BSA Rocket Goldstar motorcycle. 1975. 650ccFrame No. GA-10-300Engine No. DA10R5285Good compression. This bike was exported to Jersey in 1962 and returned to the UK in 1975. C/w 6 volt battery charger. The engine was stripped and completely rebuilt in 2023 as well as lots of other refurbishments with paperwork and photos as proof. Recent oil change in all departments as this is shaft drive and has the 10 speed box. All invoices from 1997 including a engine rebuild in 2019 costing £2000. Excelsior Manxman motorcycle. 1939. 350cc. Frame No. JM85Engine No. CXC135Runs and rides but not ridden since summer 2022 and so may require some light recommissioning. Recent restoration. Overhead valve engine and matching numbers bike. Complete with Buff logbook, The Manxman handbook and various history including MOT test certificates and invoices. Believed to have been the last bike to leave the factory. Was in the same ownership from 1949 to 2012, originally purchased shortly before WWII and stored in a garage in North London while the owner went to war. Sadly he never returned and the bike remained in storage until 1949. This machine was restored over a 2 year period and ridden in the isle of Mann in 2015 on the closed road parade lap. John Hutchinson Concorde captain signed 12 x 8 colour photo. Super image with dropped snoop nose and nice hand signed autograph. John joined the Royal Air Force in 1955 and spent eight years in the service. His Squadron flying was on the Avro Shackleton conducting maritime operations in Singapore. He went on to complete the course at the Central Flying School in 1960 and was an A2 QFI and Instrument Rating Examiner on the Jet Provost until he left the RAF in 1963. This was followed by three years in corporate aviation flying a variety of light single and twin-engine aircraft. He joined BOAC (subsequently British Airways) in 1966 as a co-pilot on Boeing 707's and 747's, gaining his command on the VC10 in 1976. He was posted to the Concorde fleet in 1977 where he remained until retirement from BA in 1992. He was a Route & Line Check Captain and has 5,800 hours on that aircraft, 3,800 of them being supersonic flight hours. John has worked as a consultant on the US High Speed Research Programme. He is a member of the Flight Operations Group of the Royal Aeronautical Society and has acted as an Expert Witness in aviation related legal actions. He has worked as a Presenter on BBC Television and lectures extensively on cruise ships and to a variety of organisations throughout the world. He is a member of the Duxford Aviation Society, custodians of the British Airliner Collection which includes Concorde 101, the fastest ever Concorde. Good Condition.
