1928 Rolls-Royce 20 horse power Hooper Landaulette Registration No YV 6374, Chassis No GXL-70 six cylinder engine - 3127cc. This fine vintage Rolls-Royce Landaulette has been owned by the vendor for 49 years who purchased it from The Reverend Ransom of The Rectory, Great Bromley, Colchester on 22nd February 1962 for the sum of £45 (original receipt included). The vendor then spent over twenty years lovingly restoring the car to a very high standard using the finest materials and utmost care. The chassis was originally fitted with a H J Mulliner Weyman saloon body which was probably changed to the current Hooper body in the early 1930s - a common practice at the time. During the course of the restoration the car was totally re-trimmed with Bedford Cord to the rear seats and two folding occasional seats, black leather to the front compartment, new leather roof covering and rear folding hood. The body was totally stripped and re-sprayed in traditional black livery, whilst all the chrome plating including the window frames were re-plated. The engine was partially stripped, cleaned, de-coked and checked and found to be in very good order. The current mileage is believed to be around 49,000 miles. Although the Rolls has had little use in recent years it appears to be still in very good condition and awaiting an appreciative new owner. It is hoped that by the time of the sale it will have a new MOT. It is supplied with two mascots, old buff logbook, handbook, old MOTs, history file and various tools Further images and condition reports are available at www.reemandansie.com
