide Price £7,000 - £12,000Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale.
