The Range Rover is a large luxury four-wheel drive sport utility vehicle launched in 1970 and is now in its fourth generation. In 1967, the first Range Rover prototype was built with the classic Range Rover shape clearly discernible although with a different front grille and headlight configuration. The design of the Range Rover was eventually finalised and signed off in 1969. After 25 years from the introduction of the first-generation Range Rover, the second-generation Range Rover model, designation P38A, was introduced for the 1995 model year with an updated version of the Rover V8 engine. The new model offered more equipment and premium trims positioning the vehicle above the Land Rover Discovery to face ever increasing competition in the SUV marketplace. Just as AMG is synonymous with the Mercedes-Benz performance division and Fords with RS Cosworth, badges on the boot can always be relied upon to supply thrills on demand. Overfinch has been connected to Range Rover (and Land Rover) since the 1970's offering something a little more 'exuberant' to the world's best four-wheel drive car ever built. Overfinch, in association with the world-famous gunmaker, Holland & Holland, produced a limited-edition Range Rover in which standard extras of electric windows, electric sunroof, electric heated seats, tinted windows, radio, central locking, power steering and a stack CD player, were added. Other bespoke Holland & Holland features included unique saddle leather, gun stock wood veneers, picnic tables, satellite navigation, TV screens fitted to front head rests, Holland & Holland inlays, mud guards and over carpets and in some instances a bespoke gun cabinet.Originally registered on 19th January 2001, this Range Rover was supplied by franchised dealership Guy Salmon in Sheffield. This top of the range 4.6 litre HSE Holland & Holland example is finished in Tintern Green metallic and fitted with a host of Holland & Holland extras including a rear entertainment system which when new was a £5,000 option! This Range Rover is supplied with a V5C registration document, book pack together with a current MoT test certificate valid until 15th October 2024 and a service history file with 10 stamps. Range Rovers are great to drive and a practical classic car making limited editions such as this highly desirable. Consigned by Dominic Lake. RARE MODEL10 SERVICE STAMPS

The Arnage T laid claim to the title of world's fastest saloon in 2002, propelling the driver, in total luxury to a top speed of 170mph. Powered by a 6.75 litre twin turbo version of the Rolls-Royce, V8 engine, the nearly three-ton car could accelerate from 0-60mph in just 5.5 seconds. The engine was treated to what Bentley described as 'the most thorough re-engineering of its life’ producing 451bhp and 645lb/ft of torque. Other changes included the adoption of a 'drive-by-wire' throttle to go hand-in-glove with Bosch's Electronic Stability Program which replaced the Red Label's traction control, but what really gives this nearly three-ton car its immense poise is a revised suspension that features 57% more roll stiffness than the Red Label. The car's basic structure is also 10% stiffer which means there are no creaks and squeaks of the sort that distinguished previous generations of Bentleys.Supplied by Jack Barclay and originally registered on 31st March 2003 this beautiful Arnage T is finished in the delightful colour combination of Fountain Blue with quilted Nautic Blue interior. We are advised this example drives very well with no known faults. The performance of an Arnage T has to be experienced to be appreciated, for a vehicle weighing some 2.5 tons, the power of the 6.750 litre V8 engine is impressive by any standards. The cockpit area of a Bentley has to be experienced to be appreciated. With ample leather and walnut in abundance, this example being the sportier T model has engine turned aluminium on the dashboard. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a full years MoT test certificate and a history folder. This 1979 Volkswagen Type 2 panel van was converted in 2018 by Public Enemy Customs Ltd into a bespoke events bar. An extensive remodelling was carried out which included the following works; fabricated and electrically operated opening roof, mechanical overhaul of the brakes and engine, fitting of a stainless steel sink/ice well, feature internal lighting, refrigerated drinks cooler, folding bar top, wired 240volt sockets with dimmable lighting, wood flooring, recovered seats and doorcards and a full respray into the striking colour you see today. Its registered name of ‘Fizzy Flutes’ will pass on to the new owner and it comes with its own trailer. The van does run and can be driven on the road although there is no current mot. What a great way to start a business. Please be aware that this vehicle was a Category D insurance write off but we are informed that this was prior to the van being converted and has since been insured for road use and has been used on the road therefore insured as such. The Z3 was the first modern mass-market roadster produced by BMW as well as the first new BMW model to be assembled in the United States. It was introduced as a 1996 model year vehicle, shortly after being featured in the James Bond movie 'GoldenEye'. While the film was number one at the box office, sales of the car peaked and it was sold out by the time the car was launched. The Z3 was designed by Joji Nagashima of the BMW design team and developed from the E36 platform of the 3-Series. The resulting platform is often referred to as the E36/7(roadster) or E36/8(coupé). When launched, only the 1.9 litre straight-four engine was offered, but its 138bhp was not up to expectations. A 2.2 litre engine producing 168bhp was made available for the more enthusiastic driver and in 1997 a powerful six cylinder 2.8-litre engine producing 190bhp was an option, or a 3.0-litre straight-six with 228bhp.Imported from Japan in 2020 this 2002 example of the BMW Z3 is presented in black with black matching trim boasting just 56,000 kilometres from new. A 2.2 litre example is MoT’d until November 2024 we are told it runs very well indeed. The BMW E12 is the first-generation of the 5 Series executive cars, which was produced from 1972 to 1981 and replaced the saloon models of the BMW New Class range. Initial models were powered by inline-four engines, using either a carburettor or fuel-injection. A year after launch, the first model powered by a straight-six engine was introduced. By the final years of E12 production, most models used a straight-six engine. The E12 was replaced by the E28 5 Series in 1981, although the tools were sent to South Africa where E12 assembly continued until 1984.Presented in yellow with beige interior trim this example was first registered on 27th February 1979. Imported from South Africa our vendor has fitted a Webber twin choke and had the car tuned by DB Engineering in Newington. The car comes with its original twin Solex carbs and airbox. The Jaguar MK. IV was a re-launch of a pre-Second World War model made by SS Cars Ltd. from 1936. Before the war, the name Jaguar was the model name given to the complete range of cars built by SS Cars Ltd. The saloons were titled SS Jaguar 1½ litre, 2½ litre or 3½ litre. After the war, the company name was changed to Jaguar Cars Ltd. All the cars were built on a separate chassis frame with suspension by semi-elliptic leaf springs on the front and rear. Pre-war, the car was available as a saloon or drophead coupé, although post war only the saloon was produced. Prior to 1938, body construction on all the models was by the traditional steel on wood method but in that year it changed to all steel. The cabin dimensions and well-appointed interior were very similar to its larger-engined brothers. This Jaguar was originally supplied by Richies Garage, Glasgow in November 1939. It was purchased by the current vendor in 2019, he has had significant amounts of work done on the car, improving performance and reliability. In 2020 the car was completely rewired, a CD is available showing the extent of the work. The auto electrician very sensibly has supplied an additional wiring diagram showing the position of relays etc. The trafficators and side lights flash in sequence and the wiper motor has been rebuilt. An electric fuel pump has been fitted for additional reliability. In 2022 the head gasket was replaced and the manual four-speed gearbox was rebuilt. In 2023 the bottom of the doors were restored and the boot was re-upholstered, with photographic evidence available. The 1701cc engine runs very well and we are advised this Jaguar SS (1½ Litre) drives with no known faults. The black and grey paintwork is in good order as is the chromework. The interior is original with a delightful patina which adds to the charm of this delightful Jaguar. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a collection of invoices, together with an original instruction book and a workshop manual. Launched at the 1961 Geneva Motor Show, the Jaguar E-Type was nothing short of a revelation. With its heady blend of supercar performance, breathtaking styling and low-price tag, the newcomer left rivals reeling and customers clamouring. Early sportscar racing success at the hands of Graham Hill and Roy Salvadori amongst others helped cement its reputation. Built as a monocoque with a front subframe to cradle the engine, the model's combination of all-round independent suspension, rack and pinion steering and four-wheel disc brakes gave it excellent road holding and handling capabilities. The Jaguar E-Type Series I 2+2 was designed to be a more practical version of the legendary E-Type, with a longer wheelbase and additional interior space. It was produced from 1966 to 1967, and it featured a 4.2 litre inline six-cylinder engine that produced 265 horsepower. One of the most notable features of the Jaguar E-Type Series I 2+2 is its sleek and timeless design. This matching numbers example was originally supplied by the Hillsborough garage, Sheffield in June 1966. This manual version of the classic sports car presents in its original colour combination of Opalescent Maroon with a beige interior and is fitted with a Webasto sunroof. In a recent video, which can be viewed online at Historics.co.uk, the engine of this project Jaguar can be seen running smoothly. Several of the parts required to complete this car are supplied as is a comprehensive file of receipts, a Jaguar Heritage Certificate and a V5C registration certificate. The Ford Thunderbird (‘T-Bird’) began life in February 1953 in direct response to Chevrolet's new sports car, the Corvette, which was publicly unveiled in prototype form just a month before. Under rapid development, the Thunderbird went from drawing board to prototype in about a year, being unveiled to the public at the Detroit Auto Show on 20th February 1954. It was manufactured by Ford in the United States over eleven model generations from 1955 through to 2005. The second to fourth generation Thunderbird convertibles were similar in design to the Lincoln convertible of the time and borrowed from earlier Ford hardtop/convertible designs. While these Thunderbird models had a true convertible soft top, the top was lowered to stow in the boot area, considerably reducing available boot space when the top was down. The overall appearance was a sleek look with no trace of a convertible top at all. This lovely and rare example is presented in black coachwork was originally owned and driven by a lady in Las Vegas, purchasing the car in Cleveland, Ohio in 1957, she retained the car until her passing in 1999. In 2000 the car passed to her daughter in Phoenix where it was stored until 2003 with 65,000 miles declared as original. The new owner then in 2004-2006 treated the car to a body off restoration by Cobbler’s Shop in Apache Junction, AZ. We are informed every nut and bolt were new, old stock restored or replaced with the engine and a-matic transmission fully overhauled. A few additions were made, a mustang A/C heating system was installed, electronic ignition, new front disc brakes and new glass. Even the iconic port hole hardtop was completely restored. Appraised at the time as a 99+ point car, it was valued in excess of $75,000 before being purchased by our vendors husband who imported the car to the UK in 2007.A car rightfully cherished and known on the American car scene, it was as restored to a 99 point car for some time but upon the vendor’s husband falling ill the car had to be put into storage where it remained for a number of years until of late. Since his passing his wife has decided the time has come to part with 422 UXU and thus had it recommissioned, fully valeted and detailed in an effort to recapture some of its stunning condition. Naturally this is not quite the 99 point car it was over a decade ago but it is still achingly gorgeous, a very desirable ‘57 car that would grace any American car show and turn heads wherever it goes.Supplied with the UK V5, believed to be a four owner car with written history in the file, MoT from when imported, now exempt of course, parts catalogue, Thunderbird handbook, CD’s of the car and professional photoshoots from the late 2000’s. The second-generation Audi S3 is powered by a modified and uprated Volkswagen Group-sourced 2.0L Turbocharged FSI petrol engine, with a maximum output of 265 bhp. As with all Audi S models, the design was done in-house by Quattro GmbH. Based on the fifth-generation S197 Ford Mustang, the Shelby GT500 was developed by Ford’s Special Vehicles Team (SVT) and designed around Ford’s 5.8L supercharged Trinity V8 engine generating up to 662 HP. This made it the most powerful production Mustang available at the time, and the first Mustang to have a top speed of over 200 MPH. Equipped with desirable factory options like the SVT Track Package and the Electronics package. It allows the GT500 to reach 60 MPH from a standstill in as little as 3.5 seconds and on to a claimed top speed of 202 MPH. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential. The GT500 receives a host of upgrades over a standard 8-cylinder Mustang including re-tuned springs, a larger front sway bar, a three-row intercooler, twin fuel pumps, larger fuel injectors, a larger heavy-duty clutch, a reinforced transmission with an internal oil pump, a single-piece carbon-fiber driveshaft, and larger 15” six-piston Brembo brakes. The optional Track Package also equips a nose-mounted differential cooler, a transmission cooler, and an air-to-oil engine oil cooler. This fine example is presented in black with the distinctive red stripe running from front to back and has a black electric retractable hood. Its mighty 5.9 lite V8 is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Its black leather interior has red stripes running through the middle of the seats in keeping with its striking exterior and the snake symbol is ever present on the steering wheel and the front seats, confirming that there is no mistake that this is the one of the greatest Mustangs ever made. The 996 version of the iconic 911 is a superb car; quick and reliable with a wide range of models on offer, the most iconic is, of course, the Turbo. Featuring four-wheel drive and a 3.6 litre, intercooled engine derived from the 1998 Le Mans winning GT-1 car pushing out 420bhp and hitting 60mph in a whisker over four seconds, this is genuine supercar territory. The 996 was seen as a more relaxed and usable 911; however, in Turbo guise, the driver would get the best of both worlds; a luxury leather interior with every creature comfort combined with the ability to drop the hammer and reach a top speed of a claimed 190mph.The popularity of this classic model remains undiminished. The usability of the model often results in lower mileage models becoming quite the find for any collector or enthusiast. With just a little over 57,000 miles, this example is immaculately presented in metallic silver with black leather trim and has clearly had a pampered life and kept in a heated garage. The paintwork is in good order and the leather is in beautiful condition and features Porsche embossed headrests. We are informed that all electrics operate as they should and the gear-change through the five-speed Tiptronic gearbox is smooth. This well-equipped example is fitted with a Porsche aero kit with a standard turbo front lip, a Bose stereo system featuring a multi-CD changer, a sunroof and cruise control. The service book is well stamped with most of the work including the most recent years Servicing having been undertaken by a Porsche main dealer. The history is further supported by a file of invoices. There is a fresh MOT test certificate with no advisories. Recent maintenance carried out at Porsche main dealer include, new A/C condensers and system re-gas, new turbo heat shields, new oil pressure switch and new rear tyres. This is a superb example of an ever popular 911 in such fabulous condition that viewing is highly recommended especially with its very attractive estimate. The Ford Escort RS Cosworth was released in 1992 just as the Sierra Sapphire 4X4 Cosworth production was ending. The radical styling that included flared arches and the unmissable whale tail rear spoiler, displayed only a small part of the potential however, that potential was fulfilled by the fitment of the Cosworth fettled power unit that lay under the bonnet. Production commenced in February 1992 with the first 2,500 being homologation specials. The Cosworth was entered into the World Rally Championship the following year, enjoying outstanding success in the hands of works drivers François Delecour and Miki Biasion. Although the RS Cosworth resembled the Escort road car, it was in fact based on a shortened Sierra 4x4 floor pan and used the latter's running gear. This meant that, unlike the mainstream Mk. V Escort, the RS Cosworth mounted its engine fore-and-aft rather than transversely, it also used the Sierra 4x4's five-speed manual transmission which featured permanent four-wheel drive that split the power 34/66 front/rear. In road trim, the RS Cosworth produced 227bhp and with that horsepower in a nimble, compact car, performance was outstanding. The end came too early for many enthusiasts with production ceasing in January 1996. Only 7,145 cars were produced over a four-year period. The example we have here is something of a unicorn, being offered to sale by its original owner, who has cherished the car as part of his Ford collection for the past 28 years. The car has covered a mere 17,450 miles, which we are told were almost always fair weather miles and it has truly been a prized possession since day one. Our vendor is a very long standing member of the RS Owner’s Club and was known to be so fastidious, that the supplying Ford dealer welcomed him to inspect the car as soon as it was unloaded from the delivery truck; he has even retained the pre-PDI factory stickers and they are included in the history file. The car still wears many factory stickers and labels which have so often been lost over time, a testament to how well the car has been cared for. This Cosworth has always been meticulously cared for by the vendor, with all of the facilities and knowledge to ensure it was always in fine fettle, he always preferred to take care of everything himself, instead of leaving it at garages who may not take enough care and attention of the car. The Diamond White paintwork gleams and we are informed it is all original and the black leather interior is about as good as anyone could hope for. The car is fitted with 18” OZ wheels and slightly lowered suspension but is otherwise completely un-modified. To aid with security, the car is fitted with a Clifford alarm and a tracker. The car is supplied to auction with a V5C registration document, MoT test certificate valid until June 2025, factory pre-PDI stickers, various sundry bills and a set of original wheels are also available. The Porsche 991 is the internal designation for the seventh generation of the Porsche 911, unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show on 15th September as the replacement for the 997. The 991 was an entirely new platform, only the third since the original 911 launched in 1963 (the 996 of 1999 was the second new platform). Introduced in 2012, the 991 Turbo has a twin turbocharged 3.8 litre flat-six engine generating 513bhp and 457lb ft of torque with all-wheel drive. The Turbo comes as standard with Porsche's PDK dual clutch transmission and is the first Turbo model not to feature a manual transmission. The car was faster and lighter thanks to greater use of aluminium, but also more comfortable than ever before. The Turbo S in particular is the pinnacle of the 911 range, offering the best balance of comfort and performance before moving towards track orientated models such as the GT3 and GT3 RS.Our vendor purchased this car in 2016, as a pre-registered car, meaning he has been its only private owner from new, the first being the main dealer who registered it. Being a Turbo S, the car is particularly highly optioned, with carbon ceramic brakes, sunroof, sport chrono and Bose sound system. The car has been used sparingly over the past nine years, having covered an average of only just over 2,000 miles per year. The overall condition of the car is as would be expected of such a low mileage example, the white bodywork gleams and the black interior is in absolutely superb order. The diamond cut centrelock wheels are in extremely good condition too. The car has always been maintained by Porsche main agents and other than routine maintenance, has never required any series attention. The XK8 was launched in 1996 to replace the XJ-S. Two body styles were produced, a coupé and a convertible and the car was the first in the Jaguar line-up to use Jaguar's newly developed V8 engine. In 2000, the supercharged XKR was added to the range. This produced a staggering 503 horsepower, a subtle rear spoiler, wire mesh front grille and red exterior emblems were identifying features. The XKR's engine was made in England, the ignition system was from NGK in Japan, the transmission was a Mercedes-Benz 722.6, the lighting system was by Valeo in France and the supercharger was made by Eaton in the USA, it was truly a world car. The redesigned XK was styled by Jaguar's chief designer Ian Callum. The standard XK model has a limited top speed of 158mph whilst the XKR had a limited top speed of 174mph.Our vendor purchased this XKR brand new in 2007 and has remained its sole private keeper since then, using the car very infrequently and cherishing the car for the past 17 years. The Ford Escort Mk. II RS2000, was produced from 1975 to 1980, and is a legendary rally car that has become an icon in motorsport history. Renowned for its performance and handling, the RS2000 was powered by a 2.0-litre engine, generating around 115 bhp and allowing for impressive acceleration and agility on both roads and rally stages. Its distinctive styling makes it a standout model in the Escort lineup and a firm favourite for Ford collectors. Weighing in at just over 900 kg, the Mk. II RS2000 benefitted from a lightweight construction, paired with a sport-tuned suspension that enhanced its cornering ability. The car enjoyed considerable success in motorsport, contributing to Ford's dominance in rallying during the late '70s.Here we have a stunning Ford Escort Mk. II RS2000, which was imported from Finland in 2015 after undergoing a restoration to an excellent standard. This eye-catching example is presented in a vibrant orange, transformed into a tribute to Mario Ketterer's Jaegermeister liveried race car. The Volkswagen Beetle has been most commonly used as the basis for the beach buggy, though conversions were made from other rear-engined cars. The Beetle platform chassis was used because the rear engine layout improves traction, the air-cooled engine avoids the complexities and failure points associated with a water-cooled engine, the Beetle's front torsion bar suspension was not only considered cheap and robust, but it was also extremely easy to alter and adjust its ride-height. While early dune buggy conversions were left with no body, or featured custom bodies, fibreglass bodies, developed in the 1960s, have become the standard image of the modern buggy, and come in many shapes and sizes. This fabulous short wheelbase Volkswagen JAS Beach Buggy by JAS is presented in purple with contrasting black trim. The Virage was Aston Martin's replacement for the decades old V8 models and was introduced at the Birmingham Motor Show in 1988. This V8 powered car was intended as the company's top model with their six-cylinder, 1994 DB7 slotted below it but this V8 model (by then in Vantage form) remained the exclusive, expensive and handbuilt king of Astons. The Virage was a large, heavy car despite its all aluminium body but the 32 valve, 5.3 litre V8 engines elevated its performance to sports car levels. ‘Acceleration just never seems to run out’, claimed Sports Car International on a first test. They also praised the ‘eager and quicker revving’ nature of the engine with its Callaway-designed heads and Weber Marelli fuel injection. ‘Nothing sounds quite like an Aston V8’, they concluded. This Virage was purchased by our vendor in 2020 to join their collection and has since been used only occasionally, the car is now offered for sale due to a house move overseas. The car was previously owned by a fastidious collector for 16 years, who always maintained it to the highest possible standard and it is presented in British Racing Green with a contrasting cream leather interior and green piping with all leather dashboard and cream suede headlining. The paintwork has a good shine, with a few age-related marks, a small area of oxidization is present on top of the near side front wing, though it is only around 3cm long and a few stone chips and cracks are present along the front splitter.Contained within the history file is photographic history showing both side sills have been replaced and £3,700 spent on new 18” alloy wheels in 2017. Boasting an upgraded stainless steel sports exhaust system and uprated adjustable suspension, which provides anti-dive/improved road handling, we are informed this car now drives and handles much better than a standard car. During the previous owner’s tenure, the interior was completely removed, including the seats, door cards and carpets and the leather was stripped and repaired. The result is a superb interior with soft supple leather seats. Also present in the comprehensive history file are invoices for over £40,000 spent on updating and careful maintenance coupled to an MoT test certificate valid until November 2024. These British bulldog sports cars still have the performance many modern sports cars can only dream of and the looks many wish they had! Porsche began experimenting with turbocharging technology on their racing cars during the late 1960s and, in 1972, began development on a turbocharged version of the 911. They originally needed to produce the car in order to comply with homologation regulations and had intended on marketing it as a street legal racer like the 1973 Carrera 2.7 RS. Ernst Fuhrmann adapted the turbo technology, originally developed for the 917/30 CAN-AM car, to the 3.0 litre flat six from the Carrera RS 3.0, creating what Porsche internally dubbed as a '930'. The Turbo’s characteristic flared wheel arches and ‘tea-tray’ rear spoiler had already been seen on the Carrera model, while the interior was the most luxurious ever seen in a 911, featuring leather upholstery, air conditioning and electric windows. In 1978, the Turbo’s engine was enlarged to 3.3 litres, gaining an intercooler in the process; power increased to 300bhp and the top speed, of what was the fastest accelerating road car of its day, went up to 160mph. More refined than hitherto, yet retaining its high performance edge, the Porsche 930 Turbo sold in the thousands, arguably becoming the definitive sports car of its era. This absolutely superb right hand drive example is presented in black coachwork over a black leather interior and includes the rare and expensive factory option of Fuhrmann seats! Showing a mere 51,101 miles on the odometer, this Porsche is presented in excellent condition having recently been treated to over £25,000 of work over the last two and half years. Works include an extensive body respray, a full brake overhaul including new brake discs and pads, new Bilstein shock absorbers all round, and four new Pirelli tyres. The heater was also refurbished including cables, clamps, guide tubes, and all hardware. A new fuel system including a new tank, fuel lines, and fuel pumps were also fitted. A new Blaupunkt Bremen radio and new front speakers were fitted, along with the wheels being completely refurbished to the factory anodised finish you see today. A major service was completed at this time and the vendor reports that the 911 is in excellent running and driving condition, the engine sounds fantastic and the four-speed gearbox works well. The history file that accompanies the car includes all relevant service books, manuals and its original toolkit, which is rare with models of this era. Many sundry bills are also included along with invoices relating to the recent major works, its Porsche certificate of authenticity, and the UK registration document. This These Turbo models offer exhilarating performance from their 3.3 litre engines, outperforming many modern sports cars today. They are highly sought after and are certainly on the bucket list for many collectors. Bruce Meyers is quoted as saying, “I'm an artist and I wanted to bring a sense of movement and gesture to the Manx. Dune buggies have a message: fun. They’re playful to drive and should look like it. Nothing did at the time.” Sure enough, using a basic VW chassis and engine, this radical design concept proved an instant hit both in the US and then, later, in Europe.Whilst this example is certainly not an original Bruce Myers example, the is still plenty of the fun-factor to go around! This striking example, in fluorescent orange with Oakley-accents and contrasting black vinyl seating, benefits from good quality tyres all round with particularly high-grip Kelly Safari R-T rear items. There is a full roll cage to protect both front and rear occupants to include belted & padded rear seats and racing-style front bucket seats. In has an 8-ball as a gearstick handle, a leather-bound Mountney GT steering wheel and the speedo itself is centrally mounted. In the interests of weather protection, there is a vinyl roof which can be pulled over to get you home. Bought on a whim by the vendor, it has been used sparingly but will benefit from a new MoT test certificate and a light fluid service prior to the auction. The 1.5 litre engine is reported to start and drive well and should provide many grins-per-mile for the new owner! Consigned by Dominic Lake. FOUR SEAT EXAMPLEREPORTED TO RUN WELL
The Ford Capri 2.8 Injection was launched in 1981, and is the quintessential attainable sports coupé for the masses in the 1980’s. As part of the second-generation Capri lineup, the 2.8 Injection is powered by a 2.8-litre V6 engine, producing around 160bhp, allowing it to deliver thrilling performance. This model features a distinctive, sporty silhouette, characterized by its long hood and fastback design. Notably, the 2.8 Injection was equipped with advanced features for its time, including fuel injection for improved efficiency and power delivery, along with upgraded suspension for enhanced handling. As a beloved classic, the Ford Capri 2.8 Injection has garnered a dedicated following among enthusiasts and collectors, celebrated for its blend of style, performance, and nostalgia, symbolizing an era of affordable sports cars in the UK.This particular example presents well with attractive black paintwork and grey half leather Recaro interior. Designed by Giovanni Michelotti, famed for the creation of many Italian exotics including Ferrari’s and Maserati’s. The styling of the car was met with great reviews. Triumph decided to revisit the GT4 idea and in replacing the under-powered Spitfire 4 engine with the more powerful Triumph Vitesse two-litre, six-cylinder engine, the GT6 was born and production of the Mk. I GT6 commenced in July 1966. During the course of the next four years, the GT6 received a number of styling changes and mechanical developments, dramatically improving the handling and in October 1970 the GT6 Mk. III was introduced with a total of 13,042 units being built before the end of production in December 1973.The example we have here is an original home market example, which was first registered in January 1972 but built in October 1971. The car was fitted with the desirable factory overdrive and also features a full length Webasto sunroof. This GT6 has been the subject of an extensive restoration, which was completed in November 2023 and presents in excellent order today. We know that the car underwent some restoration in the early 1980’s, as well as a further respray sometime in the 1990’s. A mechanic purchased the car in 2003 and quickly set about a thorough mechanical overhaul, as well as attending to some structural work, many photos of the work are included in the history file.In more recent years, the bodywork has received a great deal of attention, with a full colour change back to its original white colour and a vast amount of metal work carried out. An interior restoration has also been carried out, with a full re-upholster, new headlining, new sunroof, door cards, carpets, a new dashboard and wood trim. This GT6 is supplied to auction with a V5C registration document, MoT test certificate, comprehensive history file, USB stick containing many photos of the restoration works and British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate. Launched in the final days of 2001, the Audi A4 Cabriolet was a massive technical stride ahead of its predecessor. It was also good enough to be considered a model in its own right, sharing not one body panel with the Audi A4 saloon. Rarely has a car undergone quite such an image transformation over the course of one generation as Audi's A4 Cabriolet. Whereas its predecessor was regarded as a rather outdated if elegant cruiser, the post 2001 model is right up with the best as far as four seat convertibles go. With a far stiffer chassis than the old car ever got and better engines to boot, the A4 Cabriolet offers those looking for a genuinely dynamic drive a number of options. The choice of quattro all-wheel drive transmission and a quality diesel engine differentiated Audi's offering while ensuring that new cars sold well and used examples command strong residuals. This example is presented in yellow (according to the HPI but looks more Gold in the flesh) with black leather interior and its lively 1800cc engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. It has a black electric retractable hood which functions correctly. It comes with electric windows and some history showing various old invoices and MoT test certificate which expires in June 2025. The Mini was manufactured by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors from 1959 until 2000. The original Mini is considered a British icon of the 1960s and its space-saving front wheel drive layout that allowed 80% of the area of the car's floorpan to be used for passengers and luggage influenced a generation of car makers. In 1999, the Mini was voted the second most influential car of the 20th century behind the Ford Model T. This distinctive two-door car was designed by Sir Alec Issigonis and was manufactured at the Longbridge and Cowley plants. The Mini Mk. I had three major UK updates; the Mk. II, the Clubman and the Mk. III. Within these were a series of variations including an estate car, a pick-up and a van. The Mini Cooper and Cooper 'S' were sportier versions that were successful as rally cars, winning the Monte Carlo Rally four times from 1964 through to 1967. Initially Minis were marketed under the Austin and Morris names, as the Austin Seven and Morris Mini Minor until Mini became a marque in its own right in 1969.Originally registered on 18th January 1989 this 998cc Mini Mayfair is a good example and is owned by a Mini enthusiast. The vendor has recently had a new clutch slave cylinder fitted by G W Motor Company in Taplow, Berks. Although the Triumph Dolomite range, introduced in 1972, had proved to be refined and sporty, competitors such as BMW's 2002 had a performance advantage which was costing Triumph dearly, both in terms of sales and prestige. To remedy this, they unveiled the Dolomite Sprint in June 1973, although the launch had been delayed by a year, having been due to go on sale in 1972 alongside the main range. A team of engineers, led by Spen King, developed a 16-valve, single overhead camshaft head. The capacity was increased to 1998cc and combined with bigger carbs the output was upped to 127 bhp. This represented a significant increase over the smaller 1850cc variant, however, it fell frustratingly short of the original target of 135 bhp. As a result of this new engine, the Dolomite Sprint has a claim to be the world's first truly mass-produced multi-valve car and the design of the cylinder head won a British Design Council Award in 1974. Performance was excellent, with 0-60 mph taking around 8.4 seconds and a maximum speed of 119 mph. This absolutely superb Triumph Dolomite Sprint, presented in bright yellow is believed to have only driven 3,725 miles from new and is being offered in immaculate condition, following a documented restoration. Its original 1998cc has been professionally rebuilt and with its Weber carburettors, makes 165bhp in road form (it has a separate set of jets for the track, raising power to 188bhp) and it has a competition clutch fitted. The original SU carburettors have been fully rebuilt and come with the car. The original gearbox and overdrive are fitted as are the "diamond cut" alloy wheels. Internally, the copious woodwork has been re-veneered in matching teak and the headlining has been replaced. The rest of the interior, including seats and carpets are original. This is probably one of the best examples of this iconic 1970s saloon, with ‘ a bit of grunt ‘ available today. The history of the Lotus Cortina began in 1961 after Colin Chapman decided he wanted to build his own engines for Lotus. His chance came when he commissioned Harry Mundy to design a twin-cam version of the Ford Kent engine. The engine's first appearance was in 1962 at the Nürburgring in a Lotus 23 driven by Jim Clark. Immediately after and almost as soon as the engine appeared in the Lotus Elan, it was recalled and replaced with a larger capacity unit to get the car closer to the 1.6 litre capacity class in motorsport. Ford wanted to change a few things for the Mk. II; the Mk. I had done everything and more than they could expect in competition, but the public linked its competition wins with Lotus and its bad points with Ford. Ford still wanted to build a Mk. II Lotus and compete with it, but Lotus were moving from Cheshunt to Hethel so it was a bad time for them to build another model. So a decision was made at Ford that to continue with its competition drive and make the car more cost effective, they would make the car at Dagenham themselves alongside the other Cortinas. The Mk. II took a while to appear, first appearing in 1967. The main difference was the choice of colours and the lack of a stripe; the only cosmetic changes made were a black front grille, 5.5J x 13 steel wheels and Lotus badges on rear wings and by the rear number plate. The badge on the front grille was an option at first. The Mk. II Lotus Cortinas also gained an improved and more powerful 109bhp engine, the gearbox ratios remained 2000E ones but the car now used the Mk. II GT remote-control gearchange. The car also had a different final drive of 3.77:1 rather than 3.9:1. Another attraction was the larger fuel tank, the spare wheel could now be mounted in its wheel well and the battery remained in the boot to aid weight distribution. This Lotus Cortina was originally supplied by The Garage (Barnsley) Ltd and was first registered on 12th January 1968. It was restored a number of years ago and is still in good all-round condition today. The vendor during his stewardship has replaced the wheels and tyres and has enjoyed fettling the car. The engine runs well and the gearbox operates as it should. The Ermine White paintwork is in good condition as is the black trim. This example has the more comfortable bucket seats fitted, whilst retaining the correct material. An alternator has been fitted for improved charging and reliability. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a very good history file with invoices dating back to 1974. The mileage of 60,302 could well be correct, although this is not warranted. Like the Triumph 2000 it was developed from, the Triumph Stag it was styled by Italian maestro Giovanni Michelotti and featured the monocoque construction, independent suspension, disc/drum brakes, power-assisted rack and the pinion steering and driveline of that saloon. All Stags were four-seater convertible coupés but for structural rigidity and to meet new American rollover standards at the time, the Stag required a B-pillar 'roll bar' hoop connected to the windscreen frame by a T-bar. The power plant though, was an all-new OHC, V8 of 3000cc capacity fed by a pair of Stromberg carburettors and the newcomer received a warm reception at the time of launch in 1970, although longevity of the engine proved to be a problem. Most Stags were fitted with a Borg Warner automatic gearbox together with electric windows, power steering and power-assisted brakes fitted as standard. Very desirable, the Stag is well supported through various clubs and specialist suppliers. This wonderful privately owned example was first registered on 23rd June 1976, presented in Tahiti Blue with black interior which reflects the very low mileage for this example with very good woodwork and manual gearbox. An ultra-luxury saloon produced for the Japanese market, the Century’s appearance is iconic in Asian countries, serving as Toyota's flagship car within Japan. The Century derived its name from the 100th birthday of Sakichi Toyoda the founder of Toyota Industries. It is often used by the Imperial House of Japan, the Prime Minister of Japan, senior Japanese government leaders and high-level executive businessmen. The Century is comparable in purpose to the Cadillac Series 70, Mercedes-Benz 600 Series, Maybach, BMW Goldfisch, Bentley, Chinese Red Flag, Rolls-Royce, and Russian ZIS/ZIL limousines. While the Century is a premium, full-size luxury saloon, it is not available at Japanese Lexus dealerships; it can only be purchased at specifically identified Toyota Store locations. The exterior styling of the Century has, with some modifications, remained unchanged since its introduction, primarily due to its perception as denoting conservative success. This stunning example of the rare and desirable Century was first imported in August 2020 by a Toyota enthusiast and club member. The Triumph TR6 was manufactured for seven years, starting in 1969, and by the time production came to an end in July 1976, it was the best-seller of the TR range. The bodywork closely resembled that of the previous model, the Triumph TR5, but the front and rear were squared off and all TR6s featured inline six-cylinder engines. For the US market, the engine was fitted with carburettors whilst, for other world markets including the UK, the TR6 was fitted with fuel-injection. It featured a four-speed manual gearbox, independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, 15" wheels and tyres, pile carpet on the floors and boot, bucket seats and a full complement of instruments. In total, 94,619 TR6s were built of which 86,249 were sold overseas and only 8,370 were sold in the UK.The car we have here is beautifully presented in Sapphire blue with a black interior and a new navy blue mohair hood, which was recently fitted. The most recent owner of the car purchased it in 2001, keeping it in his possession for 23 years, six of which the car resided with him in Guernsey, returning to the UK mainland in 2020. Whilst in Guernsey, the body was removed and extensive chassis works were undertaken, photos of which are included in the history file. Despite being a later ‘CR’ example, this TR6 is fitted with an earlier and more sought after 150bhp ‘CP’ engine, a very welcome addition. The MGB was first introduced in May 1962 as a direct replacement for the MGA. Ken Costello saw the possibility of fitting the larger aluminium 3528cc Rover P5B engine into the MG B GT having been sure that the handling and braking could be made to match the much improved performance; not that it needed significant changes as the V8 weighed in at around 40 pounds lighter than the four-cylinder iron blocked engine it replaced. Space was not a problem as the car had originally been designed for fitment of a V4 that was never produced. It was not until two years after the first Costello car that MG decided to follow suit. It was 1973 and the fuel crisis loomed; with British Leyland not wanting competition for the V8 engined Triumph Stag, prices of the MGB GT V8 were set high. Production ceased in 1976 with 2,591 units having been manufactured.First registered on 2nd February 1973, this pre-production MG B GT V8 was originally registered as a Police car, British Leyland sent these MG’s to selected Police forces for operational evaluation and the MG B V8’s remained in production until 1976, the model never offered for sale in the US. This example was subject to a major restoration between 2009-2013 which included a bare metal respray and major mechanical items, invoices totalling some £23,000 which can be found in the file. Launched in 1998, the Arnage was manufactured in Crewe from 1998 to 2009 with its Rolls-Royce sibling, the Silver Seraph, introduced in the Spring of 1998. They were the first entirely new designs for the two marques since 1980 when the Silver Spirit and Mulsanne models were introduced. The new Arnage (Green Label) was to be powered by a BMW V8 engine with Cosworth-engineered, twin-turbo chargers and the Seraph was to employ a BMW V12 engine. The Arnage Red Label was launched in October 1999 with the engine reverting back to Bentley power using the traditional V8 engine and a displacement of 6750cc. Following the international success of the 924, a more powerful Porsche designed all-alloy, 2.5 litre, inline four engine was introduced in 1982 for the 944. Porsche engineers were able to produce a very smooth-running engine by utilising two counter-rotating balance shafts running at twice engine speed making the four-cylinder engine feel as smooth as a six. Cosmetically, the bodywork was revised with wider wheel arches, a fresh interior and upgrades to the braking and suspension systems also being added. The Turbo was a far superior car to the normally aspirated models. From 1989-1991 the 'SE' specification was adopted for the standard 944 Turbo, with the 1991 cars running a more attractive fibreglass spoiler. This lovely Porsche 944 Turbo has effectively had two owners from new, purchased in 1991 by the Lambert Fenchurch Group for the sole use of Mr. D H Griffiths. He liked the car so much that he acquired the car from the company in 1998. From 2002 it has been fully maintained by marque specialists Chelsea Carrera based in High Wycombe and if the car required any work, it was carried out regardless of cost. Within the last five years it has been refurbished cosmetically; all the glass was removed, the car prepared and repainted in the original colour of Baltic blue metallic. The interior retrimmed in the correct blue materials supplied by Southbound Trimmers and the wheels refurbished. It has also received a major service and had the cam belts replaced. The current owner purchased the car a couple of years ago with the view to using it at club events but due to unforeseen circumstances he found he was not using it, in fact he has covered less than 1000 miles in the car. This 944 Turbo is supplied with a V5 registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in June 2025 and a file containing invoices from 2002, totalling over £30,000, a letter about the transfer of the car and a number of old MoT certificates. The original V8 Vantage was a legendary old brute, and we’re all familiar with Bond driving one into a barn in The Living Daylights. The X-Pack took things to another level, although it did away with the deployable skis, missiles and jet engine as seen on the Bond car. Built between 1986 and 89, the X-Pack introduced a raft of updates over the base V8 Vantage including four dual-barrel Weber carburettors, Nimrod racing-type heads, larger valves and high compression pistons from Cosworth. This upped the 5.3-litre V8’s output to 432hp, not far off what supercars of the day were capable of. Telling the X-Pack apart from the regular Vantages is easy, too, looking as though it could deck you just for staring at it. Flared wheel arches give it a particularly muscular look, along with a, er, sizeable power bulge on the bonnet and a far deeper front bumper that acted as an air dam. Probably the most recognisable X-Pack feature is the blanked-out grille (not entirely sure how that helps with cooling) but some cars were specced with a more conventional mesh finish. Blanking plate or not, the X-Pack is an exceptionally rare variant of a car built in the hundreds. This fabulous and extremely rare example is allegedly one of only two right hand drive examples produced in Litchfield Black with black leather interior and walnut trim inlays. The specification includes air conditioning, electric windows, an analogue dashboard clock, heated rear screen and a lockable glove box. It is accompanied by a service booklet, handbook, a good history documenting maintenance and images of the car whilst in Jay Kay’s ownership. Production numbers vary here and there, but the listing claims that only 95 examples were produced, with this particular car being just one of two finished in Litchfield Black Metallic. The X-Packs were offered with an automatic gearbox, what with it being a massive grand tourer at heart, but this model comes with a manual gearbox. This is one of the greats of British motoring and certainly one of the greatest Aston Martins ever built – rare as hens teeth, brutish good looks and performance to match. This particular example has a great pedigree of ownership, having been in the ownership of one of most prolific private collectors in the UK and this would definitely grace any avid Aston Martin collectors garage or indeed be driven in anger by any who dare! The Ford Sierra RS Cosworth is a performance-oriented version of the Sierra family car produced by Ford Europe in the mid-1980s. The car was developed by Ford's motorsport division, which aimed to create a high-performance vehicle that could compete in rallies and racing. The Sierra RS Cosworth was equipped with a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine that produced 204bhp and 214 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the fastest cars of its time. The exterior of the Sierra RS Cosworth was designed with aerodynamics in mind, featuring a distinctive front grille, a large ‘whaletail’ rear spoiler, and wider wheel arches to accommodate its wider track. Inside, the car was fitted with Recaro bucket seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, as well as a range of gauges and dials to monitor the car's performance. The Sierra RS Cosworth proved to be a successful rally car, winning several championships and races throughout the 1980s and 1990’s.This example presents well in Diamond White, the paint has a good shine, with a few age-related marks on edges of panels and so on, commensurate with its 37 years on the road. The car has been tastefully modified, it has been fitted with adjustable GAZ shock absorbers, which will greatly improve the cars handling and the engine has been breathed upon. It appears as though a bulk of the engine work was carried out around 2007, a slightly larger turbo was fitted along with various other items, a dyno print out suggested the power figure being 360bhp at the time. The interior presents in very reasonable condition overall, with the Recaro seats being free of any major wear. The car is missing a radio, our vendor has struggled to source an original item and didn’t wish to fit an aftermarket unit, so the next custodian will need to fit a stereo of their choosing. This Cosworth has formed part of our vendors Ford collection, but as is so often the case, space requirements mean a few cars must leave to make way for new arrivals. Interested parties should note, the car was recorded as a Category C insurance loss in 2002, when values were far lower than they are today, the car has covered in excess of 20,000 miles since the accident was recorded. The car is supplied to auction with a V5C registration document, a history file detailing many works over the years and it will be presented for an MoT prior to the sale. Consigned by Fraser Smith. The 'RS' badge is well renowned in the world of fast Ford enthusiasts. Originating from Ford’s Motorsport division in the 1960s, the RS actually stood for 'Rallye Sport', and meant that any Ford model special enough to bear its namesake had been designed specifically for rally racing. Due to Ford’s repeated successes in rallying during this era, the RS badge very quickly became synonymous with Motorsport and Performance. The Sierra RS Cosworth was developed as a result of a partnership between Ford and race engine designers Cosworth. The purpose of the project was to create a homologated vehicle to win European Group A racing championships. The engine was to be a 16V, twin-cam based upon Ford’s existing T88 block (commonly known as the Pinto engine). The aim was to develop a turbo-charged unit that would be capable of 300bhp in race trim. Cosworth accepted the task but only on the basis that Ford agreed to purchase 15,000 units of these engines. From there, the road legal and racing engine legend the Sierra RS Cosworth was born. This is an early and very desirable rear wheel drive Sapphire RS Cosworth, beautifully presented in the rarest colour, Crystal Blue. This very eye catching colour was only available for the first eight months of production and makes a very nice change from the more commonly seen white or black examples. The car has been through pretty much a total restoration over the past six years, virtually everything has been restored or rebuilt and it now presents in excellent condition throughout. The car has formed part of our vendors Ford collection and has been something of a labour of love for him, but as is often the case, space requirements mean that a few cars must leave, to make way for new arrivals. One small missing piece of the puzzle of the radio, it has proven quite difficult for our vendor to source an OEM unit, and he didn’t want to cheapen the work he had done by fitting an aftermarket unit, so this will be a job for the next custodian. The car is supplied with a V5C registration document and will be presented for an MoT prior to the sale. This is certainly a Sapphire which would be right at home in any fast Ford collection. The Chairman of Jaguar at the time 'Lofty' England declared that the new V12 luxury saloon was to be baptised the Daimler Double-Six and a legend was born. The Series III, the final derivative of the Daimler Double-Six, arrived in 1979 and like its predecessors benefitted from the clean cut, new body designed by famed Italian design house, Pininfarina. The new design featured more glass, slightly squarer lines around the roof area and up to date front and rear styling. The Series III soldiered on until the early 90’s, outliving the XJ6, the departure of which was delayed by problems installing the engine in the new XJ40 series. This was the flagship car in the Jaguar/Daimler line and was produced until the very end of 1992. It would be hard to imagine news footage of the 1980’s and early 1990’s without a member of the cabinet or the House of Windsor ascending elegantly out of a Double-Six. No other car of that period epitomised brisk luxury travel like a Daimler and in such a truly understated British fashion. This car was not concerned with the pomp and showmanship of a Rolls-Royce, it was a Daimler and it meant business. Imported from Japan and registered in the UK in 2016, this beautiful Series III Double-Six is finished in Catkin metallic with Doeskin leather interior. This model is the most desirable with its smooth 5.3 litre V12 engine providing plenty of power and it comes with power steering, air conditioning, headlamp wash wipe and electric windows throughout. Having covered a mere 79,183km (49,202 miles), this 32 year old Daimler is in time-warp condition. The paintwork is unmarked as is the interior, with the leather showing no signs of wear, the walnut dashboard and door trims are also unblemished. Supplied with a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until 4th April 2025, together with a good collection of invoices from its time in the UK and the Japanese handbooks. Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1993, the Ian Callum styled DB7 began production in 1994 at a new factory in Bloxham, Oxfordshire. In 1999, the new DB7 Vantage with a V12 engine was revealed. In 2002, a new variant was launched, named DB7 GT or DB7 GTA when equipped with an automatic transmission. It was essentially an improved version of the Vantage, its V12 engine producing 435bhp. Aesthetically, compared to the Vantage it has a mesh front grille, vents in the bonnet, a boot spoiler, optional carbon fibre trim and new wheels. It also has 14" front and 13" rear vented disc brakes by Brembo. The original Tremac T56 six-speed manual gearbox was uprated with a short-shift lever, additionally a new 228mm diameter twin-plate AP Racing clutch was fitted instead of the 293mm single-plate original which resulted in a 22% lighter pedal effort, along with a shorter final drive to improve acceleration. Production of the GT was extremely limited with only 85 vehicles manufactured for the UK market. Limited numbers and Ian Callum’s sleek and purposeful design combined to produce a sporting tourer that has bucked the DB7 collecting curve and good examples are now highly desirable. This particular example is a hugely desirable GT, fitted with the manual gearbox, and is surely one of the very best examples out there. The car presents in immaculate order, its black coachwork is gleaming and the black interior is virtually unmarked. The car recently won its class at the Aston Martin Owner’s Club concours event at Sandringham House, which is about enough reassurance of the condition as anyone could possibly ask for. This is an extremely rare car, with only 85 examples built for the UK market, this example is one for the collector, having covered just 23,600 miles. The car has a comprehensive service history and is coming from an owner who is very meticulous and ensures his cars are always kept in top condition. Since 1921, the Bentley name has remained synonymous with prestige, performance and luxury. The 'Continental' designation recalls the Bentley Continental of the post-war period. The 'R' resonates to the R-Type Bentleys from the 1950s as well as the Turbo R of the 1980s. Bentley's 1980s resurgence relied exclusively on models whose basic architecture was shared with other Rolls-Royce models, however, the Bentley Continental R was unique to the Bentley marque. Despite the need to incorporate non-traditional features such as doors recessed into the roof, the result looked every bit a Bentley, albeit one restated for the 1990s. Needless to say, the performance was outstanding, the combination of the Turbo R engine in the new wind-cheating shape cutting the 0-60mph time to under six seconds and boosting a top speed in excess of 150mph. Originally registered on 4th February 1994 this Bentley Continental R has been lovingly cared for by the vendor. Presenting exceptionally well in Red Pearl which is complemented by Sandstone interior, the cockpit of a Continental R is an area of beauty with walnut wood and gauges featuring highly. The paintwork was refreshed in 2011 and appears to have been done to a very high standard as the car remains virtually unblemished. In recent times the fastidious vendor has had the car looked after by marque specialist Frank Dale & Stepsons. The XK8 is a grand tourer car that was launched in 1996 and was the first generation of a new XK series, available in either coupé or convertible body styles and with the new 4.0 litre Jaguar AJ-V8 engine. The 1998 XKR was introduced with a supercharged version of the engine. Both the XK8 and XKR are electronically limited to a maximum of 155mph, the top speed of its predecessor, the XJS V12, being 158mph. A self-levelling xenon headlamps came as standard with the XKR, with Jaguar’s adaptive cruise control as an optional feature available on both models. Both come with all leather interior, burr walnut trim and side airbags. Jeremy Clarkson, during a Top Gear test-drive, likened the interior of the original XK8 to sitting inside Blenheim Palace. The Land Rover Defender was launched in 1948 and, incredibly, production only finished in January 2016 after a continuous run of 67 years. Outwardly, there is little to distinguish the post-1983 vehicles from the Series III Land Rover. A full-length bonnet, revised grille, plus the fitting of wheel arch extensions to cover wider-track axles are the most noticeable changes. Internally, coil springs offered a more comfortable ride and a permanent four-wheel drive system derived from the Range Rover featuring a two-speed transfer gearbox with a lockable centre differential. A modernised interior and a new series of progressively more powerful and modern engine characterised things under the skin. First registered 31st October 2000 this 110 County TD5 boasts just two former owners from new. The Vanquish is widely accepted as being one of the most important cars developed by Aston Martin and heavily influenced the direction of the company’s line-up of sports cars in recent times. So much so, in fact, that the Newport Pagnell factory underwent an extensive refurbishment just to accommodate it, gaining a new assembly line, paint shop, rolling road and water test facility. The genius that is Ian Callum utilised an all-new engine management systems incorporated with a drive-by-wire throttle control and six-speed manual gearbox and an electro-hydraulic change mechanism matched to a hugely powerful six litre, V12 powerplant. It was an instant success and was thus the obvious choice for the nation's favourite secret agent. It was, however, the last Aston Martin to be built at Newport Pagnell with all future cars moving to Gaydon. The bespoke example offered here today was ordered through Grange Aston Martin of the Welwyn Garden City showrooms by a gentleman of the same locale and officially registered in March 2003. It was fully equipped with all the latest extras including Connolly leather and Wilton carpeting throughout costing the princely sum of £165,000. The car presents with a full main agent service history reflected in the stamped service book, including some at Newport Pagnell. During the current ownership, it has also been looked after by accredited Aston Martin specialists with the full-service history maintained throughout its ownership with the majority of works undertaken by the ‘Aston Kensington’ workshops in London. The current mileage is still only 34,750 and it has been kept in good order from both its two recorded keepers. Additionally, we are led to believe that the first owner always kept the car garaged as part of his private collection as indeed has the current owner.Upon inspection, the ‘charcoal black’ paintwork, a favourite with 007, is in good order with a deep lustrous sheen although there are a number of minor issues to note. In terms of light scratches/blemishes, theses can be found infrequently although the owner clearly found himself in an awkward situation with a significant blemish to the offside rear wheelarch, possibly from a bollard. There was thought to be some ‘smoking’ from the large V12 engine however after a visual inspection, very little could be determined and, as it has also just passed an MoT test which obviously includes emissions checks, both neutral idle test and fast idle tests both passed. Potential customers may like to engage some professional advice, however. The charcoal black leather interior appears in reasonable order for a 20+ year old Aston Martin with only light wear noticeable to both front seat bolsters. It’s worth mentioning also, that the factory-supplied umbrella is present, particularly as these are so often the first thing to go missing. This four- (belted) seat 2+2 touring car is stunning to behold and the design is timeless, the next custodian would certainly be lucky indeed. Consigned by Edward Bridger-Stille. Enrico Fumia of Pininfarina's low slung wedge design with high 'kammtail' was reminiscent of his earlier Audi-based Pininfarina Quartz prototype of 1981. The striking lines of the new Grand Turismo Veloce (GTV) and Spiders, revealed at Geneva Salon in 1995, earned countless prestigious design awards from most motoring quarters. Characteristically, the car features concealed headlamps, designed in conjunction with Carello, mounted beneath a clamshell bonnet with illumination port-holes. Build quality was notably a close match to its German rivals and the GTV/Spider helped considerably with rejuvenating Alfa Romeo's reputation for beautiful design and quality crafted sportscars. In the year 2000, two-litre cars were fitted with an upgraded twin-cam engine with 153bhp.This lovely and incredibly low mileage example of the future classic Alfa Romeo 916 Spider is presented in the very best colour combination of Alfa Red with a lovely tan leather interior providing contrast to the beautifully designed interior. The Lotus Carlton was a Vauxhall Carlton upgraded by Lotus Cars to be a 177mph sports saloon with acceleration equal to contemporary supercars. When released, it was the fastest four-door saloon car in the world. The external differences were minimal with the addition of a rear spoiler, air intakes on the bonnet, Lotus badges on the front wings and bootlid, a bodykit and considerably wider wheel arches. The car was only sold in one colour, a shade of British Racing Green called Imperial Green, a very dark green that in anything but direct light appears black.Lotus re-worked the 2969cc, 24V straight-six used in the Carlton GSi and bored it out to 3615cc. In addition, twin Garrett T25 turbochargers were attached resulting in 377bhp and torque at 419lb/ft. Power was transmitted through a six-speed ZF manual gearbox and power was driven to the rear wheels via a limited-slip differential. The brakes were supplied by AP with 330mm ventilated discs all round and racing callipers.First registered on the 18th March 1992 this truly stunning example of the ultra-collectable 90’s super salon is presented in unmarked Imperial Green with contrasting luxury black full leather. Our vendor always dreamt that his dad would turn up from work in a Lotus Carlton when he was younger but having not experienced it as a child, when the opportunity to purchase his own in 2013 arose he jumped at the chance. The car he purchased in 2013 was a indeed a very good example, just four previous owners with documentation back to when new and in 1996 at 49,478 miles had benefitted from a brand new replacement engine under warranty, which is documented as the last Lotus crate engine in existence, therefore the last-ever factory Lotus re-worked 3615cc, 24V straight-six engine is fitted to this very car.Although happy with his pride and joy, in 2022 he decided to contact his local trusted Bodyshop to tidy up a few aspects, this brought what eventually became an unplanned, comprehensive and frankly breathtaking cosmetic restoration. The car was treated to any necessary work to sills and underside before all nuts and bots were replaced and treated before being fully photographed and then undersealed. Then the body, initially planned to rectify any areas in need, our vendor decided to strike a deal with The Bodycentre, Norwich and they could showcase this car for their work… and boy did that pay dividends, where some body shops would take the route of least resistance The Bodycentre took the philosophy that this was their opportunity to demonstrate the highest level of workmanship, indeed three days alone were taken on one wheel arch to ensure the work was exactly as it would have been from new before replicating it on others. It was handy that another original Lotus Carlton was already in the bodyshop, so no stranger to the cars they could make sure all necessary details were seen to. The fit and finish of the panels and even the body kit is exemplary, the finish being part of the reason our vendor is selling ‘it’s just too good that now I’m worried about driving it and getting even a stone chip’.The car is no trailer queen… yet, recent mechanical works include full brake rebuild front and rear with refurbished calipers, new discs, new pads and new hoses all round, fully powder coated and rebushed suspension, new OE wheel bearings all round, new ball joints and new steering control arms and the car performs impeccably and remains garaged between short trips. The interior wasn’t left out of the works, the headlining and A pillars all retrimmed to sustain the ‘fresh’ feel and as original by an original Lotus factory trimmer, which compliments the original stereo and leather trim which feels like it has done ½ the 76,941 miles on the odometer, even the optional over mats feel fresh and are a nod to the sheer opulence of this car when it was new. On that note, the car is completely standard and incredibly original with all work completed as such, the original unused spare is in the boot alongside the unused medical kit and of course the car is complemented by a comprehensive from day-one history file including full book pack and various dealer booklets and magazines of the day. Never intended to be such a comprehensive restoration project, with the plan to simply tidy the car up, our vendor has for want of a better word ‘shot himself in the foot’ striving for perfection he has created one of the best if not the best example on the market, as new yet drivable, boasting the last Lotus re-worked straight-six and with provenance that cannot be replicated, viewing is imperative to appreciate the opportunity to collectors and enthusiasts alike. The sleek superformed aluminium body of the DB9 was initially designed by Ian Callum but had also been significantly influenced by the next director of AM design, Hendrik Fisker. It was powered by a third generation version of the now familiar 6.0 litre, V12 and has a top speed of 186mph. The DB9 was the first of what was to become a long line of production Aston Martins to use VH architecture; using superformed parts in the chassis and footwell as well as the body panels. The individual die-cast, extruded or stamped aluminium elements of the VH platform are bonded with strong adhesives and self-piercing rivets to make a lightweight but stiff backbone. The DB9 body shell weighed 25% less than that of the DB7 but has double its torsional rigidity.First registered on the 12th July 2006 to our vendor and supplied by Stratstone of Mayfair, this example is presented in Meteorite silver with Obsidion Black leather. The Alfa Romeo 1600GT Junior was introduced in 1972 to plug the gap between the GT1300 Junior and the larger-engined 2000 GTV. In the UK righthand drive market, the 1300GT Junior was dropped but in many other markets, the two models were available as a range. The engine was substantially the same as that of the Giulia Sprint GTV discontinued four years previously and had the same engine type number. The final drive ratio was again 9.4;1 as standard on all 105 Series coupés with the 1290cc and 1570cc engine. From 1974 on, the 1300GT Junior and 1600GT Junior were rationalised into a common range of models with the 2000 GTV and were rebadged as 1.3 GT Junior and 1.6 GT Junior, sharing most of the interior and exterior features with the larger-engined car. The only exterior differences were no bumper overriders, lack of C-pillar green serpent badges, small rear light clusters same as pre-1974 Juniors and GT1300 Junior or GT1600 Junior badge on the boot. Originally registered in South Africa on 15th January 1975 this Alfa Romeo is in right hand drive format and as such has plenty of appeal for the UK Market. It was imported into the UK in July 2016 and registered with the DVLA the same month. Since its arrival over £6,500 has been spent on this 1600GT Junior keeping it up to standard. There are some age-related marks on the body (it is nearly 50 years old) so it will require attention to the paint and body at some point in the future. However, the car is imminently useable, the vendor is a member of the AROC and has enjoyed the car throughout his stewardship. Offered for sale at a very realistic estimate this Alfa Romeo 1600GT Junior is a car with a huge fun factor and is an essential part of any Italian classic car collection. Consigned by Stewart Banks. In total, 94,619 TR6s were built of which 86,249 were sold overseas and only 8,370 were sold in the UK.Supplied new to the temperate climes of California this particular TR6 was repatriated to the UK in 1996 and was converted to right hand drive at the same time. As a US supplied car it runs on SU carburettors which are easily maintained and most likely more reliable than the fuel injected UK cars. Said to drive extremely well the car started immediately on inspection and ran smoothly.
