Illustrated diagram showing the meeting of the Grand Fleet and German High Seas Fleet at a rendezvous by order of Admiral Sir David Beatty. The fleet was met by the light cruiser HMS Cardiff (D58) on the morning of 21 November, and was led to the rendezvous with over 370 ships of the Grand Fleet and other allied navies. There were 70 German ships in total; the battleship König and the light cruiser Dresden had engine trouble and had to be left behind. The destroyer V30 struck a mine while crossing, and sank.The diagram shows the position of SS King Orry (Auxilliary Vessel) in the proceedings, between two groups of named cruisers. Flown in the Battle of Britain Lancaster PA474 on remembrance tour of the Netherlands from RAF Coningsby to Gilze Rijen and on display flights to Hoek Van Holland via the Operation Manna route to Groesbeek Museum and Cemetery flypast, to Soestedijk Palace where Operation Manna veterans were received by HRH Prince Bernard to Dronten Air Gunners Memorial Parade to Wageningen where the Germans surrendered in 1945 and to Steenbergen for dedication of a new memorial to Wg Cdr Guy Gibson VC ( OC Dambusters Squadron ) and his Navigator Sqn Ldr Jim Warwick then return to RAF Coningsby via Wattisham. Personally Signed by Johannes Christiaan de Keijzer Engine Room Articifer, Royal Netherlands Navy. In action defending Wilhelms Bridge, Rotterdam for which awarded the Bronzen Kruis.
