A silver inkwell, William Hare Haseler, Birmingham 1910, with glass liner: a silver two handled trophy with makers initials T H E, Birmingham 1921, and a silver cigarette case, E J Trevitt and Sons, Birmingham 1940, with engine turned decoration, 12.5 cm x 8.5 cm. 285.4 grams of weighable silver.
A silver novelty desk clock in the form of a horseshoe, Douglas Clock Co, Birmingham 1897, gilt metal back and easel support, Registration No. RD.No 254459, in plush fitted presentation case. Height 8.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Overall this is in nice clean condition as it has been protected by its case. There is however a small dent to the bottom right hand edge of the horseshoe. The minute hand from the watch is loose. The movement appears to work. The second hand moves when the movement is agitated. There is a series of small hairline cracks on the enamel dial located around the number 3. There is a further small crack issuing from the centre of the dial pointing towards the number 5. The clock casing appears to be original but does not sit flush when laid on its back therefore the case does not fully shut. The engine turned and gilded back is a little loose and is slightly rubbed. The interior lining of the doors is frayed through use.
A hallmarked silver glasses case with Greek key work and engine turned decoration, Birmingham 1927, and a small square hallmarked silver jewellery box with canted corners and scroll feet, P J Finch, Birmingham 1926 (2). CONDITION REPORT Glasses case has age-related wear in the form of surface scratches, slightly misshapen top, closes more firmly on one side, clear hallmarks. Age-related wear to the box, base of box is damaged, clear hallmarks.
