The engine has a copper boiler with fittings including water gauge, pressure gauge, safety valve, blower, clack and blowdown valves. Engine details include cylinder approximately 1 inch bore x 1 ½ inch stroke, drain cocks with operating lever, ratchet mechanical lubricator, trunk type crosshead guide, Stephenson's link reverse, eccentric driven feed pump and bypass, two road speeds and spoked flywheel. Pickering type governor, chassis details include spoked straked wheels, worm and roller chain steering, spud pan, damper, cable drum, fairleads, water lifter, hand brake to second shaft, wooden footboard and tool box. Silver soldered copper boiler, 100 psi working pressure, Ramsbottom type safety valves, injector, mechanical pump. Fittings include pressure gauge, water gauge and whistle. Single cylinder, EN24T steel crankshaft, Stephenson's valve gear, mechanical lubricator. Two speed, winch behind nearside rear wheel, rubber tyres fitted to road wheels. Boiler History: Boiler number GG42, built 2007. Southern Federation certificate C161525, Kinver & West Midlands Society of Model Engineers. A well-engineered working model of a one-third scale single-occupant vehicle built to represent a World-War Two M10 Tank Destroyer, built by Mr P Purser of Essex with the assistance of his brother, over a 10-year period, both being professional engineers and being built in their spare time. It is believed that a model of this type and size is unique in the UK. Capable of speeds in excess of 15mph. Attracting considerable attention wherever it has been displayed and demonstrated, the vehicle was last showcased in 2017 at the Tank Museum in Dorset. Constructed in steel, aluminium and glass-fibre; and powered by two 125cc air-cooled engines, this vehicle has completely independent drive to each track, making it highly manoeuvrable and with the ability to turn within its own length. This vehicle can be easily transported in a regular-sized ‘Transit’-type van. A transportation security bracket is also included which could, if desired, be used for towing small trailers. The vehicle is offered with a comprehensive range of spares, including a still-boxed engine, carburettor and engine electrics. An extensive library of build photographs and construction documentation is also available. Video footage of the vehicle when first displayed in 2016, and during firing trials last year, can be found on YouTube by searching ‘Large scale M10 Achilles tank’. Length 7’4” (with the barrel removed). Width 3’6”. Height 2’8”, and weighing 7cwt (350Kg).

Spoked flywheel with crank and pulley wheel. Diameter 48cm. Sole plate measures 58cm x 45cm. Dismantled. One cross-head guide and one eccentric valve linkage not present.

The model is supported on a polished mahogany plinth with moulded edge and is finished in traditional green and red paintwork. Plinth 36cm x 20cm. Overall height 28cm.

A well-engineered live steam model of a vertical stationary engine, having single cylinder with brass drain cocks and Pickering type speed governor mounted to the top with wheel controlled inlet valve. The steam valve being operated from an eccentric mounted on the crank which is of disc design with side guided. Spoked 4 ½ inch flywheel, split bearings and polish brass oiler cups. The model mounted on diamond checker plate base 19cm x 16cm. Overall height 36cm.

The engine with turned central column supporting beam with single wooden clad cylinder having outside steam chest and steam valve with linkage to eccentric drive on open crank. Spoked flywheel, small pulley drive wheel and water pump driven from the crank above. The whole set on copper plate with wooden base 53cm x 30cm. Overall height 30cm.

A well-engineered Stuart Triple marine live steam boat engine, model engineer built from Stuart castings with three cylinders 1 ¾ inch, 1 ¼ inch and ¾ inch stroke x 1 inch bore and blued lagging. The model finely finished with domed nuts and bolts, Stephenson’s link reverse gear being operated from central wheel, balanced crank with polished brass oilers and wicks, disc flywheel, crank end linkage to ratchet oiler system. Fitted water pump and condenser with unusual drainage system for cylinders. The model is mounted on a wooden block plinth and comes together with a glazed display case 42cm x 30cm. Height 38cm.This model has been run on live steam.

A well-engineered model of a Stuart Turner 800 gas engine, this engine has been built for use as an Internal Combustion petrol engine being fitted with spark plug and associated fuel supply. The single cylinder engine with balanced open crank, oiler system, side rod operating inlet and outlet valves, speed governor, fitted fuel and water coolant tanks. The model mounted on plinth with engine exhaust and finished in traditional Stuart green paintwork. Comes with crank handle for turning the engine over. Plinth 67cm x 31cm. Overall height 64cm.
