1937 Ford Model B Pick-Up Hot Rod Transmission: automaticMileage:The Ford Model B was introduced in 1932 as a replacement for the Model A and was produced until 1934. It was available in a large variety of body styles including two-door roadster, two-door Coupé, four-door saloons, four-door station wagons and pick-up derivative. The Model B's proved very popular with bootleggers as they were easily modified then used to evade the revenue agents in the prohibition era. During the period after World War II, returning soldiers regularly upgraded Model B's with larger engines, improved suspension and transmissions. It was commonplace to fit larger rear wheels to raise gear ratio at high speed, while in the front smaller wheels allowed the car to rake forward for improved aerodynamics. These cars were built to race and became known as 'Hot Rods'.This fabulous Hot Rod is registered in the V5 Registration document as a 1937 car but in fact it is a 1932 car! (Model B cars ceased production in 1934) However, the car being offered at the auction bares no resemblance to the original car as it has been the subject of a £110,000 transformation into an amazing and striking Hot Rod. It is powered by the mighty 350 Chevrolet V8 5.7 litre engine mated to an automatic gearbox. The restoration/transformation was carried out by the well know specialist Jon Golding at Home Grown Hot Rods in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. It is presented in Gold metallic with open wheel configuration and the interior is finished in light brown leather which is immaculate, together with the dashboard in Gold metallic also. This stunning vehicle really must be seen to be fully appreciated and would grace any collection, museum or be the envy of the road or show.

1990 Aston Martin Virage Transmission: automaticMileage:45000The Virage was Aston Martin's replacement for the decades old V8 models and was introduced at the Birmingham Motor Show in 1988. This V8 powered car was intended as the company's top model with their six-cylinder, 1994 DB7 slotted below it but this V8 model (by then in Vantage form) remained the exclusive, expensive and hand built king of Astons. The Virage was a large, heavy car despite its all aluminium body but the 32 valve, 5.3 litre V8 engines elevated its performance to sportscar levels. €˜Acceleration just never seems to run out', claimed Sports Car International on a first test. They also praised the €˜eager and quicker revving' nature of the engine with its Callaway-designed heads and Weber Marelli fuel injection. €˜Nothing sounds quite like an Aston V8', they concluded. The accompanying history file for this handsome Aston shows not only 10 stamps in its service history book, but also a large number of invoices for work carried out over the years by the well renowned Aston Martin specialist Oselli Ltd. The car presents very well and whilst it has recently come out of long-term storage, it has benefitted from a recommissioning service by Oselli at a cost of £6,000. The car runs well, but it is recommended by the vendor that a new set of tyres be fitted, given the amount of time spent in storage. Commonly with Virage's put into storage, the odometer can fail and this is the case with the car offered here. However, the accompanying paperwork shows that the car has covered no more than about 45,000 miles in its 32 year lifetime. Even allowing for the cost of a new set of tyres, this Virage offers incredible value for money and is a rare opportunity to acquire an honest example with great service history.Supplied with a UK V5 registration document, service book with 10 stamps in it, owner's handbook, file of receipts, first aid kit, (never used), full original toolkit, spare space saver wheel and a MoT test certificate valid until March 2023. With a new set of tyres fitted, this brute will be ready to storm the British roads once again.Interested parties should note that contrary to the catalogue description, the toolkit supplied with this car is missing a couple of items.

1969 Morris Mini Cooper Mk. II Transmission: manualMileage:20644To many, its designer Alec Issigonis included, the notion that the Mini might have a future as anything other than basic transport was an anathema, and the idea of a high-performance version was laughable. One man though, saw it quite differently. Racing car manufacturer John Cooper already knew quite a bit about tuning BMC's A-Series engine - he was running the company's Formula Junior effort at the time - and a test drive in a prototype Mini convinced him of the car's competition potential. The result, launched in September 1961, was the Mini Cooper, a car that offered a size/price/performance package that was nothing short of miraculous. The Mini Cooper soon established its credentials as a rally and race winner, and the stage was set for even faster versions. This fabulous historic rally prepared Mini Cooper Mk. II has been built to full Cooper S specification with twin tanks, disc brakes and 1293 engine with twin SU carburettors. Presented in British Racing Green, this example is described as a very solid and well prepared car, used successfully for club road rallys and Historic rally events during the last decade, with many class wins and one championship win. Our vendor acquired the vehicle in 2020 and has been using it for speed events, sprints & hillclimbs but admits it is far more capable for the historic rallys it was designed for. The engine and transmission were built by Bill Richards Racing; the engine is a 1293cc unit with twin SU's, 12G940 35.6mm Inlet and 30mm exhaust, Piper 285 camshaft and Powermax pistons coupled with a close ratio straight cut gearbox with limited slip differential. The suspension and brakes consist of Hi-Lo suspension, adjustable shock absorbers, 5x10 alloys, Minifin rear drums with Cooper 'S' front discs and calipers and a 'fly off' handbrake. Safety equipment includes bucket seats and harnesses, full safety devices, roll cage, long alloy sump guard, plumbed in and handheld fire extinguishers and a master electrical cut out. There are also map lights and rally trip meters ready for the navigator. Aesthetically, the car has period Lucas spotlights and a works style dash. Offered with lots of history including the build specification for the engine, wiring diagram for the custom loom, folders full of receipts and various photographic pieces of its history coupled with a Heritage certificate. An incredibly capable car is fantastic fun and a relatively inexpensive Historic rally competitor or fast road example.

2009 Jaguar X-Type Estate Ex-HM Queen Elizabeth II Transmission: automaticMileage:72544The Jaguar X-Type is a front-engine, all-wheel/front-wheel drive compact executive car manufactured and marketed from 2001 to 2009. In addition to offering Jaguar's first estate in series production, the X-Type would ultimately introduce its first diesel engine, four-cylinder engine and front-wheel drive configuration. The X-Type was developed during the period when Jaguar was owned by Ford as a division of its Premier Automotive Group (PAG) (1999-2009) and marked Jaguar's entry into the critical compact executive segment. The estate was the first Jaguar model designed by Ian Callum. From its saloon counterpart, the design revised 420 tooled parts and 58 stampings for all components rearward of the windscreen, adding 150 pounds. This fantastic piece of Royal history is presented in Emerald Fire with Barley leather interior and the first owner was HM Queen Elizabeth II. This is confirmed by its original booklet stating its registration as PYN IF which can also be seen in photos with HM the Queen at the wheel. It comes with a sunroof, automatic transmission, electric windows, climate control, a good service history, Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate and has been well maintained. The Royal Family might have a long history with Bentley state limousines, but they love Jaguars as well. Although the late Queen Elizabeth II was seen behind the wheel of several cars during her long reign, her favourite seems to be the Land Rover Defender. She had a particular liking for this model, but when that was unavailable, she had a back-up car, a Jaguar X-Type Estate. In the pictures available on the internet, you can see HM Queen Elizabeth II driving this very car with Her Majesty wearing sunglasses and a headscarf which was so typical. She looked happy and healthy, leaving Windsor Castle behind her and at the wheel of the Jaguar, driving up the Long Walk. From 2004 to 2009, the X-Type Estate wasn't among the most desirable models the brand ever built but who would have thought this would be one of Queen Elizabeth II's go-to vehicles? It came with two fuel options and the biggest engine, though, was petrol. It was a 3.0 litre V6 engine, which was the option Queen Elizabeth II had for this particular car. This surely is a car for the serious collector or Royalist and with a provenance which is impossible to match, this is unique! Please note that the private registration that you may have seen online or viewed in any publications is not being sold with the car.Photos of the Queen credited to Jim Bennett

1966 Ford Zodiac Mk. III Transmission: automaticMileage:19290The Ford Zephyr and its variant, the Zodiac, were the largest passenger cars in the British Ford range and were manufactured from 1950 through to 1972. The Zodiac was an upmarket version of the Zephyr 6 but differed considerably from that model by the limousine-type rear doors, sharper roofline (with narrower C-pillar), unique grille (four headlights instead of two), plusher seating with up-market upholstery, dashboard and interior fittings. A choice of individual or bench front seat was available; the front doors and bonnet panels were shared with the Zephyr 6. The 2553cc single-carburettor six-cylinder engine was improved internally to increase the power output to 109bhp, hence the brakes were uprated and were servo assisted, using discs at the front and drums at the rear. A Zodiac Mk. III saloon tested by €˜The Motor' magazine in 1962 had a top speed of 100.7mph and cost £1,070 on the road including taxes. Originally registered on 3rd May 1966, this well-known, Classic Ford magazine featured Mk. III was discovered in a barn in 2007 with just 13,000 miles on the clock and had only one former keeper. Importantly with not a spot of rust, completely original and described as possibly €˜condition wise' the best barnfind you could discover. As documented, the brother of the owner who had died in the 80's, mentioned the car to a Ford enthusiast, he initially wasn't particularly interested in a project car but was persuaded to take a look, the car which was parked in an agricultural building was, upon inspection, in what appeared to be in time warp condition. The enthusiast remarked that whoever had done the work on the car must have been particularly skilled, only to be informed by the brother €˜oh no, it hasn't ever been repaired and it was only this good as William had only driven the car occasionally and never if rain was forecast'. Not believing his luck, he purchased the Zodiac for just £1,000 and found that after a wash, the only shame was that the otherwise perfect paintwork had suffered some micro blistering under the dust it had accumulated over the years. With careful consideration, the car was stripped and professionally repainted in its original Ermine White. This process then enabled an even closer inspection and staggeringly the car appeared to have never seen any repairs, not a single weld, indeed other than the new paint applied. The car is 99.9% as it left the showroom in 1966, but for new tyres and a few new replacements for old consumables. Jump forward a decade and the car now rests in the ownership of one of the country's leading Zodiac specialists and is personally owned by Zodiac Motor Services owner Kevin. Kevin purchased the car after being impressed when asked to service it and the owner no longer being able to drive a manual clutch, as such the car is still as it was after the recommissioning, perhaps running even better in his stewardship. The car still retains the original owner's handbook and even the original stamped service booklet, which is €˜rare as hens' teeth' alongside a copy of Classic Ford for which the discovery and the story is documented over five pages. We also have tax discs, original registration documents and photographs of the car in the barn before and after its first wash. The car is most certainly a piece of Ford motoring history, and no other Mk. III Zodiac will be a patch on this example, as Kevin at Zodiac Motor Services can testify to. Viewing of this car and the paperwork is highly recommended, you will not find another quite like this we are certain.

2019 Mercedes-Benz C200 AMG Line Premium Convertible Transmission: automaticMileage:19114The W205 C-Class was launched at the 2014 North American International Auto Show. The new structure was significantly lighter using aluminium and high strength steel extensively throughout the body, resulting in a 220 lb weight decrease. The car was officially unveiled on 16 December 2013. W205 production commenced on 4 February 2014 at the Bremen plant and production was also undertaken at Mercedes-Benz plants in East London (South Africa), Iracemápolis (Brazil) and Tuscaloosa, Alabama (United States). 1963 Austin Mini Cooper Mk. I (997cc) Transmission: manualMileage:95316The history of this revolutionary motorcar is well-known and its impact socially, culturally and mechanically is well documented. The Swinging Sixties, The Beatles, Twiggy and the Mini are inexorably combined to represent an era that is remembered with great fondness by many people. Very few classic cars have seen such a meteoric rise in values as the Mini has over the past five years. The Mini holds an iconic place in British motor car history and in the hearts and minds of anyone who has owned one, it is safe to say no other car can spark a conversation in the same way as a Mini can. On its introduction in August 1959 the Mini was marketed under the Austin and Morris names, as the Austin Seven and Morris Mini Minor. The Austin Seven was renamed Austin Mini in January 1962 and Mini became a marque in its own right in 1969.Manufactured on 15th May 1963 and first registered on 3rd June 1963 this Mini Cooper has been owned by the late vendor since 27th February 1964. He purchased the car from Moir & Baxter Ltd in Edinburgh for the sum £490.00. The car was supplied to Moir & Baxter Ltd from the factory and it is thought this Mini Cooper was a demonstrator vehicle initially. A restoration project was carried out circa 2009/10 and appears to have been completed to a high standard. Unfortunately, due to poor health, the car was used very little after the completion of the restoration, with the car being stored in the registered keepers garage. Finished in the classic Cooper Mk. I colour combination of Almond Green with Porcelain Green and Dove Grey interior this Mini will require some recommissioning. A significant history folder accompanies 3559 SC with invoices confirming the restoration and a host of previous MoT test certificates. This unique and correct 997cc Cooper has the potential to be a wonderful example without too much effort.Interested parties should note that we have put a new battery on the car and replaced the fuel and the car started straightaway. The engine runs very well and has clearly been rebuilt to a very good standard. The clutch is free and the gearbox appears to operate as it should. Some recommissioning will still be required, including changing the fluids etc. and the tyres, whilst in good order are aged and should be replaced. The overall impression of this Mini Cooper is it has obviously been much loved and well cared for.*Library Images

1997 Bentley Continental T Transmission: automaticMileage:91040The Bentley Continental R was launched at the Geneva motor show in 1991 and the styling of the handsome new Coupé harked back to elegant lines of the S-Series Continental Coupés produced by Bentley Motors throughout the 50s and 60s. The turbocharged 6.75 litre, V8 engine was utilised and internally the car was similar to the Turbo R saloon. Introduced in 1989, the Bentley Continental T brought sportier handling and higher power to the Continental range. It has a four-inch shorter wheelbase than a Continental R, flared wheel arches accommodating the 18 five spoke alloy wheels and a more powerful 420bhp, V8 power unit. To be expected, performance was very impressive with the big Bentley reaching 60mph in under six seconds and a top speed of almost 170mph. This superb example of this rare and desirable model T is presented in Silver Pearl and was first registered 3rd May 1997. To the interior is a full black leather with lighter slate to the seats and steering wheel with an aluminium milled dash, burr elm door cappings, black carpets and lambswool over rugs. The vendors late father was the fifth owner of P22 CON, buying the vehicle most recently in January 2014 having previously bought it in 2007, before part-exchanging it, and regretted the decision thus purchased it back. Presented with a comprehensive service history which includes 18 main dealer services and seven independents, mostly with Bowling-Ryan, and a detailed service file. The car has most recently been serviced at McPheat Automotive, with preceding services at Bentley Newcastle. One of just 322 of these models produced, and this one of the last made before Bentley was sold to Volkswagen, sitting on relatively new tyres with a MoT test certificate until May 2023 a truly collectable and equally capable cross continental tourer able to cruise in comfort at over 150mph!

1970 Mercedes-Benz 280 SE Coupé (3.5 litre) Transmission: automaticMileage:81171In the summer of 1965, Mercedes-Benz launched its new replacements for both W111 and W112 saloons, the W108 and W109 respectively. In a bizarre twist of fate, this car's design was based on the W111 Coupé but widened and squared off as the fintail fashion was quickly fading by the mid-1960s. However, both W111 and W112 models were modernised; the 220 SE was superseded by the 250 SE which featured the new 2,496cc engine, producing 150bhp at 5500rpm, giving it a significant improvement in top speed. Visibly, the changes only affected the new 14 rims with new wheel trims; this was to accommodate the larger disc brakes and the new rear axle. In November 1967, the 250 SE was superseded by the new 280 SE. Inside, the car received wood veneer on the dashboard and other minor changes. A final model was added in August 1969, the 280 SE, 3.5 litre. It was fitted with the brand-new M116, 3,499cc, V8 engine with 200bhp at 5,800rpm, a top speed of 130mph and a 0-100 at 9.5 seconds. To accommodate the large engine, the car's front grille was widened and front bumpers were modified. This fabulous and original right hand drive example is the much sought after V8 example and is presented in black paintwork with matching black leather trim. Our vendor purchased this at the turn of the year from the previous owner a Mr. O'Donnell, who had owned the car since 1991 and in that time had expressly used one garage to care for his car, Steve Redfearn Motor Co., a Mercedes-Benz specialists in Wimbledon. In what is a large history file there are over £125,000 of invoices relating to maintenance and work, plus a £10,000 engine rebuild in 1996 at 41,000 miles. Of late our vendor has replaced and re-upholstered the trim at a further cost of £5,750. This brings to us this incredibly desirable Coupé as it stands today. The wood panels and fascia are in lovely condition throughout, as are all the new leather seats. This model is powered by the strong and hugely desirable 3.5 litre V8 engine which is wonderful on long journeys, coping effortlessly with motorway cruising, but is just as at home on the winding country roads. Truly a rare gem and sublime in its aesthetics. Viewings are highly recommended.

1934 (1952 DVLA registration) Alvis Speed 20/25 SB €˜The Chris Compton Special' Transmission: manualMileage:  As Motor Magazine opened in March 1932, The new Alvis Speed 20 is the type of car which looks right, feels right and is right. From the driver's point of view, the controls are all just where they are required and the power, speed and acceleration provided by the 'hotted-up' but, nevertheless, silky six-cylinder engine are literally an eye-opener to anyone accustomed to driving about in a more or less sedate manner in ordinary motor cars of medium size.€The original Alvis Speed 20 SA could be fitted with a variety of coachwork from coachbuilders such as Charlesworth, Cross & Ellis or Vanden Plas. The Speed 20 SB came along in 1933 with a new, slightly longer, braced chassis. The steering was taken from their racing models, but the engine remained the same apart from with the addition of synchromesh on first gear. The power and flexibility of powerplants available at the time, and indeed later on in its development, opened the door for extensive modifications from specialists in the field who produced sporting models that were amongst the fastest pre-war cars on the road.Chris Compton was one of these visionaries. Based in Wales, Compton's of Welshpool built, restored, repaired Alvis's for over 40 years and had an extensive group of clients who all shared the Alvis passion. During this time, he developed a reputation for craftsmanship and became a leading expert and proponent within the pre-war Alvis community.Winding down the business in recent years, he decided to create his swansong. One last car for himself, built to his own specifications, with no expense spared and he had every intention of keeping it for himself after his retirement but, unfortunately, he passed away shortly after it was completed in October 2016. And so it came to be;SPE 399 was designed as an open two-seater with facility for competition, whether that be circuit racing, hill climbs or even cross continental touring, it even has timing clocks fitted to the hand-machined dash for counting laps. Whilst it is not currently registered with the VSCC the major mechanical engine components required to make it eligible are included in the sale. This is confirmed as a correct SB rolling chassis (although registered as 1952 with the DVLA) that includes completely overhauled period brakes, steering column, wheels, servo, axles, as well as the independent front suspension. It's also been upgraded with an incredibly powerful Speed 25, 3,571cc engine. This was a well reputed engine in its original standard format, but Chris rebuilt this engine for his own competition car and, as such, has improved its performance dramatically. Unfortunately, we don't have any records of exactly what works were completed on the engine, but we do know that Chris spent a great deal of time and money on this particular element of the car in order to get it to his satisfaction, as is evident with its huge performance and smooth delivery. The lightweight, aluminium body is faultless with panels secured with stainless steel locking wire directly from a Harrier Jump Jet, but that's another story. He also took time to painstakingly impress each louvre along the bodywork and chassis rails.Needless to say, the all-synchro gearbox, differential and running gear are all completely rebuilt and a number of subtle upgrades have also taken place such as an overdrive unit, high-volume radiator, an external oil filter, Kenlowe fan, triple electric fuel pumps, battery isolator and a more modern 12-volt electrical system. The car also has a full tonneau cover and hood to enable it to be used in all weather conditions. The hand built folding windscreen mechanism has to be seen to be believed. All the individual components were cast and machined by Chris Compton and fabricated to fit the body shell like a glove. It's design allows it to be folded forward and separate aero screens can be attached to give it a true racing car look. The aero screens can also be attached to the side of the window mechanism to help direct wind away from the drivers face whilst travelling at speed. The vendor is quoted as saying, €œto say this car is fast would be an understatement!€ which reflects in the overall styling of the body finishing from its racing front end through to its boattail-style rear end. The car has only covered 56 miles since completion and it presents in immaculate condition throughout, starts on the button and settles to an even idle. This fabulous €˜Chris Compton Special' is a truly bespoke motorcar and occupies a very special place in the Alvis pantheon.

1964 Aston Martin DB5 Transmission: manualMileage:10920To the casual observer, the 1963 DB5 is virtually indistinguishable from a late model DB4 Vantage; the DB5 is essentially a four-litre version of the DB4. Initially fitted with the four-speed David Brown gearbox, the vast majority of cars received the superior five-speed gearbox either as an option or later as standard fitting. So why is the DB5 so often thought of as the quintessential Aston Martin? Without doubt this is due to a Silver Birch example featuring in the 1964 James Bond film, Goldfinger, complete with special modifications and hidden weaponry. With 007 behind the wheel of the sensational sports GT, demand outstripped supply - the factory just couldn't capitalise fast enough on the marketing success of the DB5. Even today, DB5's are highly regarded and change hands for sums significantly greater than almost anything else in the range. Its production, however, was fairly short-lived, ending in September 1965 after 1,021 had been manufactured.Chassis number '1529/R' was sold new to Carter-Parratt Ltd of Sutton, Surrey and was originally finished in Platinum with red Connolly leather interior. Only one additional owner is listed on the accompanying copy build sheet: Anthony Nathaniel Crossley of Reading Carpet Co Ltd, though the change is undated. The build sheet lists various works carried out at Newport Pagnell up to January 1967 (at 21,691 miles). The previous owner bought the car circa 1988 from his father-in-law, Eric Bradley, who had purchased it from Ralph Rothermere around 1968. Fulham Workshops of Parsons Green (later Clapham Common) serviced the Aston for many years until they retired. In 2006 Aston Martin specialist Tim Bissett, was commissioned for an rebuild and upgrade, these works involved enlarging the engine to 4.2 litres capacity. Photographed in the history file is confirmation the car was used competitively for the 2001 Classic Marathon rally wearing its number 65 and registration 2189 RD. Our highly knowledgeable and enthusiastic vendor purchased this car at a Bonhams auction in December 2017 before undertaking a full nut and bolt restoration. The two-year restoration is detailed in a hardback photo book supplied with the car showing the entire process before being finished and used for his daughter's wedding. Part of the restoration included various upgrades to be implemented and during the restoration our vendor installed a high-capacity aluminium radiator with electric fan, power steering, larger 6x15 spoke wire wheels and 205/70 Blockley tyres and Billet crankshaft with fast road cams. Nice touches to the cars everyday usability includes central locking, an upgraded light system and a retro style modern DAB radio. The history file includes invoices from the restoration, original order details, earlier servicing schedule and engine rebuild details from Tim Bissett, photographs of the car racing, a restoration photobook and details of a full €˜tune up' in 2020. This example has been well cared for by our vendor who has owned no less than three DB5's. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate together with a good history folder the DB5 is still, quite rightly, considered one of the most stunning designs ever penned. This quintessentially British sportscar is a highly useable example.* Interested parties should note that the private registration plate shown is to be retained by the vendor and a new, age-related registration issued instead.

1973 De Tomaso Pantera Transmission: manualMileage:56639De Tomaso's replacement for their successful Mangusta in 1971 was the avant-garde and stylish Pantera. Maintaining the best of the ingredients from the Mangusta, including the mid-mounted 300 horsepower, Ford 351ci, V8 Cleveland engine, five-speed ZF transaxle and dramatic styling, the Pantera also added monocoque construction into the mix, the first instance of De Tomaso using this construction technique. The Pantera was produced until 1991 with the last one being delivered to a customer in 1992. It was designed by American, Tom Tjaarda, making its public debut in Modena in March 1970 and was presented at the New York Motor Show a few weeks later. Power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes and rack and pinion steering were all standard equipment on the Pantera which could accelerate from 0-60mph in an eye-watering 5.5 seconds. The cars sold well with various derivatives emerging from the factory, although it is the early cars that have a certain purity ensuring they remain the most attractive and thus collectible. Presented in stunning red paintwork with contrasting black leather trim, this example of the €˜wolf in wolfs clothing' is in fabulous order throughout. Recently converted to accommodate the height of the present owner, with a lowered floor and carbon seat (original seat included), this example also adds a touch of driveability. Sitting on new rear wheels with Avon CZZ's tyres fitted and upgrades include Wilwood brakes and Billet handbrake. The engine has, we are informed, just been rebuilt by the chairman of De Tomaso club with a roller top end, forged pistons, high flow water pump, Pertronix billet distributor, new crank and Quench heads, so we are assured this is a good strong engine coupled with a new clutch. Offered with a UK V5 registration document, the all important Marti Report and bills for the aforementioned maintenance, this is an example of Italian flair meeting American muscle and yields an incredible result.

2004 Mercedes-Benz 500 SL Transmission: automaticMileage:42940The Mercedes-Benz R129 models were produced from 1989 through to 2001 and were sold under the SL Class model names. The R129 replaced the R107 SL Class in 1989 and was subsequently replaced by the R230 in 2001. The R129 was based on the shortened floorpan of the Mercedes-Benz W124 saloon and featured many innovative details for the time. The R129 came to public attention in 1991 when Diana, Princess of Wales, sold her Jaguar XJS to lease a J-registration, metallic-red 500 SL, becoming the first member of the royal family to use a foreign car. This controversy sparked a media storm as it was questioned whether a member of British royalty should drive foreign cars. The fifth generation of the legendary SL series of two-door convertible sports cars made by Mercedes-Benz was known as the R230. It featured a fully retractable hardtop that was marketed as the Vario Roof; a first for the SL Class although it had been available on the smaller SLK model since 1997.Originally registered on 12th March 2004 this Mercedes-Benz is finished in the delightful colour combination of blue metallic with contrasting beige leather interior. These very well-appointed cars come with ABS, electric seats, heated seats, air conditioning and cruise control as standard. The silky smooth V8 engine offers effortless power and reliability, this really is the ultimate touring vehicle. The roof comes down at the touch of a button allowing for open top motoring when the weather permits. A history folder accompanies this Mercedes-Benz along with a V5 registration document. We are advised she will be presented for a fresh MoT prior to auction. Whether travelling to the local golf club or to the South of France this 500 SL is a fabulous car to drive.

1950 Jaguar XK120 Roadster Ex-Duncan Hamilton Transmission: manualMileage:3675The Jaguar XK120 was manufactured between 1948 and 1954 and was their first sportscar since the SS100 which ceased production in 1940. It was launched in roadster form at the 1948 London Motor Show as a show car for the new Jaguar XK engine. It caused a sensation thus persuading Jaguar founder and design boss, William Lyons, to put the car into production. The '120' in its name referred to its top speed which made the XK120 the world's fastest standard production car at the time of its launch. It was available in two open versions; first as the roadster, then also as a drophead Coupé from 1953 and also as a closed, or 'fixedhead' Coupé, from 1951. With alloy cylinder heads and twin side-draft SU carburettors, the double overhead-cam 3.4 litre straight-six XK engine was comparatively advanced for a mass-produced unit of the time. With a standard compression ratio of 8:1, it developed 160bhp.This is no ordinary Jaguar XK120. Chassis number 660332 was raced in period by Duncan Hamilton.Manufactured on 22nd November 1950 and delivered via Henlys of London to its first owner, a Mr. Philip Fotheringham-Parker a little over two weeks later bearing the registration number LXF 731.Fotheringham-Parker was an amateur racing driver of the immediate pre and post-war years combining sufficient levels of wealth, talent and enthusiasm to enjoy a respectable level of success in both national and international events. His friend Duncan Hamilton, an ex-Lysander pilot was building his reputation as a very competitive racing driver. XK120's were proving to be successful after their competition debut at Silverstone in 1949. Hence the reason why Fotheringham-Parker purchased one. When he took delivery of LXF 731 in late 1950 he lent it to Hamilton who proceeded to race it at national and international events throughout 1951 and so began a very fruitful relationship between the Jaguar marque and Duncan Hamilton, gaining victories with the Works team at Le Mans in 1953 and Rheims in 1956. The first recorded event for LXF 731 was the one-hour production car race at the Daily Express Silverstone Trophy Meeting held on 5th May 1951. With Hamilton at the wheel, LXF 731 came home in third place behind Stirling Moss and Charles Dodson. The next outing at the Portuguese Grand Prix on 17th June was less successful with Hamilton retiring, he soon made amends by securing two victories in the XK120 at Boreham in the Williams Lyons Trophy race and the Unlimited Race on 11th August 1951.In later years the car found its way to Northern Ireland where it was purchased by David Bazire. The car was fully restored in 2011 to its early race specification and has since been maintained regardless of cost as is evident from its current immaculate presentation. The car was sold by JD Classics in 2014 for £1,250,000 and we understand that during the last few years, LXF 731 has successfully completed the Mille Miglia on two occasions and the Le Mans Legends Support Race. A comprehensive history file accompanies the Jaguar, including correspondence between Bazire and Hamilton. This is a hugely important historical car, both from Jaguar Cars point of view and from the immensely charismatic and successful works driver Duncan Hamilton.Period Race History19515th MayTrack: Silverstone, Daily Express Trophy MeetingRace: 1 hour Production Car raceDriver: Duncan Hamilton. 1913 Renault DQ (four-cylinder 8500cc 45hp) Transmission: manualMileage:In the early years of the twentieth century the development of Renault as a make of motorcars was significantly enhanced by its successful participation in motor racing that culminated in a Renault winning the first ever Grand Prix race. From then on until the Great War, whilst the public most frequently encountered the make in the form of the ubiquitous twin cylinder models that were available as both private cars and taxicabs, there were always cars of substantial engine capacity and horsepower in the Renault range, even after the largest, the 9½ litre six-cylinder 50-60hp was discontinued in 1910. Its place as the largest model was first taken by the 8½ litre four cylinder 35hp Type CI and by 1913 this had evolved into the Type DQ with identical engine dimensions but with an increased output of 40-45hp. Because of its horsepower rating the DQ has sometimes been compared with the better-known Vintage period 'Renault 45' (40CV in France), but this was a six-cylinder car developed from the pre-Great War Type ES. The lineage of the DG is traceable back to the 1906 Type AI four-cylinder 7½ litre 'Vanderbilt Cup' model, a number of which survive.Having spent many years in the United States, this rare large capacity DQ was brought back to Europe in the early 1990's at which time a restoration was carried out. Sherwood Restorations of Nottingham rebuilt the car along with a raceabout coachwork body built by E.J. Wakefield and Son of Byfleet. The accompanying history file shows many receipts for work done on the car by Sherwood's at the time. The car was then sold in 1992, by auction, to a new owner who owned it up until 2006 following a lengthy period of storage. The car had been sent to Keith Bowley's Ashton Keynes restoration shop for an engine rebuild shortly before the sale. The current vendor purchased the car himself in 2012 and committed to a thorough mechanical restoration including another full engine rebuild with vintage car specialist Jim Stokes. An avid collector, with an eclectic collection, the vendor insists all of his vehicles are ready to drive at any time. No expense was spared and the cars history file shows over £30,000 was spent with Jim Stokes between 2012 and 2016 to get the car in to the good mechanical order we find it today. During this period a new body was also built for the car with a beautifully crafted, distinctive €˜boattail' rear. The car is able to cruise happily at 60mph and reported to both run and drive very well by the vendor. Whilst the lack of any front brakes makes for an exciting drive, the early open seater experience is something to behold. Believed to be one of only two chassis imported to the UK and believed to be the only one remaining in the UK, this incredible automobile is a rare sight to behold.

2005 Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR Coupé Transmission: automaticMileage:3357The SLR McLaren, introduced in November 2003, was Mercedes-Benz's foray into the world of the supercar, alongside such cars as the Porsche Carrera GT and the Ferrari Enzo. It was developed in collaboration with the McLaren Technology Centre which, at the time, was partially owned by Mercedes-Benz. While Ferrari and Porsche pursued creating the best all-out supercars that the world had ever seen, Mercedes-Benz and McLaren attempted to create a car that coupled the best aspects of supercars with that of grand tourers. Engineers at Mercedes-Benz and McLaren took care to place the V8 as far back as possible in the chassis in order to improve the car's handling, giving the SLR near-perfect weight distribution. The SLR's engine produces 617bhp at 6,500rpm, thanks to a Lysholm-type twin-screw supercharger. A dash from 0-60mph took 3.8 seconds and the car leads to a quarter mile in just over 11 seconds with a top speed of 206mph. Its AMG Speedshift R transmission provides three manual modes to suit the owner's style of driving. Other remarkable technical features include the Sensotronic 'brake by wire' system, carbon-ceramic disc brakes and an automatic airbrake which can bring the SLR to a screeching halt from 120mph to a dead stop in less than 240 feet. This Mercedes-Benz SLR was manufactured in 2005 and presented in silver, typically synonymous with the Silver Arrows. This low mileage McLaren is in a condition commensurate with such few miles on the clock. The cockpit area of a SLR is a thing of beauty and to drive such a car is a memorable experience. The ultra-comfortable sports seats and luxurious interior are finished in black leather complementing the striking silver exterior. The SLR Coupé is a very versatile vehicle, comfortable to drive at 30mph, yet simply stunning to drive at high speed. The fabulous engine fires up at the press of a button on the gear lever which is reminiscent of a €˜jet fighter' and drives with no known faults. Built in the UK and then shipped to the U.A.E, this SLR was then imported back to the UK in 2012 to our private owner. With a recent MoT test certificate and a UK V5C registration document, this is truly a collectable example with circa 2,085 miles from new. Whether you are driving to your local restaurant or to the South of France, there can be few more exciting ways to travel than a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.Successfully sold at our Bicester sale this lot is being offered again at Mercedes Benz World due to difficulties completing the purchase. No change of ownership has taken place and the lot is offered in identical terms to September when it sold for £277,340. 1968 Lancia Flaminia 3B (2.8 Litre) Transmission: manualMileage:92446The Flaminia Coupé was introduced at the Turin Motor show in 1958, nearly two years after the saloon. The styling was based on the Aurelia Florida designed by Battista Pininfarina and considered by many to be his most influential design, it was also his personal favourite and he drove one for the rest of his life. Flaminia initially had a single 'carburetted' much modified version of the Aurelia all alloy V6, with drum brakes but disc brakes replaced the drums early on. Triple carburettors replaced the single in 1962 and the Flaminia became the Flaminia 3B, the power went from 119 to 130bhp, in 1963 the engine was enlarged to 2.8 and the power was raised to 136bhp. The suspension consists of unequal length double wishbones with coil springs at the front and a De Dion axle at the rear, based on the all-conquering D50, this combined with 50/50 weight distribution due to having the engine at the front, gearbox and differential (transaxle) at the rear, made for excellent handling with light and direct steering. This very good, left hand drive, Lancia Flaminia 3B with the V6, 2.8 Litre engine is believed to have been delivered to the Dominican Republic in 1968, then being registered in Belgium in the early 1970's. Purchased and imported to the UK in 2005 as an incomplete restoration project it had all the bodywork properly repaired and repainted. It was given to a Rolls-Royce marque specialist to complete. The owner of the specialists purchased the car in 2012 and while in his ownership he has had it fully maintained; including overhauling the Dunlop brakes, strip-down and restored the carburettors and getting a new complete exhaust system sent over from Italy. Also supplied with the car is a new windscreen. Finished in silver with original maroon leather interior this Flaminia 3B is supplied with a V5 registration document, the original French handbook and a file containing invoices, old MoT test certificates and the import documents since 2005. This very good and reliable example certainly represents good value for money against the Touring and Zagato bodied cars which these are sure to follow.

2014 Harley-Davidson FXSB 103 Breakout Transmission: paddleMileage:10870There is little doubt that the Harley Davidson brand is one of the most recognisable in the world. Little did William Harley and Arthur Davidson know that they were to provide the backbone for motorcycle production in the US from the early days in at the beginning of the last century, through two world wars and right up to the present day. One of only two American cycle manufacturers to survive the Great Depression, Harley Davidson again produced large numbers of motorcycles for the US Army in World War II and resumed civilian production afterwards, producing a range of large V-twin motorcycles that were successful both on racetracks and for private buyers.Originally registered on 17th May 2014, this magnificent Harley Davidson presents in beautiful unmarked condition. The metallic orange paintwork is unmarked as are the wheels and chrome of which there is plenty. This FXSB has a Stage 2 engine, custom engine covers, custom indicators and mirrors together with a custom digital speedometer. The wheels are turbo style and the rear tyre is a 260, drive to the rear wheel is via an open belt drive. Turn the key and fire up this Harley and suddenly you realise what a remarkable machine this is, the 1,690cc twin cylinder engine runs well and the noise from the exhaust pipes is exhilarating. Costing £32,000 when new, this bike awaits a new owner who wants the classic look but the reliability of an everyday bike to transport you in comfort and style.

1998 Honda Integra Type R Transmission: manualMileage:65000In 1993 the Integra was launched as a €˜fairly vanilla' Coupé and in 1995 Honda introduced the world to the B18C Vtec engine and the Integra Type R (R for racing) was born. Not only did the car feature a red line just shy of 9000rpm and over 100bhp per litre, but every element of the cars performance was looked at. Anything unnecessary was removed, so out went air conditioning, sound deadening and even thinner glass and carpets were added to save weight, while elements to improve the performance were added. With a seam welded chassis, strengthened suspension mounting points, bespoke suspension and Recaro SR seats. The car received a modest front spoiler, rear wing and light weight alloy wheels and a titanium gear knob. It was three years later that the Type R made its way to UK shores with only 500 cars allocated and a slightly different frontend with round rather than square head lights. The driving experience of a Honda Integra Type R is ranked as one of the best of any vehicle.  When the car ventures beyond 6000rpm the Vtec opens up and the modest four-cylinder engine changes with a soundtrack ranking along with cars with much higher cylinder counts. The gear change is positive, rifle bolt fast and with a 50/50 balanced chassis the feedback and grip are astonishing especially when you consider the car runs on 15€ 195 width tyres. The below quote from Richard Meaden from Evo issue 95 sums it up €˜It's a car as sweet and all-consuming as any I've experienced at any price, and as pure and focused in its own way as any Porsche RS. Forget the accolade of greatest front-wheel drive car. The Integra Type R ranks as one of the truly great drivers' cars of any kind'. This particular example was sourced by the vendor who wanted the best available, he purchased the car from the leading specialist Torque GT who in turn declared it was one of the best UK editions they have ever seen. It has been used sparingly and has been lavished with a no expense spared maintenance regime. Free from the rust that usually plagues the Integra, due to having no rust protection, this example has recently been cleaned and treated with a clear underbody protection by Rustbuster. Offered with extensive service records, 15 services conducted and many bills showing the works conducted, the car is largely standard with the exception of a stainless-steel exhaust system/manifolds, upgraded suspension (bushes, coil over dampers) and carbon intake (original air box supplied). Recent works include a top end rebuild, new brake calipers and a fresh set of Yokohama tyres. The car has received a stage three detail and full ceramic coat along with new badges. Parts are now becoming hard to source and finding a rust-free, low mileage, Integra is almost impossible and so this car represents somewhat a unicorn. Ready to drive with no known issues and having £1000's recently spent, this must rank as the best available in the UK.

1985 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Restoration Transmission: automaticMileage:The Mercedes-Benz SL (Sport Leicht) has been in production since 1954 with perhaps the most influential model being the W113 Pagoda of 1963. This second generation evolved from the 230SL to 250SL, finally becoming the 280SL. The W113 was replaced by the W107 in 1971 and as the engines became larger, the bodywork and weight of the cars also increased, as so often happens in mid-life! The SL improved through the years with technical innovation but still managed to keep its fundamental character and identity of an up-market, high quality sports car. Its reputation went from strength to strength, and it was rare to see an episode of Dallas or Dynasty in the 1980's without an SL making a star appearance. The genius soft-top mechanism which folds down out of sight under a panel ahead of the boot lid gave the car a beautifully sleek, uncluttered appearance. Of all the engine offerings the 280 remains the most sought after with the smaller 2.8 litre engine offering plenty of power but with the advantage of less weight and this improved handling. This original right hand drive automatic 280 R107 SL was registered 24th May 1985, with just three owners from new and the previous owner having owned it for 17 years in total. In March this year the car was completely stripped to bare metal and the vendor begun what was intended to be a full body restoration. The shell which is in €˜as new' order, is finished in a metallic blue with a dark blue soft top and sits on Mexican Hat alloy wheels and comes with the original smoky grey interior. The engine running gear is still in the vehicle and fully running. There are receipts from the SL Shop for new ignition leads and plugs, injectors and associated parts, fuel pump relay. We are informed all parts are available as per the photos and is believed that every part removed is supplied with the car and can be collected locally post auction. Being offered to the market due to a change in the vendor's circumstances, part finished to a very good standard, this example would represent an ideal winter project to complete what has become a very popular classic roadster with prices having risen significantly for the R107 over the past 18 months.

1971 Datsun 240Z Transmission: manualMileage:3401It soon became apparent during its creation, that the Datsun 240Z represented all the requirements of sports-minded drivers by fulfilling their desires for superb styling, power and safety whilst providing them with the most thrilling and enjoyable ride available in any car at that time. Reporting 151bhp and 146lb/ft of torque at just 4,400rpm, Car & Driver said; €˜A brilliantly conceived car with twice as much thought having gone into it when compared to the big Healey, MGC, Lotus Elan, Porsches and Corvettes'. Offering a 125mph top-speed and the 0-60mph dash in a shade under eight seconds, the well-spaced five-speed gear ratios made the most of the engine's torque whilst retaining the ability to achieve in excess of 30mpg, this was to put the €˜Z' ahead of many of its contemporaries and on a par with Porsche 911's of the time. Very impressive, by anyone's standards. Although Datsun didn't invent the overhead-cam engine, disc brakes or all-round independent suspension, the 240Z incorporated all of these systems into a brilliantly conceived car. It was no surprise therefore, that for many years the Datsun 240Z was heralded as the most successful sportscar of all time and was very successful in rallying also. This Datsun was imported into the UK and presents in very good condition. The striking yellow coachwork is in good order as is the black interior. On 25th March 1994 the engine was upgraded to a 280Z engine which is mated to a five-speed gearbox, this was carried out in Idaho in the U.S. at a cost of $1,300. These uncomplicated cars of the period are exceptionally reliable yet offer brisk performance. Supplied with a V5 registration document, this MoT exempt vehicle comes with a host of invoices going back to the 1970's. Japanese sports cars from this era are becoming highly sought after and this Datsun 240Z would grace any collection.

1984 Ford Capri 2.8i Transmission: automaticMileage:123412The Ford Capri was the Ford Mustang of Europe. A mind-boggling array of options meant that the Capri could be whatever you wanted it to be; just like the Mustang. The Capri was, in fact, a far more varied animal than the Mustang with engines ranging from 1300cc to 3100cc as well as a myriad of trim specifications. The most popular engine was the 1600cc unit. The Capri was released to the press on 24th January 1969 at the Brussels Motor Show. There had previously been a press preview in Cyprus, but Ford had requested that nothing about the new car be published until 24th January to coincide with the motor show. Surprisingly, this request was honoured, and the Capri caused a sensation. For the 1982 model year, a new sporty version debuted at the Geneva Motor Show called the 2.8 Injection. Power rose to a claimed 160bhp giving a top speed of 130mph.This very nice example is presented in red with grey cloth interior and comes with the rare option of a three-speed automatic gearbox. It also comes with a sunroof, its original pepper pot wheels, original brochure, handbook, service book and it still has its original radio cassette player. The car sits on a set of new Vredestein Sprint tyres and is fitted with a Sigma alarm and immobiliser. There is a photograph album showing the restoration in 2006 by Ford Allen and it comes with two alarm fobs and three sets of keys. An iconic Ford with performance to match!

1959 AC Aceca Transmission: manualMileage:12139Based on the open two-seat AC Ace, the Aceca was a hand-built grand tourer in the British tradition with ash wood and steel tubing used in the construction. One notable feature was the hatchback door at the rear making the Aceca only the second car, after the Aston Martin DB2/4, to incorporate this element. The hardtop Coupé made its debut in 1954, sharing the same 1991cc, two-litre engine with the Ace and offering similar levels of performance. The main difference between the Aceca and Aceca-Bristol was the engine; both used a straight-six unit but the Aceca shared its 90hp, 1,991cc overhead camshaft AC engine with the lighter AC Ace, while the Aceca-Bristol used a 125hp 'D-Type', 2,000cc unit sourced from Bristol Cars. This motorcar 'BEX763' was delivered new to Royal Victoria docks on 25th November 1959 in black paintwork, red trim and Connolly leather. After its voyage over the Atlantic it arrived to the US distributor €˜AC Imports' and was delivered into New York to the first owner, A.J Bradley M.D, an eye surgeon of Setauket, NY. Bradley was a fanatical owner and had significant correspondence with AC Cars, Arnolt, Bristol and overdrive manufacturers, which was subsequently fitted during his ownership. The original engine 100D2 1020 was also replaced by Arnolt in Chicago early in its life, now sits the BS1 Mk. II No. 345 which shows good oil pressure and more than adequate power. The second owner, J. Fratello was an accomplished furniture maker of Long Island and classic car collector, creating bespoke designs in his studio, a befitting home for the aluminium bodied Aceca to draw inspiration from. The most recent custodian acquired BEX763 in 2013 and was also a resident of New York State. His objective was to achieve a reliable turn key car, whilst retaining the originality that had been kept by the previous owners. The car was then subject to a comprehensive mechanical overhaul resulting in a highly original, well-kept example of the Aceca-Bristol. The exterior bodywork was subject to a colour change early on in its life and still presents very well. The cabin exudes luxury; the original seats are the initial draw, alongside the patinated gauge cluster. Mechanically, we are informed, the car drives exceedingly well, with pinpoint steering and feeling tight throughout cornering. Offered with a comprehensive history file and offered with a NOVA number signifying all taxes are paid, this example is ready to be registered in the UK or indeed anywhere in mainland Europe.Interested parties should note that contrary to the catalogue description the chassis number for this vehicle is BEX 763

1981 Citroën Méhari Transmission: manualMileage:Almost certainly inspired by BMC's Mini Moke, the Citroën Méhari first appeared in prototype form in 1967 and like its British counterpart was based on a standard production car. In the Citroën's case it was the Dyane 6 version of the inimitable 2CV, so the Méhari featured the latter's torsion-bar, suspension and air-cooled 602cc twin-cylinder engine driving the front wheels. The open body was made of ABS plastic and, like the Moke, a detachable soft top and side screens served as weather protection. Taking its name from a type of camel known for its speed, the Méhari was launched at the Paris Auto Show in October 1968 and would remain in the range for the next 20 years, only disappearing when 2CV production ceased in France in 1988, by which time a total of 144,953 had been made. This wonderful and fun example was originally built in France and was first registered in the UK in 2022. Purchased by the current vendor's family for high days and holidays, this Méhari has resided at their Cornwall home in recent years. Offered in striking white paintwork over a matching white interior, this Citroën generally presents very well. In good working order this Méhari is a fun, practical and an economic little car which comes complete with a V5C registration document and many invoices detailing previous maintenance work. We are sure this will be huge amounts of fun for the new owner, as it has been for the vendor and his family!

1976 Maserati Bora (4.7 litre) Transmission: manualMileage:23441A rare car, only 42 right hand drive Maserati Boras were built, and just 289 fitted with the larger 4.7 litre engine, from a total production run of 571, and it was largely regarded as Maserati's first supercar. Unveiled in 1971, the Maserati Bora, named after the Adriatic wind, was undoubtedly one of the stars of the Geneva Motor Show. It was also Maserati's first mid-engined car with the glorious 90-degree 4.7-litre development of the Ghibli's V8 engine mounted behind the front seats, producing a healthy 310bhp at 6000rpm. The Bora transmitted its power to the road through a five-speed ZF transaxle gearbox, pushing this stunning Coupé to a top speed of 170mph.Equal to its impressive specification was its design, penned by the great Giorgetto Giugiaro, a man at the top of his game in 1971 and later named €˜Designer of the Century' in 1999, the Bora sought to bring sophistication to the mid-engined platform. Standing just 1138mm high, the Bora stole the show with its stylish, brushed stainless-steel roof and windscreen pillars, and a huge rear window, enveloping a stunning interior with sinuous bucket seats, and sumptuously leather clad dash, door trim, centre console and rear bulkhead. But it was also conceived as a grand tourer, with a decent-sized luggage compartment in the front and a carpeted engine cover in the rear. Maserati also fitted an adjustable pedal box, hydraulically operated brakes and pop-up headlamps, which were just some of the myriad innovations that showed the influence that new owner Citroen was to bring to bear.Customers included Karim Aga Khan and Italian movie producer Carlo Ponti, husband of Sophia Loren, and the Bora quickly proved itself to be a compelling alternative to a Ferrari, Porsche, or Lamborghini, and there is not a finer example on the market today.A €˜no expense spared restoration' and owned by the same family for 50 years, this exceptional Maserati Bora 4.7 litre was clearly a very treasured member of the family, for it has had over £150,000 lavished on it as part of a three-year restoration programme. The history file is remarkable by the sheer volume of invoices for work done between 2015-2018 by the respected restorers Kent High Performance Cars, formerly known as The Ferrari Centre of Maidstone. What started as a restoration estimated at nearly £50,000 tripled to a final cost of £150,000 to ensure that every tiny detail was addressed. It would take pages to itemise the work and be easier to say what has not been done to this car, but it would be difficult to find an example in such superb condition had you walked into the Maserati showroom in Slough back in November 1975 when the car was brand new. With a full engine and mechanical rebuild; complete body restoration and repaint to its original colour (silver); complete trim in Connolly hides to Maserati Vaumol specification and fully detailed, the list goes on. This is surely one of the finest examples available in todays market and is gushingly attractive and has the performance to match. However, it is important to note that the engine, since its rebuild, has developed a misfire, causing it to backfire when running, which has not been properly investigated. Offered without reserve, this presents itself as a very attractive investment. We recommend interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the condition of the lot prior to sale.

1970 Triumph TR6 Transmission: manualMileage:76370The Triumph TR6 was manufactured for seven years from 1969 and by the time production came to an end in July 1976, it was the best-seller of the TR range. The bodywork closely resembled that of the previous model, the Triumph TR5, however the front and rear were squared off and all TR6s featured inline six-cylinder engines. For the US market, the engine was fitted with carburettors whilst, for other world markets including the UK, the TR6 was fitted with fuel-injection. It featured a four-speed manual gearbox, independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, 15 wheels and tyres, pile carpet on the floors and boot, bucket seats and a full complement of instruments. In total 94,619 TR6s were built of which 86,249 were sold overseas and only 8,370 were sold in the UK.Originally registered on 4th September 1970, this TR6 presents in delightful condition throughout. With four former keepers and relatively low mileage, it is clear this Triumph has been well cared for throughout its 52 years on British roads. A genuine UK example and still bearing the original fuel injection system which has been overhauled recently, other mechanical work carried out recently includes rebuilding the engine and overhauling the braking system. A new fuel tank and petrol pump have recently been fitted, as have two new driveshafts and universal joints. The fastidious vendor has also had a new soft-top fitted, together with new tyres and carpets. The underside of the car and chassis has also had restoration work carried out recently. Bills for the work carried out are in the history folder, which includes a V5C registration document and a Heritage Certificate. This 150bhp, MoT test exempt Triumph is finished in green with black interior and is a very well sorted example, ready to use and enjoy immediately.

1998 Mercedes-Benz 500E Transmission: automaticMileage:80000From 1990 to 1995, Mercedes-Benz sold a high-performance version of the W124, the Mercedes-Benz 500E. It was created in close co-operation with Porsche; each one being hand-built by Porsche and transported back and forth between the Mercedes-Benz plant and Porsche's Rössle-Bau plant in Zuffenhausen, Germany during assembly, with a full 18 days being taken to complete each car. The 500E had a naturally aspirated 5.0 litre, V8 engine derived from the 500SL (R129) and braking performance also came from SL components. The 500E was manufactured as a four-seat saloon and in left-hand drive only. The leather seats were supplied by Recaro with the fronts being electrically operated and heated. Called the 'Wolf in Sheep's Clothing' by the press, performance tests of the day yielded impressive results with 0-62 mph times of 5.5 to 6.0 seconds. The top speed was 161.5mph with the engine speed limited to 6000rpm. With its aggressive stance, wider track, lower profile, flared wheel arches, side skirts, front air-dam and wider tyres, the 500E is easily distinguished from its lesser brethren. This Mercedes-Benz 500E W124 saloon was manufactured in 1991 and first registered in the UK in January 1998. Presenting well in Blue Black which is complemented by a chequered interior trim with leather bolsters, these understated power houses are becoming more popular and we believe rightly so. This desirable pre facelift Mk. I model has benefitted from a £2,000 service with Mercedes specialists SS Motors which included a change to both coolant and brake fluid. Previous owners of the 500E model have included the actor and historic race enthusiast, Rowan Atkinson. This example is offered to auction with a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until May 2023 and a file containing various receipts for maintenance work carried out since 2018, including a complete new exhaust system. Because of its look, limited numbers, handbuilt construction at Porsche and its unique pedigree, the 500E is already considered a classic, even within Mercedes-Benz and this therefore represents an ideal opportunity to acquire a very special car.

1954 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith Six Light Saloon by Park Ward Transmission: manualMileage:1475This very good Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith Six Light Saloon by Park Ward, design number 144, body number N. 186 was built for Major Horace E. Dodge Jr., the party-loving playboy heir to the Dodge Motor Company in Detroit. At that time, he was living at St. Leonard's, Windsor, Berkshire the 18th century house which was purchased by his mother and remodelled into a 103-room villa. After he died the house was sold to Billy Smart, of circus fame. When he died it became part of Windsor Safari Park which is now Legoland Windsor with the mansion as its headquarters. The next owner was Frances Day, an American actress who was the €˜Toast of London' in the 1930's. George Bernard Shaw wrote €˜Boyant Billions' for her in 1949. The next owner was Roger David Marquis, the 2nd Earl of Woolton. In 1965 it was sold to Grooms Garages Ltd. After this the Silver Wraith was exported to the US, in 1989 it returned to the UK being imported and registered by William Faragher. Purchased by Ernest Boyce in 1990 to add to his fleet of wedding cars and in 1998 he had the car sent to marque specialists Eric Healey, who completely stripped back to bare metal and repainted it changing the original colour of grey to white over cream.Purchased by the vendor in 2004 having covered 73,716 miles, before his ownership the seats had been retrimmed getting a close match to the original maroon colour. In his ownership he has fully maintained and serviced the car including overhauling the engine, replacing the pistons and rings in 2015, stripped down, rebuilt the rear differential in 2018 and recently fitted four new tyres. This owner driver Silver Wraith Six Light Saloon is supplied with a V5 registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in October 2023 and a file containing copies of the original chassis cards, old registration documents and a note book detailing repairs carried out to the car since 2004. This is one of the most elegant post-war Rolls-Royce coachbuilt cars built for the owner driver or to be driven by a chauffeur.

1974 Jensen Interceptor Mk. III Transmission: automaticMileage:116000It's not often a car company is started with the help of a movie star but when in 1935 Clark Gable sent the Jensen brothers a new Ford chassis to fit one of their sleek four-seat bodies to, as they say the rest was history. After the war Jensen resumed low volume car production but prospered as the coachbuilder for Austin Healey and others until in 1963, they introduced the C-V8 with a Chrysler V8 engine, succeeding it with the Interceptor in 1967 with a Touring-designed body and power from a 383 Chrysler V8 unit. A modified and updated Interceptor II followed in late 1969 and was succeeded in 1971 by the Interceptor III which was joined in 1974 by a convertible version both powered by Chrysler's 440 cubic inch engine. The Jensen Interceptor combined powerful, reliable American V8 power and smooth-shifting automatic gearboxes with British coachbuilt quality and luxury. They were built for a discerning clientele willing to pay a premium for their performance and exclusivity. In 1974 and Interceptor III cost 60% more than a Jaguar Series III E-Type Roadster.Registered on 1st August 1974, this Jensen Interceptor comes from over two decades of single family ownership. Throughout its 48 years on British roads and having been restored multiple times, it presents in very good condition and has been dry stored ever since the vendor acquired the vehicle. In 2002 this Jensen was treated to a comprehensive restoration, including stripping the bodywork to bare metal along with an extensive respray. The engine was also completely overhauled at this time and as such it runs very well. In 2018, the car was once again treated to a comprehensive respray at huge cost, which complements the superb cream leather interior. Notable upgrades included the fitment of a Holley Fuel injection system fitted in 2002. Other additions include a recently fitted oil cooler, uprated fans, new radiator, uprated alternator and water pump, new HT leads, new lamda sensor, and a new master blaster coil. As a result, the car is highly reliable and most importantly doesn't overheat even in extremely hot ambient temperatures. In recent years the suspension has also been improved with new front springs and coil over shock absorbers at the front and back. The Jensen is currently showing 49,165 miles on the odometer, however the odometer unit has previously been changed and the true mileage is circa 116,000. Supplied with a substantial history file detailing its multiple restorations, every invoice from the past 42 years amounting to well over £100,000, many old MoT test certificates and its current UK registration document. These iconic cars of the seventies are aesthetically superb and this lovely example is no exception.

1935 Rolls-Royce 20/25 Landaulette by Thrupp & Maberley Transmission: manualMileage:27426This lovely 1935 Rolls-Royce 20/25 Landaulette by Thrupp & Maberley, body number 6185, was one of only three built to design number TC1015/F. This Landaulette was built for and delivered to the Maharaja of Baroda Sayajirao Gaekwad III, the second richest man in the World at that time. It returned a year later and sold to Mr James Deucher who rented Dissington Hall, a country mansion situated on the banks of the River Pont at North Dissington, Northumberland. In 1939 it was purchased by Mrs. M. B. Wells-Cole who kept the car until she passed away at the age of 100 years old in 1966. It was then acquired by Mr. C. D. Sykes who exported this 20/25 to South Africa in 1968. The next record of the car is in 1978 when George Hassen of London then took the car to the US. Repatriated to the UK in 1991, it was purchased at a Brooks auction in 1995 by Ernie Boyce and added to his fleet of wedding cars. In his ownership, in 1997 he had the engine rebuilt by marque specialists Ristes Motor Company and then had the car repainted in black with cream insert.Purchased by the present vendor in 2004, he has kept it fully maintained including finding a small crack in the cylinder head, which he then had removed and had it professionally repaired, overhauled, and then replaced it using a new cylinder head gasket. The interior is very original with the exception of the rear seat, the rear door cards and side arm rests where the West of England cloth has been replaced with beige leather. The two occasional fold out seats are still in the original West of England cloth. The owner has the original rear blinds, footrest, and engine undertrays which will be supplied with the car. The front compartment has its original black leather seats with the locking tool trays with some original Rolls-Royce tools underneath. This 20/25 Landaulette is supplied with a V5 registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in October 2023, a good history file, four new tyres and a note book containing maintenance information of work carried out since 2004. This is a lovely, reliable, useable pre-war Rolls-Royce.

1952 Meteor 27-Litre V12 Special Transmission: manualMileage:Having visited Robin Beech in Sussex and seen his Handlye Special (an enormous 27-litre, un-supercharged Merlin V12 one-off car that sounds just like a Spitfire), the vendor decided he €˜had' to have one. Construction of this unique car commenced in Cape Town, South Africa around 2001 and after a year's search, a Meteor engine was found in Johannesburg that had been taken from a Centurion tank sent to South Africa in 1952, (the Meteor's engine is the un-supercharged version of the Merlin).Unable to find a suitable Rolls-Royce or Bentley chassis, the vendor settled for a double ladder, cross-braced chassis of his own tried-and-tested design. Jaguar XJ12 suspension units were chosen to be used, which endowed the Meteor with power assisted ventilated disc brakes and power steering, essential given the car weighs around 2,200kg. On completion, the weight distribution was found to be almost 50/50 front/rear, a figure most sportscar manufacturers strive for.Having moved to England in 2016, the vendor had the engine rebuilt by Flight Engineers in Leeds, a company specialising in aero engines. The Meteor was tested on their dynamometer and found to develop 631bhp and 1,449lb/ft of torque, with fuel consumption expected to be around 5-10mpg. The rebuilt gearbox is a GM TH400 automatic from a Jaguar XJ12 (now incorporating drag racing internals), while the step-up gearbox was designed and built in Cape Town using helical gears (although more expensive, they are quieter than the straight-cut type). The car runs on 21 custom made wheels and Blockley tyres and is geared for a top speed of 204mph. The aluminium body panels are supported by a tubular €˜Superleggera' style steel framework and a central driving position astride the gearboxes giving ample space for the driver, while two passengers can be accommodated behind, McLaren F1 fashion. The vendor reports that the Meteor handles as easily as a Jaguar XJ12 and in February 2018 he was invited to participate in the making of a promotional video for the Saunton Sands Golden Mile event for pre-1955 cars and motorcycles, to be held later that year. This seven-mile run up and down the beach was the first real test of the car, which reached 80mph in first gear (the beach limit is 60mph). Subsequently the Discovery Channel of Canada made a short documentary showing the Meteor climbing the steep lane at its home in Devon, which has been shown worldwide. The Meteor has also run successfully at the Bristol & Bath Show where the crowd loved it. Having reached the stage where it can be driven, the Meteor needs only some further development and improvement, plus a final coat of silver paint. The car comes with a photographic record of the build and the vendor's own lengthier and more detailed account of its construction as well as various spare parts and rather importantly, a trailer that can accommodate it.Interested parties should note that this vehicle is now offered without reserve.Interested parties should note that the correct engine number for this car is R48696

2013 Aston Martin Rapide S Transmission: automaticMileage:13000The Rapide is a four-door, four-seater, high-performance sports saloon, which Aston Martin introduced in early 2010. It was first presented as a concept car at the North American International Auto Show in 2006 and the production version was shown at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Rapide name is a reference to the Lagonda Rapide, a four-door, four-seater saloon produced by Lagonda, now a part of Aston Martin. The new Rapide is the company's first four-door fastback saloon since the Lagonda which was discontinued in 1990. It is based on the DB9 and underpinned by the Aston Martin VH platform. The first cars rolled off the production line in May 2010, initially built at a dedicated plant at the Magna Steyr facility in Graz, Austria. The Rapide S succeeded the standard Rapide in 2013; the AM11 V12 engine was upgraded and had a power output of 550bhp with 457 lb/ft torque. Performance improvements include a top speed of 190mph and acceleration from 0-62mph reduced to 4.9 seconds. This stunning Rapide S was originally delivered new to Australia in 2013 only to be repatriated into the UK in 2016. It is presented in diamond black paintwork with the four-seat interior layout wrapped in sumptuous black leather with contrasting red stitching. Bi-xenon headlamps, LED taillamps, power front seats with memory, sat nav, cooling and heating systems, Bluetooth and an amazing top of the range Bang & Olufsen 16-speaker sound system with two tweeters that rise from the dashboard on activation of the system, all complement these luxurious yet sporty saloons. In 2017 this example was subject to a category N Insurance Loss - due to water entering the very low engine air intakes, causing an engine fail (very common, so avoid deep puddles!).  The engine was replaced with a lower mileage unit with just 8,000 miles lower than the already low odometer reading. Since he purchased the car, our vendor has used this example throughout the year and enjoyed it immensely but kept the mileage at a collectable low 13,000 from new. Offered with an MoT test certificate valid until July 2023 and serviced less than 500 miles ago. Ready to go and enrol in the V12, four-seater gentleman's club! The Rapide is one of the most responsive and aesthetically pleasing saloons of the 21st Century and it's coupled with one of the best-sounding 6.0 litre V12 engines money can buy.

The 1998 XKR was introduced with a supercharged version of the engine. Both the XK8 and XKR are electronically limited to a maximum of 155mph; the top speed of its predecessor, the XJS V12, being 158mph. Self-levelling Xenon headlamps came as standard with the XKR with Jaguar's adaptive cruise control as an optional feature available on both models. Both come with all leather interior, burr walnut trim and side airbags. Jeremy Clarkson, during a Top Gear test drive, likened the interior of the original XK8 to sitting inside Blenheim Palace. This nice convertible example of this popular British classic is presented in Topaz metallic with beige leather interior and has a light brown electric hood. The car comes with air conditioning, electric/heated front seats and CD player. The car will come with a new MoT test certificate and with its Supercharged engine, this model provides great performance to match its elegant looks.

1972 Mercedes-Benz 250 S (2.8 Litre) Transmission: automaticMileage:20000The Mercedes-Benz W114/W115 was the mid-sized saloon model, positioned below the S-Class between 1968 and 1976. Mercedes also launched its first five-cylinder diesel engine in this chassis for the American market. It followed heavily in the direction set by the W108/109 S-Class, which was launched in 1965 and heralded the new design idiom. The car was designed by French auto designer Paul Bracq who was chief designer at Mercedes-Benz for models from 1957 to 1967, a period that included models such as the Grosser Mercedes-Benz 600. Bracq was also responsible for BMW designs (1970 to 1974) and Peugeot designs (1974 to 1996). The 250 model was introduced in 1968 fitted with M114, 2.5 litre, six-cylinder engine. In 1970 this was replaced with the M130, 2.8 litre six-cylinder engine which continued until the model was replaced by the W123 model in 1976.This good left hand drive, 1972 Mercedes-Benz 250 S was imported to the UK by the current owner in 2010 after he purchased the car in New York, USA. During his ownership the vendor has completed just over 5,000 miles but has had the car fully maintained, it had a major service carried out in 2020, less than 1,000 miles ago and had the rear brakes overhauled in 2015. The car is presented with a high specification including an automatic gearbox, power steering, power brakes and air conditioning which is currently not working. It was also supplied with alloy wheels which have been replaced with steel wheels but are being supplied with the car. Finished in cream with dark brown interior, this 250 S is supplied with a V5 registration document, copies of the US title documents and invoices for work carried out in the UK. This represents a very original example of the ever-popular early Mercedes-Benz saloon.

1971 Triumph Stag Transmission: automaticMileage:Stylish, fast and practical, the Stag began life as a Triumph 2000 based styling exercise by Italian carrossier, Giovanni Michelotti. A 2+2 convertible, Michelotti's design featured a quad-lamp grille and sculpted front and rear ends, the latter destined to appear on many future Triumphs. By the time production commenced in 1970, the 2000's six-cylinder engine had been replaced by a three litre V8. A padded, 'T' shaped roll-bar bracing the door pillars and windscreen was one of the Stag's most distinctive features and the model was available in soft top, hardtop or soft with hardtop formats. Motor Sport described the Stag's interior as, 'well appointed, having all the usual instrumentation one would expect in a high-performance car.'Originally registered on New Year's Day 1971, this early Stag has recently benefitted from some recommissioning and now presents extremely well in white with a contrasting red interior. The red carpets and black hood are also in good order. This Stag benefits from stainless-steel bumpers and manifolds. The rear brakes have been converted to discs, the differential has been upgraded and the gearbox is a four-speed Jaguar ZF example. We are informed by the enthusiast vendor that this Stag is a joy to drive and offers perfect summer fun. This is also a classic with a thriving club network. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document, this is a reasonably estimated example of the 70's icon.

1972 MG B GT Transmission: manualMileage:95500The MGB was first introduced in May 1962 as a direct replacement for the MGA. Performance was brisk with power supplied by a 1798cc four-cylinder iron block engine set within a monocoque lightweight bodyshell with crumple zones incorporated. October 1965 saw the introduction of the GT and was based on the already popular roadster. Designed by Pininfarina, the new GT sported a hatchback giving useful access to the rear luggage space and a rear bench seat that enabled the car to be called a 2+2. Although acceleration was slightly slower than the roadster, top speed was better by 5mph due to the increased aerodynamic efficiency. We are delighted to offer what can only be described as one of the finest examples of the MGB GT in the current market. Originally registered in August 1972, this GT has benefitted from a €˜no expense spared' total rebuild and now presents extremely well in gleaming white coachwork with a black interior. It is not difficult to see why this car is described by the vendor as 10/10 in every regard. The list of works undertaken is comprehensive and includes a bare metal respray, rebuilt engine and carburettors and rebuilt suspension all round. Many items were replaced including the brake master cylinder, clutch master cylinder, flexible brake hoses, copper brake pipes, water pump, alternator, starter motor, stainless exhaust system, distributor, coil and oil cooler. New front brake calipers and cross drilled discs were added with a stiffer anti-roll bar and telescopic rear shock absorbers. The fuel tank and pump were replaced and a new battery was fitted. The cars cosmetics were not overlooked during this process which includes re-chromed bumpers, new tyres, front grille, trim panels, carpets and a recommissioned dashboard. We are informed that as one would expect, there is literally nothing it needs. A great example of a fabulous British sportscar.

1978 Porsche 911 SC / RS Inspired Lightweight Transmission: manualMileage:500The Porsche 911 is the flagship car of the German manufacturer. It has a distinctive design, rear-engined, with independent rear suspension, an evolution of the swing axle on the Porsche 356. Since its introduction in 1963, the 911 has undergone continuous development although the basic concept has remained little changed. Throughout its lifetime, the 911 has been modified by private teams and by the factory itself for racing, rallying and other forms of competition and is among the most successful competition cars ever. The earliest edition of the 911 had a flat six engine in the €˜boxer' configuration, similar to the 356, air-cooled, rear-mounted and displaced 1991cc. It was mated to a four or five-speed manual €˜Type 901' gearbox. Built over a three period and only finished earlier this year, this fantastic, one of a kind 911 was built for the vendor, a well-known historic 911 racer. Based upon a 1978 911 SC, this project was overseen by renowned Porsche specialist Steve Monk of Bodywerks, Iver and Wrightune based in Oxfordshire. The plan was  to build the ultimate classic roadgoing 911, taking the experience gained by both the vendors years of racing, Steve Monk's and Wrightune's decades of experience building and racing, to build a car that is both comfortable on a tour but also with uprated and capable handling. Headline figures weren't the aim here, nor was the plan to create something with lots of trinkets adorning it. The idea was to make a lightweight, great handling car that had uprated power, but run through carburettors for both great throttle response and glorious intake sound.First registered in February 1978, this very early 911 SC was originally delivered to Glen Henderson Motors, Ayr, Scotland and must be one of the very first in the UK. Steve Monk rebuilt the car from the ground up with the shell receiving attention to the floor pan, new inner and outer sills, new wings front and rear with the rear arches re-shaped to create a more  subtle wider stance. Whilst in a bare state, he also reinforced and lightened the shell and added new SC/RS style lightweight bumpers. The original period style black and cork trim was retained and restored, including the leather seats, the only hint to the car's performance being a new Heigo bolt-in half-cage, together with four-point harnesses and a Momo Black Edition Prototipo steering wheel. All the running gear was either restored or replaced, including all suspension with new dampers, brake calipers and discs. The period Fuchs-style 15€ 7J/8J wheels are shod with Avon period-profile, historic road tyres giving the car a purposeful, period look, whilst also complementing the handling style of the car. The engine was built by Wrightune and the displacement increased to 3.2 litres, with gas flowed cylinder heads, 964 cams and Weber 40ID downdraught carburettors, plus SSI exhaust system and a fully programmable 123Tune ignition system. Meanwhile, power is transferred to the road through a lighter magnesium-cased 915 gearbox.Supplied with a UK V5 registration document, file of receipts and a MoT test certificate valid until October 2023, the vendor reports that the car runs and drives extremely well. Presenting a unique opportunity to own a true €˜jack of all trade's' performance Porsche, conceived and built by the best in the business, this is a 911 not to be missed.

1996 Nissan Skyline R33 GTS25T Type ML Transmission: manualMileage:26010The R33 incarnation of the GT-R is still a pure sports car experience, but now aided by some of the most revolutionary handling technology to influence modern performance driving. The new R33 Skyline GT-R was launched in January 1995 with a base GT-R and the V-Spec model which offered a sportier suspension set-up resulting in lower ground clearance and also featured the newer ATTESA E-TS Pro all-wheel drive system, which included an Active Limited-Slip Differential. At the heart of the V-Spec was the ATTESA-ETS Pro Electronic Torque Split System which, at the time, made it arguably the most technologically advanced production car in the world. The system was conceived in the 1990s for the JTCC to enable some 600bhp to be fed through the wheels and on to the racetrack efficiently. The V-Spec also featured an active LSD on the rear axle which further aided traction by calculating the optimum torque-split between the left and right rear wheels, variable from fully locked to totally free. Working along with ATTESA-ETS Pro, is the SUPER HICAS rear-wheel steering. This uses a series of sensors to monitor vehicle motion, rate of turn and the driver's action on the steering wheel.Complex software then compares this information to the computer predictions of the car's ideal turning characteristics, adjusting the angle of the rear wheels to reflect the driver's intentions. The engine in the R33 was nearly identical to the previous R32 using the same turbochargers and the same specification for the manual gearbox, although the synchros were made to be stronger. The increased body rigidity and improved handling potential necessitated several specially designed cross members being incorporated into the monocoque and extra torsion bars were added to the multi-link suspension to further enhance stability. Working closely with Bridgestone technicians to perfect the Potenza tyres, Nissan put the prototype R33 GT-R through its paces in all weathers at the notorious Nürburgring, earning them a daring reputation amongst other manufacturers. To equalise front/rear weight distribution, the bonnet and front wings were made of aluminium instead of steel and the battery was fitted at the base of the car's boot, lowering the centre of gravity and further improving handling. The braking system was designed by Italy's famous Brembo Spa, suppliers to many of the world's Formula 1 teams at this time. Four-piston calipers were fitted on the front with two-piston calipers on the rear to bite into the discs with a diamond shaped ventilation bores which increased the surface area to aid heat dissipation. There was a limited run of R33 GTS25TML specification, which is a Type M with, twin airbags, Active LSD and this superb example is indeed one of those which is presented in silver and was imported from Japan in 1999 and has had only one registered owner from then until today. The diff is a Skyline GTR V spec diff which is an electronically controlled LSD instead of a normal R33 diff. The car has been stored in a dry air-conditioned unit and has been extremely well looked after in this time. The car has grey cloth interior, air-conditioning, electric windows, toolkit and space saving spare wheel. This car is particularly special in that its turbo charged engine produces circa 900bhp and has only covered a mere 26,000 miles from new. The speedometer was re-calibrated to UK specification in 1998. With electrifying performance, not for the faint hearted and in such fabulous condition, this surely must be the one to have and would be interesting to test at Santa Pod or similar against more celebrated European sports cars, the result would be extremely interesting!

2006 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder Transmission: automaticMileage:22145Manufactured from 2003 to 2013 the Lamborghini Gallardo is important in the history of the Sant Agata firm as it represents the most successful model in their history. Both eminently usable and importantly, reliable, the V10 sportscar had total Audi backup which made it hugely desirable and subsequently, the most successful sportscar built from this particular Carrozzeria. Its secret lies in its light but stiff space frame chassis mounted to a five litre, V10 engine powering all four wheels on demand. Offered with two choices of transmission; a conventional six-speed manual transmission and an advanced six-speed electro-hydraulically controlled, semi-automatic which Lamborghini abbreviates to 'E-gear'. This allows the driver to make gear changes much faster than they could with a manual gearbox.Supplied originally by Lamborghini Birmingham on 1st September 2006, this Gallardo Spyder is finished in Blue Caelum Metallic with complementary blue leather trim. The original book pack is present and shows 11 stamps from Lamborghini Birmingham and marque specialists, the last service carried out was a major service on 25th March 2020 at 20,867 miles. At the same-time it was treated to new brake discs and pads all round and roof lubrication amounting to a spend of £5,900; invoices for this work can be found in the history file. Presenting in delightful, unmarked condition this is a true supercar and with a price tag of over £135,000, when new. These are superb cars to drive with a fabulous sounding engine and exhilarating performance available offered by the V10 engine.

1972 Jensen Interceptor SP Mk. III Transmission: automaticMileage:2000Alan and his brother Richard Jensen first became involved with car design and construction in 1925 when their efforts to improve on the styling and performance of an Austin Seven Chummy attracted much favourable attention. A few Jensen-bodied Fords were produced in the mid-1930s before a more serious manufacturing effort commenced in 1938. After World War II, Jensen kept itself afloat by producing bodies for other manufacturers, most notably Austin Healey, while producing its own stylish GTs in limited numbers. It was not until the Interceptor's arrival in 1967 that cars began to leave the West Bromwich factory in more substantial numbers. With the Interceptor's introduction, Jensen switched from glass fibre to steel for its car bodies, though underneath the preceding C-V8's chassis, running gear and 6,276 cc Chrysler engine remained substantially unchanged. With around 280 bhp on tap, performance was more than adequate, the motor recording a top speed of 140 mph with 100 mph arriving from a standstill in 19 seconds. Four-wheel servo-assisted Dunlop discs looked after the braking while the ride quality could be varied by the Armstrong Selectaride dampers' dashboard control. Leather upholstery, reclining front seats, and walnut veneer trim were all standard features of this Vignale-styled Anglo-American GT, while automatic transmission was the choice of almost all buyers. The Series II incorporated revised front suspension, Girling brakes and a redesigned interior, while the Series III, introduced in October 1971, came with a 7.2-litre engine, better seats, central locking, and GKN alloy wheels. The SP (six-pack) was the rare one €“ with only 232 being built. Originally registered on the 9th November 1972 this Mk. III Interceptor is presented in white with black diamond stitched leather trim. This example has been subject to a full restoration with bills totalling over £60,000 after an engine fire in 2012, the damage was such that the insurers decided not to repair and thus this is categorised as a Category D. The car now presents extremely well, the mighty 7.2 litre engine is fabulous, and the original SP (six pack) has been removed and replaced with a more user-friendly single twin choked carburettor. A wonderful brute of a British sports car in which the vendor has spent extensively with fabulous results, sensibly estimated, viewing is highly recommended.

1961 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL Roadster Transmission: manualMileage:4068There are some cars that epitomise design that transcends normal functionality, with advanced vision that predates wind tunnel technology and that even with modern resources, designers can often only dream of. There are just a handful of which we speak; for example, Jaguar's E-Type, Aston Martin's DB4 and the 190 SL belonging to Mercedes-Benz. Contrary to popular belief, both the 190 SL and its bigger brother, the 300 SL, hit the market at about the same time. Whilst there was the obvious power differential, many styling cues could be found on both cars, least of all the same level of detail and craftmanship that defines Mercedes-Benz. The 190 SL also took advantage of the same suspension underpinnings as the 300 SL thus affording it both confident handling and driveability. This extremely usable example presented here in €˜Fire Engine Red' with a matching red leather interior and period-correct carpets, appears to have had a full bare-metal restoration in approximately 1999 with photographic evidence to show. Between then and now parts and works have been undertaken from various suppliers including Mercedes-Benz Crystal Palace, SLS Mercedes-Benz in Hamburg (in German naturally) and highly respected SS Motors, Mercedes-Benz specialists in Weybridge. The vendor acquired it through Charles Ironside, a specialist of high standing with an equally high-quality threshold, back in 2010. More general maintenance followed with a major service in 2019 including gearshift cover strip down, propshaft out to trace a leak and heater system overhaul. New carpets were fitted by Surrey Trim in 2020 with a new mohair hood envelope at a cost of £3,120. Still complete with the original Becker Europa wireless and associated paperwork, a light service and fresh MoT test certificate will accompany, and this example also benefits from having the extremely rare and original hardtop with the desirable larger rear window offering elegant motoring to the next fortunate owner.

1964 Austin Healey 3000 BJ7 Transmission: manualMileage:79714We are pleased to offer this delightful Austin Healey 3000 BJ7, built to represent the Works Healey of 1964. Over an 18 year period EBW 195B underwent extensive restoration works which still exudes with quality today. In fact, rarely seen with such a sports car, that it displays a character and a patina often missed with the overly glitzy restorations on the market so frequently. Retaining the left hand drive format it started with, the British Motoring Heritage Trust Certificate states that this big Healey was manufactured between 27th and 28th June 1963 and was dispatched to the USA on 22nd July of that year. The certificate also confirms that the car was dispatched with wire wheels, overdrive, a heater, an adjustable steering column, tonneau cover, whitewall tyres and a laminated windscreen. The Guards Red coachwork is in excellent order throughout with the standard continuing on the undersides. Of note are the panel gaps, which are an important detail, usually difficult to obtain with restorations of motor cars such as this. The front wings have the addition of the Works style vents and what really sets this Healey off, is the addition of a Works style hardtop with vent. It may be of interest to note that we are not sure whether this is a genuine Works hardtop, but it doesn't have the look of a new reproduction item however. On opening the bonnet, you will see the standard of workmanship has been maintained. The engine is supplied with triple 1¾ SU carburettors and the electrics supplied by an alternator conversion. Exhaust gases are extracted via the stainless-steel side exiting exhaust system. In addition, the brakes have been uprated and drive is via an overdrive gearbox and limited slip differential. In addition to the wire wheels, there is a set of knock-on Minilight style alloy wheels shod with excellent Dunlop SP Sport tyres. The interior continues on the inside with the excellent red piped black Connolly hide seats and matching Wilton carpets. A set of standard bumpers, in excellent condition, are also included should you wish to return this to a more traditional road looking car. The history file is as you would expect, comprehensive with detailed invoices and photos of the restoration combined with more recent works with Healy specialists JME; this includes a full shakedown and tune in April 2021 before a brake overhaul in June 2021 with electronic ignition added. We are informed the car is now a peach to drive and very fast! So, there you have it, a fabulous Austin Healey that is a pleasure to drive, offered from a private collection that looks and feels period and has all the right parts that make it the car it is today. Please inspect this Austin Healey and then ask yourself, what would this Austin Healey cost to build today? With that in mind, we're sure you will agree that it is offered with a very reasonable estimate.

1964 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL Pagoda Transmission: manualMileage:33000The Mercedes-Benz W113 roadsters, designed by Paul Bracq, were produced from 1963 through to 1971 and were known as the 'Pagoda roof' SL. All models boast an inline six-cylinder engine with multi-port fuel injection. Rear wheel drive configuration was complemented by independent rear suspension, a feature that greatly improved road handling. The 230 SL made a remarkable debut at the prestigious Geneva Motor Show in March 1963 where the famous German engineer Fritz Nallinger introduced it as follows It was our aim to create a very safe and fast sports car with high performance which, despite its sports characteristics, provides a very high degree of travelling comfort. This Mercedes-Benz 230SL Pagoda was originally registered in 1964 in the US and was imported to the UK from Florida in 2008. Owned by our vendor since 2012 and presented in burgundy paintwork which matches the supplied colour from new and has lovely €˜as new carpeting' complimented by its black trim. Restored circa four years ago and presenting in similar condition today, this example boasts the desirable manual gearbox and is offered with over £40,000 in receipts. It benefits from new brake and suspension components, new complete exhaust and new tyres (all done less than 500 miles ago). Since passing its MoT in March this year, the vendor has been driving and enjoying whilst having any final work completed. Within the history file, you will find the latest receipts reflecting in April of this year a sum of £900 has been spent on having the servo overhauled, an engine fuel and air ratio adjustment for £751.43 in July and finally in September this year, the latest receipt for £3405.16 which shows the engine timing chain and adjuster were replaced. The engine timing and vacuum advance have been set up and the alternator overhauled. This work was carried out by renowned classic Mercedes specialists Colin Ferns ltd, showing a good level of care for what has been a joy for our client to drive over the summer months. Supplied with both soft and hardtops, this is a very desirable manual Pagoda which is offered at an extremely realistic price. A perfect example ready for a European tour perhaps or 2023's long summer days motoring

1994 AC Ace Brooklands Transmission: manualMileage:53923The Brooklands Ace had made several public debuts before production finally got underway at AC's traditional manufacturing base at Brooklands, Surrey. Under guidance from Brian Angliss, ACs Managing Director, his team had taken seven years to develop the IAD-designed new model into production reality - no small task for any manufacturer, let alone a minnow such as AC Cars. Powered by Ford's 5.0 litre Mustang engine, the svelte body was hand formed in aluminium with an emphasis on luxury and performance and also enjoys an electric hood. In all, only 49 were produced (some say 46!) and this example is recognised as the first production car to leave the works. It was first registered in August 1994 and was kept for promotional use by AC in its early days, the car featured on the front cover, inside cover (with Angliss) and as 'Miss October' in the official 1995 AC Calendar. It was also the main image in the factory brochure and even on the front of the company Christmas card, examples of each are included in the sale. The previous owner had it for 25 years before the present owner bought it. L500 ACE also appeared on Top Gear in period, all nice history for a significant example of the breed. The car was bought directly from AC cars in June 1996, although it appears to have been originally ordered by F W Mays Ltd, AC dealers in Dorking who were possibly the first name in the logbook (the V5C registration document shows two previous keepers plus the current owner). Its first official stamped service (nine stamps in total) was with AC Cars in January 1996 at 1,120 miles, typical of a factory owned early production/promotional car. Second AC service was at 2,448 miles. By 1998, it had covered 20,670 miles, its last of seven services by AC themselves in 1999 showing a total of 37,115 miles. Two further stamps from Redline and Oldfields take it to 2017 by which time 52,745 miles had been covered. The leather-bound handbook is specific to this car and incorporates the service record. Further invoices show continued service care including new rear springs and dampers in 2017 and its latest MoT test certificate expires in June 2023. The current mileage reads 53,923 miles. It has a battery cut off switch and an immobiliser, both factory fitted, the latter being commissioned by current owner at time of purchase which is operational from the driver's seat. The history file accompanying this car includes the car's original build specification sheet, which lists the colour as Tourmaline Green Pearl with Magnolia/Green Connolly leather upholstery and Burr Elm inserts. Further correspondence confirms that L500 ACE was the first production car and its original and very appropriate registration number remains with the car and is included in the sale. The file also contains two Alpine stereo handbooks and there are two sets of keys. The condition is exceptional with a clean under-bonnet area, stainless steel rust-free chassis, good hood (electric and fully functional) and a clean and smart interior. This is a car which has been used, loved and well cared-for and is absolutely fabulous to drive!

1962 Jaguar E-Type Series I Roadster Transmission: manualMileage:Launched at the 1961 Geneva Motor Show, the Jaguar E-Type was nothing short of a revelation. With its heady blend of supercar performance, breathtaking styling and low-price tag, the newcomer left rivals reeling and customers clamouring. Early sportscar racing success at the hands of Graham Hill and Roy Salvadori amongst others helped cement its reputation. Built as a monocoque with a front sub-frame to cradle the engine, the model's combination of all-round independent suspension (torsion-bar front/coil-sprung rear) rack and pinion steering and four-wheel disc brakes gave it excellent road holding and handling capabilities. Fed by triple SU HD8 carburettors and topped with a 'straight port' DOHC cylinder head, its indomitable 3781cc straight-six engine was quoted as developing some 265bhp and 260lbft of torque. Allied to a four-speed Moss gearbox (with synchromesh on 2nd, 3rd and 4th), it reputedly enabled the E-Type to sprint from 0-60mph in 6.9 seconds and on to 150mph.Manufactured on 8th June 1962 and then despatched to Jaguar Cars in New York, this E-Type was repatriated to the UK in 2015. Purchased by the current vendor in 2017 he embarked on a total nut and bolt restoration. The car is now finished in Opalescent Grey with contrasting burgundy interior. The paintwork finish is to a high standard as is the leather interior. Still in its left hand drive guise this Series I E-Type would make an ideal car to travel on the continent, offering style and performance. Supplied with a NOVA certificate and the original US title document, this very special Jaguar really does have to be seen to be appreciated.

1959 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible Transmission: automaticMileage:Although Cadillac had invented the tailfin in 1948, by the late 1950s, others were offering their own take on the theme. In fact, the 1959 Cadillac fins were a response by Cadillac to the 1957 Chrysler line, which had borrowed Cadillac's own idea and took it one step further. According to the late David Holls, former design director at GM, the famous fins of 1959 were the result of a directive from management that Cadillac would not be outdone by Chrysler products. There was little danger of that, as the 1959 Cadillac was a modern classic that truly represented the high point of the era of fins and flash. It was huge yet remarkably docile to drive, thanks to abundant power, a first-rate automatic transmission, and excellent power steering and brakes. No other car captured the essence of the Jet Age quite like the 1959 Cadillac. In addition to sharply swept and dramatically pointed fins, surface development was a series of curves, nacelles, and character lines that could have come from one of the new jet fighters of the time. Wheel covers carried a turbine wheel motif, and there were even vestigial ventral fins at the lower edge of each rear side, passing through the bumper skirts to merge into the massive rear bumper. The Series 62 Convertible offered here was the recipient of a full restoration in the iconic colour of Seminole Red with a contrasting red/white interior and white electric vinyl hood. In true 1959 Cadillac fashion, it has numerous options and accessories, including the Hydra-Matic transmission; power steering, brakes, windows, and top; and the standard bench seat that provides traditional comfort for up to three adult passengers across the front. This example is probably one of the finest on the market and is extremely sought after and rare. The vendor has given it 10/10 in every respect, and we strongly recommend that the car be viewed in person to really appreciate its beauty and superb quality. The engine bay itself is something to behold let alone the rest of the car. Superb! This is an American icon that any enthusiast should own at least once in his or her life, and this car is a handsome example of one of the all-time great GM designs.

1973 BMW 2002 Tii Transmission: manualMileage:48627BMW's director of product planning, Helmut Werner Bönsch and Alex von Falkenhausen, the designer of the BMW M10 engine, had both been owners of a 1600-2 (1602) and subsequently both had installed a two-litre engine in their respective cars. Following the realisation that they had both made the same modification, they prepared a joint proposal to BMW's board to manufacture a two-litre version of the 1602. At the same time, American importer Max Hoffman was asking BMW for a sporting version of the 02 series that could be sold in the United States. The 1990cc engine was made available in 1968 in two states of tune; the base single-carburettor 2002, producing 100bhp as in the 2000 and 2000C and the dual-carburettor high compression 2002Ti, producing 120bhp as in the 2000Ti and 2000CS, later a fuel injection model was introduced - the Tii.This right hand drive BMW, affectionately known as a €˜Roundy' because of the rear lights was originally registered on 22nd June 1973 and has been used both as a road car and a rally car. The condition of the car is good and mechanically it has proven to be exceedingly reliable on rallies. Fitted with rare €˜bottle-top' alloy wheels, a factory sunroof, five-speed gearbox, rare steering boss, and a lux interior. The previous vendor enjoyed plenty of success and had loads of fun with the car, the current vendor purchased the 2002 to continue the cars rallying history but unfortunately a change in circumstances means that is not possible and has chosen to part with the car, hopefully to someone that will enjoy the car in the way it is intended. A comprehensive history file accompanies this BMW, with invoices totalling over £10,000, the engine was rebuilt on a regular basis to ensure reliability. 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagoda Restoration Transmission: automaticMileage:53703The Mercedes-Benz 280 SL was introduced in December 1967 and continued in production until February 1971. An all new design by Paul Bracq to replace the 190 SL and 300 SL Roaster. The 280 SL had a powerful 2.8 litre version of Mercedes inline-six and used Bosch fuel injection. To save on weight the bonnet, boot lid and tonneau cover were all composed of aluminium. The nickname 'Pagoda' was quickly adopted thanks to the slightly concave roof on the optional removable hardtop that resembled a pagoda roof. The comparatively short and wide chassis, combined with an excellent suspension, powerful disc brakes and radial tyres gave the W113 superb handling for its time. These roadsters also have one of the most beautiful bodies produced in the 1960s. Thanks to their robust inline-six and their luxurious Mercedes interior, they are wonderful cars to be driven and enjoyed. The styling of the front paid homage to the legendary 300 SL with its characteristic upright Bosch €˜fishbowl' headlights and simple chrome grille, dominated by the large three-pointed star in the nose panel. Originally delivered to the US, this left hand drive, automatic example has been registered since 2005 to a Mr Richard Johnson in Colorado. In 2008, it was acquired by a Mr. RIzwan Khan of Gillingham, Kent before being offered by Historics in 2012. Our vendor originally bought this from Historics to add to his Mercedes-Benz collection, the restoration work to this car then started in April 2021 when the bodywork was completely stiped to bare metal. New panels have skilfully been welded where required and then the stunning red paint finish has been applied. We are informed all this vehicle needs now is to have the mechanical components overhauled before refitting and the interior and exterior components reinstated. Supplied with an engine and transmission, vast amount of the chrome work, interior/exterior components, and full exhaust system. *Although the vendor has supplied a list of the components he does advise there are some parts missing to complete this car, and everything that comes with it in his opinion would need overhauling and re chroming etc. Part finished to a very good standard an original left hand drive automatic 280 SL Pagoda that has over the past 18 months begun what is well on the way to being a full body restoration sitting on newly painted hubcap wheels. With engine running gear and chromework all supplied as per the photos, supplied with the car, and can be collected locally post auction. Supplied with Colorado certificate of title, Customs form C&E 386 and other documents this example would represent an ideal project to complete what has become a very popular classic roadster with prices having risen above £100,000 for fully restored 280 Pagodas over the last 12 months. 1986 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Transmission: automaticMileage:86949Mercedes-Benz have been producing an SL model or range of models since 1954. The similarly styled but mechanically unrelated 190 followed in 1955 completing the first generation of cars. The second-generation SL's began with the 230 in 1963. It was distinguished by its lower waistline, big curved screens and a distinctive optional hardtop that earned the model its nickname of `pagoda top'. Over its nine years of production, the second-generation SL's engine grew in capacity from 2.3 litres to 2.5 litres and finally to 2.8 litres which was shown by the name 230 SL, 250 SL and 280 SL. The larger, third generation SL was launched in 1971, initially with just a 3.5-litre engine (350 SL) mated to four-speed automatic transmission. The car featured a two-door monocoque bodyshell with independent suspension all round, coil springs and anti-roll bar at the front and semi-trailing arms, coil springs and anti-roll bar at the rear. The power assisted steering was Daimler-Benz's own re-circulating ball system. Over its seventeen-year reign, the R107 range was powered by no less than eight different engines - two sizes of straight-six unit and six versions of 90-degree V8.Originally registered on 15th August 1986 this Mercedes-Benz presents in Ivory with chestnut two-tone interior. The car presents in delightful condition and has clearly been a very well cared for example. We are advised she drives with no known faults, the six-cylinder three-litre engine is generally a very robust unit, offering good performance and fuel economy. Supplied with a V5 registration document and the original service and handbooks, together with a factory hardtop. A lovely example of this appreciating and very usable modern classic.

2004 Rolls-Royce Phantom Transmission: automaticMileage:The Phantom V11 was the first all-new design to be introduced by the company following its takeover by BMW. Produced at a new factory near Goodwood in Sussex, the Phantom revived a great name from Rolls-Royce's past that had always been synonymous with unrestrained luxury. In keeping with the tradition established by previous Phantoms, the newcomer was a very large motor car, outstretching the old Silver Seraph (the last Crewe-built Rolls-Royce) by 18 while boasting a radiator shell 4 taller. Priced at around £260,000 at time of launch, it was also 40% more expensive. At 140½, the new car's wheelbase was only fractionally shorter than that of the superseded Phantom VI that had ceased production in the 1990s; gone however, was the old pushrod V8 engine, its place being taken by an all-new 48 valve V12 of 6.7 litre capacity. Despite being normally aspirated, the latter produced 460bhp, comfortably exceeding the old engine's maximum when turbo-charged, albeit at a high 5,300 revolutions. This abundance of power was transmitted to the rear axle via a six-speed automatic gearbox, while air-sprung suspension and automatic level control ensured that ride quality remained uncompromised. While the body structure represented the ultimate in automotive technology, its accoutrements remained entirely traditional in choice of materials, consisting of the finest hide trim, genuine woolen carpets and carefully selected wood veneers. Certain dashboard features recalled those of earlier models, while there was a choice of five-seater 'Lounge' or four-seater €˜Theatre' accommodation. This flagship of the famous marque was originally supplied by Rolls-Royce Motors of London on 5th July 2004. Originally supplied in silver metallic but currently wearing a gloss full body wrap in Diamond Black with contrasting cream leather, which is complemented by unmarked Birdseye Maple wooden facias and 22 Mansory wheels giving a contemporary uplift. The registration number H15 RRP (His Rolls-Royce Phantom) comes with the vehicle. From new and until 2010, the servicing found within the original maintenance booklet, was carried out by main dealers and a single specialist. With just three owners from new, Mr. Bainbridge took ownership in 2009 and used the car daily hence the mileage now showing 177,000, however, the current vendor states that it drives like a 50,000 mile car. The previous owner who was the proprietor of 1st Direct Cars, maintained the vehicle and there is also a raft of invoices from PA Wood Rolls-Royce. ur vendor purchased the car in March of this year and he has used it to attend various social events, he claims it is the most fun he has had with his friend's, shuttling them in luxury to Le Mans and other events. The car enjoys all the usual refinements one would expect, including electric memory seats, ice cold air conditioning, hidden umbrellas in the poweroperated rear doors (electrically closing), a rotating TV screen mounted to the rear of the beautiful dash clock and overhead driving enchantment lighting to name a few of the factory-fitted options. Currently the audio system is falty and will require attention. Offered with an MoT test certificate until May 2023 and realistically reserved, this car presents great value for money and still offers that unrivalled presence with the powerful silent ride quality we all clamor for. There is no better way to arrive at any event and you owe it to yourself to own one once!

The car presents spotlessly in gleaming Black coachwork with a black leather interior. The stunning condition is complemented with a tremendous level of equipment which includes a factory fitted sunroof, rear screen entertainment, privacy glass, illuminated AMG treadplates, gold coloured brake calipers and sidesteps. The V8 Kompressor engine fired up with a reassuring growl through its side mounted exhaust pipes when requested and if you doubted the cars power it leaves very little to the imagination. A natural rival to the 928 and XJS, the four-seater 6-series proved more capacious than the Porsche and sportier than the Jaguar. Immediately recognisable thanks to its distinctive 'shark nose' frontal styling and thin pillared glasshouse it boasts real road presence. An impression backed up by the various versions of BMW's mighty M30, SOHC straight-six engine fitted throughout the range. Second only to the BMW Motorsport tuned M6 version, the 635CSi's 3430cc unit developed some 216bhp and 232lbft of torque propelling it from 0-60mph in 8.4 seconds and on to 135mph.This lovely 1986 BMW 635 CSi was purchased about two years ago as a restoration project that had been started. All the suspension and the brakes had been fully rebuilt and a new complete exhaust system fitted. The vendors completed the restoration by stripping the bodywork back to bare metal, repainting the car in the original colour of Cosmos Blue metallic, refurbished the original wheels and fitted new tyres. They fully serviced the engine and gearbox and had a new MoT test certificate carried out which expires in September 2023. The original beige leather interior has been complemented with a new headlining and carpet set. This lovely 635 CSi is supplied with a V5 registration document, the book pack containing handbooks and the service book which is fully stamped up to 2000 at 126,300 miles. This four-wheel drive vehicle was the British equivalent of the American Willys Jeep. Built using a steel ladder chassis and aluminium bodywork the Defender gained a worldwide reputation for ruggedness and versatility. The L316 Defender 90 model was manufactured between 2002 until 2007. The Td5 was fitted with a turbocharged, inline five-cylinder, diesel engine producing 120bhp at 4,200 rpm with the power transmitted to the road by a €˜all-wheel drive' system with a five-speed gearbox. The chassis details responsible for road holding and handling include a rigid axle, coil springs, anti-roll bar front suspension and De Dion axle. Coil springs, anti-roll bar rear suspension. The Td5 braking system includes vented discs at the front and solid brake discs to the rear. This excellent, two owners from new example, is one of the last Land Rover Defender 90 Td5 supplied new in 2006. Purchased by the current owner in 2010 it has been fully maintained and serviced, very year, by a Land Rover main dealer until 2020 when it had a major service by a Land Rover specialists less than 2500 miles ago. In 2018 the tyres were replaced and still appear like new. When he purchased the Td5 a slight crack was discovered in the engine block, a new unstamped, engine was supplied and fitted by Land Rover under warranty, since the new engine was fitted it has done 26,000 miles. This 90 Td5 hardtop is finished in green with a white roof and has recently been retrimmed in county tweed. It is fitted with a Thatcham Alarm system and is supplied with a V5 registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in August 2023, the complete handbook pack which contains the service book and continuation service book and a large file with old MoT's, invoices and other documents. 2003 Mercedes-Benz SL55 Transmission: automaticMileage:95356The fifth generation of the legendary SL series convertible sports cars was known as the R230. It featured a fully retractable hardtop that was marketed as the Vario Roof, a first for the SL class although it had been available on the smaller SLK model since 1997. The flagship models were built by AMG in the form of the SL55 and SL65, both highly tuned versions of the SL500 and SL600 respectively. The SL55 was powered by a mighty supercharged version of the 5.5 litre, V8 which produced 493bhp and achieved 0-62 in 4.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 155mph (governed). In theory, the SL55 could reach 190mph if the car was derestricted but, for many, the acceleration and top speed is impressive enough in its standard form! The Mercedes-Benz SL55 is no shrinking violet but the previous owner of this car was not satisfied and wanted to attract even more attention. A full wide body kit was used to convert the SL55 AMG to a recreation of the later Brabus SL65 Black Edition with the help of a professional ADAIR kit. Subject to a light category D insurance loss in 2013, ADAIR used this opportunity to facelift the headlights and expertly replace the panels with the wide body kit. The car today looks every part its £280,000 plus sibling, a real wolf in wolfs clothing and is described by our vendor as €˜an absolute goliath of a car'. We are informed that the engine has been breathed on with the intention of achieving 600bhp, however until dyno tested this is still an unknown, but it certainly feels very close to that figure. The incredible sound from the exhaust is enough to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end making this an exciting car to drive and own. We are also informed only one genuine SL65 Brabus Black Edition car exists and is held in a collection owned by the Dubai Royal family. An AMG super-charged V8 with the roof down is a perfect motoring scenario and so desired by fans of the SL Mercedes-Benz. Offered with a MoT test certificate until June 2023, this stunning SL will turn heads at every opportunity and will be sure to do the same when offered on 26th November at the home of AMG Mercedes-Benz.

1974 Lancia Fulvia 3 Transmission: manualMileage:82000Named after the Roman road leading from Tortona to Turin, the Fulvia was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in 1963. It had a 'Narrow Angle' vee configuration which allowed a single cylinder head to cover all the cylinders with one cam each for intake and exhaust valves and proved highly successful both on the domestic market but, more noticeably, in the rally world where, for a time, it swept all before it. Starting with the classic Series I model it was then updated to the Series II and finally to the Fulvia 3 in 1974. Visually identifiable by its matt black grill, it also featured more comfortable seats with headrests and more modern white-faced instrument dials. This rare Fulvia 3 left the factory in 1974 arriving on our shores in 2017. Its current owner stripped the car back and had it repainted in the original factory colour paying particular attention to the door shuts. The seats have been clearly retrimmed alongside fresh carpets in the cockpit. New Cromodora 6Jx14-style painted alloy wheels and tyres have been fitted all round and, as a nod to its competition heritage, the car has been de-bumpered (originals supplied), matching competition Group 4 wheelarches added as well as the addition of correct Carello yellow fog lights (with covers). The engine has been overhauled with new disc brakes and pads fitted, all electrics are confirmed as fully functional and it comes complete with a full 12-month MoT test certificate.

1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Transmission: automaticMileage:1969 was the benchmark year for Ford Mustang in its proliferation of performance names and engines. No fewer than six factory performance Mustang models were available. Additionally, seven variations of V8s were available in the 1969/1970 models, most of these also available in the new Mach 1. The Mach 1 started with a V8 powered €˜Sportsroof' body and added numerous visual and performance enhancing items. Standard on Mach 1's was a fierce but cosmetic hood scoop that had integrated turn-signal lights mounted in the back. A more functional option was the signature €˜shaker hood', an air scoop mounted directly to the top of the motor, used to collect fresh air and so named for its tendency to €˜shake' above the rumbling V8 below. The interior came complete with teak wood grain details, full sound deadening material and high-back sport bucket seats. This powerful genuine, 1970 code 05 Mustang Mach 1 351 Cleveland Auto was restored about 15 years ago with a total strip down and repaint in metallic blue over tan interior. The car had benefitted from an engine rebuild a few years earlier and features an Edelbrock alloy inlet. The list of enhancements includes an upgraded exhaust system, power disc brakes, chrome Mach 1 wheels and plenty of polished parts under the bonnet. The interior is in good condition with a sportsdeck folding rear seat, centre console and a wood rimmed steering wheel. When we fired the car up the noise was as impressive as the looks of this car and we are told she is a joy to drive. Offered to auction with a V5 registration document, this is an opportunity to own a classic piece of Americana.

1981 BMW M535i Transmission: manualMileage:115000The BMW E12 series was the first model to be given the 5-Series label. Built between 1972 and 1981, almost 700,000 were built in total in factories across the globe including locations as far flung as South Africa, Indonesia, and Thailand as well as the firm's native Germany. The replacement for the much-loved New Class it was offered with a wide range of engines from the 89bhp 1.8-litre of the BMW 518 through to the 3.2-litre, 197bhp 533i. Inline four and six-cylinders options were on the board, along with a wide variety of both manual and automatic gearboxes. Most had steel wheels, and all had recirculating ball steering. And yet, for all its humble beginnings, the E12 ushered in a whole new category into the sector, that of the high-performance saloon.Because the M535i was the first volume production €˜M' car (the M1 was a whole different kettle of fish, of course€¦). Launched in 1980, it is powered by a 3.5-litre straight-six M90 engine from the 635CSi that develops 215bhp. The gearbox is a €˜dog-leg' five-speed Getrag manual, and the rear axle features a limited-slip differential. Performance is strong rather than vivid, with 60mph coming up in just under eight seconds and a top speed of around 140mph. Of course, the braking system is upgraded, as is the suspension the latter being both lower and stiffer than standard and damped by specially developed Bilstein dampers. Front and rear spoilers give the car visual flair, while the interior gained fancy, figure-hugging Recaro seats and the M1's sports steering wheel. They were genuinely handbuilt. This lovely example of this superb marque has been the subject of much expenditure to include a complete respray in Black (its original factory colour) and a new black leather interior which included its Recaro seats. During the recommissioning, the engine was rebuilt also and is mated to the desirable dog-leg gearbox, it also comes with electric windows. This is a striking car in fantastic condition.
