LEADWORKS, NORTH WALES: Mather Parkes & Co, manuscript valuation of their leadworks in North Wales, Jan 8th 1825, by one Robert Daglish: manuscript, 6pp+blanks, sheep backed marbled stiff card wrappers with printed label to upper, spine a little rubbed else in good condition. Based at Bagillt, near Holywell, but run from Liverpool, the firm appears to have been shortlived, being dissolved in 1827. In 1825 they advertised a 15 horsepower steam engine for sale, presumably replaced by the 25hp engine listed in this inventory. (1)
