Q674 GBU - Dutton Melos - 2000cc - A rare original Dutton Cars made Dutton Melos kit car. A classic 1980's fibreglass roadster kit car from the largest Kit Car manufacturers in Britain, Dutton Cars. Powered by a 2000cc Ford Sierra engine, the lightweight frame and fibreglass body makes for real wind-in-the-hair motoring. This example finished in yellow with green features, retaining the original and seldom-seen rain hood. The car comes with lots of paperwork including receipts and old MOT's. V5 present. Cosmetically very good, the car likely only requires light re-commissioning to work. The fibreglass body is well made and generally in very good condition, the lightweight Chassis appears similarly in very good condition. From a deceased estate - the car has been stood for some time (2+ years) and whilst turns over, does not start - and several fuel leaks are apparent. An affordable kit car project that likely only requires light recommissioning to bring back to a former glory.
LGW 402K - 1972 MGB GT - 1798cc - an icon of motoring; the classic MGB GT was first released in 1962 and was an instant success. This example coming from a deceased estate of eight-year ownership. This car is very original with original paint, engine and chrome accessories present. Powered by a 1798cc MG engine in good working order. This example being Tax and MOT exempt. Described as the late owner's ' pride and joy ' the car enjoyed many happy years of motoring, and likely only requires light re-commissioning to return to its former glory. It's last voluntary MOT expired in 2018. It has been regularly started but sat for a number of months. The engine starts exactly as it should, and appears to run well. Brakes work but appear to need some attention, and the carburettor could use a service. The brown vinyl interior appears complete, and still retains the original steering wheel and wooden gear knob. An honest and affordable classic, that requires only light re-commissioning. Additional information added 13/08/20 at 11:34am - a large box of paperwork relating to the vehicle has now been uncovered and is included within the sale. This includes the V5C, lots of old MOT's and insurance documents, a parts catalogue, photographs of the car and a spare set of keys.
