Each container having a cut glass base with silver hallmarked lids, each having engraved or engine turned detailing. The box having a fitted tray lifting to reveal further storage beneath and a drawer to the bottom. Lids hallmarked for London 1836, makers marks for Thomas Whitehead. The lock marked J. T. Needs 128 Piccadilly, J Bramah 124 Piccadilly. Case measures 18x 35 x 26.6cm.

He produced the machinery at his Soho Foundry in Birmingham, the second act enabling him to export it to Russia, which would otherwise have been illegal.
