GOLD OPEN FACED POCKET WATCH the white enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, the three quarter plate movement signed Henry Sidney Smith, 21 Commercial St, Leeds, no.9847,with engine turned and cartouche decoration to the back case, 45mm. dia., with two watch keys, and with a 9ct. gold pencil by Sampson Mordan & Co..and a silver pencil.

Benson, no.4658, the cases with engine turned and cartouche decoration, with an 18ct. gold watch chain with watch key, 11 grams, 50mm.
Medals; an M.B.E. group of eight medals awarded to Lt. Commander George William Bird, Royal Navy, comprising The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, M.B.E. (Military); 1914-15 Star (M.4937 G. W. Bird. E.R.A.3., R.N.); British War Medal 1914-1918 (M.4937 G. W. Bird. E.R.A.3., R.N.); Victory Medal (M.4937 G. W. Bird. E.R.A.3., R.N.); 1939-45 Star; Defence and War Medals 1939-45; and Jubilee 1935, and a mounted set of four miniature dress medals and a Edward Albert Prince of Wales 1925 Argentina commemorative medallion, inscribed "Visita a la Republica Argentina - Agosto 1925", together with another medallion inscribed "Visum Visu", an album entitled "World Cruise of the British Special Service Squadron 1923-1924" containing black and white photographs, service book 1923-1946, a photograph of crew of H.M.S. Dainty in China 1936/38, newspaper cutting and associated photocopies of commissions, etc (a lot) George William Bird, who spent his retirement years in Teignmouth, Devon, had a distinguished career in the Royal Navy, seeing service in both World Wars. He was born in the Royal Marine Barracks at Deal in 1890, the son of the Colour Sergeant there. He served an apprenticeship as an engine fitter in Sheerness Dockyard and later joined the Navy as an engine room artificer, rising through the ranks to Lieutenant Commander. During W.W.1 his ship was involved in the Battle of the Dogger Bank. In 1923, he went on a world cruise by Navy ships, being then warrant officer on H.M.S. Repulse. In 1925, his ship took the then Prince of Wales, on a tour of South America. Lt. Commander was later awarded the M.B.E. in recognition of his work in maintaining convoy escorts during the Battle of the Atlantic in W.W.2. He died in 1979.
A scratch built twin double A frame paraffin fired beam engine, mounted on a base plate 18" x 18". The boiler is paraffin fired, fitted with water and steam gauges, whistle, safety valves and fuel pressure pump. The control is by Watts centrifugal balls, oiling by steam pressure oilers and the unit is fitted with a large capacity condenser, water pumps and pressure fed lubricating oil.
A silver and enamel decorated travel clock with engine turned decoration, the dial set with Arabic numerals (Birmingham, 1930), together with a matching photograph frame in the Georgian manner CONDITION REPORTS Size of each approx. 12 cm wide x 8 cm high. Overall some general wear and scuffs, some chips and touched-in / re-painted areas to the wood to the photograph frame, photo frame has a chromed surround verso, enamelled decoration to both appears to be in reasonably good order, there is a chip to the glass clock face and it is not known whether or not the clock is complete or in working order.
An Art Deco cased travelling set comprising travelling clock, hand mirror, clothes brush and hairbrush, each with silver mounts and engine turned eau de nil enamel decoration, housed in a travelling box, a cased set of six silver handled butter knives, and a cased set of silver spoons with shell shaped bowls and crown finials with matching tongs CONDITION REPORTS Spoons with wear, scuffs, tarnish, some mis-shaping. Knives with wear scuffs, scratches, some knocks. Travelling set with wear and scuffs, some knocks and dents. Brush separating. Clock with chips, cracks and losses, and quite a lot of dents, and some mis-shaping. Rusting and tarnish. Not known whether or not in working order. All cases with wear and scuffs and some losses to surface.
Eight Corgi and Corgi Major diecast models in original boxes to include 1127 Simon Snorkel fire engine, 1120 Dennis, 1157 Esso Petrol Tanker with Ford Tilt Cab, 469 Route Master Buses etc. (8) CONDITION REPORT; Boxes overall in poor condition, creases bends and tears to plastic packaging, some rips wear and losses including the writing on most of the boxes.
Four Corgi Classics Chipperfield's Circus diecast models to include 97888 Foden closed pole truck with caravan, 97915 Scammell Highwayman with two trailers, 31902 Foden S21 lorry and trailer with elephants pedestal and rider, and 31703 Land Rover Morris Minor pick up Thames Trader, and AEC fire engine. (4) CONDITION REPORT; Boxes overall in good condition, some light and minor wear to some of the edges. Vehicles in mint condition.
Lledo The Collectors Choice Noddy Toyland complete set of six diecast models to include Noddy's car, Mr. Plod's police car, Mr. Milko's milk van, Toyland Fire Engine, Mr. Spark's pick up truck and Gobbo's car. All in original boxes. (6) CONDITION REPORT; Condition overall is good, items appear to have been kept in original packaging and not taken out of box.
