*Monoplane Evocation. Built in the late 20th century, this quarter-size, scratch-built fanciful representation of an early Bleriot-style monoplane, the construction appears to be based on a late Victorian bath chair, with 65cm solid-tyred direct-spoked wheels fitted to a 60cm wide common axle with plain bearings, the galleried back driver's seat is supported by full elliptical springing, the chassis is completed with direct steering to a single front wheel with acute castered forks and single vertical pin bearing, a 'U'-shaped bar allows for the support of the feet on either side of the steering tiller, mounted above the driver is a single-cylinder four-stroke engine, probably removed from a lawn mower, but featuring spinning magneto-electrics, a cooling fan, carburettor, exhaust and petrol tank, the crank spins a three-bladed propeller via a stabilising gear, the tail fin, wings and propeller have been created by stretching a doped fabric-style material over a solid-bar framework, creating a birdlike effect, clearly manufactured to a high standard, its specific original purpose is unknown, although possibly designed for a soapbox derby, or a cycle race of the Goodwood variety, height 116cm, width 270cm, length 206cm Exhibition as a fun display piece in a motoring museum or transport collection would be ideal. A motorised Pashley butchers bicycle, model number SW6, frame number 51948, build date 8th April 1986, with a fourteen inch front wheel, rod brakes, Shuresta centre stand mounted with a Cyclemaster 32 cc engine serial number 115741, manufactured 1953. Pashley were formed in 1926 in Aston, Birmingham, moving to Stratford-apon-Avon in 1986, http://www.pashley.co.uk/bikes/carrier-cycles/delibike.php Cyclemaster power wheels were first made in 1949 with a 25.7 ccengine, increasing in size to 32cc in 1951, by 1961 the market had dwindled and production ceased.
A silver six piece dressing table set, Birmingham/Chester 1912, with engine turned decoration, comprising; a rectangular tray 29.5cm x 20.5cm, weight 10oz, a circular trinket box (containing ten pieces of costume jewellery), raised on four pad feet, a hand mirror and three brushes, monogrammed (16).
An 18ct gold open faced pocket watch, signed Thos Yates, Preston, 1849, fusee lever movement signed and numbered 1256, diamond endstone, dust cover signed Yates Patentee, enamel dial, Chester hallmark, 45mm wide 21.01.16, Case with surface scratches, back cover with small dents and the engine turning is rubbed, hallmark and maker's marks are rubbed, dial with hairline cracks and chips to the recessed centre, movement in going order, total watch weight 88g.
A triple calendar moonphase pocket watch, circa 1900, lever movement, enamel dial with Roman numerals, four dials for seconds combined with moonphase aperture, date, day and month, engine turned back cover stamped inside 0.935, 49mm wide 25.04.16, Case with light surface scratches, back cover with small dents, dial with no damage, calendars are changing when setting the hands, adjustment date pusher is stuck and unable to push to adjust, movement is fully wound, balance is moving slowly, in going order.
A tonneau shaped limited edition stainless steel wristwatch, signed Tissot, 0320/6666 limited edition, circa 2000, lever movement engine turned silvered dial with Arabic numerals, seconds dial, Tissot strap and steel deployant clasp, 33mm by 43mm, with a Tissot box and booklet 25.04.16, Case with surface scratches, dial is clean, in going order.
A 9ct gold wristwatch, signed Tudor, 1956, lever movement signed, engine turned silvered dial with dagger and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds, case maker's mark RWC and numbered 292, Edinburgh hallmark, 33mm wide 22.04.16, Case with surface scratches, side with one small dent, later strap and buckle, dial is discoloured, movement in going order.
The Lanchester Motor and Carriage - 1903. Offered in two volumes, 'Descriptive Manual' dated January 1903 and 'Driving Manual' of a similar period, book one having 73 pp. and book two starting at page 73 and continuing to 197, full of good images of component parts, chassis layout, engine, controls, wheels, steering and the like, Manual II explaining the controls, driving skills, maintenance and tools available, matched black bindings with gilt titles, the title-page and front endpaper missing from Manual I, both books have seen 'use', but are fundamentally sound (2)

Probably Bentley's first six cylinder leaflet No 9 dated August 1926, 8 pp. including cover, well-defined images of the engine, chassis, two Weymann -bodied saloons, component parts, specifications and prices in red and black text, the original cotton-tied spine intact, albeit with a split top and bottom, water damage on the lower fore-edge of each page, some surface loss and the odd stain, editorial good (1)

Beverley 22-90hp - 1930. A 12 pp. landscape style brochure for this 2956cc 'Straight Eight' motor-car circa 1930, illustrating the engine, two chassis lengths, components and the four-door saloon at 75, with a brown card cover, corners folded and title page a little creased, but editorial good (1)
1930 Lagonda. A prestigious hardback and large-format colour brochure dated March 1930, 24 pp. and free endpapers, covering the 2-litre Speed Model (Low Chassis) Tourer and imaging the chassis, engine and T2 body style with specifications, also promoting the down-draft head 'Special' version and the standard saloon, also shown is the 3-litre chassis, engine, touring and saloon bodies, with specifications, together with the coach built Tourer, Enclosed-Drive, Four and Six-Light Weymann n Saloons, with interior and facia views, in very clean condition, just a little paper loss on the spine, and knocked upper fore-edge (1)
Bentley 6 1/2-Litre. Dated October 1928, a large format brochure (Catalogue 27) of 36 pp., a prestigious brochure, from it is believed, the A. Rivers-Fletcher library, and probably a presentation copy, quarter bound in green cloth with a dark green leather spine, the book opening to reveal free end-papers, a half title page and a full title page with a F. Gordon Crosby colour image of a Bentley on a mountain pass, tipped-in opposite. Page 5 gives a Preface, then a list of outstanding features, specifications, coachwork, prices and service guarantees, various tinted vignettes of component parts to include the chassis and engine, with eight monochrome images of various coachwork to include the Weymann n Touring Car, Open Touring Car, Cabriolet Coup‚, Weymann n Saloon etc., below each picture are various colour sketches of social scenes and captions, in impressive condition, the hard cover with a gilt Bentley motif on the front and title on the spine, with barely perceptible corner bumps, the editorial near perfect, a delight (1)
Bentley 4 1/2 Litre. A large format 'leaflet No 32', dated January 1930, 12 pp. including the cover and featuring on page 10 and 11, 'The New Supercharged Bentley 4 1/2 Litre' illustrating the 'Le Mans' car with its Amherst Villiers Mk IV supercharger, Also with well-defined images of the engine, chassis, sporting four-seater, Weymann n bodied saloon, component parts, specifications and the prices of the supercharged model with printed reductions, this publication has lost its cotton ties and is now held by a plastic spine grip, the pages are rather soiled and the rear page with some paper loss, however, a good working copy of this rare brochure (1)
Bentley Speed Six. A rare large format, hardbound 'The Silent Speed Six' catalogue No 33, dated October 1929, possibly the first Speed Six brochure, it possesses 24 pp., free endpapers and is quarter-bound in green figured cloth with a dark green buckram spine, the content includes well-defined sepia images of the showroom, engine, chassis and components, together with images of two and four-door Weymann-bodied saloons, Tourers, and a Coup‚ de Ville, with specifications, a list of racing successes and service guarantee, the cover with a silver plate, 'The World's Finest Sport Car' affixed, the corners and spine tops a little bumped, the rear cover with a water stain, pages loose but not demounted, editorial very good (1)
Circa 1927 New Safety Stutz 8. A 32 pp. brochure and decorative green card cover, featuring all of the safety elements being a recurring theme in the automobile industry, in the case of Stutz, the car featured safety glass, a low centre of gravity for better handling, and a hill-holding transmission called 'Noback', the vehicles featured include the five-passenger Saloon, the Victoria Coup‚, Speedster, Sedan and Sedan-Limousine, included are monochrome images of interiors, special features, engine details, and a centre page cut-away of a saloon, the cover imperceptibly rubbed on the edges, original staples intact, pages very good (1)
AC Two Litre. A large 8 pp. brochure dating late 1940s, illustrating the four and two door saloon, with a Max Millar cut-away and detailed images of the engine, also, a rare 2 pp. broadsheet promoting the 'Buckland' Sports Tourer, a 1953 4 pp. leaflet describing and illustrating the Ace, a brochure for the AC428 convertible, and several road tests, all in good, clean condition, with only mild creasing (8)
Connaught Cars. 'Hand Finished-One at a Time. An interesting book, double-fold opening broadsheet imaging the car, bonnet open and engine bay with detailed specifications, also a similar sized Alta 9hp Sports & Competition Cars, circa 1933, 12 pp. and grey card cover, detailed text and image of the car No 1, delightful vignettes, and a Ferguson centre spread cut-away, cover slightly faded, otherwise both brochures are in good condition (2)
The Packard April 1915. A promotional magazine issued by The Packard Motor Co., 24 pp. and cover, with detailed articles and monochrome images, punched holes in the spine, also Packard Forty-Eight, a 16 pp. landscape brochure, circa 1914, promoting the Packard Series 4-48 with specifications, and information, introduced in February 1914, only 441 4-4's were constructed, replacing the former T-head engine was a new, 525 cubic-inch six-cylinder 'Dominant Six,' that developed 60 horsepower, this brochure with 1948(?) in manuscript on the front cover, some foxing (2)

Conway (Hugh). Bugatti Magnum, 1989, retaining its distinctive engine-turned slipcase and chassis plate numbered 1941, limited to 2,000 copies, 560 pages, 800 monochrome and 73 colour illustrations, in good condition with a little scuffing, a blue cloth binding with a Bugatti logo stamped to front board, small inscription in blue pen on the half-title A comprehensive look at Bugatti history, the family, the cars, the company, the mechanics and the racing. The book ends with a list of racing successes, a register of chassis numbers and a bibliography. (1)
