Twin 7 inch diameter spoked flywheels. Cylinder being water cooled. Side rod operating inlet valve, ignition plug fitted. Carburetor, fitted Lucas magneto with chain linkage and throttle control. A rare early 1900's 'unusual top-rod' Internal combustion petrol engine of approximate one horse power, having inlet control to carburetor, disc crank with oiler, gear and bevel gear to over-type rod operating the inlet valve, water cooled. The original cast-iron base with bracket for magneto and the engine has a large single spoked flywheel 13 3/4 inches in diameter. Un-restored engine. Overall length 56cm. Width 29cm.

A well-engineered model of a Stuart Turner 800 gas engine, this engine has been built for use as an internal combustion petrol engine being fitted with a spark plug. The single cylinder engine with balanced open crank, oiler system, side rod operating inlet and outlet valves with bevel gear linkage to speed governor. The model mounted on polished wooden plinth with floor standing box stand and finished in dark blue lined paintwork with polished bright-work, split bearings, exhaust and water tower for engine cooling. The model sold together with a box containing carburetor, fuel tank, two spare spark plugs and a set of builders plans. Plinth measurements 82cm x 28cm. Height of engine to top of water tower 32cm.

The cylinder block supported on eight turned columns. Stephenson's reverse gear operated by end lever, fitted water and condenser pumps, open balanced crank with fitted brass oiler cups. The model finished in green paintwork and having black wooden base block. Length 25cm. Width 13cm. Overall height 21cm.

Water tank, hand-operated water feed pump to horizontal gas fired copper boiler having steam pressure gauge, water sight glass fittings (glass tube missing) safety steam valve, boiler drain points, steam flow control and whistle. The whole mounted on a wooden base 55cm x 35cm. Overall height to top of chimney 45cm.

A gold medal winning exhibition â…• inch scale model of the 1950's Rolls Royce Derwent Mark 9 turbojet aero engine, with a single stage centrifugal compressor built by Mr John Heeley of Huddersfield from his own research and information taken from the prototype at Newark Aircraft Museum. The original engine was designed by Adrian Lombard at Rovers prior to Rolls Royce taking over the jet project. It is fitted with 9 combustion chambers and a single stage turbine, generator, air cooling, air intakes, air compressor with radial blades, fuel pump, oil pump and baffles. Engine diameter 10 inches. Length 19 inches. These engines were fitted to the Armstrong-Whitworth Meteor Mk 12. Night Fighter. The engine comes with a set of build photographs in folder and had a four page feature in the specialist publication 'Model Engineer' Vol. 210. No 4450. A copy of The Model Engineer comes with the engine. Awards: This fine model won a gold medal at The Model Engineering Exhibition Class No A3/5 and a 1st Certificate at The National Model Engineering and Modelling Exhibition 2012. The boiler supporting single cylinder with safety valve, open balance crank motion, spoked flywheel and worm and chain steering, coal bunker and fair-leads with wire winch. The model finished in green, red and black livery with polished brass boiler bands and strakes spoked wheels with polish brass wheel hubs.
