A WWII German portable Wehrmacht issue DKW 2 stroke one cylinder petrol engine - Channel Islands Occupation interest, the (working) engine originally powered a type WG 570a 220 volt 2.6 amp generator, the generators were widely used in bunkers and tunnels for electric power, painted green, engine box size 17 x 11½ x 18½in. (43.2 x 29.2 x 47cm.). * This engine was recovered from a bunker on the east side of Alderney and retained for its possible subsequent use.
A Zenith 18ct gold open face Art Deco style pocket watch, 1940s-50s, the silvered 40mm. Arabic dial signed 'Chronométre Zenith', with outer 24 hour track and subsidiary seconds dial at six, the fob wound three quarter plate movement signed 'Zenith 2746679', the bevelled case signed with Zenith maker's mark, numbered 299269, Swiss Minerva head mark, case diameter 47mm.* Condition: Watch runs. A few tiny nicks to silvering on dial. Case very good with just light scratching and one tiny ding to edge of engine turned back. Movement very clean.
A collection of Royal Navy/Fleet Air Arm interest items, to include; a 9ct. rose gold and enamel "Fleet Air Arm" sweetheart brooch, having red enamel to the Queens crown and green enamel to laurel wreath, with cast and engraved feather detail to wings, impressed maker "JWB" and hallmarked for 9 carat gold, width 5.5cm, (5.1g), together with a 9ct. yellow gold, enamel and seed pearl "Royal Navy Crown" sweetheart bar brooch, the openwork crown enamelled with various colours and set seed pearls, impressed maker "JWB" and hallmarked for 9 carat gold, width 4.8cm, (2.8g), a silver and blue enamel compact, by Gieves Ltd, Birmingham 1933, of circular form, with gently domed blue enamelled lid with applied silver Royal Navy Crown, the underside engine turned, interior fitted with mirror, diameter 9cm, and two related black and white photographs. (5)
A fine Russian boxed Faberge silver gilt and guilloche enamel cigarette case, c.1908-1910, of rectangular form, the exterior decorated all over with ivory coloured guilloche enamel with engine turned pattern beneath, the hinged lid with thumb grip set graduated rose cut diamonds, silver gilt interior engraved "From Douschlea, Paris 1910", impressed with 1908-26 kokoshnik 88 zolotnik mark for St.Petersburg, maker "IB" in Cyrilic script (unidentified), height 1.5cm x width 10.5cm x depth 6.3cm. (162.6g), complete in wooden box with Faberge marked silk lining.Condition; very slight lose of to top right hand corners to front and back (see images)
