The BMW E39 is the fourth generation of the BMW 5 Series range of executive cars, which was manufactured from 1995 to 2004. It was launched in the saloon body style, with the estate body style (marketed as Touring) introduced in 1996. The E39 was replaced by the E60 5 Series in 2003, however E39 Touring models remained in production until May 2004. The proportion of chassis components using aluminium significantly increased for the E39, and it was the first 5 Series to use aluminium for all major components in the front suspension or any in the rear. It was also the first 5 Series where a four-cylinder diesel engine was available.Imported from Japan, this immaculate example is presented in Metallic Grey with black leather interior and comes with full service history including 14 invoices and 11 stamps in the book. It has an electric glass sunroof, heated electric front seats, cruise control, climate control and electric folding mirrors. These models are superbly built, offering great performance and comfort. It also comes with a mileage guarantee certificate.

The 944 was to feature new styling based upon the Le Mans-styles-Porsche 924 Carrera GT, along with a brand-new Porsche-designed and developed 2.5 litre, four-cylinder engine. Sales of the 168bhp coupé went through the roof with a massive 26,800 Porsche 944s being produced by the end of 1982. To put this figure into context, the entire Porsche company made just 28,000 cars in 1981. The new Porsche owners were attracted by the stunning looks and presence of the model and in 1985, the 'Lux' coupé arrived with a completely new interior design dominated by a smooth, sweeping oval dashboard. This severed all ties with the 924 and completed the move upmarket for the 944. The dash provided improved ergonomics for the instruments with all useful components and buttons placed close at hand. Originally registered on 23rd March 1989, this fabulous Porsche has been exceedingly well cared for by the vendor. Mechanically the car is faultless and the same can be said for the cosmetics. The blue coachwork was refreshed to a very high standard, the vendor then proceeded to have the car completely PPFd (paint protection film) at a cost of circa £5,000. The Linen leather interior is in splendid condition with a lovely patina. The split rim alloys are new and unmarked, the original wheels are available and will be supplied with the car. The fastidious vendor is a very knowledgeable classic car collector and has ensured this Porsche presents in the best possible condition and wants for nothing. A Porsche 944 turbo is a great car to drive, particularly with a manual gearbox as this example is. Supplied with a V5C registration document together with an MoT test certificate valid until 17th September 2022, this is an extremely fine Porsche.

After an initial attempt to enter the luxury motor car market, which did not get beyond the prototype stage, Hotchkiss decided on a one model policy and introduced the Coventry designed AM in 1923. Prior to 1929 the company continued with a one model policy until the introduction of the six-cylinder AM73 and AM80 models were announced. 73 and 80 stood for the bore of the engines used, a naming theme picked up again later in 1936 after a brief hiatus. WB of Motorsport Magazine said, I think it is safe to say that the Hotchkiss Company was one of those manu-facturers who never made a bad car, or at least very few of them. Certainly in the post-vintage years Hotch-kiss advocates you could sit in their 100mph Paris-Nice saloons feeling in no way inferior to their neighbours who had invested in Bentleys new Silent Sports Car.This Hotchkiss AM 80 Monaco was imported into the UK from the Netherlands in April 2018 and is believed to have been restored in France in the late 1970s or early 80s. It is understood the owner in Holland didnt use the car a great deal, initially using it to drive to the annual village fete and back once or twice a year. Presented in good order throughout the bodywork is solid and retains a nice patina from its earlier restoration. The doors shut beautifully with a click, while the interior is presented in very good order. The beige cloth seats are very good and the solid wood window capping and clean headlining making it a very comfortable mode of transport. The boot is sound and waterproofed and has been adapted to carry various tools (which will be included in the sale). The current vendor has recommissioned and maintained the Hotchkiss wherever necessary and as such it is in very good condition. Notable work included a new clutch, and a reconditioned braking system. It has also been rewired and a new battery mounted under the rear floor along with a battery master switch and modern high-torque starter motor. In 2019 the engine was rebuilt with a set of stronger con-rods, pistons, new oil pump gears, valves ground, etc. Offered with a history file containing a collection of handbooks and brochures, sundry invoices, and the UK Registration document this well sorted example drives very well indeed and sounds fantastic when on song.

The Jaguar Mk. II was a medium sized saloon built from 1959 to 1967 as a successor to the 2.4 and 3.4 litre models. The Mk. II was handsome, powerful, and good handling saloon which was offered with a choice of three six-cylinder twin cam engines; 2.4 litre, 3.4 litre or 3.8 litre. After the appreciation of the Mk. I, Jaguar's successor was well received thus making a good car even better. Similar in appearance but with a bigger glass area, it boasted a wider track to improve road holding together with minor front suspension changes to reduce body roll and fitted with the new Dunlop disc brakes all-round rather than drum brakes. The 210bhp 3.4 litre engine variant proved to be the most popular, offering the best compromise between performance and economy. Naturally, the performance was excellent, and the Mk. II has enjoyed great success on the track and can still be a very competitive historic race car. Raced by all the top drivers of the day including Graham Hill, Roy Salvadori and Michael Parkes, the Mk. II scored victories throughout saloon car races in the 60's and was also raced across Europe in the Tour de France and Monte-Carlo rally. The car also gained a reputation as a capable 'getaway car' among the criminal underworld. The Mk. II had seating for five adults and in 3.8 litre specification, could outrun almost any other car on the road. This example is presented in light Quartz Gunmetal Grey with blue leather interior. This was originally a Rhodesian car which we understand was imported to the UK in 2014 and registered with the DVLA in May 2015. Its original 3.4 engine has been replaced by the more potent and powerful 3.8 litre which is mated to a Borg Warner three-speed automatic gearbox. The interior is in good condition with the burr walnut woodwork looking good and is complimented by the Moto-Lita wooden steering wheel, so evocative of this era. The car comes with an original Jaguar workshop manual, Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate and various invoices. These are quintessentially British and evoke many nostalgic memories for a great deal of people, this is no exception!

One of the most synonymous names in British motoring history, Railton Cars was founded in 1933 by Noel Macklin, a well-respected engineer who had already established his credentials as a top class car manufacturer with the Invicta marque which he founded in 1925. For his new venture he teamed up with Reid Railton, another brilliant engineer perhaps most famous for designing Sir Malcolm Campbell’s ‘Bluebird’ Land Speed Record cars of 1931 to 1935, and John Cobb’s record-breaking ‘Railton Mobil Special’. Manufactured at the old Invicta works on Fairmile estate in Cobham, Railtons’ were handbuilt to order for a wealthy client base, no two Railtons were exactly alike but all were excellent cars and survivors are highly sought after today. The marque was effectively killed-off at the outbreak of WW2, having manufactured 1,379 Eights of all types. This extremely rare Railton has an interesting history. It was sold in 1966 via The Railton Owners Club to Mr Henry Stonor who was a rubber planter in Malaya. When in Malaya the car underwent extensive refurbishment including the engine and gearbox. Stonor raced two cars, an Alvis and this Railton which took first place in the 1976 Vintage Grand Prix. When Stonor retired and returned to the UK the Railton was sold through the services of Barry McKenzie, club secretary at the time, to Timothy Railton. His father Reid Railton was by this time deceased and Timothy took the car to his home in the U.S., where he had the car tidied up and painted in the cream colour it still wears today. The current vendor, a well respected and knowledgeable Railton enthusiast, purchased the car from Timothy in 2004 and repatriated the car back to the UK. Throughout his tenureship he has replaced the cylinder head and valves. The starter motor, dynamo and fuel pump have also been replaced, the fuel tank has been restored. The wet weather gear consisting of the hood and tonneau cover have also been replaced. Aesthetically a very handsome vehicle this Railton Tourer was bodied originally by Carbodies of Coventry and it still bears the same body today. A true piece of British motoring history with a very interesting history.

The E-Type design owed much to that of the racing D-Type, a monocoque tub forming the main structure while a tubular spaceframe extended forwards to support the engine. Conceived and developed as an open sportscar, the Jaguar E-Type debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1961 in Coupé form. The car caused a sensation, spontaneous applause breaking out at the unveiling, with its instantly classic lines and a 140mph plus top speed. In October 1964 the 4.2 litre model was released. The more powerful engine, all-synchromesh gearbox and Lockheed brake servo formed part of the new specification and made for a much more user-friendly car. Apart from '4.2' badging, the car's external appearance was unchanged, but under the skin there were numerous detailed improvements, mainly to the electrical and cooling systems, and to the seating which was upgraded to a more comfortable touring style. Top speed remained unchanged at around 150mph, but the main performance gain from the larger engine was more torque at lower RPM.This lovely, original, right hand drive 1966 Jaguar E-Type Series I 2+2 Coupé was supplied new in the UK with body number 7573. Sometime in the late seventies or eighties the car was exported to the USA and later, in 2013, it was sold by a Jaguar specialist near Boston, Massachusetts and returned to the UK. On repatriation the E-type was restored and included work carried out on the body before it was resprayed. The engine was rebuilt and the gearbox overhauled. Further work included a rebuilt rear axle with new discs, brake pipes, pads and shock absorbers. Brakes were also overhauled along with a new stainless-steel exhaust fitted and new chrome wire wheels fitted at each corner and new rubbers. Finally, the car was given an MoT and registered in the UK in May 2016 and now looks resplendent in red with a beautifully trimmed biscuit interior. This E-Type is supplied with a V5C registration document, and two large files of bills accompany the car from specialists such as SNG Barret and Martin Robey detailing parts and work carried out for the restoration. Beautifully finished and highly usable, this Series I E-Type offers practicality and desirability in one complete package.

A modern classic by Pininfarina, the simple yet elegant Spider bodywork that premiered on the 1966 Alfa Romeo Duetto would prove enduringly popular, lasting into the 1990s. All S3 2000 Alfa Romeos were produced left hand drive however a select few dealers such as Lombarda and Bell & Colvill used Ellisons of Hull to convert these prior to sale from new, with all UK S3 therefore missing a passengers side glovebox. The Pininfarina designed Alfa Romeo offered here was manufactured during 1985 and first registered in the UK on 6th August 1985 in right hand drive guise. Our vendor purchased the car in 2016 as a stalled project and set to work by fitting new outer sills and having the car fully repainted in Alfa Romeo Rosso. Whilst trying to keep as much originality as possible, the seats needed reconditioning and the car was also treated to a Quadrifoglio Verde front spoiler; a preferred option and deemed an improvement on the Series Three Aerodynamica chin spoiler. The vendor reports that mechanically the car is in great shape with recent replacement engine mounts and a rebuilt gearbox by Bob Dove racing in 2020. The suspension was also overhauled recently with all bushes and springs being replaced and it also boasts Koni shock absorbers all round, a new servo, starter and radiator. Our vendor has driven the car all over the UK, including trips to Scotland stating It's a great car for circumnavigating lochs and tracking coastlines and is very comfortable and capable over long distances. The service history, a thick A4 ring binder going back to the mid 80s, includes many receipts from Alfa Romeo specialists. The folder also contains previous log books and the vast majority of previous MOT's and the Certificato Di Origine from the Alfa Museum which shows the date of manufacture as 12th April 1985. With a current MoT valid until September 2022, this is a lovely package combining a capable driving experience with solid provenance and viewing is recommended.

Some ideas are just moments of genius, shifting a concept around 180° and leaving other manufacturers playing catch-up. This was the case with Fiats new Multipla. Not only was it their first rear wheel drive car but they went one step further and moved the cockpit over the front wheels, allowing this interior to now seat six people in three rows in comfort, a concept still in production today. The engine in the 600D was 767cc unit, an eminently flexible motor with a top speed just under 70mph making these charming and practical little vehicles among the most sought after of all post-war Fiats. This charming Multipla has spent most of its life in Italy, until four years ago when our vendor purchased from the previous long-term owner. Having undergone a full bare metal, no expense spared restoration and repaint with underbody renovation by Automotive in Martina Fraca, Southern Italy to showcase their paint products. More recently having been used to ferry friends and family around on the Isle of Wight where it presides, wherever it goes it creates quite a stir. A best in show winner on the two occasions it has been entered, we are informed by the vendor she starts, drives, and stops superbly, with all gears selecting correctly. Offered with V5C registration document, current MoT certificate and original import papers. Classic Multiplas in this superb condition are rare and this one, goes as well as it looks€¦and it looks gorgeous.

A direct descendant of Jaguars giant-killing D-Type, the E-Type naturally borrowed many styling and engineering cues, the body was slippery and voluptuous, looking fast even when stationary. The engine, initially, was the same 3.8 litre unit with triple SU carburettors, independent suspension, and disc brakes. The car evolved however, over time, with an engine upgrade in 1968 to 4.2 litres as well as various body modifications such as front scoop, headlights and indicators for the Series II model. Autocar described it, at the time, as €œthe fastest car we've ever tested€.The history file accompanying this example is extensive to say the least, detailing ongoing improvements including a light restoration in 1991/92 have contributed to this original righthand drive fixedhead model. According to the JDHT certificate, it was delivered new to Mr. G. Martinson with England cricketer and coach, Graeme Fowler taking delivery more recently and John Bintcliffe, Audi racing driver/team finally taking the wheel prior to the vendor.Since then, in 1999, rear bearings were added as well as cap-leads, plugs, bulbs, filters etc. Later, new tyres were fitted all round as well as new Boge shock absorbers to the front. In 2000, it had a full engine and gearbox rebuild with new nitrided valve guides and bearings. This included a carburettor rebuild and new exhaust manifold. The new clutch is a three-part Borg & Beck unit and, obviously, all new hoses and fan belts were added. In 2011/12, all suspension bushes, ball joints and tie rod ends were replaced along with rear shock absorbers and front torsion bars. The steering column was also rebuilt alongside a completely new interior with an up-to-date radio/CD/MP3 unit and hands-free telephony. In the last 12 months, it has had new front discs and pads, overhauled front suspension with new shock absorbers, front and rear and springs to the rear with a rebuilt rear cradle assembly, as well as a new radiator and cowling. Complete with a new clutch, a fresh MoT test certificate and plenty of books and manuals, this most classic of sporting coupés is well priced, well put together and extremely well documented.

The fifth generation of the legendary SL series of two-door convertible sports cars was known as the R230. It featured a fully retractable hardtop that was marketed as the Vario roof, a first for the SL class although it had been available on the smaller SLK model since 1997. The flagship models were built by AMG in the form of the SL55 and SL65, both highly tuned versions of the SL500 and SL600 respectively. The SL55 was powered by a mighty supercharged version of the 5.5 litre, V8 which produced 493bhp and achieved 0-62 in 4.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 155mph (governed). In theory, the SL55 could reach 190mph if the car was derestricted but, for many, the acceleration and top speed is impressive enough in its standard form! The SL55 AMG is further enhanced by an F1 Performance Package offering a truly dynamic driving experience; this high-performance version of the roadster is closely derived from the official FIA Safety Car for 2002. The enhanced dynamic characteristics relate to an extensive range of revisions to its body - engine cooling system, brakes, and suspension. Larger cooling-air intakes and an additional engine-oil cooler ensure that the AMG V8 super-charged engine is maintained at the optimum operating temperatures during aggressive driving. The SL55 AMG with the Performance Package also draws on its Formula 1 counterpart when it comes to the chassis set-up, together with the choice of wheels and tyres. The Mercedes-Benz AMG engineers based the configuration on the set-up used by official FIA Safety Car driver Bernd Mayländer on all the F1 Grand Prix circuits. This example of the incredibly desirable SL55 with the F1 Performance Pack is finished in gleaming Obsidian Black over a mid-grey and black ash interior; it appears almost unmarked. Fitted with a set of hollow-spoke, 19" F1 split-rim alloys, shod with 4 correct Pirelli tyres, the car is also de-restricted to its maximum 186mph should you be brave enough! Options including panoramic glass Vario roof, Bose sound-system, key-less go, CD and Command NAV. The SL55 has ten service invoices, the last service undertaken in January 2020. Maintained regardless of cost this Mercedes has recently benefited from new control arms and bushes fitted to the front suspension and a recent ABC flush, the work costing circa £1,500. This wonderful looking example is an opportunity not to be missed. A collectable, comfortable and extremely capable modern classic.

The Land Rover Defender was launched in 1948 and, incredibly, production only finished in January 2016 after a continuous run of 67 years. Outwardly, there is little to distinguish the post-1983 vehicles from the Series III Land Rover. A full-length bonnet, revised grille, plus the fitting of wheel arch extensions to cover wider-track axles are the most noticeable changes. Internally, coil springs offered a more comfortable ride and a permanent four-wheel drive system derived from the Range Rover featuring a two-speed transfer gearbox with a lockable centre differential. A modernised interior and a new series of progressively more powerful and modern engine characterised things under the skin. In August 2011, Land Rover announced an update of the Defender for the 2012 model year. By this time, Land Rover publicly acknowledged that it was working on a project to produce an all-new replacement for the Defender. Then in line for the 2012 models was the installation of a different engine Ford decided, due to cost reasons, not to modify the engine introduced in 2007 and so the engine was replaced with the ZSD-422 engine, essentially a 2.2-litre variant of the same engine. Supplied by Barretts of Canterbury and originally registered on 30th June 2014 this one owner Land Rover presents in good all-round condition. This seven seat Defender is a Limited Edition and has a comprehensive specification with Expedition roof rack, a tow bar, air conditioning, heated front seats, upgraded sound system, heated front screen, electric winch on the front and a snorkel. It has been exceptionally well maintained by the fastidious vendor, having been serviced every year, the last service was on 14th May 2021 at 48,180 miles. Supplied with a V5C registration document together with an MoT test certificate valid until 31st May 2022 and the original service books. These robust, go anywhere vehicles have become increasingly desirable in recent years, this great example is sure to be one that catches the eye.

The Triumph TR5 was manufactured for just 13 months, from August 1967 through to September 1968 and is the most sought after of the Michelotti /Karmann-styled Triumph sports roadsters, combining the most elegant early looks with all-independent suspension and the best engine. Optional extras included overdrive, wire wheels and the Surrey top with detachable roof panel. Visually identical to the Michelotti-styled TR4, the TR5 hid its main differences under the body and the most significant of these was the engine, the first British production sports car unit to feature petrol injection. The 2,498cc straight-six used Lucas new indirect injection system to develop 150bhp. It's the TR5 that aficionados seek out as the most attractive and collectible of the series. This absolutely superb TR5 was the subject of a full restoration, and the result is stunning! It is presented in gleaming red with a black hood and black interior. It is powered by the lively 2.5 litre straight six engine which sounds terrific when the foot is firmly down on the accelerator. The history file is considerable and all invoices and details of its restoration can be found in this file. This car wants for nothing and is ready for the British Spring and Summer! Superb! The car is being sold with a NOVA and the purchaser will be responsible for registering the car with the DVLA.

These fabulous sports cars were unveiled at the Geneva Salon in 1977 and voted Car of the Year for 1978. It was intended as an upmarket replacement for the long-running 911 but in the event Porsche's rear-engined classic would outlive its younger sibling. The front-engined 928's stylish hatchback body featured aluminium doors, bonnet and front wings in the interests of weight saving, while ingenious impact resistant 'bumpers' made of colour matched plastic were incorporated into the nose and tail. A five-speed transaxle gearbox or three-speed automatic were the transmission options, in 1979 the 928S with its 4.6 litre engine arrived and then in 1986 the model was further revised and restyled, becoming the 928 S4. Its engine producing 320bhp courtesy of twin-cam, 16 valve cylinder heads and enlargement to 4,957cc, the S4 enjoyed a welcome top speed boost to 160mph.Originally registered in January 1990, this handsome Porsche presents well in Grey metallic which is complemented with grey leather. Power delivery is smooth from the five litre 320 bhp engine and we are told this Porsche is a joy to drive. We are also informed that the file for this autobahn cruiser contains a V5C registration document, a good service history and an MoT test certificate valid until July 2022. Porsche 928s have recently rediscovered their rightful popularity in recent years and represent a fantastic way to enjoy the open road.

The E-Type Series III was introduced in 1971, with a new 5.3 litre, V12 engine, uprated brakes, and standard power steering. Optionally, an automatic transmission, wire wheels and air conditioning were available. The brand new V12 engine produced 272bhp, had more torque, and a 0-60mph acceleration of less than seven seconds, which was phenomenal for the price of the car at that time, considering its competition in the marketplace. The short wheelbase fixedhead coupé body style was discontinued, with the Series III available only as a convertible and 2+2 coupé. The newly used longer wheelbase now offered significantly more room in all directions. These models were easily identifiable by the large cross-slatted front grille, flared wheel arches, wider tyres, four exhaust tips and a badge on the rear that proclaims it to be a V12. It is thought that only 7,990 convertibles and 7,297 fixedhead cars were produced. This wonderful Series III E-Type is an original home market, right hand drive example and is presented in its original colour combination of old English White over red leather interior. Previously the E-Type has won various concours events and has clearly been well cared for throughout its life. The paintwork presents in very good order with little sign of age as does the interior which, bar the odd blemish is in fine fettle. The vendor reports that the Jaguar runs and drives very well indeed having completed various trips in recent times. In October 2021 the E-Type was treated to much renovation work carried out by E-Type Specialists, WinSpeed of Guildford. The invoice totalling £7,181.69 and included comprehensive work to the engine, gearbox and ancillaries. Offered with a history file detailing previous sales invoices, old MoT test certificates, concours winning certificates, sundry invoices and the most recent invoice from WinSpeed. In very good order throughout the E-Type will enhance any serious collection and can be used and enjoyed immediately by its new custodian.

1975 saw the launch of the Jaguar XJS. In a year that Margaret Thatcher was made the leader of the Conservative Party and petrol was 70p/gallon, the new grand tourer from Jaguar was introduced as the replacement for the iconic E-Type. During an astonishing build run of 21 years, 115,413 units were produced by the Coventry manufacturer at their world famous Browns Lane factory. V12 engine cars were unusual at the time with notable exceptions coming from Italian luxury sports car makers Lamborghini and Ferrari. The specifications of the XJS compared well with both Italian cars; it was able to accelerate to 60mph in 7.6 seconds and had a top speed of 143mph. The XJS model was available until production ceased in 1996.This lovely 1990 Jaguar XJS convertible is showing 88,420 miles on the odometer and is finished in the wonderful colour combination of Bordeaux Red metallic over a contrasting, well presented Magnolia interior and benefits from desirable Lattice alloy wheels. Offered in good order throughout, this Jaguar has recently been treated to a service, the fitment of a Bluetooth radio and repair work to the walnut dashboard. Previous maintenance works include various services and an extensive refresh to the paintwork which retains a deep shine. Included in the file are many previous MoT test certificates, maintenance invoices, a current MoT test certificate valid until June 2022 and the original service and workshop booklets. Also present is the original toolkit and the spare wheel. A nicely presented example of the flagship 5.3 litre V12 XJS which has established itself as a most worthy, latter-day, classic. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and including the cherished number plate G70 XJS.

The first 996 Series cars arrived on our shores in October 1997 but 2001 saw a revision of the 911 Carrera 2 and 4 ranges, with turbo-look headlamps, revised steering and suspension, interior upgrades, but most importantly of all, a 3.6-litre engine which developed 320bhp. The Cabriolet version's hood was amended, and it also gained a glass rear window. A Carrera 4S model with broad turbo style wide arches debuted in summer 2003. This stunning Guards Red 996 Carrera 4S is a credit to its owner. Offered in the more desirable manual guise, he purchased this Porsche in 2018 after an exhaustive search for the perfect 911 Cabriolet to enjoy his retirement and settled upon this all-Porsche main dealer history car with just two previous owners having importantly had all the necessary IMS bearing checks completed. The car had been ordered new from Porsche GB in Reading with a selection of upgrades that can all be found in the order letters and original documentation from 2004, this is coupled with a near perfect history file containing every invoice, service bill and receipt since new. The order summary showed that this C4S was specified with optional cruise control, heated seats, rear console, and handbrake in exterior colour (something that really brightens up a 911 interior) and CD autochanger along with PCM system and telephone module. Add in the tracker and tax, this car was £76,041 when new. The first owner kept the car until 2012 when the second owner purchased and thankfully kept up the maintenance with Porsche themselves. In 2019 feeling very happy with his 911 and shortly after a major service with Porsche Mid-Sussex, the car developed an engine fault which eventually was diagnosed as an IMS bearing failure, the owner contacted Porsche and in August of 2019 paid to have a brand-new short Porsche 911 engine fitted at the expense of a heavily discounted £9,719 by Porsche themselves at 45,818 miles. The car has since been serviced by Porsche and is much like a car that has covered 12,000 miles let alone 57,000. With no expense spared, a fully Porsche stamped and invoiced history, two keys and the desirable hardtop with stand and cover, this is a truly special example with an engine that is barely run-in!Interested parties should note that the original service book has been misplaced, however all the service invoices are in the history file. If found the vendor will forward this on to the winning bidder.

The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow was released to the public in October 1965. This new model was ten years in development and the new series was characterised by surprisingly modern features. Rolls-Royce broke new ground and broke away from many sacred design principles. The new models were technically striking in three ways; a monocoque chassis was used, all the wheels were sprung independently and four-wheel disc brakes ensured stopping power of that expected in a modern car. Under the bonnet, the V8 engine that had been introduced in the Silver Cloud series was employed. In February 1977, the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II was introduced. Outwardly, the models were identifiable by bumpers with rubber inserts and edges made from polyurethane. The most notable mechanical changes were to the rack and pinion steering, there was also modifications to the front suspension which improved handling markedly. The car had been subjected to extensive wind tunnel testing, the result of which created a car with much better stability at high speed. This lovely example of this British classic luxury saloon is presented in Honey Gold with a brown vinyl roof and light fawn leather interior. Its interior is showing a nice patina with all woodwork in good condition. There is a recent invoice for £12,000 which was for a general service carried out by Harwoods, this included a brake overhaul, wax oiling, new gaskets and seals etc (all invoices are in the history file). The car comes with its original bill of sale and its factory pass out papers which is rare. There are 21 service stamps in the book and its had only four owners from new.

Manufactured between 1965 and 1969, the Porsche 912 was very much the entry level Porsche sports car. Although, for some time, considered the poorer relation to the 911, the 912 is a serious sports car in its own right. With aerodynamic lines, low weight and an efficient engine, the 912 demonstrated good performance, nimble handling and economy, resulting in initial production cars outselling the 911. The 912 won Car and Driver's 1967 'Readers Choice' Poll for its class, a popular choice for motorsport teams and a rally prepared 912 won its class in the 1967 European Rally Championship. This Porsche 912 is in impeccable order throughout following a recent nut and bolt restoration. This Porsche has benefitted from meticulous attention to detail during the recent works done and it certainly shows. Presenting immaculately in newly painted grey metallic with a contrasting newly trimmed interior, the level of work on this Porsche needs to be seen. The engine bay is immaculate as is the front loadspace. The shut lines are good and the chrome work has been replaced. We are informed that she runs as well as she looks. With rising values for Porsche 912's, this gem of a car is certainly a contender for one to have and to hold on to.

The Ferrari 456 was the first front-engine Ferrari for 20 years and offered true performance touring for four occupants. The 456 GT was announced in September 1992, making its public show debut in Paris the following month. This was a positive and brave move by the company, as the prestige sports car markets were in recession after all the speculation and hype of the late eighties. However, they showed their commitment to broadening their range and to maintaining their position at the head of the list of the world's most desirable automobiles. The Pininfarina styled aluminium bodywork made for a pleasing design, particularly the modernised reflection of the fabled 365 GTB/4 Daytona with the long bonnet, featuring retractable headlight pods. Also inspired by the Daytona was the design treatment of the rear of the cabin envelope and tail. Thus although the shape was thoroughly modern, it contained retro trace elements to associate it with the company's history. Electronically adjustable self-levelling suspension gave positive handling and a comfortable ride, while the 442bhp, V12 made sure that performance had not been overlooked.Registered in March of 1999 this stylish Ferrari looks well in Nero Black paintwork with a contrasting Ivory leather interior. The file for this 456 contains a V5C registration document, a valid MoT test certificate and various service invoices, the most recent of which is for £3987. We are informed that recent servicing works have been undertaken by the vendors mechanic. The car certainly performed well on a recent test drive. The 456 model has the practicality of four seats combined with the perfect balance of aggressiveness and elegance. This handsome automatic transmission, example awaits a new owner to enjoy it to its fullest.

The Firebird was built by the Pontiac division of General Motors between 1967 and 2002. Introduced in the same year as its platform-sharing cousin the Chevrolet Camaro, the Firebird was seen as a long-term competitor to the successful Ford Mustang. The fourth generation Firebird amplified the aerodynamic styling initiated by the previous generation; while the floorplan remained largely the same, ninety percent of the Firebird's parts were all new. Major improvements included standard dual airbags, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, 16-inch wheels, rack-and-pinion power steering and several non-rusting composite body panels. Throughout its fourth generation, trim levels included V6-powered Firebird, and V8-powered Formula and Trans Am.This superb 25th Anniversary edition is presented in white with blue stripe running from front to rear. Its white leather interior is in superb condition as is the exterior. The car was imported by the present owner in 2018 from Reno in the United States, making him only the second owner of this superb Pontiac from new. This car comes with its Targa top configuration, electric windows, CD player, air conditioning, ambient interior lighting and under car lighting. Its mighty 5.7 litre engine is mated to an automatic gearbox providing smooth gearchanges with lively performance, as one would expect. It comes with a good history and must be one of the finest on the market today.

The Ford Zephyr and its variant, the Zodiac, were the largest passenger cars in the British Ford range and were manufactured from 1950 through to 1972. The Zodiac was an upmarket version of the Zephyr 6 but differed considerably from that model by the limousine-type rear doors, sharper roofline (with narrower C-pillar), unique grille (four headlights instead of two), plusher seating with up-market upholstery, dashboard and interior fittings. A choice of individual or bench front seat was available; the front doors and bonnet panels were shared with the Zephyr 6. The 2553cc single-carburettor six-cylinder engine was improved internally to increase the power output to 109bhp, hence the brakes were uprated and were servo assisted, using discs at the front and drums at the rear. A Zodiac Mk. III saloon tested by The Motor magazine in 1962 had a top speed of 100.7mph and cost £1070 on the road including taxes. Originally registered on 24th November 1964, this Zodiac has only covered 25,057 miles in 58 years on British roads. The car comes with an extensive history folder with photographic evidence of a full restoration including the bodywork and interior. The engine has been rebuilt at a cost of over £2,500 and has covered little more than 100 miles since. This handsome and imposing Ford is described by the vendor as being nostalgic and fun to drive with its huge front bench seat and column gearchange. Supplied with a V5 registration document and a huge history folder, including previous MoT test certificates to confirm the mileage. Classic Fords have been well received at auction of late; this 58 year old example will be no exception.  Guide price; £7,000-£10,000

The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class has been manufactured since 1954. The designation SL derives from the German 'Sport Leicht' or 'Sport Light' and was first applied to the 300SL 'Gullwing,' named after the upward-opening doors. The term SL-Class refers to the marketing variations of the vehicle, including the numerous engine configurations spanning five design generations. The Mercedes-Benz R107 and C107 cars were produced from 1971 through to 1989, being the second longest single series ever produced by Mercedes-Benz after the G-Class. The R107 took the chassis components of the mid-size W114 model and mated them to the larger engines from the S-Class (W116) and has become a benchmark of quality throughout the years. This fine example of this highly desirable model is presented in metallic blue with cream leather upholstery. It comes with its factory hardtop and the hood is in good condition also. With only four owners from new, the present owner has just spent circa £4000 with Auto Revive London just to bring it up to scratch! The history file contains many invoices showing work carried out over the years, which includes a respray by Alan Day Mercedes-Benz and a retrim to a very high standard as you can see today. It also comes with its owners handbook in a leather wallet and its service history book. The 500SL is always the one to have, owing to its smooth V8 which is great for those long summer tours with the hood down!

Introduced in 1957, the Fiat 500 Nuova may be considered one of the first small city cars. Fiat produced their famous 'suicide door' 500 D from 1960-1965. This was also available with the trasformabile (transformable) roof that folds all the way back down to the engine bay and was only available in left hand drive format. This combination of fully convertible roof and suicide doors is very rare now and has become the most collectable version of the 500.This wonderfully presented example has been restored to a very high standard and as such presents in excellent condition. Uprated with a 650cc engine, synchromesh gearbox, electric push button starter and front disc brakes. Reported by the vendor to drive exceptionally well it has been used regularly on high days and holidays during his tenure. The bodywork shows no noticeable scratches, dents or corrosion and the interior is very well indeed. Finished with a set of period-correct 12€ steel wheels with chrome hub caps, this delightful example is offered with sundry invoices, certificate of origin, and the UK V5 registration document. This desirable suicide door trasformabile example is sure to be huge amounts of fun for the new owner in the coming summer months!

The Wrangler is arguably an indirect progression from the World War II Jeep, through the CJ (Civilian Jeeps) produced by Willys, Kaiser- Jeep and American Motors Corporation (AMC) from the mid-1940s through 1980s. All Wrangler models continue to use a separate body and frame, rigid live axles both front and rear, a tapering nose design with flared fenders, a fold-flat windshield and can be driven without doors. Also, with few exceptions, they have part-time four-wheel drive systems, with the choice of high and low gearing and standard are open bodies. This example is presented in green with beige removal hardtop and green cloth interior. Once the hard top has been removed, it reveals the roll hoop and then provides the occupants with fun open air travelling. This model comes with the more desirable 4.0 litre six-cylinder engine mated to an automatic gearbox. It comes with wind down windows and is fitted with a tow bar with twin electrics. Great fun for the Spring or Summer in particular.

The TR5 was built for a 13 month period between August 1967 and September 1968 in Coventry. Visually identical to the Michelotti styled TR4, the TR5 hid the main differences under the body. The most significant change was the 2.5 litre straight-six fuel-injected engine developing around 150bhp and which was carried forward to the TR6. At the time, fuel injection was uncommon in road cars. Triumph claimed in their sales brochure that it was the first British production sports car with petrol fuel injection. This engine could propel the TR5 from 0-50mph in just 6.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 125mph. Standard equipment included front disc brakes, independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering and a four-speed gearbox. The available optional extras included overdrive, wire wheels and a hardtop with detachable roof panel, known as the Surrey Top.This stunning, fully restored, manual with optional overdrive TR5 was built in June 1968 before being first registered on 1st August, this is verified by the accompanying Heritage Certificate. Presented in possibly the best colour combination of dark blue with cream trim, this example completed a nut and bolt restoration in 2014, the restoration spanned the best part of a decade and can be seen in photos contained within the history file. Bills found in the history file amount to over £40,000 and include a full engine rebuild by Newark engines in Nottinghamshire before Rawles motorsport, in 2012, reconditioned and fitted a lightened flywheel, piper 244R camshaft and Revington TR exhaust. The chassis was galvanised and strengthened and the quality of the works is easy to see and is borne out by the smooth running of its 2498cc engine. Since the restoration the car has never seen the wet and has been housed in a garaged by its subsequent owners. Fitted with a rally bar with spots however the chrome front bumper is available. A recent inspection by Andrew Holyoak valued this example more than £50,000 and we can see why.Offered to auction with a V5C registration document, MoT test certificate with no advisories until February 2023, details and invoices from the restoration and a Heritage Certificate, this example is offered at a fraction of the expenditure lavished upon the vehicle during its restoration with only 1161 original right hand drive cars built it would be a great investment.

Following the resounding success of the R107, the R129 Mercedes-Benz SL had a rather tough act to follow, as it still had to carry on the tradition of a fast and reliable grand touring convertible. The advantage designers had with the R129 was technology. By the time the final car rolled off the production line in 1989, these earlier models had been in production for 18 years with very little change. Therefore, the SL500 featured many new and innovative ideas, such as controlled electronic damping, automatically expanding roll-over bar and a more modern multi-link rear axle. In addition to this was a fully operating electric roof, windows, door mirrors and seats, which made this model easy and comfortable to operate. The new SL also boasted a more powerful engine and the stopping power was aided by anti-lock braking for added reassurance.First registered in March 1993 having been supplied by Normand (Mayfair) Ltd. of Wembley. This low owner example of the Mercedes-Benz R129 is presented in Signal Red coachwork with biscuit leather trim which to the front has recently been re-upholstered. Synonymous with the swinging ‘60’s and the hit TV series, Inspector Morse, the Jaguar Mk. II has been used as a vehicle to transport everyone from dignitaries and politicians to bank robbers and the criminal select. When released, traditional Jaguar buyers had no need to feel alienated by the new offering from Coventry as the interior was up to their usual standards with leather and walnut being the order of the day. With 112bhp available, the 2.4 was not overly burdened with pace so, importantly, coupled to a manual gearbox with overdrive it would be the more frugal of the range but give the driver the ability to utilise the full range of the 2.4 engine. Presented in the splendid colour combination of Westminster Blue with deep red trim, this Mk. II has been owned by our vendor and Jaguar Enthusiast member for some 19 years having purchased the car in 1999 from a Mr Smith who had owned the car for the previous decade.  After deciding to sympathetically restore the car, between 1999 and 2002 this Mk. II received a full retrim and interior restoration together with a complete brake overhaul, now boasting Coopercraft brakes, before the mechanicals were overhauled a year later with the engine and gearbox removed by Motafix of Bushey, Herts. The exact date the bodywork was restored is unknown, but it presents well today with the chromework and paint in keeping with an elegant but older restoration. The engine has seen a more recent upgrade to SU’s coupled to new manifolds to make more regular use more pleasant. Within the history file, numerous receipts and MoT test certificates can be found naturally from a car owned for such a long period. This very attractively priced Mk. II, with the crucial manual gearbox and optional overdrive, is a must for the budding Jaguar enthusiast or those looking for a great looking and practical classic car.Guide Price £10,000 - £15,000

The Silver Wraith was the first post-war Rolls-Royce offered directly to the general public. Traditionally, their cars were offered as engine only/rolling chassis then delivered directly to a coach builder to receive the body of choice. They were larger than their sibling, the Bentley Mk. VI, and were equipped with independent front suspension and hydraulic shock absorbers, appealing to both owner-drivers and passengers alike.Originally delivered to Mr. Arthur Aman of Windlesham in Surrey by Brooklands of Bond Street in 1952, instructions included Silver Dawn headlamps and a wider, more imposing, bonnet. It was then absorbed as a company asset by Arthur Aman & Co. in 1954 followed by sale to Mr. Philip Rickards of Fulham, London in 1962. Mr. K. Hemmingway of Stanmore, Middlesex in 1965 became the last recorded owner on the enclosed period owners documentation. More recently, documents show that the car came from the US to a Mr. David Leppan of Phillimore Gardens, London who imported the car from Los Angeles to Felixstowe in 2010. All taxes and duties were paid at the time and part of the UK V5, and NOVA is enclosed. It was then sold to a noted German collector before finding its way back to the UK.Originally a black car with contrasting brown leather interior, it has since been painted in these two shades of a much more cheerful blue. New carpets have been installed, front and rear and, some time ago, a boot-mounted, air-conditioning system has been integrated into the superstructure and reported to be fully functioning. The aluminium exterior of the car is in excellent general condition with faults hard to find. The aluminium bumpers are also in excellent condition although the wing mirrors would benefit from some light attention along with the interior silvering of the offside headlamp. This imposing example has also just undertaken a mechanical overhaul alongside a major service and is reported to be running beautifully with a powerful, silent engine exhibiting good oil pressure and cool running at motorway speeds.A large diameter steering wheel allows for easy low-speed manoeuvring and new white wall tyres are fitted all round with chrome wheel centres recently purchased and fitted. The internal appointments are of equally good quality with period blue leather in good order throughout and just minor wear on the drivers bolster. There are walnut picnic tables, fold-out footrests, and foot-cushions for the rear occupants with door cappings and dashboard in excellent condition. Additional details include the original brass Pyrene fire-extinguisher, modern Alpine radio and a golden Spirit of Ecstasy.A very well-prepared and sporting Rolls-Royce, effortlessly able to keep up with modern traffic and with many miles ahead of her.

The Nash Motor Company forms part of the very backbone of the American motor industry right from its inception in 1916 right through until relatively recently in 1957. It is also responsible for several safety innovations from unibody construction right through to seat belts with many models available throughout this period and it is the eight cylinder Advanced model that we have today. This standard Art-Deco coupé body was designed by Count Alexis de Sakhnoffsky, the Russian-born son of Prince Vladimir Sakhnoffsky who came to the West after fleeing the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia. By the early 1920s, Sakhnoffsky had become known in Europe as a designer of ultra-modern, streamlined sports cars. This put his design skills in high demand and, by 1929, Sakhnoffsky moved to America and began working for several motor companies including Auburn, Cord, and American Austin. Indeed, the L-29 Cord body he designed for himself won the Grand Prize at the 1929 Monaco Concours d'Elegance and the Grand Prix d'Honneur at the 1929 Beaulieu Concours. In fact, it was the coupé that formed the basis of what we have here. An Australian (hence righthand drive) industrialist fell in love with this model and bought three examples. This was just the beginning however as he then had them stripped back and rebuilt to his own specification. They benefitted from a huge straight eight-cylinder, overhead valve engine with an advanced twin ignition, 16 sparkplug layout with power passing through a flexible three-speed manual gearbox.Restored in Australia by the previous owner, now deceased, it was then shipped to the UK by the vendor in September 2005. During its time here, it has been meticulously prepared to the extent that every single element of the original electrical and mechanical system now works and every part of this car functions as it should. For safety, directional signals have been added and it also benefits from a recent service and 12-month MoT test. It has since gone on to win a myriad of accolades including several concourse prizes, full details of which can be found in the accompanying file.Whilst two other examples of this car were thought to have been built, the whereabouts of these are unknown and so, therefore this, with its period set of hickory-shafted golf clubs and picnic set, represents one of the rarest Nashs in the world.Interested parties should note that this example is fully UK road registered and complete with a UK V5C.

The NSU Ro80 was a technologically advanced saloon produced by the West German firm of NSU from 1967 until 1977. Most notable was the powertrain; a 113bhp, 995cc twin-rotor Wankel engine driving the front wheels through a semi-automatic transmission employing an innovative vacuum system, and as such was voted Car of the Year in 1968, by European motoring writers. Other technological features of the Ro80, aside from the powertrain, were the four wheel, inboard, disc brakes, which for some time were generally only featured on expensive sports or luxury saloon cars. It also featured an automatic clutch which was commonly described as a three-speed semi-automatic gearbox: there was no clutch pedal, but instead, on top of the gear knob, an electric switch that operated a vacuum system which disengaged the clutch. The gear lever itself could then be moved through a standard 'H pattern' gate. The shape was also slippery with a drag coefficient of 0.355 allowing for an impressive top speed of 112mph.First registered on 23rd January 1975, this revolutionary motorcar presents in good order throughout; the interior is in very good condition boasting all its original features. A rare car, with only 45 registered with the DVLA on the road, you are unlikely to come across another at any motoring event. The vendor, a collector of many quirky cars, informs us that the car runs and drives well and is only selling to free up some space.Supplied with its V5C registration document, the NSU offers understated performance and old school German quality from an interesting period in German automotive history. The Wankel-powered NSU Ro80 is now, as it was then, in a class of its own.

In 1975, the Jaguar E-Type finally gave way to an all new and more efficient Jaguar, the Jaguar XJ-S. This new luxury grand tourer, although never quite having the same sporting image as the E-Type, was actually more aerodynamic with the final example leaving the production line on 4th April 1996; at that stage 115,413 units had been manufactured during a 21 year production life. V12 engine cars were unusual at the time with notable exceptions coming from Italian luxury sports car makers Lamborghini and Ferrari. The specifications of the XJS compared well with both Italian cars; it was able to accelerate to 60mph in 7.6 seconds and had a top speed of 143mph.This fabulous example is presented in white with brown leather interior and a brown hood. The car is in fantastic time warp condition and has just been repatriated to the UK from Guernsey and as such is being sold with a NOVA and would need to be registered with the DVLA by the new keeper. Its paintwork and interior are in superb condition considering its age and being the more desirable V12 model, this surely must be one of the finest examples on the market today.

The W140 was a flagship vehicle premiered at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1991 with the first examples rolling off the production line in August 1991. The SE/SEL/SEC cars were renamed the S-Class, with alphanumerical designations inverted. The W140 was the first of the next generation of Mercedes-Benz models to feature the company's new design theme and development began in 1981. The W140 introduced innovations such as double-pane window glazing, power-assisted closing for doors and boot lid, electric windows which lowered back down upon encountering an obstruction and a heating system which, if desired, continued to emit warm air after the engine was turned off. For details like this, the W140 is often known as the last Mercedes-Benz to be over-engineered. The W140 used a hydropneumatic rear suspension, first introduced on the W126 range. In 1993, the 408hp, V12 engine was slightly detuned to 389hp to comply with more stringent emission control regulations. This S500L presents in very good order; its metallic blue paintwork and grey leather trim have aged well. The specification of the S500 Mercedes-Benz is excellent with, electric seats, air conditioning, anti-lock brakes and cruise control all standard fitment. This example is a long wheelbase Limo version offering even more refinement for passengers. Effortless driving is probably the best way to describe this example, which has been well maintained. Introduced in 1971, this impressive two-seater sports car replaced the 280 SL. The body and chassis of the third generation SL were considerably heavier and longer than its predecessor, but still showed a slight resemblance to them. The result was a luxurious 3.5 litre, V8 convertible. The engine underwent slight modifications to those being used on other models and the gear shift lever was placed on the floor in the centre of the car. The standard transmission provided a top speed of 130mph and a very respectable 0-62mph in 8.8 seconds. As with the previous generation SL's, the vehicle came as an open roadster with removable hardtop roof. The R107 body shape went on to become one of the longest running styles from Mercedes-Benz, remaining in production until 1989 with some 13 variants during that period. This superb 380 SL was originally delivered on 30th December 1980. In very good order throughout, the car has been treated to much restoration work in the past three years. The body was repaired where necessary and the paintwork stripped and refinished to a very high standard. All new chromework was fitted as well as a new soft top, carpets, fuel lines, fuel pump and four new tyres. The coachwork, interior and chromework all present very well as does the hardtop. Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2003, the first-generation Continental GT differed from previous incarnations due to it no longer being a coachbuilt car. However, as a result, the price at launch was significantly less than the Continental R (approximately half) which exposed the car to a much wider customer base. Despite the lower price however, the new GT was still roundly well received with celebrities, sports personalities alike buying in droves due to the six-litre, twin-turbocharged W12 engine with 552bhp coupled to opulent surroundings and an ultra comfortable ride. After all, this was designed to be a mile crunching continent cruiser and with that huge W12 engine coupled to a smooth six-speed automatic box distributed by the Quattro four-wheel drive system, it was equally at home in Mayfair as it was on the Autobahn where it was capable of an astonishing 196mph and a 0-60 time of just 4.7 seconds. The Bentley Turbo R initially inherited the turbocharged engine from the Mulsanne Turbo and also sported a retuned suspension and wider tyres on alloy wheels, quite a departure for a Bentley. From the 1987 model year however, the Turbo R's V8 engine was re-tuned with new Bosch MK-Motronic fuel injection for added torque. Other modifications carried out at the same time included new sports seats and a higher rear axle ratio. Motor Trend called the Turbo R €œthe first Bentley in decades deserving of the famous name€ in their review of the car on its introduction to the United States in 1989. The suspension changes, though seemingly subtle, transformed the heavy car into a real performer and slotted above the Bentley Mulsanne S and Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit, and it carved a well-deserved niche in the world of performance saloons. This desirable floor gear change example presents extremely well in the classic colour combination of dark metallic green with contrasting tan leather. Contained within the history file of this well looked-after Bentley is a number of invoices and an impressive 22 stamps in the service book. The first XJ was launched in 1968 and the designation has been used for successive Jaguar flagship models ever since. The original model was the last Jaguar saloon to have had the input of Sir William Lyons, the company's founder. With the introduction of the X308 generation in 1997 came a switch from the 'XJ6' nomenclature to 'XJ8', reflecting the fact that the X308 cars were powered by a new V8 engine. The exterior styling of the X308 was similar to its predecessor the X300, with minor refinements such as a change to oval indicator lenses and round fog lights. This desirable 4.2 litre V8 Sport example is presented in the desirable colour combination of Georgian Silver with Charcoal Black leather interior and maple wood trim. Boasting a comprehensive service history including seven stamps, the most recent in July 2021 at 64,397 miles and included an air conditioning re-gas. The Sport specification includes, wood and leather steering wheel, 18 alloy wheels, Xenon headlamps with pressure wash, climate control, navigation system, parking sensors, electric heated front seats with memory and electric steering wheel adjustment. Accompanying the car is a history file containing the service booklet, a new MoT test certificate, the UK V5 registration document and various sundry invoices, we believe you would struggle find a cleaner example.

Rick Stevens founded Kougar Cars in 1979, although the first (approximately 30) cars were marketed by a company called Storcourt Wells Ltd. He built the prototype in 1976 which incorporated an aluminium body, all the other cars have a fibreglass bodyshell.  Ricks inspiration for the Kougar originated in his ownership of a Jaguar S-Type saloon but recognised that it had a scrap value of only £100 to £200. He also realised that a first-class sports car could be made by connecting the heavy lumps of the Jaguar together with a simple light weight body and chassis unit. The sports car design was not directly inspired by any particular vehicle, but he admitted to having a certain fondness for the Frazer Nash TT replica and the Healey Silverstone.Registered on 19th April 1968 as a Daimler SP250, this Kougar is now fitted with the ultra-reliable 4235cc six-cylinder XK unit, mated to a manual gearbox with overdrive. Recent work carried out on this Kougar includes removing the body, inspecting, and painting the chassis. A new rack and pinion have been fitted as have a new clutch, radiator, and new carpets. The vendor - a knowledgeable classic car enthusiast has enjoyed owning WPO 464F and is only selling this stylish sports car due to lack of suitable storage space. We are advised she drives well, and the engine appeared to have excellent oil pressure during our inspection. Sitting proudly on wire wheels, this Kougar is offered for sale with a V5C registration document and a tonneau cover in anticipation of any inclement weather.

Five million Minis were produced between the revolutionary little car's launch in 1959 and the end of production in 2000 but individuality has never been a problem as there's never been any lack of choice between different models produced over the years. The Paul Smith was one of the most distinctive of a bewildering array of limited-edition Minis produced since this timeless classic's 25th birthday and it was the first edition to cost more than £10,000, retailing at £225 more. Sharing the basic specification with the revived Mini Cooper, it featured the 64bhp 1275cc fuel-injected engine, Minilite-type alloy wheels, full leather seats and that distinctive purple/blue hue chosen by the famous Bristol-owning clothes designer, colour-coded to include the wheel arch extensions and mirrors. With the extra torque from the twin-point fuel-injected engine, it was one of the few Mini variants to be fitted with the tall 2.76:1 final drive ratio, making it one of the most refined and relaxed Minis to drive. Just 1800 were built, of which only 300 were earmarked for the home market, the rest going to Japan although several have since been repatriated. Registered on 15th October 1998, this well-presented example is believed to have been the demonstrator for Richardsons of Tiverton for the first two months of its life before being purchased by its first owner who kept the vehicle for 18 years. A three owner from new example, the current vendor acquired the Mini circa five years ago and has maintained it to a high standard ensuring all service and maintenance work has been completed where necessary. Offered with many bills and invoices, a good service history, the original handbook and dealership brochure, V5 registration document and a MoT test certificate valid until April 2022. Rarely do Paul Smith editions come to the open market and this example offered without reserve should not be missed.

Sharing the Volkswagen Group A5 platform, it debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in October 2003 and went on sale in Europe one month later. The Golf Mk. 5 was replaced in 2009 with the Mk. 6. The GTI comes with VW's four-cylinder 2.0L Turbo engine (FSI) which gives it 197 bhp. Transmissions include a six-speed manual or six-speed DSG. The Mk. 5 is now regarded as probably the best incarnation of the legendary GTi after the original Mk. 1 of 1976-1983 and is fast acquiring modern classic status.Imported from Japan, this superb example from the daddy of hot hatches is presented in red with grey GTi check cloth interior and is immaculate throughout. The car comes with electric folding mirrors, cruise control, climate control, electric windows, six-speed DSG automatic gearbox, privacy glass, Xenon headlights along with 12 invoices and stamps. This particular GTis condition should be viewed in the flesh to really appreciate it. Great value, extremely low mileage and stunning to look at.

This model was introduced by the British Motor Corporation in 1952 and manufactured from 1953 to 1956. It was designed under the Nuffield Organization but by the time it was released, Wolseley was part of BMC. Much of the design was shared with the MG Magnette ZA which was released later in the same year. Unlike the MG, the 4/44 used the 1,250 cc XPAW engine a version of the XPAG engine previously seen in the later MG T-type series of cars but detuned by only having a single carburettor. The four speed manual transmission had a column change. The car had upmarket trim with wooden dashboard and leather seats and a traditional Wolseley radiator grille with illuminated badge but was expensive at GBP997 on the home market. The 4/44 was replaced in 1956 by the similar Wolseley 15/50.This lovely example of this very British model is presented in dark green with green leather interior showing a nice patina. The present owner has carried out some recent repairs and some upgrades, which include electronic ignition, electronic fuel pump, new stainless steel exhaust system, new tyres/tubes (Vredestein classic), full brake overhaul and a full service and MoT test certificate which expires in February 2023; the full list is available to read in the history file. The interior woodwork is in good condition, and we are told the car drives well. A wonderful traditional British motor car which is practical and spacious for those trips to shows and rallies.

When the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow was released to the public in October 1965, the development departments were showing the result of work carried out over a period of some ten years. The new models were technically striking in three ways. A monocoque chassis was used; all wheels were sprung independently and four-wheel disc brakes now ensured stopping power of the sort that had come to be expected in a modern car. Under the bonnet, the V8 engine that had been introduced in the Silver Cloud series was employed. In February 1977, the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II was introduced. The most notable changes mechanically were to the rack and pinion steering and modifications to the front suspension which improved handling markedly. This example is presented in the desirable period colour combination of brown and gold with a tan Connolly leather interior. Described by its engineer vendor as being in excellent all-round condition and a luxurious joy to drive and that even the original radio cassette player works. This Rolls-Royce exudes class and, we are informed, has benefitted from an extensive service history, and retains the original manuals and toolkit. Presented to auction with a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until February 2023, this quintessentially British car is offered without reserve.

The Jensen Interceptor was launched in 1966 and the all steel bodyshell broke away from the company's traditional method of construction that used GRP (glass reinforced plastic). Designed by Carrozzeria Touring, the early cars were built by Vignale before production eventually was carried out at the Jensen works in West Bromwich. Power was delivered by the Chrysler 6276cc, V8 through a TorqueFlite automatic transmission and final drive being a Salisbury axle with limited slip differential. 1968 saw the addition of power steering and, in 1969, the Mk. II was introduced with detail upgrades that included a revised front end and ventilated disc brakes. The imposing presence, power and distinctive shape that included the wrap around glass rear hatch drew the rich and famous to the marque. Production ceased in 1976 with a total of 6,408 Interceptors manufactured.Originally registered on 1st February 1970, this Jensen has only had three keepers from new. The file for EHN 287H confirms various sums of money have been spent on this Interceptor over the years, and contains numerous bills, receipts, and previous MoT test certificates. Finished in blue with a beige interior and described as driving with no known faults, this handsome Jensen is certainly an impressive looking car. This 6276cc engine is a delight when she bursts into life and is very responsive on the road; it is hard to believe this car is 52 years old. The styling of Interceptors is certainly impressive, borne out of how many admiring glances these cars attract on the open road. Supplied with a V5C registration document, this MoT test exempt Jensen is offered without reserve.

The Triumph Vitesse was introduced in May 1962, re-using a name previously used by the pre-Second World War Triumph Motor Company, and was an in-line six-cylinder performance version of the Triumph Herald small saloon. The Herald had been introduced on 22nd April 1959 and was an attractive two-door car styled by the Italian designer Giovanni Michelotti. Within two years, Triumph began to give thought to a sports saloon based on the Herald and using their six-cylinder engine. Michelotti was again approached for styling, and he came up with a car that used almost all body panels from the Herald, combined with a new front end with a slanted four-headlamp design. This elegant Vitesse shows only three owners since it was first registered in November 1964. Recently benefitting from a full respray, this Triumph now presents well in white with a contrasting red interior. We are informed that this Vitesse is a joy to drive and started on request. This hardtop version is offered for sale with a V5C registration document and without reserve. Some fun summertime driving awaits the successful bidder.

At the start of the 1990s, after the introduction of their two-seat, grand-tourer R129 SL and the Mazda MX-5, Mercedes-Benz set out to create a new compact roadster, slotted below the SL. By late 1991, under Bruno Sacco, the first design sketches were drawn, with scale models being built in the first half of 1992. Massively successful in its first year, worldwide sales hit 55,000, over double the entire nine-year production of 190 SLs and between 1996 and 2004, over 311,000 SLKs were sold. The roof design consists of a folding steel hardtop with both halves linked by a mechanism which is locked securely when the roof is closed. At the touch of a button on the centre console, a hydraulic system controls the fully automatic folding process in which the boot lid is also integrated.Originally registered on 6th November 1997, this Mercedes-Benz is finished in silver with a contrasting two-tone interior. The condition of this handsome German beauty is a testament to its previous owner. The options specified on the original invoice include leather trim and automatic transmission. The impressive power roof works faultlessly, and she is fitted with a Panasonic CD player. This car was registered as a Category C insurance loss in January 2001. With an engine that starts on the button, this Mercedes-Benz is described as driving with no known faults. Supplied with a V5C registration document this striking SLK 230 is offered for sale without reserve.

With a production run that lasted from 1963 until 1991, the Trabant 601 was unsurprisingly the most well-known model of the 2.8million Trabis finding homes. Produced by VEB Sachsenring in Saxony, the Trabant was the East German answer to its West German counterpart the VW Beetle. Affordable to buy and cheap to run, the Trabant displayed elements ahead of its time including front wheel drive, all round independent suspension and a low maintenance engine. There was often a 10-year waiting list to take delivery of one. This pleasant example has been well maintained and looks well in lime green with a cloth interior and represents a rare opportunity to acquire a retro design classic. Full of character, this little car is a tremendous head turner and is described as fun to drive. Presented to auction with a V5C registration document and, in spite of exemption by age, an MoT test certificate valid until 23rd September 2022. Offered without reserve, this iconic car would be ideal for advertising or just for fun.

The fifth generation of the BMW 7 Series consists of the BMW F01 (saloon version) and BMW F02 (long-wheelbase saloon version). The F01/F02 generation was produced from 2008 to 2015.The F01 was the first BMW vehicle to be available with a hybrid drivetrain, an eight-speed automatic transmission and a turbocharged V12 engine. It was the second 7 Series to be available with a turbocharged petrol engine (the first being the European E23 745i), and all-wheel drive (xDrive). The car's exterior was designed by Lebanese automotive designer Karim Habib. The styling retained some elements from its E65 7 Series predecessor but was a less controversial approach. The headlamps were reminiscent to the E65 but were smaller and sleeker. The car incorporated a wider and bigger kidney grille that went deeper into the front apron for a more aggressive appearance. The car was first revealed to the public in the Red Square in Moscow (Russia) on 8th  July 2008. Other launch events included the Paris Motor Show in October and the Los Angeles International Auto Show in November. This nice example of this German luxury saloon is presented in metallic grey with cream leather. It comes with the usual refinements synonymous with this marque, heated electric front seats, satellite navigation, cup holders, cruise control, privacy glass, climate control operated by the rear passengers and its had only two owners from new. It has some service history and a service having just been carried out by the present owner at a cost of circa £1000 which included an oil return pipe replacement, including a new MoT test certificate.

Therefore, the SL featured many new and innovative ideas, such as controlled electronic damping, automatically expanding roll-over bar and a more modern multi-link rear axle. In addition to this was a fully operating electric roof, windows, door mirrors and seats, which made this model easy and comfortable to operate. The new SL also boasted a more powerful engine and the stopping power was aided by anti-lock braking for added reassurance.First registered on the 27th February 1996 this Imperial Red example of the rarer 280 SL R129 was specified with optional five-speed automatic gearbox, front heated leather seats and headlight washers resulting in a total cost when new of £57,566. The car today is very smart sitting on later six spoke Mercedes alloy wheels and having had a full valet. Accompanying the car is a full book pack including comprehensively stamped service booklet with 14 stamps the most recent in December 2021 at 82,000 miles and an MoT test certificate until December 2022. A fast appreciating marque which we are sure will give boundless top down motoring enjoyment.Guide Price £10,000 - £15,000

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is a luxury saloon and was officially introduced in 1972 succeeding previous Mercedes-Benz models dating back to the mid-1950s. As the flagship of the Mercedes-Benz line-up, the S-Class has debuted many of the company's latest innovations, including drivetrain technologies, interior features and safety systems (such as seatbelt pre-tensioners). The W220 S-Class was completely restyled in 1999 with a body that was slightly smaller and lighter than its predecessor. As with each new S-Class, the W220 brought in new innovations such as Airmatic air suspension and Active Ventilated Seats (which used miniature fans in the seats to move air through perforations).Imported from Japan, this superb luxury Mercedes-Benz is presented in metallic silver with black leather interior. It comes with an electric glass sunroof, cruise control, climate control, electric heated front seats and electric folding mirrors. We are informed that it comes with a full service history with six invoices and stamps in the book and a mileage guarantee certificate. This car is a time warp owing to its absolutely exemplary condition throughout. So rare to find such a Mercedes-Benz in this condition and particularly with the larger V8 engine which makes for superb touring.

The Bentley Continental GT was the first car released by Volkswagen AG after their acquisition of the company in 1998. It was unveiled at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show, followed by Le Mans, Goodwood Festival of Speed and the annual Bentley Drivers Club meeting at Silverstone. The car differed significantly from the previous Continental R & T models in terms of its concept; although much of the car is hand-assembled, this Bentley is made in significantly larger numbers than previously. As a result, the price at launch was substantially less than the Continental R, thus exposing the car to a much wider and new customer base as a more affordable car. The Continental GT is equipped with a 6.0 litre, twin-turbocharged W12 engine and produces 552bhp at 6,100rpm and capable of travelling from 0-62mph in an impressive 4.8 seconds. Torsen-based permanent four-wheel drive is standard. Presented in Pewter Silver with Black Diamond stitched trim, this stunning example was first delivered to Manchester United football player Roy Keane on 17 May 2005. Offered with a comprehensive service history, this cherished example has spent its life garaged and driven approximately 1,000 miles a year in its current ownership. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a range of executive cars manufactured in various engine and body configurations. Produced since 1993, the E-Class falls mid-range in the Mercedes line-up and has been marketed worldwide across five generations. The largest factory-built engine in the E-Class range is the E500 which had its engine size increased to 5.5 litres in 2006 along with the facelift. This lovely example imported from Japan is presented in Silver with a very desirable interior colour of anthracite and dark red leather which looks fantastic. It comes with a full service history including ten invoices and a mileage guarantee certificate. Ford finally entered the mini-car market in 1976 with the launch of the Fiesta. The model proved an unqualified success right from the word go but surprisingly, it took nearly six years before a genuine performance version was added to the range, in the neat and tidy form of the XR2. This sporting model may well have been inspired by the famous success of the two Ford Fiestas in the 1979 Monte-Carlo Rally with the British entry driven by Roger Clark and aided by co-driver Jim Porter, and a German entry piloted by Ari Vatanen and co-driven by David Richards. Both cars were highly modified and were powered by competition tuned versions of the 1600cc Kent 'crossflow' engine - a later version of which was fitted in the Fiesta XR2, launched in 1981, latterly the CVH engine was used. Visually, the XR2 popped into the limelight in a range of new colours, with alloy wheels, and plastic trim decorating the interior and exterior. With a quoted performance of 0-60 mph in 9.3 seconds and 105 mph top speed, the XR2 hot hatch became a cult car beloved of boy racers throughout the 1980s. Originally registered on 28th March 1989, this Fiesta XR2 has been restored to a very good standard. The bodywork had any corrosive areas cut-out and refabricated as necessary, the finish on the silver paintwork is excellent. A good barometer of the quality of restoration is panel gaps and the restorer certainly took his time on the doors, take into account this was a mass-produced vehicle, they are excellent. The familiar grey cloth trim is in very good order and has clearly been repaired or replaced at some stage given the age and mileage of this car. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 2nd September 2022. The market in classic hot hatches has been warming up in recent years with enthusiasts and collectors wanting to seek out quality examples of the car they really wanted in their teenage years and the XR2 is always one that is at the top of the list. Offered for sale at a very realistic estimate given the superb condition.

The Mercedes-Benz R107 and C107 models were manufactured from 1971 through to 1989 and were the longest running production models after the G-Class. They were sold under the SL and SLC model names as the 280SL, 280SLC, 300SL, etc. up to the 560SL. The R107 roadster has been described as one of the best looking Mercedes-Benz cars produced to date. The larger, third generation SL, initially with just a 3.5-litre engine (350 SL) mated to four-speed automatic transmission. The car featured a two-door monocoque bodyshell with independent suspension all round, coil springs and anti-roll bar at the front, semi-trailing arms, coil springs and anti-roll bar at the rear. The power assisted steering was Daimler-Benz's own re-circulating ball system. Originally registered on 1st August 1986 this Mercedes-Benz has had a total restoration, including the bulkhead, of which the receipts are in the significant history folder. We are advised this 300SL drives with no known faults. The delightful colour combination of blue with grey leather interior makes this an aesthetically pleasing car to both look at and to drive. Launched at the 1963 Earls Court Motor Show, the P6, Rovers internal project name, was aimed at the young executive who wanted modern, sporting, high quality transport. Winner of the European Car of the Year Award 1964, it had an advanced design that included a De Dion tube rear suspension, disc brakes all round and an alloy bonnet and boot lid. The early four-cylinder power plants remained conventional until the introduction of the fabulous Buick derived 3528cc V8 which joined the party in 1968, and it is one of those V8 powered motor cars offered today. A Borg Warner 35 automatic was the only transmission until the 1971 addition of a four-speed manual 3500 S model, fitted with a modified version of the gearbox used in the 2000/2200. The letter S did not denote Sport, it was chosen because it stood for something specific on those cars: Synchromesh. However, it is important to note that the 3500 S was noticeably quicker than the automatic version of this car with a 0-60 mph time of 9 seconds, compared with 10.1 for the automatic car. Moreover, due to the fuel-guzzling nature of automatic gearboxes of this era, the manual car's official cycle was 24 mpg compared to the automatic's 22 mpg. This stunning Rover has been restored to concours standard and is a credit to the skilled workmanship as well as the current vendor. The Russet Brown coachwork is in unmarked condition and has a lovely finish to the paintwork. The red leather trim has been renewed and again, to a very high standard, the colour contrast between the exterior and interior certainly complements each other. The standard 3.5 litre block has been upgraded to a 4.0 litre, offering a brisker performance, the original block is available with the car if required. Start the engine on this P6 and it is immediately apparent this is a special motor car, the familiar V8 burble is evocative. We are advised this Rover drives very well with no known faults. Aesthetically, these are beautiful cars and the ergonomics make this a delightful car to drive. With every panel as straight as one could ever wish for and doors that close with the lightest of pressure and the faintest click, the phrase they dont build like that anymore springs to mind. Viewing is highly recommended of this Rover P6 3500 S to appreciate the quality.
