An English engineer, inventor and Royal Air Force (RAF) air officer, Sir Frank Whittle is credited with having invented the turbojet engine. Good Condition. Live Steam: A Polly III Engineering, Tank Locomotive, 5" Gauge, 'Newport Flyer', kit built by current vendor with accompanying photographs of the process of building, together with a collection of plans, rails, sleepers, and paperwork, including an expired boiler certificate. The vendor informs us that the engine has been kept lubricated, despite not being steamed for a few years. Length measuring approx. 84cm. A very nice, clean example.
