* London-Paris Air Race. First London-Paris Race. L`Entente Air Contest. Hendon to Paris & Back in One Day. £1,000 in Prizes, an original cyclostyled press release issued by the London Aerodrome, Hendon `For Favour of Insertion, Whole or Part` and giving details of `Another wonderful air race is to take place on Saturday July 11th, which besides providing a magnificent display of airmanship, should add another link to the Entente Cordiale ...` and going on to give further details of the race from Hendon Aerodrome to Buc Aerodrome near Paris, a distance of 502 miles, further details of the handicapped starting times, a compulsory one hour`s rest after arriving in France, the route taken in both directions and details of the prize money, printed on one side only of a folio sheet of paper, a little dust soiled and chipped at edges. The race was won by the American William Brock in his Morane at a speed of 71.5 mph and a time of 7:03:06. The other favourite, Lord Carberry in a Bristol Scout, was doing well until his engine quit on the return flight and he landed safely in the English Channel. (1)

A silver curblink charm bracelet, with a heart shaped padlock clasp, including the bust of Shakespeare, Chichester Market Cross, and a medieval knight`s helmet, together with a curblink bracelet, fitted with silver threepence charms, an 18ct gold circular cased lady`s wristwatch, import mark London 1907, the enamelled dial with Arabic numerals, on a gilt metal fronted expanding bracelet, a pair of 9ct gold cut cornered rectangular cufflinks, with engine turned decoration, Birmingham 1933, four gold dress studs, and a silver rectangular ingot pendant, with a neckchain.
A silver rectangular hinge lidded snuff box, the cover decorated with two horses and riders and with a dog in a landscape scene, otherwise with floral and scroll moulded decoration to the borders and engine turned to the lid, sides and the base, by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1835. Illustrated.

A ladies silver gilt and mauve enameled rectangular cigarette case, the cover with mauve enameled decoration, on an engine turned ground, import mark London 1927 and a rectangular enameled hinge lidded box, European, the cover with red enameled decoration, on an engine turned ground, within a white enameled border. Illustrated.
An amethyst and half pearl set pendant, mounted with the oval cut amethyst at the centre, in a surround of four pearls, on a gold ropetwist link neckchain, with a cylindrical clasp, a gold and seed pearl brooch, designed as a floral spray and a circular gold brooch, mounted with four circular cut sapphires at intervals, otherwise engine turned.
