Launched in late 1985, the 560SL convertible/coupé was the latest in Mercedes-Benz's long and much loved line of luxury sports cars that could trace its lineage back to the 230SL of 1963. In the 560SL's case its Type 107 bodyshell had debuted on the 350SL (introduced in 1970) and this timeless style would continue in production for another five years. The 560SL was powered by a 5.5-litre, overhead-camshaft V8 engine producing 227bhp, an output good enough for a top speed of 220km/h with 100km/h reachable in around eight seconds. There were improvements to the running gear in the form of anti-dive/anti-squat rear suspension, a limited-slip differential and revised steering geometry. Other noteworthy features incorporated as standard in this class-leading automobile included leather upholstery, anti-lock braking, anti-theft alarm system, stereo radio/cassette, leather trimmed steering wheel/shift lever, and an improved climate control system. This superb example of this rare SL sports is presented in white with blue cloth interior and has only covered a mere 65,000km (40,389 miles) from new. It was built for the Japanese market but with European specification body, bumpers etc. It comes with electric windows, cruise/climate control, blue hood which is in as new condition and two sets of keys. The wheels have just been refurbished and four new tyres have been fitted. Its smooth V8 is mated to an automatic gearbox and it comes with its factory hardtop in white. With characteristic humility Walter Owen Bentley was constantly amazed by the enthusiasm of later generations for the products of Bentley Motors Limited, and it is testimony to the soundness of his engineering design skills that so many of his products have survived. From the humblest of beginnings in a mews garage off Baker Street, London in 1919 the Bentley rapidly achieved fame as an exciting fast touring car, well able to compete with the best of European and American sports cars in the tough world of motor sport in the 1920s. Bentley’s domination at Le Mans in 1924, 1927, 1928, 1929 and 1930 is legendary, and one can only admire the Herculean efforts of such giants as Woolf Barnato, Jack Dunfee, Tim Birkin and Sammy Davis, consistently wrestling the British Racing Green sports cars to victory. W O Bentley proudly unveiled the new 3-litre car bearing his name on Stand 126 at the 1919 Olympia Motor Exhibition, the prototype engine having fired up for the first time just a few weeks earlier. Bentley’s four-cylinder ‘fixed head’ engine incorporated a single overhead camshaft, four-valves per cylinder and a bore/stroke of 80x149mm. Twin ML magnetos provided the ignition and power was transmitted via a four-speed gearbox with righthand change. The pressed-steel chassis started off with a wheelbase of 9’ 9½”, then adopted dimensions of 10’ 10” (‘Standard Long’) in 1923, the shorter frame being reserved for the TT Replica and subsequent Speed Model. Rear wheel brakes only were employed up to 1924 when four-wheel Perrot-type brakes were introduced. In only mildly developed form, this was the model that was to become a legend in motor racing history and which, with its leather-strapped bonnet, classical radiator design and British Racing Green livery, has become the archetypal vintage sports car.Early success in the 1922 Isle of Man Tourist Trophy, when Bentleys finished second, fourth, and fifth to take the Team Prize, led to the introduction of the TT Replica (later known as the Speed Model) on the existing 9’ 9½” wheelbase, short standard chassis. Identified by the Red Label on its radiator, the Speed Model differed by having twin SU ‘sloper’ carburettors, a higher compression ratio, different camshaft and the close-ratio A-type gearbox, the latter being standard equipment prior to 1927 when the C-type ‘box was adopted. These engine changes increased maximum power from the standard 70 to 80bhp and raised top speed to an impressive 90mph. Other enhancements included the larger (11-gallon) fuel tank and (usually) Andre Hartford shock absorbers. Bentley made approximately 1,600 3-Litre models, the majority of which were bodied by Vanden Plas with either open tourer or saloon coachwork. This is a hugely exciting opportunity to purchase an unrestored example of an original Vanden Plas bodied 1926 Bentely 3-litre Red Label ‘Speed’ model. Very few examples like this are likely to be in existence in this condition and it will be a very rewarding project for its new custodian. This Bentley was originally supplied to a Mr N.Ciclitira in 1926 and our vendor purchased it from a family who he understands, had owned the car since the 1940’s. The car was stored in a garage from at least 1963 until 2020, but this cannot be substantiated. The car was originally bodied as a four-seat sports tourer by Vanden Plas and it would appear that the doors and some sections of the bodywork are very likely to be the originals (not 100% verified), with other areas of wood sections looking to have been replaced at some time. The car retains its original engine, numbered LM1334 which are confirmed by the factory records and it also retains its very desirable SU ‘sloper’ carburettors. It is known that the car was used in competitions (Hill Climb/Circuit) prior to have been put into storage, with some modifications having been made to better suit competition use. The car is fitted with a larger Le Mans style fuel tank on the rear, smaller 18-inch rear wheels with larger sidewall tyres, different wings and a racing exhaust. We cannot say for sure when these modifications would have been made, but it is understood to have been some time in the 1950’s. This car is remarkably complete and viewing is of course highly recommended. John Cooper Works (JCW) is now owned by BMW and it is an in-house tuning, development, and international automotive racing division for Mini vehicles. But it was founded in 2002 by Michael Cooper, son of John Cooper, the racing car maker and tuner responsible for the original Mini Cooper. It was in 2007 that BMW acquired the rights to the name eventually buying out the company in 2008.The first JCW Tuning Kit to be made available for the Cooper S R52 was an upgrade for the Cooper S, producing a total of 200 bhp. Released in 2003, the kit consisted of uprated cylinder head, gas-flowed and ported, 11% Reduction of the supercharger pulley size making the same supercharger spin faster for a particular engine speed. Uprated exhaust system (maintaining the same manifold and catalytic converter) and remapped ECU. At the time, the kit could not be factory-ordered, but had to be retrofitted at Mini dealers or from John Cooper Works themself based in West Sussex, until late 2005 when the Cooper S could be ordered with the upgrade straight from BMWs factory. This one owner from new example was purchased and specified direct from John Coopers West Sussex home, the original order form is in the history file showing the original colour specified as Dark Silver with Black and with Gravity Leather, the pair an option at the time. The options did not stop there with a panoramic glass sunroof, heated front seats, the Cooper Chilli pack, DSC and Harmon Kardon HiFi system and further options to the performance pack from John Cooper with additional bodykit, clear rear lights, alloy gear knob and handles finished off with the Union Jack roof decal and R90 cross spoke alloy wheels to name a few, taking a £12,055 list price to a staggering £27,850 after the options and JCW package. Owned and used as the daily driver, this example boasted the JCW badges, individually numbered engine plate and certificate signed by Mike Cooper. In 2012 the car was subject to a category D insurance claim but otherwise has been well maintained. Number 0097 this is a very capable and collectable example from the original pre–BMW John Cooper Works, offered without reserve with an MoT until April 2025 this is sure to be very popular at auction. The Bentley Continental GT was the first car released by Volkswagen AG after their acquisition of the company in 1998 and was unveiled at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show, followed by Le Mans, Goodwood Festival of Speed and the annual Bentley Drivers Club meeting at Silverstone. The car differed significantly from the previous Continental R and T models in terms of its concept; although much of the car is hand-assembled, this Bentley was made in significantly larger numbers than previously. As a result, the price at launch was substantially less than the Continental R, thus exposing the car to a much wider and new customer base as a more affordable car. A Continental GTC is equipped with a 6.0 litre, twin-turbocharged W12 engine and produces 603bhp with an impressive top speed of 202mph. Torsen-based permanent four-wheel drive is standard.First registered on 17th August 2007, this fabulous Bentley GTC was specified in Moonbeam Silver and with Portland over Nautical interior. As a Mulliner, the car sits on 20” seven spoke split-rimmed alloys fitted with RX Motion U11 tyres and has the desirable cross-stitched seats with Bentley logos. Benefitting from Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, automatic air conditioning, electrically operated adjustable and heated front seats, a Breitling analogue clock and front and rear parking distance control with a colour reversing camera. The wheels have just been refurbished and the car serviced in early June with the MoT test certificate being given first time and without any advisories, showing a mere 63,771 miles. Accompanying the vehicle is the V5C registration document, owner’s manuals and service book, (showing 13 stamps of which six are main agent), a specification summary and collection of maintenance invoices. A lovely example of which the vendor reports to run and drive very well which is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner. Consigned by Will Penrose.MULLINER SPECIFICATIONJUST SERVICED

The Jaguar XJ12 was a very special car but was surpassed by the Daimler variant of the impressive V12 engine. The ultimate version was the Vanden Plas which was the very pinnacle of opulence and grandeur. Aimed at the privileged and titled, peers, lords, social elite, the very wealthy, rock stars and celebrities alike it offered supreme luxury along with grace, pace and space. Providing a highly desirable alternative to the very best offerings from Mercedes-Benz and Rolls-Royce, with a top speed of nearly 150 mph and acceleration to match. This lovely example is presented in gleaming red with cream leather interior and red piping. The quality of the leather is superb and the whole interior is in very good condition throughout including the red carpets and the walnut dash. There is a photographic album of the vehicle during its lifetime and some major works which were carried out on the vehicle circa 1998. Also, there are some laminated pages of this Jaguar which featured back in 2010 in the Jaguar Driver Magazine. Its most recent service was carried out in October 2023. After discontinuing 412 production in late 1989, Ferrari had been operating without a front-engined model of any description for the first time in their history. By 1992 though, the firm were ready to re-enter the GT market with the gorgeous 456. A modern-day version of the 365 GTC/4 produced for just 18 months back in 1971/72, the 456 was clearly influenced by the GTC/4 in concept and style along with that car's glamorous stable-mate, the GTB/4 Daytona.Sprinting from 0-60 in just 5.3 seconds and capable of a top speed of 186mph, the 456 could lap Fiorano several seconds quicker than a 512TR and 348. Pininfarina produced an exceptionally clean design, one devoid of wings, flares or blisters but nevertheless aggressive enough to hint at its massive performance. It was quite possibly the best looking 2+2 of all time.Presented in the elegant colour combination of Blue Tour de France Metallic over a tan leather interior, this example presents very well. The interior is in splendid condition and is complemented by blue piping and dark blue carpets. The 456 comes complete with an impressive service record with 23 services from new, undertaken by either Ferrari main dealer or specialists. Boasting a large folder with service history and maintenance including cambelts in July 2022 as well as a new AC compressor and drier and cosmetic refurbishment of the plenum covers coupled to new handbrake shoes and cables in July 2021both with Belgravia Garage. Accompanying the cars history file is the original Ferrari documentation wallet, manuals, various sundry invoices, V5 registration document, an MoT test certificate valid until September 2024 and the original leather bound toolkit, two keys, a C-Tek battery conditioner, USB charge point and a set of tyres that were fitted at 66,500 miles. A modern-day Daytona with room for two in the back, with a lovely V12 engine note in a practical four seat Ferrari that can be used on a daily basis. The Honda Goldwing, a legendary name in the world of motorcycles, has been a staple of touring bike enthusiasts since its inception in 1974. Known for its luxurious comfort, advanced technology, and powerful performance, the Goldwing has carved out a niche as one of the premier touring motorcycles in the industry. The Goldwing's journey began with the GL1000, a groundbreaking model featuring a flat-four engine, shaft drive, and liquid cooling. This was a significant departure from the traditional air-cooled engines of the time, setting a new standard for smoothness and reliability. Over the decades, the Goldwing has undergone numerous transformations, each iteration bringing enhancements that cater to the evolving needs of riders. Comfort is paramount in the design of the Goldwing. The bike features a well-padded seat with ample support for both the rider and the passenger, along with adjustable suspension systems to tailor the ride quality to personal preferences. Heated grips and seats, as well as a sophisticated climate control system, ensure that riders remain comfortable regardless of weather conditions. The ergonomically designed controls and spacious footrests add to the overall comfort, making long rides less fatiguing. Whether embarking on a cross-country adventure or a leisurely weekend ride, the Goldwing stands as a testament to Honda's commitment to excellence in motorcycle engineering. This Honda Goldwing Trike was originally registered in Austin, Minnesota and was purchased by the only UK owner from Verns Bikes and Trikes, Minnesota in 2004. It was converted to a Trike in by OFT inc of Addison, Illinois. Upon completion it was shipped to the UK in August 2004. The MoT history from 2005 through to 2015 is complete, the owner sadly passing away in 2016. His wife has maintained this Honda well, in July 2022 she spent £2,800 ensuring it is kept to the highest standard. The matching trailer was located in the UK and complements this Goldwing beautifully. A hydraulic ramp is also supplied with this eye-catching machine. Comfort is a word that comes to mind when riding a Honda Goldwing, although they can be heavy to ride. This Trike negates any of those issues, just sit back on this delightful tourer and enjoy the admiring glances. Consigned by Stewart Banks.
