The big difference was under the bonnet where you will find the highly regarded 2.5 V8 engine. Daimler were aware that the popular success of the Mk 2 with an expanding client base, might compromise the Jaguar brand, but Daimler were confident that there was a market for an upgraded version which was to be powered by the new and much admired V8 engine, giving it a more comfortable ride. It became the car of choice for many aspiring members of the "professional “ middle classes. This car was built in 1966 and has automatic transmission and power steering which comes in handy when you want to park or do a U3 point turn. It has a genuine miles ( There is sufficient paper evidence to support that figure. ) Interestingly the 3 previous owners all lived in the same Yorkshire village. It is all original inside and out. It has black leather seats and golden walnut dash board. It also has a new battery and 5 new tyres . It's in extremely good condition, inside and out.
